Breakfast Burrito with a side of pico.
Adam L.

I have been to Toasted many times. I am on the hunt for a LARGE good tasting breakfast burrito and I thought I would give them a try. Their portions on their other stuff have been good to great. The burrito was very good, but as I have found at all the places I have tried, it was small for the price. Some of the bacon pieces were almost burned. I will stick with the Mama's Chicken Fried Steak from now on.

I visited with a larger group of seven people, and while the wait was longer than we would have liked, the cafe was very busy, so it was understandable. The service was fantastic. The woman who took care of our table was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. She did a great job making sure we had everything we needed despite how packed the restaurant was. I ordered the French toast, and it was really good. It had great flavor and a nice texture. I also loved that it came with eggs, bacon, and sausage--I always appreciate having plenty of protein options with breakfast. The space itself was clean, well-organized, and comfortable. Parking was also easy since there was a large lot available. Overall, I had a great experience and would happily come back.

We visit this place so often, they worry if they haven't seen us in 3 weeks! I just love the staff; Maria and Jenny always take great care of us! I have so many favorites on the menu but I like that there's light option when I'm trying to eat better and hearty options for when I'm hungry! I love the set up of the place and the music that they play!

Amazing service. Bailey (girl in the front) was very nice and welcoming- we also noticed she was very proactive and making herself useful- she was putting silverware away, packaging orders and still managing the front check in area like a pro! Kudos! She deserves a raise Our waiter was also very polite- had great drink suggestions. And, we met MARTIN- very polite and friendly, even brought out some chile toreado without even being asked 10/10 service. Yes, it was busy but they are very organized and had everyone seated quickly. Food! 10/10- from the tacos I was able to make 4 tacos and they were yummy. My boyfriend really enjoyed the country fried steak, the eggs and the hash browns. please don't be discouraged by any of the other reviews- we are foodies and we're truly impressed. Give this place a try.

Came for breakfast and wow! It's so cute with the decorations of Harry Potter. We got seated immediately. Our server was nice and reliable. I believe she was the only server working, and she still managed everybody. Our food and drinks came out quick as well. Their Harry Potter menu was a must, I got their Butter Beer Latte. The food was so flavorful and hot. Overall, it was a good first time experience. Will be coming back for their cocktails.

This is my favorite brunch spot in town! I always get the chili Verde posole. It's truly the best I can't recommend them enough! If you are wanting good food go here! Plus the staff is quick and always taking care of you.

Our group came here based on a friend's recommendation who loves Toasted. We arrived at 9am on a Saturday and just beat the rush to get seated right away. The place is cute and clean. I had the Chilaquiles divorciados, both sauces were good, although I preferred the green. The breakfast totchos were an interesting spin on tater tots for breakfast, they were very filling. Portion sizes were big, I definitely could have shared and still have been satisfied. It did take around 15 minutes for our drink order to be taken, I understand it's busy, although I want to share my experience.

We went for a weekday graduation lunch and had a great experience. The service was excellent, and everything we ordered was delicious. Even though it was busy, the staff provided attentive service, and we did not have to wait long for our food. We would definitely come back again!

French Toast and Good af Benedict, Jamaica Amor refresher
Katherine D.

Very nice service! Wait was not too long for Sunday brunch. Place is cute. The food was good, I wasn't super impressed by the French toast. They were very goey in the center. Food in general lacked seasoning. The refresher was super sweet. The tater tots were crispy. The hash browns could be crispier. Overall, nice place, not the best. I didn't feel like it was anything special.

Bacon Avocado Chicken Sandwich

The food was delicious, I had the grilled chicken sandwich along with an agua Fresca and both were amazing. J also tried their mazapan iced coffee which I was a bit hesitant on but it was actually great. I would get it again! I will say the service was very slow, it took us a bit over an hour to get our food for 3 people. Other than that it was great.

Went to grab a bite to eat with my husband last Sunday and it was my first time at toasted. The first thing I noticed was a pretty good size crowd waiting outside. We got on the wait list and they called me back really fast. We waited maybe 10 minutes or so. Now my waitress was the best! Actually the entire staff was just so friendly. We never had to wait for our drinks to be refilled. She answered any questions I had regarding the menu and even gave me recommendations based on what I told her that I liked. I order breakfast tacos and my husband got a eggs with biscuits and gravy. The portion sizes were plenty! The food had great flavor. I wish more places in Bakersfield had customer service like this. Even the guys cleaning up the tables offered me to go water cups. It truly is the little things that matter. I wish toasted all the success!!

Breakfast Totchos, you better be hungry
Matthew C.

