I overheard a guy at my gym talking about his coffee shop and I was like... okay! Most definitely need to see what the all the rave was about. Since I do love a good coffee spot! So of course I went and ordered a caramel macchiato & a cold brew, cold foam with honey brown sugar, & YUM, TASTY, SWEET!!! Such a pleasant surprise! The macchiato was perfectly balanced not overly sweet and you could really taste the coffee (which I appreciate so much). As for the cold brew...So smooth with a little boldness, but the honey adds the sweetest touch. It was giving cozy, it was giving "one more sip please." You can tell they're still getting everything fully set up, but it already feels like it's going to be such a cute little spot to sit, study, or catch up with someone over a delicious cup of coffee. High quality all around. It's a fresh space, crisp designs from the interior, the counter, to the drink cups. The coffee itself shines, smooth, flavorful, delicious. We didn't try their syrups but sounds like people love them. We like plan coffee and it was really good without any extras. My latte had a strong milk flavor so next time I'd like to try their iced coffee. Hubby got an iced coffee and it was really good. They do have some donuts in a case but that's all for food. Reverb Coffee is in the Woolworth's building in downtown Bakersfield. I was happy to see how many people were coming in to support this business. The interior is very simple and white. There are high top tables but no stools inside. However, they have tables and chairs on the patio.I had an iced Heath Richard's. The whole team is welcoming and kind. It's easy to feel a part of the Reverb fam. They're all great at what they do as well. Reverb is totally worth the hype. My first time coming to coffee places i always get the vanilla latte with oat milk. The color of my coffee was perfect and it wasn't overly sweet. The service was quick and I look forward to trying some of their specialty flavors next time! There was a pretty long line and we waited about 20 mins for our coffee but I'd say it was worth the wait. There's standing room and a few tables you can hangout at. I finally had a chance to try this new coffee spot which is located inside the Woolworths building. They offer matcha, coffee (iced or hot) and have some pastries as well as merchandise with their name on it. Staff was kind, attentive, willing to answer questions, and shared the meaning behind the name Reverb. I ordered an iced latte with almond milk and honey brown sugar syrup. I like that they have non dairy alternatives and sugar free syrup options. My coffee was decent maybe I just need to give it a try again because it wasn't very strong. They seem to make their own homemade syrups, which is a nice touch -- I went with the brown butter sage flavor. I couldn't really taste the sage much, but it was topped with toffee, which was a fun (and tasty) surprise. We drove past this place yesterday & I saw a lot of people inside so I told my husband we should come back tomorrow. We did & I have to say, I love the simplicity of the coffee shop. Very minimal menu, decor, with some chairs to sit. I love how old school it feels. My husband got an Americano & he enjoyed it. I asked the friendly person working what was popular & he recommended the Figgie Smalls which comes hot or iced. He said they sweeten their drinks with their in-house made syrups & that they're not too sweet. He was right! The Figgie Smalls was DELICIOUS & not too sweet but just enough. The dried figs in it brought a powerful flavor & it was awesome. The drink was $7 but compared to Starbucks, I'd definitely rather spend my money here. I will definitely be back. Second time back and the service was just as excellent if not more so, the ambiance was lively due to the upcoming Veterans Day parade. I shared a strawberry donut with my lovely girlfriend and it was absolutely amazing, highly recommend. We both got a drip, and it is tied for best drip in town and definitely the best drip down town. This time I got an iced specialty drink instead of a shot of straight espresso- I would highly recommended getting an extra shot of espresso if you want a more "coffee forward" flavor in your specialty drinks. The Figgy Smalls had an excellent and balanced flavor with the extra shot, I love the taste of their syrup and it carried with it the fruit flavor of the fig. read more

I hate to say that while it looks like such a great addition and a fun experience, the coffee is not good. We tried two of the signature iced lattes, which the barista had suggested for us. We were told they were good for their special homemade syrups, and brews. Least to say, when we got our drinks all we tasted was milk and water. The hints of coffee had been like a needle in a haystack, something you'd make at home with Nescafé, water, and a dream. I think there is so much potential here, they just need to fix their coffee and flavor profile ratio. The modernization of Bakersfield has been interesting for the past few years, and it would be nice to finally get some pretty good additions to make our community bigger.
