I hate to leave 1-star reviews, but this place was really bad. They were out of decaf coffee and espresso at 8:45 am. My daughter ordered green tea. They were out of that. We ended up ordering a white tea, 1 muffin and 1 breakfast burrito. We waited 35 minutes, endured rude responses when we asked where our small order was, and finally got the burrito. Took another 10 minutes and two requests to get the tea and the muffin. Apparently, this place is always like this. There are many coffee places in Three Rivers. Go to one of those. read more

Been here a few times when visiting sequoias and three rivers. It's out preference of the coffee options here. Super friendly very cozy. Love the art and live music and mural. What a wonderful gem in the town of Three Rivers, California! We were staying in Three Rivers, which is the nearest town to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park, so as you can expect, there isn't much around such a rural, open space. But near our hotel was Kaweah Coffee Roasters, which was the best way to start our days while in the area. We saw the sign for Kaweah Coffee Roasters when we were driving down the main General Highway drag towards another coffee shop, but decided to turn around and give this place a chance. So glad we did because it ended up being one of our favorite places in the area where we visited every day we were in town. Kaweah Coffee Roasters serves damn good coffee and housemade pastries with the friendliest staff who ended up remembering us the weekend we were there. They hand-press the espresso shots, so don't expect quick service. Instead, it's a craft coffee shop where the staff take pride in what they do and make here. Respect that. My go-to was an iced dirty chai, which was solid. And we'd share a breakfast burrito and pastry. The cheesecake was by far the best item I ate here, so if you see it, order it! But the scones were quite delicious, especially the blackberry one, with tons of blackberry inside. In addition to items to consume, they sell local gifts, including handmade jewelry and artwork, coffee beans, books about coffee and mugs. The space isn't the largest, but it's inviting with friendly staff who will end up remembering you after your first visit. Plus, it's dog friendly and the owner owns a pug! Bonus points. AVOID this coffee shop at all costs!!!! One would assume this is a great place to grab coffee before a hike but boy was I wrong! I stopped by on Memorial Day weekend for a coffee before catching the sunset with my family, the parking lot seemed rather empty so I thought we would be in and out within 10 mins tops. We get greeted by a man with a cowboy hat and the other guy (I'm assuming owner) ignored us and kept his conversation with another worker going. Not once were we told they were closed they just took our orders and our money and proceeded to talk for about 2 mins , I order an Americano ,a dirty chai and a Toffee drink with oat milk. The owner then proceeds to make comments and making it known that he is bothered by us showing up after they "closed" mind you not once were we told they had closed. The guy in the cowboy hat was nice but had no idea what he was doing. And the owner was just chatting on the side, so 35 minutes and an incorrect order later we left and missed watching the sun set. Place was pretty cool looking inside even had a small stage for a guitarist. Service was good enough but the poor girl was struggling to keep up. What made things worse was their manual espresso machine. My Americano was weak and not much flavor. But the worst thing about this place was the disgusting bathroom. It was 9am and looked liked it wasn't cleaned from the night before. The toilet was very gross, looked liked a gas station bathroom in a shady town. Would not come back. Kaweah Coffee Roasters is in the city of Three Rivers and is 10 mins away from the Sequoia National Park entrance. We got some coffee for our drive back to SoCal. We got to specialty drinks: Matisse (lavender) and Milk and Honey. The coffee was good but we didn't really taste the lavender or honey in our latte. But it was good for our 4 hr drive. This spot was a great find, especially since it was the only coffee shop open at the time in Three Rivers. We were grateful to have it as an option, but the wait was tough--took about 45 minutes to an hour just to get three coffees and a bagel with cream cheese. This place used to be our absolute favorite coffee/breakfast stop when visiting Three Rivers & Sequoia. The staff were great, the vibes were great, and they had these soyrizo breakfast tacos... We looked forward to coming here almost as much as seeing the sequoias. But something has changed. The staff is almost rude and doesn't seem to care about anything. They forgot to make my order and we had to go up and ask why people that came in after us were getting their orders before us then they finally located it and made it without apology after taking the cup in the.back probably to spit in it. Stopped for a quick coffee break. Waited a while to order food and an Americano--first I was told they were out of eggs, then told the kitchen was closed because they had too many orders. So I stayed with only 1 drink. I saw my order wasn't anywhere near being ready, so I asked how long it might take. She turned to her coworker, and the response was: "I'm against Americano in general..." I mean, what?? I kept waiting, but my family was frustrated in the car, so I asked if I could cancel my order. She said yes and basically sent me away. When I asked for a receipt, I got the worst attitude--she was extremely rude. I understand they were busy, but that's no reason to talk to people like that. I honestly really dislike giving 1 star to a place but they can work on their wait time. We placed an order around 8:30am for White Rose Latte, a breakfast burrito, and turkey pesto sliders. I got our coffee 30 minutes later and it was fine. But what made this place a 1 star is the wait time for food. I am unsure how the work flow is back in the kitchen, but I noticed some people getting food before us and we still haven't gotten our food around 09:30am, which delayed our plan for hiking. After a long hike at Sequoia NP, we were in desperate need of some refreshing drinks! This shop is conveniently located on the route back to the city, so it was an easy, quick stop. The cashier (also shop owner?) was super friendly and easy to talk to. We thought it was interesting that they use the flair espresso machine since we've never seen a coffee shop use it in place of a standard espresso machine. They also sell it in their shop! We got the cold brew and their iced milk + honey latte. We enjoyed our drinks, but I would've preferred for the honey to be more mixed in so I don't get huge sips of straight honey. I think the espresso flavor could've been stronger too, but I think that's because I'm just used to drinks that have less milk in their lattes. Overall, it's a great, spacious shop that gave us the boost we needed on a hot day. They also have a shop pug called Bean who was so cute. :) read more

