French Toast and Good af Benedict, Jamaica Amor refresher
Katherine D.

Very nice service! Wait was not too long for Sunday brunch. Place is cute. The food was good, I wasn't super impressed by the French toast. They were very goey in the center. Food in general lacked seasoning. The refresher was super sweet. The tater tots were crispy. The hash browns could be crispier. Overall, nice place, not the best. I didn't feel like it was anything special.

Decided to take my parents to a different spot for breakfast/brunch. This spot reminds me of a Cafe I've been to in Pismo. The decor is simple and open and Modern. They have plenty of tv's to look at and the stafe is very friendly. Jose was our waiter and apologized for the short staff. My mom got the tri tip breakfast and said her meat was very tender and seasoned beautifully. My dad got the pork chops and said the meat was also very tender and easy to cut. Side note if you enjoy drinking coffee like I do please note they only serve half and half and no other creamer. I would say for me that was the only down fall of this restaurant. With that being said next time I come I will be bringing my own creamer from home lol. If you indulge in alcoholic drinks I seen they have a variety of options. I got the pismo tacos with fruit as my side. Needless to say I never finish my plate but I did today. It was just the right amount of food to leave you feeling satisfied and not needing to haul off leftovers. Although I did see a lady a table length away get there chicken fried steak and it was massive. Can't wait to come back again and try there breakfast out. This is a great spot for breakfast and brunch and lunch.

First time visiting. It was great. Staff was friendly. We walked in on a Friday around 10:30 and was surprised to see a packed restaurant at such an off hour! We kinda knew at that point it would be pretty good! We did have to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. We waited outside and the weather was perfect. Nice seated our server couldn't have been any friendlier. The menu had so many delicious options it took a while to narrow it down. I ordered chili verde and eggs and wife ordered the Karen omelette. So good! Every thing was freshly made! So much flavor! Restaurant was clean even being completely full capacity! Bathrooms were sparkling clean as well! 10/10 experience which is hard for a breakfast spot!!

This neighborhood Hotspot has so many cool dishes on the menu! The staff is great and the food is delicious! On the weekends, get there before 9am to avoid wait time!

So I invited my Neighbor to one of my favorite spots and like always the food was delicious. She ordered the waffle plate and let me tell you those waffles are not only big , crunchy and soft at the same time. I like always I enjoyed my chicken steak made to perfection. Our waiter was very patient and in taking order as we were catching up and enjoying our caramel coffee. There is plenty of sitting and it's always clean and tidy. The only downfall is that they only have two restrooms for such a big crowd.

Stopped in here for my birthday breakfast, my oldest son and his girlfriend invited out to this spot. I ordered the hot dang. Service was great, they took care of us fast and were welcoming throughout our time here. It was a busy morning but the staff kept the flow good and the place was clean. I would recommend this place in a heart beat. Plenty of seats/table and TVs.

Went to grab a bite to eat with my husband last Sunday and it was my first time at toasted. The first thing I noticed was a pretty good size crowd waiting outside. We got on the wait list and they called me back really fast. We waited maybe 10 minutes or so. Now my waitress was the best! Actually the entire staff was just so friendly. We never had to wait for our drinks to be refilled. She answered any questions I had regarding the menu and even gave me recommendations based on what I told her that I liked. I order breakfast tacos and my husband got a eggs with biscuits and gravy. The portion sizes were plenty! The food had great flavor. I wish more places in Bakersfield had customer service like this. Even the guys cleaning up the tables offered me to go water cups. It truly is the little things that matter. I wish toasted all the success!!

While the wait can be long, it was well worth it. Toasted is a nice local hole in the wall with plenty of options. The kids meal quality was just as good as entrees. I highly recommend the tri tip cheesy melt sandwich!

Ordered it less than 10 minutes ago . Good music and vibes . Seated us in about 3 minutes of us showing up.

Been to Toasted plenty times in the past when they first opened. I met a colleague here for brunch today and it was a pleasant atmosphere. We checked in at 9:30am and the place was already packed. However, the wait wasn't too long and we got a nice roomy booth. Server approached us in a timely manner to get our drink orders and allowed us time to browse the menu. I opted for the Cali Benedict and a cup of coffee. The good food reminded me once again why I always frequented this SW location in the past. The portions are big and the menu is extensive enough that there's something for everyone to choose from. Good option for brunch or lunch at any day of the week.

We came in and were seated right away. I got the Hot Dang huge meal, my husband the 6 egg on letter. Portions are HUGE! Food was hit and delicious, service was perfect! Sorry no pics, we dove right in and forgot. Presentation was top notch! I wouldn't have normally come to a 3.6 star restaurant but took a chance on local Facebook recommendations. Glad I listened to those! This is a MUST try!!

