Quick stop downtown on a Saturday morning. Service was fast and friendly and the place was hopping with People but we got our order quick. It was very simple order though 2 cold brews with cold foams. They were high quality and yummy. We are watching our sugar so we didn't do the suggested golden foam which has sugar. Fun to see so many people sitting outside on the patio enjoying the relatively cool summer morning.
Finally made it into Reverb coffee downtown at Woolworths! We came in on a Friday morning around 10am - the posted hours were to open at 7am but turns out they had a meeting and weren't able to open until after 10, but the employees were keeping their eyes peeled for caffeine freaks itching to get a fix and were super helpful and told everyone sorry they were still opening etc. they were really good about it. We just popped into another awesome spot before we went in for coffee, by the time we were done at that place and made our way back to Reverb they were ready and pippin' out drinks. I got to try the fridge cig and it was a fun experience - especially on a hot day, it lived up to the name. The husband loves the figgy smalls and ordered that. The shop is small but still very open and bright. I already can't wait to go back. The coffee is so good.
It seems like the whole town is running on Reverb coffee. My whole family loves it. From fun business meetings to time with loved ones, I seem to consistently find reasons to end up at Reverb. They prioritize high quality drinks with thoughtfully sourced ingredients. The Reverb team is super tight nit like a group of old friends, and currently primarily consists of the founders and owners. The whole team is welcoming and kind. It's easy to feel a part of the Reverb fam. They're all great at what they do as well. The greenest set of hands on deck still has roughly 15 years experience in coffee and beverages. True students and artisans of their craft. The cold brew with cold foam and honey brown sugar was a recent favorite for the whole fam. The cart gives a hometown retro vibe which goes well in the Woolworth's building. Reverb will also often carry baked goods and treats from other local businesses. They also cater events and do a great job! They were at an event I attended and were a highlight guests mentioned all night long!
I had the pleasure of trying this matcha tonight. I truly enjoyed it. I had wanted to try something and this is what I chose. Very refreshing, so if you havent tried them out yet I recommend that you give it a shot I believe youll enjoy the selection.

I ordered the iced matcha latte and was recommended to add the honey brown sugar syrup since it does not come with any sweeteners. The matcha was a 10/10, not watered down, not too sweet or too bitter! The inside of the location was also really clean! No seating in the reverb area, so it is a stop and go but Woolworth's has seating to the left of the area.

Reverb is totally worth the hype. My first time coming to coffee places i always get the vanilla latte with oat milk. The color of my coffee was perfect and it wasn't overly sweet. The service was quick and I look forward to trying some of their specialty flavors next time! There was a pretty long line and we waited about 20 mins for our coffee but I'd say it was worth the wait. There's standing room and a few tables you can hangout at. If Woolworths diner is open there are more places to sit around. I look forward to my next cup of coffee here.

I love the weekly rotation of donuts, pastries, and bagels. The hot fig latte is really something. There is nothing you can order that won't blow your mind! Everyone is so friendly and helpful, really love the staff and atmosphere.

Staff was kind, attentive, willing to answer questions, and shared the meaning behind the name Reverb. I ordered an iced latte with almond milk and honey brown sugar syrup. I like that they have non dairy alternatives and sugar free syrup options. My coffee was decent maybe I just need to give it a try again because it wasn't very strong. Heard a lot of hype from social media about Reverb Coffee's matcha and so of course I had to try it. Unfortunately, the matcha I got was overpriced, small, grainy, and just really bad in my opinion... I'm really confused because I heard such good reviews so maybe I just got a bad drink?

you know what it is... the duchess is up in here at reverb. best coffee in town. excellent service. met some awesome people... christian and jake. the vibe is real... grounded, welcoming, and full of good energy. the figgysmallz and heathrichards are absolute fire. hands down... the dopest coffee spot in bako. jus emo thinkn about it yumz read more
I overheard a guy at my gym talking about his coffee shop and I was like... okay! Most definitely need to see what the all the rave was about. Since I do love a good coffee spot! So of course I went and ordered a caramel macchiato & a cold brew, cold foam with honey brown sugar, & YUM, TASTY, SWEET!!! Such a pleasant surprise! The macchiato was perfectly balanced not overly sweet and you could really taste the coffee (which I appreciate so much). As for the cold brew...So smooth with a little boldness, but the honey adds the sweetest touch. It was giving cozy, it was giving "one more sip please." You can tell they're still getting everything fully set up, but it already feels like it's going to be such a cute little spot to sit, study, or catch up with someone over a delicious cup of coffee. I'll definitely be back for my little coffee dates or a good book! read more

