I hadn't been back here since the first few weeks they'd opened so I took my kids one morning on a whim. It is a pretty big restaurant with lots of seating for big parties. They have a nice menu with lots of options but nothing too fancy. I decided to try the veggie omelet with country potatoes. The omelet was stuffed full of veggies and was good. The country potatoes were just ok. My daughter got a chorizo burrito and said it was good and my other daughter went with the French toast and said it was delicious. The prices were decent so if you're looking for a nice breakfast spot, this is your place!

California Omelette & Chili con Carne

The omelette did not have too much flavour. The chilli con carne was very cold & tastes like it came from a can. The potatoes I can't complain about, very good The service was very friendly. And parking was amazing

This is a cute little diner in a strip mall. I went at 10:30 am on a Saturday and it wasn't very busy. I was seated quickly, and the waitress came right over for my drink order. I ordered the spinach and mushroom omelet with a side of bacon. The kitchen read the order incorrectly and put bacon on the omelet. The waitress was extremely apologetic and said they could remake it. I told her it was fine, though she did bring another side of bacon. The place is kitschy, though very clean. I'll add it to my restaurant rotation.

The restaurant is bright and airy Americana decor. They have a good size patio for outdoor dining. We had a short wait for a table, but Sunday at 12:30pm is when all the church people descend upon the restaurants. Our server, Faith, was very pleasant, attentive and allowed us plenty of time to peruse the menu. It did take quite a while to get our food once we did order, but the restaurant was full. I had the Eggs Benedict, the eggs were poached perfectly but the hollandaise did not taste homemade. I was rather disappointed because for me the whole point was the hollandaise. The food here is pretty good I will just order something else next time. One of my fellow diners and I made requests to change some of our meal. We were accommodated with a smile and 'We'd be happy to'. I appreciate when a restaurant is willing to accommodate my dining requests. My Mom ordered Oatmeal, it was accompanied with raisins, brown sugar & cream, so you can customize your cereal. My Dad had the Sunrise skillet which was served on a sizzling cast iron skillet with scrambled eggs, cheese, potatoes, veggies & protein. I had a bite and it was delicious. Our other two diners had Biscuits topped with scrambled eggs & gravy. He called it poor man's eggs Benedict. Then our last guest had an Omelette with bacon, cheese and avocado. I had a taste of most things and the food was tasty. The service is always good here and the prices are about the average of what most coffee shops charge.

The food is good, the staff are lovely....the owner needs to stop taking money from our tips. Thumbs down.

Food was alright, service was slow and unorganized. Frustrating to see people who came in after you get food before you

NY steak was amazingly tender and cooked perfectly, the kind of steak that really does not need much done to it because the flavor already speaks for itself. They served it with chimichurri sauce, which just was not exactly my cup of tea, but once I added Worcestershire sauce, it really brought out the flavor of an already all-star steak. The Chicken Fried Steak 'n' Eggs with hash browns was also very tasty Steak even the batter had flavor and definitely worth it. The chicken fried steak had that good comfort food quality to it, with a crispy outside, tender bite, and a savory flavor that worked really well with the eggs. The hash browns helped round everything out nicely and even the biscuits and gravy which im generally not a fan of was very good. Service from Holly, and I hope I got that right, was amazing from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive, and made the visit feel easy and comfortable. Even the iced tea stood out to me because it tasted like the homemade sun tea I make every year by the pool, and that gave the whole meal an extra familiar touch. Overall, this was a very strong visit with a standout steak, a satisfying breakfast plate, and excellent service.

Honest Review: my wife and I stopped by 24th street cafe after mass on a Sunday Morning. Although it being pretty busy, we were able to be seated after only about 10 mins. We were a small group of 3. The restaurant itself was very clean. My wife ordered the chile verde omelette and I opted for the chicken fried steak. Our foot arrived after about 15 mins. Everything was fresh and hot. My chicken fried steak was very tough. And I have a good set of teeth. And the breading was coming off so by the time I got to the end, I was left with a bare steak. The Eggs and hashbrowns were both cooked perfectly. Nothing special. My wife's chile verde omelette was just ok. The chile verde portion was good and had nice chunks of meat, but the omelette was nothing special. The pan fried potatoes were pretty plans and just lacked flavor. We both got sides of biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were excellent. But again the gravy just missed the mark. Lacking flavor.

The rib was probably the best of the meats. The trip was okay. The food is buffet food so I don't have really high expectations. For a traditional family style buffet I would give the a 3.5 on the food. They had a great selection on salads made in house. The meat guy recommended the broccoli salad and I tried it. It was pretty good. It's been at least 15 years since I've had broccoli salad. That did not disappoint. My wife liked the good variety and selection, and the fried chicken was pretty good. My son liked the apple cobbler and their homemade peanut butter cookies. The service was exceptional. Everyone working there was pleasant and friendly. 5 of 5 for service. The atmosphere, the design and theme was very appropriate, although dated it is still very welcoming and appropriate for the venue. With that being said, the carpet was filthy and the upholstery was warn and old. It looks dated and tired. They can keep the overall theme and look, but give the restaurant an updated facelift of sorts. The seasonal decorations were nice. The store gift shop sold miscellaneous items including some of their baked goods, so that was cool. The lighting needs to be updated. That would really enhance their atmosphere. The bathrooms. You can learn a lot about a place from the bathroom. These weren't filthy per se but the floors were pretty nasty. It always grosses me out when my shoes stick to the tiles. The fixtures were on par with a lot of the restaurant, old, dated, and tired. Formica countertops? A lot of these design elements just need to be polished up. I think this is a great part of the Bakersfield community, but I think it's been a bit neglected. It's probably family owned for a while and the kids or whatever have gotten complacent with the business. I'm not saying it is poorly ran and the positive experience with their staff can attest to that. But they can use some freshening up. Tip to owner, I didn't see any take out happening during my visit but in today's food retail market, take out is HUGE! Especially with the Holiday season and football games etc. I have a feeling you are missing out on some of your local market. Reach out if you want a more detailed discussion. Bakersfield is poised to grow and i hope that you are poised to grow as a local business as well. I'm glad we stopped by on our way back to Sacramento.

I guess because it's a sports bar restaurant, and it's in Bakersfield. I got the shock of my life. It turned out, this was the best barbecue food I ever had. Not only that, but it's very affordable. I would say a bargain. I didn't have to spend 100+ dollars for 2 persons, like a lot of so called high quality barbecue restaurants. The briskets and ribs were amazing. Delicious, flavorful, and melts in your mouth. Sides were also delicious. The service was good too. You just go up and get your order. It took a little time, but the staff is helpful and friendly.
