This place has been my mom and I's go to recently! Our favorites are the abuelita latte and the blueberry matcha. Prices are great for the size. The matcha is definitely on the sweeter side but like I said for the price, you can't go wrong! For two medium matchas I paid around $13. Other places are half the size for twice the cost. I'd definitely recommend you stop by and try them! Service is nice and friendly as well.

Always pass this coffee place on my way home from work and decided to try out the spot as I seen it featured on a few tik tok videos. Ordered the Strawberry Matcha and loved it! My only note would be that the strawberry flavor is very subtle but overall a very delicious Matcha! Can't wait to try out more menu items!

Fire burritos rolls and drinks. I love this place. Also love the two windows to go through.

Bland. How upsetting. Just left and got the dragonfruit refresher & strawberry horchata matcha both taste like nothing

Everything could be better. Pura vida used to be so good and my go to. Not anymore , these last few trips have been so disappointing , the owner I believe used to make the drinks so good idk I was some guy with glasses. There's only one girl working the drive through -0/10!

It's a really cute drive through but they usually take a good while preparing drinks. Their coffee, chai, refreshers, and strawberry horchata matcha lattes are decent, but honestly all their drinks taste super sweet. If you enjoy sweet lattes this is the place for you.

Coffee was good. Lots of coffee options and baked goods available. There was a bit of a wait since there were only 2 baristas and a few cars in line. There have 2 drive thru's available for ordering. They are currently offering fall drinks. So I'm assuming they have seasonal drinks all year long. Thy don't offer dine in options only to go. It's all outdoors and the outside was clean.

Bakersfield is home to (too) many Latino-inspired coffee shops, and sadly, most of them miss the mark. Pura Vida used to be the rare exception... until today. When they first opened, I was obsessed. Cute little drive through coffee shop, & their coffee? Brewed to perfection. Rich, bold, and flavorful--it put every other spot to shame. I raved about this place to anyone who would listen. But after being closed for over a month due to a car crash and some "under construction" chaos, they finally reopened this week. Naturally, I thought: Yay! Sunday treat time! Big mistake. I went in excited to get a churro frappe--nothing too complicated. Yes, I know frappes are basically dessert, not energy boosters. I wasn't expecting a jolt, but I was expecting something that at least tasted like coffee. Instead? I got... cinnamon-flavored water. No coffee taste. No sweetness. Just watered-down milk with a sprinkle of cinnamon powder on top. If this were any of the other meh Latino-themed cafés in town, I'd roll my eyes and move on. But this? This betrayal hits different because I used to worship Pura Vida. Pura Vida, you let me down. Dunkin'--yes, Dunkin'--next door is doing a better job. That says everything. Do better.

First timer. Mazapán frappe. 7/10 the flavor/sweetness is faint but overall still good.

The service was excellent since I was a first time customer. I was probably lucky since there wasn't any wait time .He answered all my questions and was very helpful at that.

First time coming here and the menu looks so yummy I can definitely see myself coming back to try the other drinks. Unfortunately they only had large and XL cups which is okay because the prices aren't too big of a difference. But sometimes I don't need a big ol coffee haha. Customer Service was okay nothing special. Now the actual coffee Is delicious. I can tell it's really quality. I mean, just look at it. Overall, the wait time is good, the coffee is great. Couldn't try the food today but will next time

A great addition to the DT coffee scene that isn't SB! I've been here a few times, and I will say the wait times are hit or miss. Some days they will be super fast, while others I've had to leave just because the line of cars were spewing into the street or just completely in the way. But those small factors aside, the quality of coffee and small bites are amazing. The toasted Spanish latte is hands down my favorite coffee right now. Definitely worth a try if you've got a little time to spare.

    Banana cream matcha

Usually it's a good visit, my mom went alone, English is not her strongest language, she ordered a banana cream matcha, and was given a poorly made drink, no banana cream, doesn't even look correct. She went back and I had to, talk through the phone to ask for the correct drink, which makes me think the baristas scam Spanish speaking customers. Compare the pictures to when an English speaker orders, as opposed to a Spanish speaker orders, smh do better pura vida.

    Toasted Spanish latte .

As I was walking I saw the sign for this place and was happy I did because my other coffee options were a fast food restaurant or the famous coffee chain. It was a bit confusing to locate. It was tucked away in the back of a commercial office space type building. Once inside the place was very clean and organized. Very minimalist design. I was only one of 4 total people inside. My order was taken quickly. I ordered an iced americano with a ham and cheese turnover. Coffee was on point. No notes. No complaints. The pastry however was not good. They asked me if I wanted it heated up. I said I did. I saw her put it in the microwave, and I assumed they turned it on. When I bit into it (I had already left and walked across the street) it was cold. Like cold cold. On top of that it was flavorless which made it worse. Stick to the coffee or make sure you check the temp of the food prior to leaving.

I would recommend a good cup of coffee at Beanies!

Being driven back from the Grand Canyon having spent nearly a week camping with some awesome people from SJSU, we were informed we were staying at a Super 8 motel overnight to take hot showers and sleep on beds (one week of camping will do that). I had search on Google for coffee nearby and saw this "Bikini Bottom Coffee" shop pop up and yes, I was intrigued of a coffee shop with bikini clad baristas. But it was getting late and we had an early departure for San Jose the next day so I bookmarked this place just in case the free coffee and breakfast offering at the motel did not speak to me (it was terrible...). The morning of the departure, I got up early and it was just a 1-minute walk there and they have two(?) drive by lanes for cars to pull up to order. You can also just walk up to order. Aside from the obvious -- baristas in bikinis taking your order, they have an extensive list of coffee drinks and souvenirs you can buy. Given I need my morning cup of coffee, I opted for the House Blend Bue Coffee and their French toast breakfast sandwich. My verdict? The coffee was alright. I have had better coffee, but given my choice of free (gross) coffee at Super 8 vs my bikini coffee, the latter was a much better solid choice. The French toast breakfast sandwich was heavy with sausage, bacon, and eggs if you are a meat lover. Customer service was excellent so I will give them props for being patient with me while deciding what to order. Overall, it's a good coffee pit stop (if Dutch Bros isn't around) with good customer service vibes (and no, it is not what you think lol).

I will never understand why places that have "espresso" in the business name, don't take care to make sure their espresso is at very least drinkable.

Upon entry I was taken aback by the beautiful art that appears hand painted on the wall. It is beautiful! I wanted to get a feel for what Yemeni coffee is and how it differs from other regional coffees and I did not get that. We ordered a coffee and a matcha and I was able to try and enjoy both. I think it's good coffee and matcha I just didn't understand how their product differed from anything else. It's not bad and I would get it again but I didn't get a feel for the region. I remember when I tried Turkish coffee for the first time and the richness of flavor and strength, Salvadoran coffee and its rich aromatics, Palestinian and its rich nutty textures via spice, but here I was left wondering. Yes, this is a pistachio coffee, but what makes it different? I don't know. Yes, this is a pistachio matcha, but what made it different. Don't know. Good sure, but I can't really describe how it is unique. The baklava, certainly, provided this rich information. Compared to other baklavas it was drier and crunchier in a way that was satisfying and light. I would prefer to eat this baklava if I was watching my sugar and calories, which coincidently I currently am. Other baklavas are more decadent and syrup/sugar heavy. I was left with a want for more out of how light and delicious they are. I hope to try their cake offerings soon! Would return to continue trying their menu and would love to see a no straw option for the lid along with a more sustainable cup!
