Bailey (girl in the front) was very nice and welcoming- we also noticed she was very proactive and making herself useful- she was putting silverware away, packaging orders and still managing the front check in area like a pro! Our group came here based on a friend's recommendation who loves Toasted. We arrived at 9am on a Saturday and just beat the rush to get seated right away. The place is cute and clean. I had the Chilaquiles divorciados, both sauces were good, although I preferred the green. The breakfast totchos were an interesting spin on tater tots for breakfast, they were very filling. Portion sizes were big, I definitely could have shared and still have been satisfied. This spot has a fairly large dining area, so even though it was a bit crowded, there were still plenty of available tables and we were seated promptly. I opted for the Mazapan coffee and I really enjoyed it, a mild flavored coffee with a nutty and creamy flavor. For breakfast I had the order of French Toast served with sausage, bacon, hash browns and scrambled eggs. The eggs were absolutely perfect. Very light and fluffy, as were the hash browns. The sausage was good, but only slightly warm which I didn't like. The bacon was good, but it was a thicker cut of bacon so it wasn't as crispy as I would've liked. I loved the French Toast! Went for breakfast with my family, I really enjoyed it, waitress was friendly. The place was cute but a tad small. Was a lil crowded. I had a veggie omelet and potatoes with a biscuit. So I invited my Neighbor to one of my favorite spots and like always the food was delicious. She ordered the waffle plate and let me tell you those waffles are not only big , crunchy and soft at the same time. I like always I enjoyed my chicken steak made to perfection. Our waiter was very patient and in taking order as we were catching up and enjoying our caramel coffee. There is plenty of sitting and it's always clean and tidy. Decided to take my parents to a different spot for breakfast/brunch. This spot reminds me of a Cafe I've been to in Pismo. The decor is simple and open and Modern. They have plenty of tv's to look at and the stafe is very friendly. Jose was our waiter and apologized for the short staff. My mom got the tri tip breakfast and said her meat was very tender and seasoned beautifully. My dad got the pork chops and said the meat was also very tender and easy to cut. Side note if you enjoy drinking coffee like I do please note they only serve half and half and no other creamer. I would say for me that was the only down fall of this restaurant. With that being said next time I come I will be bringing my own creamer from home lol. If you indulge in alcoholic drinks I seen they have a variety of options. I got the pismo tacos with fruit as my side. Needless to say I never finish my plate but I did today. Went to grab a bite to eat with my husband last Sunday and it was my first time at toasted. The first thing I noticed was a pretty good size crowd waiting outside. We got on the wait list and they called me back really fast. We waited maybe 10 minutes or so. Now my waitress was the best! Actually the entire staff was just so friendly. We never had to wait for our drinks to be refilled. She answered any questions I had regarding the menu and even gave me recommendations based on what I told her that I liked. I order breakfast tacos and my husband got a eggs with biscuits and gravy. The portion sizes were plenty! The food had great flavor. I wish more places in Bakersfield had customer service like this. This review is a bit late but it's worth mentioning. I went to Toasted with my sister on 4th of July around 11:00am. Even though the wait was understandably long to get in, we decided it would be worth a try since they were so kind to accept her certified emotional support dog Papacitio. I really appreciate that they are a dog friendly establishment "as long as they are quiet and on the smaller side" they said. They were so kind and attentive there. It was busy but clean with a nice ambiance and the food and drinks came out quickly. We started with a mimosa flight and a crème brûlée latte, all delicious and appealing to the eye. Then we shared a Greek Omelette which was a large potion, definitely enough for two and it hit the spot. Papacitio was offered a water which was really sweet. Toasted is a great place to spend time with those you love while enjoying some good food and service. You couldn't ask for much more in an establishment. This place won my heart. read more

Toasted is always a treat! Some friends invited us to brunch with them today. I saw 7 different dishes: The Hot Daing, Belgian waffle, Avocado Toast, kids grilled cheese, kids chicken strips, wife's omelette, son's Big Mama's country fried steak breakfast, and my GOAT skillet. The dishes came out within two minutes of each other - all served hot and fresh. Even the kids' plates looked good; adult food on a kids' plate. They have a number of nonalcoholic juice drinks, and my son ordered the piña loca. Really good blend of flavors. Our friends who invited us to brunch with them has never been there, and they loved it! I went this morning with my husband and daughter, I thought hey let's try this place, it should be good since it's always busy. I was wrong, starting off the Mexican style lattes were horrible compared to a local coffee shop here in town. The food was not good, my husband ordered the chilaquiles he was unsure with which sauce to get and the waitress said he can get both ( she didn't tell us it would be $2 extra charge ) ridiculous. he said they were edible but wouldn't get them again, I got the chile verde with eggs, I didn't even finish my plate, the beans tasted like they were from a can, chili verde tasted frozen. My daughter got the kids pancake breakfast and she doesn't eat meat so I kindly asked the waitress if instead of the breakfast meat could I get a slice of toast, which you think that would be okay because bread is way cheaper than meat lol, but when she came back she said the manager said no they couldn't do that... again ridiculous.
