After driving by one day, made a note for a closeby coffee shop. Beanies is such a cute shop. If you're driving up, go past the outdoor dining space for the restaurant and the door foe the coffee shop is opposite the restaurant. I di ask the barista if they had any specials or any drinks they were really known for and got some funny looks. But ended up with a delightful honey lavender latte, which was delicious. I would recommend a good cup of coffee at Beanies!

Coffee is alright, options are basic, in a town where new coffee shops are popping up every other month, this place needs to step their game up. The main issue: customer service is horrible here. The baristas need to work on their attitude because why do they act annoyed when their 3rd customer of the day 4 hours into opening comes in. If you do not believe me or want to ignore me, just check this local TikTok comment section where people say the same exact thing. I also say all of this as someone who works as a barista as well, at a very busy drink shop for 40+ hours a week to make a living. Beanies employees, none of you understand or have the valid reason you think you do to have the ugly customer service you give to your customers. You're only open limited hours, and if you dont like the job, dont do it.

Im not sure about this place just yet. I've been a few times and it's a hit and miss. Sometimes the coffee is made absolutely great, while other times, it's very acidic and bleh. The location is great, service is fast, and the shop is clean and inviting. I'll definitely try again.

I came here to catch up with a friend, and it was the coziest and cutest litte spot! I will say it was a little hard to see at first, as it's tucked away in the corner but not impossible to find. I was greeted as soon as I entered and wasn't rushed to order. Everyone was so nice, the drink I got was delicious. They also have a rewards system that's easy to use. I'd definitely come back!

My friends and I are serious coffee enthusiasts, so when we planned a little meetup trip, we knew we had to check out Beanie's Coffee Roasters--and it did not disappoint. The coffee was absolutely delicious, perfectly brewed and full of flavor. But honestly, the pastries might have stolen the show. I had the ham and cheese pastry, and it was so tasty I genuinely wished it was bigger--I could've easily indulged in another one (or two). Everything was fresh and clearly made with care. The baristas were super friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance inside was just what we needed--calm, cozy, and relaxing. A great place to catch up, sip slowly, and enjoy the vibe. Definitely adding this to my go-to list. I'd make this my pit stop again without hesitation.

My constant search for coffee led me here. It is a charming little place tucked in the corner of truxtun and oak. This corner has had its ups and downs through time. The place has decent decor, you can tell the owner invested in the place, with nice lighting, a pretty bar, and a big orange coffee roaster in the back. The barista was friendly, gave me solid recommendations. I went for an oat milk latte with white chocolate syrup. They chose a mild, delicious bean for this coffee. Everything was made well. Only gripe is I decided to drink it there, and I was served a paper cup. My one rule for coffee shop is I don't go back unless I was served in a ceramic cup with coffee art. Cafes don't sell coffee, they sell the customer experience. That is why it is worth $6 a cup plus tip.

Gotta update my review! I come here about once a week now. I think the coffee is best in town. Smooth delicious lattes and flat whites. Their seasonal drinks also are great and sweet but not too sweet. Service is fine, nothing amazing but not bad or anything. Food is good and they often run out of pastries. The space is smaller but Great space to study or meet up with someone.

Clean and relaxed, cozy but not cramped. Promotes a great environment for focused work, study, or quiet conversation.

A wonderfully competent local Bakersfield roaster. This has become my number one go-to coffee shop for getting things done with its quiet atmosphere and great coffee. Consistent quality in their drip (hard to come by) and great espresso. They also serve the best bagel out of any cafe in town that I've tried yet. I ate it too fast so it is not pictured. Shop local, try out beanies.

Look No Further!!! My choice for great coffee and unique pastries! What really makes it great is Christopher the Barista, and ALL of his co-workers. He's also the Chief Cook and Bottle Washer...just kidding! Even though he was on his break, hangin' with his cool bass-playin' friend Toby, on the patio, he took time to shoot the breeze, with his returning customer...me. My favorite pastry, is their freshly baked brownie, with swirly brown icing. It's too delicious to be split in half and shared with a loved one. You must purchase at least 2 of these to get the full effect of YUMMY! All of their other pastries are great and make perfect little gifts for the hard-workingfolks at the places that you patronize regularly! That's what I did! Of course, their freshly made coffee drinks are made from ground beans, and all taste perfect! They are best enjoyed inside, while you study, read for enjoyment, or have a relaxing business meeting.

Oh my goodness I found my new hidden gem. Ticked away on the corner of Oak and Truxtun between the buildings walk to the end and voila there's the cafe. The walkway is a shared outdoor patio area. I was greeted upon entry. The menu didn't look overwhelming The place is cozy and spacious at the same time. They have an amazing coffee machine display towards the back of the cafe I found this place as I was searching for pure matcha and that's exactly what I found here I ordered a strawberry matcha which I must say will be on a limited basis as it's an automatic extra $1.50 Upcharges there is a .75 for nondairy and another .75 for a large My tea was $10!!! Yikes but holy cow watching her sift the matcha and stir it to avoid clumping was awesome I highly recommend you check it out if you want to get away from all the commercial places and over sugary drinks

Cool spot, friendly service, fresh and clean ambiance, and delicious coffee! First time in this place but not the last. Good coffee will always be remembered.

First timer! Visiting the area and stopped by. Lots of parking. Very friendly staff. Quick service. Great indoor seating (spacious, quiet, and peaceful) and outdoor seating (covered and spacious). Really tasty drinks. We tried the strawberry matcha latte and a hot vanilla latte. Will definitely stop by again!

Espresso roasted beans with a roasted date, that's how you know it's fresh!

I had high hopes for this place or maybe I just ordered the wrong thing…read more This place is downtown Bakersfield so parking can be challenging during peak hours. Coffee shop is small and furniture looks very used, aesthetically not very appealing but I'm here for coffee, right? Several signature drink options and quite a few sugar-free options as well. I was undecided between the lavender latte and the Mexican mocha. Barista told me the Mexican mocha was her favorite, so I went with that. The coffee was extremely hot but honestly, nothing spectacular. It's was extremely basic and know I can make this at home. They used a powder mix but nothing to make it their own, just right out of can..so disappointing. They did have several baked good options. I probably wouldn't come back here. No restrooms are available for customers.

Tried Blue Oaks Coffee in Bakersfield today and it was a bit of a mixed bag…read more My vanilla latte was spot on -- smooth, well balanced, and exactly what I wanted. My wife's cold brew, though... was rough. Like really rough. Hard to finish. Food was also hit or miss. The blueberry empanada was absolute perfection -- a delicious, non-sweet pastry with a bright blueberry filling that worked beautifully together. Easily the highlight. On the other hand, the butter English scone thingy was honestly inedible. Overall: some real standouts and some big misses. A mixed experience, but that blueberry empanada alone almost makes it worth another try.
