Service was excellent, everyone there is super nice and well mannered. The pastries were amazing. We will be back.

A nice little spot with fresh baked goods that are amazing! The menu and selections are quite large and most items are on display for you to see and choose! The worker at the front was very nice and helpful. She was able to box our order fast and explain what several items were! My favorite by far were the mochi donuts and the strawberry and cream croissant! If you're looking for a sweet treat this i definitely a must try!

Bread and Honey has been around for awhile, and a few years ago when I was pregnant I was a regular. Like weekly, sometimes 2x a week! Now my daughter is almost 2 and it is a long drive, so we really havent been going that much. Recently I stopped in during a work break and was able to purchase a bunch of pastries. I noticed quite a bit of the space had changed. The entry doors are opposite and there seems to be more seating. The pastry cases moved slightly. I was helped by someone super patient because it was difficult getting answers from my coworkers on what they want quickly. He was very chill. It was close to closing so I was glad for that kindness. The pastries look mostly the same, changed maybe style a little bit and a few more in variety. He mentioned that the business had been bought out by new people. I was happy to see they tweaked it just enough to put their twist on it without taking away all the things I love about this place. I really enjoyed my blueberry cream cheese danish. Cant wait to come back and check it out again soon.

The Breakfast burrito! The tortillas are delicious and the chorizo is wonderful. Flat whites were delicious. Donuts yummy. Service was slow, there was only one waitress and one cook, so it was understandable, just be aware when you go to dine in. Oh also they've upped their prices see menu pics

Wanted some good coffee and dessert on a Saturday afternoon so we decided to stop by here since we haven't been here and reviews seemed pretty decent. As soon as you come in, you are welcomed by displays of different desserts and donuts. They also have a coffee menu posted with some seasonal drinks. We ordered a couple of desserts since we thought they go well with coffee. Our coffees, unfortunately, were such a letdown. There was not enough caffeine and our drinks tasted a bit bland. Too bad, it would have been a nice little go-to spot.

We were looking for something new and Bread & Honey came across my Yelp app. The lunch menu showed sandwiches. This worked perfectly before running some afternoon errands. The place was easy to find. There was plenty of parking. They have some outside tables, but we ate inside. The turkey and avocado sandwich sounded good. We ordered it with fries. Our server was efficient. They split the plate for us. This is a good-sized sandwich, and the perfect filled us up. The soda fountain lemonade was delicious. These were some of the tastiest fries I've had in some time. Crunchy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. The place was spotless and well kept. There a dessert counter that is irresistible. We'll have to return. And it looks like they have a great breakfast menu too. This is a good place to stop if you want to try something delicious!

Had one of my friends stop and pick up something sweet so we can have after dinner. She picked up 3 cheesecakes and 1 churro cheesecake. All of the desserts were dry and not good. Almost like they had been sitting for days. Definitely won't be going back.

So my first thoughts of this place when I walked in was "What a disaster!" All the tables were dirty and the staff just seem unorganized. Disclaimer I gave this place a 3-star because of the cleanliness and disorganization. The food is what saved this place from a totally horrible review. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito and it was delicious and so was my glass of orange juice. Now if you get the breakfast burrito you must get a side of gravy with it! You can thank me later! My burrito was on some next level type sh!t lol. My advice to the owner a little bit of focus on the over all cleanliness of the place and it will go a long way. Nobody wants to sit and order food while they stare at a dusty napkin holder.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Please stay far, far away from this place. Horrible customer service. Horrible. I placed an order for a cake, showed them exact pictures, texted them the pictures, they knew exactly what I asked of. Come to pick up the cake, it looks NOTHING like I asked. I MEAN NOTHING. I attached photos. I was in shock with the cake and I am not a confrontational person. I grabbed the cake, walked to the car, took a breather and called them on the phone. This was a matter of 3 minutes. Once I called, they weren't willing to help with ANYTHING. Saying things like we did what you asked of, you took it.. it's on you now.. mind you, I was still outside the business. I told them, you can have the cake back.. that's fine.. I just want a refund.. they were so rude in the way they talked, refused to do a refund.. so I was willing to do anything to just get the cake I asked for.. I told them, I'll keep the cake.. can u at least JUST do the piping.. that's it.. Just the piping.. their exact words: "it costs us money and resources to do that.." AS IF it didnt cost ME money and resources to purchase the cake that looks NOTHING like I asked for. Only reason I gave them a one star was because I had to put a star down. Please avoid. They don't provide what you ask for and are not willing to fix the mistakes they make. I didnt even care for a refund.. I simply wanted them to fix the piping because it looked NOTHING like I asked for.

You know, I would keep the five star on here for the actual pastries but every time I've come in here, I have dealt with customer service issues. One time I went in and somebody was rude this time coming in and they are shortstaffed. Today I wanted to make multiple purchases for lots of pastries because it's my boyfriend's birthday. I had waited so long in line that I just wanted one cheesecake slice. I no longer had the time to ask what things were and I no longer had the time to wait to even pick anything else out. If there had been someone else working, I would've purchased quite a bit. I guess helps my diet. But it doesn't help the business not making sales. I won't stop coming here and enjoying pastries, but just hopefully I will go to this location with a half an hour to spare.

