Magnolia Kitchen staff was the nicest and friendliest! The cronut was amazing! I do want to mention that we went over for the cookies my wife saw all over social media but they were out and I also asked for the hotdogs and they were also out of them, it wasnt off to a great start. I ended up with a patty melt per the cashier recommendation but it was honestly very bland. However the other 2 people in my party got hamburgers which where amazing they said! When we got our food we were missing a child drink and we asked for fruit as a side but we got fried but when she went up and asked the staff was very nice to my little niece and brought her her lemonaid and a bowl of blueberries. I'd without hesitation go back for the cronut and try a burger.

My friends and I headed to Magnolia's Kitchen to celebrate life! Upon arrival the place was super cute, clean, friendly staff; and all-around good vibes. The menu may be small, but it's MIGHTY! Of course, the Magnolia cookies are a must! I grabbed the S'mores Chocolate Cookie; it was everything I imagined and much, much more! I also had the Cubano sandwich with a side of the crispiest fries. Everything was delicious! My friends ordered the Magnolia Burger and raved about how tasty the burger was! I almost forgot to mention I also ordered the Lia's Lemonade (strawberry) and ohhhh, eeeeee! It was SOOOOO good! SOOOO sweet, and SOOOO refreshing, and served in the giant container SOOO GOOOD!!!!

My kids and I settled on trying out this new place that established after Moo Creamery was moved. We walked in NO ONE GREETED US, we stood there waiting to be seated NO ONE came. We sought out a table and took our seats, we waited for staff who saw us come in to approach, but again NO ONE did. Making eye contact with staff and waiting to be acknowledged was very upsetting, to the point where we sought out somewhere else to eat. We left here and headed out to COPES KNOTTY PINE on Norris Rd. If you enjoy being ignored I highly recommend this place, safe to say my family and I will not be returning for a second chance. If you're interested in trying out their cookies they have a cute little shop on the corner of Rosedale and Calloway.

After hearing Magnolia Kitchen had taken over the former Moo Creamery location, we were excited to give it a try. The space still has the same bright, welcoming setup as its predecessor. The ordering process has changed, though. You now order at the counter and are called back up when your food is ready. The staff were genuinely warm and friendly throughout our visit, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the service itself was incredibly slow and felt very disjointed. The restaurant didn't appear particularly busy, yet orders seemed to come out at random, and we repeatedly had to remind employees about items we were still waiting on. We ordered the patty melt with a side salad, the Cubano with fries, a Ferrero Rocher latte, and a strawberry lemonade. Growing up near Ybor City in Florida, I'm pretty well versed in Cuban sandwiches, so I know authentic Cuban bread is nearly impossible to find outside the state. I wasn't expecting that. But, I also wasn't expecting a sandwich absolutely drenched in butter before being pressed. The result was an incredibly greasy, overly salty sandwich that was also slathered with far too much mustard. The bread was so saturated that I couldn't enjoy it. Disappointedly, I ended up pulling out the pork, ham, and pickles with a fork and eating those on their own. The fries were another disappointment. Instead of being crisp, they were soggy, and the ketchup station didn't inspire much confidence. The bottles sitting out for customers were nearly empty. As for the ketchup, it had turned such a dark color that it looked old, making me question its freshness. The patty melt was much better. It had nicely caramelized onions, a juicy burger, and plenty of flavor. My only disappointment was that the menu advertises it on traditional marbled rye bread, but ours was served on sliced sourdough instead. It was still enjoyable, but it wasn't what was described on the menu. Maybe they ran out of rye bread and just didn't tell us and assumed it would be okay? The Ferrero Rocher latte also missed the mark for me. It tasted more like a hazelnut chocolate milk than a latte, with very little coffee flavor coming through. The biggest surprise of the meal was the strawberry lemonade. It was fantastic, made with freshly squeezed lemons and real strawberries, giving it a bright, fresh flavor that really stood out. Ironically, it was also the hardest item to receive. Despite ordering it with everything else, we had to remind the staff multiple times before it finally arrived about 30 minutes later. I really wanted to love Magnolia Kitchen because there are glimpses of what it could become. The friendly staff, excellent strawberry lemonade, and flavorful patty melt show promise. However, the painfully slow and disorganized service, menu substitutions without notice, soggy fries, and disappointing Cubano made this visit fall short. I hope they find their rhythm because the restaurant has potential, but there's still plenty to work on.