I rarely eat out for breakfast, so decided to stop briefly before heading out of town. Friday morning, and there were already several other hungry diners. This spot has a fairly large dining area, so even though it was a bit crowded, there were still plenty of available tables and we were seated promptly. I opted for the Mazapan coffee and I really enjoyed it, a mild flavored coffee with a nutty and creamy flavor. For breakfast I had the order of French Toast served with sausage, bacon, hash browns and scrambled eggs. The eggs were absolutely perfect. Very light and fluffy, as were the hash browns. The sausage was good, but only slightly warm which I didn't like. The bacon was good, but it was a thicker cut of bacon so it wasn't as crispy as I would've liked. I loved the French Toast! Cooked perfectly, warm and delicious. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. I wasn't prepared for how generous their portions were, so come hungry.

Cali' Benedict
Alyssa A.

Ordered a Cali Benedict - what was supposed to be poached eggs , came as hard boiled eggs. Yes, I ordered through Postmates but as the manager on shift tried to explain, No, it wasn't the steam from the to-go box that overcooked the "poached eggs".

Their salted chocolate chip cookies are also pretty good especially when warmed up. I love that they have a small adjoining room that they host different small events. On different occasions I've seen a community games group there, looks fun. My only complaint with any local coffee shop in Bakersfield is the hours, I support local coffee shops, but finding good ones that are open later is difficult, but that's just a preference for me. I will return here because it's a great spot with heartfelt work, great service, and good coffee! You also have to check out their merch, I had to buy a hat here, they looked great! P.s. don't forget to sign up for their rewards program, it honestly feels like one of the best I've ever seen! You will not regret it!

It's pretty big overall and I just love that for the area. Got a cold brew, a short bread cookie matcha latte and a brown butter chocolate chip cookie. All were pretty great. The cookie was the best. I haven't had such a soft cookie given to me at an establishment in a long while. It was a great surprise. The latte was well balanced. Wasn't too sweet and I could taste everything they said was in it. Liked it quite a bit. Fiancé liked his cold brew as well, he was glad he got a large. Service was great! Everyone was nice and answered all our questions. Will try and come here more often!

I was…read morealready a milk tea kinda girlie in the boba universe, but this was the first beverage of theirs that I tried and it scratched a certain itch I'd been unconsciously craving. Something old-world maybe? Like a flavor that's existed for centuries and been passed down through time and so so many generations... and it's now landed in our corner of the world that's just a few blocks away? Globalization and the world within, for f' sakes! This place is truly brilliant. More recently, I'm only in town a few days out of the week, but I make a point to visit this location or their other location, Mokhamena on Panama, each day I'm here to, at a minimum, pick up two for myself--the first one is to function and the second is to savor. There was a time I'd pick up the party-size for my coworkers when I liked them... but alas, times have changed so more for me. The staff there are always friendly and awesome, and on days that I'm lucky enough, I get to actually enjoy the cafe. So grateful you guys are here and sharing flavors from across the world.

As I pulled up into the plaza, there was ample parking and the cafe was easy to find. They have a lot of cute tables inside, good for hanging out, studying, or getting some work done. There was also cute fall decor. Looking back at my photos now... I see a discrepancy in pricing for my Iced Pistachio Latte. The physical menu says $8 and the digital menu says $7... not sure what I paid for it because they didn't give me a receipt. I asked for it with Oat Milk, not sure if there are additional charges. On a positive note that iced pistachio latte was delicious, especially the sips with chunks of pistachio sauce. Yum. Wanting to support the small business I also got their Bitifour ($2) and the Baklava ($6). The bitifour was described as a butter shortbread cookie which I really like but this version was on the dry, not buttery, and not sweet enough side for a cookie. The baklava came with 2 pieces in one order. I liked the baklava a lot more than the bitifour. I really liked the pistachio latte but I have a hard time giving a business 5 stars when their pricing is fuzzy. I'm all for pricing changes and increase to adapt to business cost, but it's funny they went out of the way to update the physical menus and not the much easier digital menu.

If im clueless let me in on the Vietnamese coffe you know of...anyhoo If you're looking for a caffeine kick, the cold canned Vietnamese coffee will give you a jolt you wouldn't believe. Food-wise, the Peruvian grilled cheese sandwich was flavorful and well made, but I'd recommend asking for the sauce on the side unless you enjoy a messy sandwich. The ham and cheese croffel had great flavor, but it was a little light on the ham and cheese. I think the cropples are better suited in the sweet variety as they seem small incompressants to a ham and cheese croissant someone would purchase for about half that price. In my opinion, it was more of a kid's snack than a meal and not quite worth the price, if you're actually hungry I would go with something else off the menu. Everything was made fresh , you must be patient here , perfection can be slower than your metabolism, so dont go there hangry. During my visit, Hector explained that he envisions Uncharted Adventures as a gathering place for the community. The business frequently hosts weekend vendor markets and local running clubs. Hector also shared he was creating a dedicated Memorial Day wall honoring local veterans, first responders, and teachers, while also working on an outdoor eating area. It's always great to see a Hector and Chris, and the new Adventures they take on.