Arrived with my three daughters shortly before it became extremely busy for brunch on a Saturday. They seemed short staffed for restaurant, bakery, and coffee orders. However, the staff remained focused and friendly. I ordered the Slammer sandwich and an iced Dark Chocolate Mocha latte. Both were fabulous. The children's menu offered large portions and the price is similar to adult entrees.

I find it interesting that Bakersfield had these cafes that are full service restaurants. Works for me cause I was hunger for a complete meal anyhow. Rolled in on a Monday afternoon, place was empty, but the crowd rolled in primarily at 4pm! I sat outside which could use some ceiling fans, but was nice. Server came out and super friendly. I gone fish tacos which were delish! The perfect garnish combo and good size serving. I opted out of the beans and rice and copped me some tater tots. My iced lavender latte was more pretty than it was tasty, but still enjoyed. Perfect lunch for mua. They clearly specialize in baked goods as well. I'm not a sweets person, but a few folks came in to purchase sweets for takeaway. Large shared parking lot, nice outdoor patio in front of store. Outlets inside. Good for doing a little work.

Pistachio macaron that tastes like pure perfume

I have come here since they opened and it was always good. Went tonight for the first time in quite a while and I am DISGUSTED to say the least. First, the cashier couldn't tell me which items contained peanuts or not for my husbands allergy so we stuck with what we knew which is whatever. Most importantly regarding the baked items, I have NEVER in my life tasted cheesecake that tasted like PURE OLD STALE WAX! This was not cheesecake consistency & the flavor didn't even resemble a dessert. I legitimately am contemplating whether she gave me a display chzcake or not. I couldn't even finish chewing it. I have never had a cheesecake that tasted and textured like this. The macaron tastes like someone poured pistachio perfume in it. And the brownie is so gritty it's almost like eating sand. I am utterly disgusted after spending 65$ DOLLARS on dessert that this is what we get. We got 2 str, 2 ras, 2 blueb danishes, 1 strw crosssint, about 8 donuts, a brownie, cheesecake, macaron and a few other things. I cannot believe they advertise quality and this is what we got. I am shocked & probably will Not go back. Wish I could get a refund.

She comes from LA so we meet halfway. She is so nice and so friendly. She really won my heart! This is the second time we meet in Bakersfield. I had this place saved for a while now so I was excited for the visit there. We got there and they sat us almost right away. They have a cute lobby before the entrance to the restaurant. There is an old telephone booth and Christmas decorations. Johnny brought us the menu and it was the lunch menu. I saw on line that they had some great food for breakfast and Te-see asked him about it. He told us they were still making breakfast so I got happy. I ordered a coffee with cream and he brought it in a little tray with the creamer on the side. The table was a little wobbly and the coffee spilled all over the tray. Luckily Te-see got that fixed with a sugar packet. Jonny brought me another tray with coffee and cream. Almost everything was plant base, some egg and chicken but definitely no red meat. Unless I didn't see it. So I ordered the chilaquiles rojos and my daughter the Happy-go-Lucky-bowl. Te-see got the torta española and slew got a pancake to shared. All the food came very fancy well presented. Almost like magazine perfect. I loved them. We were taking videos and pictures as we should like a truly Yelpers that we are. Haha! The food was so tasty and flavorful. I loved my chilaquiles. They were perfect for my palate. They were crunchy and still with the flavor of the sauce. So delicious. They came with a little bowl of beans from the olla. (Freshly cooked) Te-see mention that her torta española was great as well. It came with some green salad. And it did really look so good. My daughter got the Happy-go-lucky-bowl. I was surprised she liked it. It was so beautiful presented. Sorry I already mention that. But yes it was pretty. There was berries melon, pineapple. She said it was really good and filling. She couldn't finish it. The pancake we order to share was so healthy made with all the good grains like chia, hemp seed, brown rice, oat flour. So good. It had some bananas and berries on top. Really delicious. I want to go back again just writing about it. I may go back and order different things from the menu. The bathrooms are very clean. Also maybe restaurant is part of the hotel

The menu was a decent size--one side for breakfast and the back for lunch. I didn't look at the lunch side, but the breakfast options were great: plenty to choose from without feeling overwhelming. They serve pozole on Fridays and Saturdays and menudo on Sundays. The pozole was full of flavor and honestly one of the highlights of our visit. Thank goodness we finally found a place that satisfies us both! I ordered the Country Benedict and he ordered the Brunchiladas--both dishes were delicious and came in generous portions. We also tried the Abuelita Latte and the Mazapán Latte. Both were very good, just on the sweeter side, so if you're not into sweet coffee definitely ask for half sweet. Our server was attentive and informative. She took great care of us and even made conversation, which added to the overall experience. Overall, such a good visit. We'll definitely be back!

Each patron had something positive to say and had a fun little story about their visit to Scrambled. As for my meal, my Mom and I both got cafe de olla which is essentially a Mexican blend of coffee with a hint of cinnamon. Fantastic! Next, I knew this place was known for its Mexican breakfast AND scrambles, so I decided to try the best of both worlds. I ordered a chile verde scramble. The flavor was really good, everything felt homemade. The meat could've been slightly more juicy, but everything worked so well I didn't mind it. The ambiance was moderately noisy, yet relaxed. I got an authentic cafe vibe here as my Mom and I were able to hold a conversation without having to raise our voices. My Mom said she got an authentic Mexican cafe vibe, I can see it! Everyone was super sweet and professional, I felt right at home.