Friendly service I came for the cinnamon roll yummy not too sweet. They have a mango and sticky rice. The mango was purée and the rice was sticky trying to drink from the straw was tough and not to my liking. I will come buck to try more items later. It's in the same location as Moo creamy was before

They moved to a new location on truxton ave and the place is super clean, organized, and has a very cute retro diner decor. Hopefully the owners read this but please consider playing some 50s/60s into the playlist it will match the restaurant so well Staff was helpful and some needed a little more customer service training to uplift customers when ordering and not feel like we are bothering them when ordering. We know it probably wasn't meant like that but it seemed that way or someone else can take it that way. The owners of this establishment are very amazing and can take criticism which we love because that helps a business so much. The food is amazing chefs kiss we are excited to try more from the menu and the cookies are one of the best in town!!! They were sweet for giving one free since it wasn't fresh but that cookie tasted amazing and you can tell it's made from quality ingredients!! The only thing we didn't like was the lattes if u need a quick wake me up these would do but it's a personal preference for us that we aren't really a fan of torani syrup and felt like it lacked it a little flavor. Overall this establishment is very good and we recommend to check them out and give them try. Thank you for having us Magnolia kitchen

Chicken and fries were burnt. Tasted like old grease. And expensive! Don't know if I'd order from here again.

Magnolia's Kitchen is such a gem! Family-owned. The storefront is adorable, and everything inside smells like pure happiness. I tried a few cookies -- and honestly, some of the best I've ever had (and I'm very picky about cookies). Perfectly chewy, rich, and just the right balance of sweet. I also had an iced banana coffee, which sounded adventurous but turned out decadent, creamy, and still packed a solid caffeine kick. Service was fast and friendly. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Bakersfield -- this place is an absolute treat!

    Banana drizzle

This was a cute little place in the world parking lot where there is a bunch of food trucks. Just wanted something nice and cool to drink. I took the banana drizzle which was really nice to have a little water fuel to it, but it still was nice and a really hot day refreshing just be on the lookout. They don't have any splendid so I had to bring my own, but you know that's a different story for a different day and a large selection of various different trains and coffees as well as some Mexican drinks to come back to or as you're driving through Rosedale.

Quick photo of the peach stuffed cinnamon roll after taking a first bite in my car

This place looks so good on Instagram and I finally got a chance to go and grab not one but three cinnamon rolls. It turned out that on the day I went to visit they were having a special where you could buy two for $6 or something like that. So greedy me ordered a standard cinnamon roll, an apple stuffed and a peach stuffed cinnamon roll. I happen to go on one of the hottest days in the week recently... And I went in the middle of the day... So naturally it was too hot to enjoy the cinnamon roll at the shop. The shop is quite cute, it's like a little house in a lot where there are other food stands on the corner of Rosedale and Coffee Road. The service was good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. So I grabbed my cinnamon rolls and decided to have a bite in my car. I tried the peach stuffed cinnamon roll first because I love peaches! The cinnamon roll texture was airy and fluffy. However, I felt it lacked a little bit of sweetness, it tasted more like bread, dough or biscuit dough that you pop open from a can. To my surprise, there was not very much peach stuffing so I was a little disappointed. The frosting was not my favorite either. While it was sweet, it also had a very tangy sour aftertaste. I'd rather have a cinnamon roll with Royal icing that is just poured over the top to set. I did not try the other two because other members of my household got to those before I could. However, they like them. I probably will go back to try some of their other products, their cookies looked amazing and they have all kinds of beverages that would probably hit the spot on a hot day. It's definitely something that's cute and fun and I would probably go back when I have people visiting me from out of town. Enjoy!