Reverb Coffee inside the newly restored Woolworths Diner is honestly one of my favorite spots in downtown Bakersfield. The place has so much character thanks to the recent restoration, it's got that perfect mix of old-school charm and modern vibes. The atmosphere is super welcoming and really captures what makes our city special. The ambience is awesome...think retro touches with a fresh twist. It's the ideal place to chill, catch up with friends, or just enjoy some solo time with a good cup of coffee. Speaking of coffee, these folks know what they're doing. Every cup is made with care, and the flavors are seriously on point. It is just as good as any specialty café I've tried. I like my coffee strong, so I always go for an extra shot. If you're into bold coffee, definitely give that a try! I love hanging out downtown, and seeing these old buildings brought back to life is amazing. Places like Reverb Coffee make our community feel even more special. If you haven't checked it out yet, do yourself a favor and stop by you won't be disappointed! read more

SO good! Went with a friend. Been trying to get down here for months. So worth all the anticipation I had for it! Honey and brown sugar latte! I typically just do a plain latte or cold brew. Stopped by the new coffee cart at the Woolworths building to check it out. Pricing is pretty much in line with most places around town. They seem to make their own homemade syrups, which is a nice touch -- I went with the brown butter sage flavor. I couldn't really taste the sage much, but it was topped with toffee, which was a fun (and tasty) surprise. Overall, the coffee was pretty good, the vibe was nice, more of a quick in and out spot and I'd definitely come back to try another flavor. read more

Second time back and the service was just as excellent if not more so, the ambiance was lively due to the upcoming Veterans Day parade. I shared a strawberry donut with my lovely girlfriend and it was absolutely amazing, highly recommend. We both got a drip, and it is tied for best drip in town and definitely the best drip down town. This time I got an iced specialty drink instead of a shot of straight espresso- I would highly recommended getting an extra shot of espresso if you want a more "coffee forward" flavor in your specialty drinks. The Figgy Smalls had an excellent and balanced flavor with the extra shot, I love the taste of their syrup and it carried with it the fruit flavor of the fig. read more

We drove past this place yesterday & I saw a lot of people inside so I told my husband we should come back tomorrow. We did & I have to say, I love the simplicity of the coffee shop. Very minimal menu, decor, with some chairs to sit. I love how old school it feels. My husband got an Americano & he enjoyed it. I asked the friendly person working what was popular & he recommended the Figgie Smalls which comes hot or iced. He said they sweeten their drinks with their in-house made syrups & that they're not too sweet. He was right! The Figgie Smalls was DELICIOUS & not too sweet but just enough. The dried figs in it brought a powerful flavor & it was awesome. The drink was $7 but compared to Starbucks, I'd definitely rather spend my money here. I will definitely be back. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the other employee working was talking with someone & openly using the "f" word. Not the most professional. read more

Got the brown butter sage syrup to go with my matcha latte with oat milk and it did not disappoint! It was a different flavor I would never expected to taste good, but it sure hits top of my matcha latte roster! Service was quick! Ambiance is your typical small coffee shop. My boyfriend got the honey brown sugar latte. It was mid. He added a shot of espresso and that drink made him feel jittery! So definitely some strong shots! read more

After visiting Reverb Coffee a couple of times and tasting a variety of their signature coffee drinks. I honestly think this coffee shop misses the mark for coffee, especially when it comes to their "homemade syrup" drinks. I tried all 3 signature drinks and they all taste like hot milk. The drinks lack flavor let alone a coffee taste. Now I know these folks just started so hopefully they can elevate their coffee making game in the future. One pro is that they have really good customer skills, and the aesthetics of the place are nice. Type of place where you see plenty of influencers posting for the gram but the coffee is what is needed to make this place better. read more

I've seen a lot of buzz around this place, mainly because it's new and exciting since it's an addition to the grand re-opening of Woolworth. I hate to say that while it looks like such a great addition and a fun experience, the coffee is not good. We tried two of the signature iced lattes, which the barista had suggested for us. We were told they were good for their special homemade syrups, and brews. Least to say, when we got our drinks all we tasted was milk and water. The hints of coffee had been like a needle in a haystack, something you'd make at home with Nescafé, water, and a dream. I think there is so much potential here, they just need to fix their coffee and flavor profile ratio. The modernization of Bakersfield has been interesting for the past few years, and it would be nice to finally get some pretty good additions to make our community bigger. Reverb can definitely make that a huge staple for their coffee and community if they improve their game. Regardless, the vibe and atmosphere here is superb! read more