If you've ever wondered what it feels like to be hugged from the inside by a Southern grandma you never had, Toasted is the place to find out. We started our spiritual journey with an Arnold Palmer that was so perfectly balanced, I suspect a zen master brewed it while meditating on a citrus grove. Sweet, tart, refreshing, I could live on this stuff. Then came the chicken fried steak. Wow. I'm not saying I cried, but I wanted to lift the plate to the heavens with the opening theme song of Halo playing loudly (think monk chants if you aren't familiar). The gravy? Silky, savory, and generously poured, like it had something to prove. The batter was light and crispy, my mouth celebrated every gravy drenched bite. The hash browns were golden and crispy like they'd been kissed by the sun, and my two over-easy eggs were absolutely perfect, firm whites with runny yolks making a mad dash across my plate. Meanwhile, my friend ordered the chorizo chilaquiles, and from the way they were moaning across the table, I briefly considered calling HR. Or was that him? Who knows...Spicy, crunchy, balanced; basically a flavor mosh pit in the best way. The vibe is chill, the service is friendly, and the food? Divine. I left full, happy, and considering legally changing my last name to "Gravy." Come here for the food, but stay for the...well...food. Yeah, it was THAT good.

The food was exceptionally tasty and delicious. The service was fantastic. The atmosphere is wonderful. Francisco, our server was a professional cheerful server. I am going to Toasted again.

She comes from LA so we meet halfway. She is so nice and so friendly. She really won my heart! This is the second time we meet in Bakersfield. I had this place saved for a while now so I was excited for the visit there. We got there and they sat us almost right away. They have a cute lobby before the entrance to the restaurant. There is an old telephone booth and Christmas decorations. Johnny brought us the menu and it was the lunch menu. I saw on line that they had some great food for breakfast and Te-see asked him about it. He told us they were still making breakfast so I got happy. I ordered a coffee with cream and he brought it in a little tray with the creamer on the side. The table was a little wobbly and the coffee spilled all over the tray. Luckily Te-see got that fixed with a sugar packet. Jonny brought me another tray with coffee and cream. Almost everything was plant base, some egg and chicken but definitely no red meat. Unless I didn't see it. So I ordered the chilaquiles rojos and my daughter the Happy-go-Lucky-bowl. Te-see got the torta española and slew got a pancake to shared. All the food came very fancy well presented. Almost like magazine perfect. I loved them. We were taking videos and pictures as we should like a truly Yelpers that we are. Haha! The food was so tasty and flavorful. I loved my chilaquiles. They were perfect for my palate. They were crunchy and still with the flavor of the sauce. So delicious. They came with a little bowl of beans from the olla. (Freshly cooked) Te-see mention that her torta española was great as well. It came with some green salad. And it did really look so good. My daughter got the Happy-go-lucky-bowl. I was surprised she liked it. It was so beautiful presented. Sorry I already mention that. But yes it was pretty. There was berries melon, pineapple. She said it was really good and filling. She couldn't finish it. The pancake we order to share was so healthy made with all the good grains like chia, hemp seed, brown rice, oat flour. So good. It had some bananas and berries on top. Really delicious. I want to go back again just writing about it. I may go back and order different things from the menu. The bathrooms are very clean. Also maybe restaurant is part of the hotel

The chilaquiles with any choice of meat is incredibly flavorful and one of my favorites on the menu. I also appreciate their extensive drinks menu as you can choose anything from a michelada to a latte. At this specific downtown location, the service is always great. They serve pozole on Fridays and Saturdays and menudo on Sundays. The pozole was full of flavor and honestly one of the highlights of our visit. Thank goodness we finally found a place that satisfies us both! I ordered the Country Benedict and he ordered the Brunchiladas--both dishes were delicious and came in generous portions. We also tried the Abuelita Latte and the Mazapán Latte. Both were very good, just on the sweeter side, so if you're not into sweet coffee definitely ask for half sweet. Our server was attentive and informative. She took great care of us and even made conversation, which added to the overall experience. Overall, such a good visit. We'll definitely be back!

We waited about 20 mins as it was quite full inside and we arrived during a Saturday morning (on Valentine's Day). All sorts of guests visit, families, couples, seniors etc. I overheard the regulars say there's excellent mimosas here, I didn't try them but they looked good. Each patron had something positive to say and had a fun little story about their visit to Scrambled. As for my meal, my Mom and I both got cafe de olla which is essentially a Mexican blend of coffee with a hint of cinnamon. Fantastic! Next, I knew this place was known for its Mexican breakfast AND scrambles, so I decided to try the best of both worlds. I ordered a chile verde scramble. The flavor was really good, everything felt homemade. The meat could've been slightly more juicy, but everything worked so well I didn't mind it. The ambiance was moderately noisy, yet relaxed. I got an authentic cafe vibe here as my Mom and I were able to hold a conversation without having to raise our voices. My Mom said she got an authentic Mexican cafe vibe, I can see it! Everyone was super sweet and professional, I felt right at home.