Great litter shop on the way into the park. Ample parking, charming decor. Community spot for sure, designed for lingering. Good coffee, not great. Can't speak to the espresso drinks but all are hand pressed slowly and carefully, so you need to be prepared to wait. Food is made to order, so again, be prepared to wait. There's plenty to occupy your time... Strong free wireless, games, art, books, foliage, clean seating and restroom, knowledge and friendly staff. I enjoyed the time I spent. I ordered a coffee, cinnamon roll, chai latte, and a breakfast burrito. The coffee and the cinnamon roll were available immediately but the chai didn't show up for for 25 minutes and the burrito didn't show up until 30 minutes later. The food and drinks were nothing outrageous. We didn't wait because any of the things were hard or special. We waited because of the methodical way the staff presses espresso, and how they only make things in order that they were placed by patrons. So the chai and burrito were behind a long line of espresso drinks, all being had pressed one at a time. The staff were unapologetically committed to the process and I respect them for that. They are true to their craft. If you are in a hurry, skip this place. But if you have time to spend chatting with the barista about your upcoming trip to see the area, stop on in. read more

A few things: 1. The wait times are crazy. Someone needs to be working just the manual presses that are used to make espresso. (Manual Presses?!?!) Asking people to wait 20 mins for a blend espresso coffee is quite a wait. And yes. It was 20 mins for some ppl because that's how long I was in line. And I left and some people still didn't have their coffee. 2. Know when your competition is closed. For some odd reason the other coffee shop in town, Sequoia, is closed on Tuesday. In September. When people are still coming in droves to SNP. So know you'll be slammed and staff up or close. Is this a business or a hobby? If it's a business it's probably not a great way to run it. 3. Please don't ask customers who just want a drip coffee- which you can hand to them as you ring them up- to wait behind everyone who's waiting for their 20 min fancy coffee. That's asinine. And that is what happened to me today. And I left without coffee. Because I'm not waiting 45 mins for a drip coffee. I was already stupid and wasted 20 mins. So people-this is what's happening here. Know the wait times before you show up. And I left today for gas station coffee because all I wanted was a drip coffee. And actually it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. So I guess that's what I'm doing tomorrow because waiting for 34 mins for a drip coffee is nuts. read more

There is a lot to improve. First of if you have a line of 10 people and 15 other people are waiting for their orders stop taking orders and help out the girl who is hand pressing each coffee and running back and forth between sink to refill the pot and her station instead chilling and laughing and keep entertaining. Team work is not something they can be proud of. We waited more than 40 min for 2 hot americano! It is absolutely insane. Don't take orders or give a heads-up that waiting time is 40 min. read more

We were sadly disappointed by this place. We chose Kaweah over the other coffee shop in the area because we wanted to see the Pug (we did not :/) and the food menu seemed simple enough that it'd be quick. Unfortunately that was not the case. It took us about an hour to get 2 burritos and 2 sandwiches. My boyfriend had a coffee which he finished by the time the food was out. I wanted a drink but they were all out of their Italian sodas at the time we went. The burritos were fine definitely don't get the soyrizo it was so bland and I was so sad because I absolutely live soyrizo when I make it at home. The sandwiches were fine as well, but definitely not an hour wait. The shop was small but there's plenty of indoor and a few tables outdoor. The parking lot was large so that shouldn't be a hassle.
