Twisted Coffee is THE Spooky lil' hotspot for all the horror fans out there ~ We came by on a Wednesday evening and my family tried the Shark Attack Lemonade and The Monkey Latte with Oat Milk. I heard the Shark Attack was pretty tasty. I enjoyed the flavors of The Monkey Latte, which was a pleasant surprise as I typically only drink tea cause coffee usually has me cracked out. This drink wasn't overly caffeinated and had a fun banana cream top, which I enjoyed. It would be cool for them to offer matcha, chai or earl grey lattes in the future. Our drinks were tasty, but we did have trouble pushing the straws through the lids for some reason ~ The horror themed atmosphere is a vibe fasho! The movie posters scattered across the wall are cute and the artwork throughout the shop gives a lot to reminisce about. I really appreciated the high, open ceilings ~ it makes the space feel a lot larger and fresher inside because it does get LIT with people in there! There are just a couple tables available, so hopefully we'll get a chance to chill here one day and enjoy the full Twisted experience. BTW The bathroom is especially creepy with the lights off. First time visiting Twisted Coffee!!! It's a really small coffee shop that could really use a bigger space because it's poppin'! It was busy when I came in, so lots of guests were coming in and out since there's not much space to sit and sip. My party was lucky to get some seats. Tables are more suited for couples though. There's one table that could fit four people, or for individuals, there's two large comfy chairs. The spooky vibes are on point here. The restroom is probably the creepiest spot. The Nun is just hovering over you while you take care of business lol. I initially ordered the Monkey but they were out of mocha syrup, so I opted for the Mourning Sunshine and added banana cold foam. It was good, but I just know a mocha would probably be better. While sitting, my group saw people walking out with ghosts on their drinks. Out of curiosity, we ordered the Ashes to Ashes and it was too cute. We didn't even wanna sip it and ruin the ghost. Their fall menu is coming soon. I'm also looking forward to October when they drop their IV drip bags. That sounds like a fun time. read more

I'm visiting Bakersfield and my siblings & I were looking up some cool places to check out while I'm in town. As a fellow horror lover, when they suggested Twisted Coffee, I instantly agreed. A horror-themed coffee shop?! Obviously I had to go! We visited on 8/22/26 around 2 PM. It was only a short drive from our house, which was super convenient. Originally, it was just supposed to be my brother, sister, and I grabbing coffee, but once I mentioned the place was horror themed, my parents and younger siblings couldn't help themselves and had to tag along to scope out the decor too. When we first arrived, it looked pretty busy, so I figured this must be a popular spot. Luckily, the crowd started clearing out pretty quickly as people picked up their drinks and left, so we had more room to look around and take everything in. My siblings and I had already checked out the menu beforehand, so we pretty much knew what we wanted. My sister ordered the Berry Scary Latte, I went with the Salted Carrie-Mel Latte, and my brother got the Cookie Cutter Latte. I'm not sure if they normally have pastries available, but there weren't any during our visit. I was actually a little hungry, so I definitely would've grabbed one if they had them! Customer service was great! Everyone working was super friendly, polite, and welcoming. They had a great attitude even though they were busy, and our drinks came out quickly too. I really appreciated how friendly the staff was throughout our visit. Of course, we were ALL much more interested in checking out the horror decor. The shop is on the smaller side but really cute, with a few tables available if you want to sit and enjoy your drink. It can feel a little snug inside, but that didn't bother us. I especially loved their vintage-looking TV with horror movie VHS tapes! I'm such a sucker for nostalgic decor, so this was definitely one of my favorite details. They also had Ghostface, Jigsaw on his tricycle, Annabelle in her display case, and plenty of other creepy little details throughout the shop. My siblings and I had fun taking pictures and looking around while we waited for our drinks. Now, remember... I'm NOT a big coffee girl lol. My siblings are the actual coffee drinkers, but I obviously had to try something while I was here! I got the Salted Carrie-Mel Latte and honestly... I really liked it! I thought it had a really nice sweet-to-coffee ratio. It was sweet without being overwhelmingly sweet, which worked well for me since I don't drink coffee very often. My brother's Cookie Cutter Latte was also really good, although his was definitely a little stronger than mine. After trying all of our drinks, we all agreed that his was our favorite! My younger sister also really enjoyed her Berry Scary Latte, so overall, I'd say all three drinks were solid choices. I really enjoyed my visit to Twisted Coffee! It's a fun little spot with a unique theme, friendly service, and some really fun decor to check out while enjoying your drink. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Bakersfield, especially to try another spooky drink and hopefully grab a pastry if they have them available! I recommend checking Twisted Coffee out if you're a coffee lover, horror fan, or just looking for a fun and unique spot in Bakersfield. We finally decided to try this new cafe out. It's a little shop in the corner of a building. Walking inside, obviously the decor is super cute. They also have horror movies playing on the TV for people to watch so it's a vibe for sure. It's very small, I could only imagine how it was opening week. Ordering our drinks, it was like any normal cafe. The service was ok, nobody really stood out. Getting our drinks was quick, they were decent. The Monkey was veryyyy sweet and not very strong, and the Killer Coke was just cherry coke with whip cream on top. Overall, nice place to come hang out. Would I come again? Oh my gosh what a fun time we had getting coffee at Twisted! I love horror movies and they had something from just about all of them! We walked in and there was a movie playing, the decor goes all the way up the walls! We put in our orders at the counter and everything was pretty quick, with just enough time to inspect the walls for your fave scary character. Them menu is small but definitely has something for everyone with options too. Everyone loved what they ordered. My husband got the monkey and I have to say as someone who doesn't like banana coffee, this coffee was so so good. The foam was actually amazing, I get it now. Okay bessstieeee! Twisted Coffee...you totally had me at Chucky! I finally made it in, and this spooky little coffee shop completely stole my heart. The Halloween vibes had me feeling so nostalgic with all my horror movie favorites from back in the day like Chucky, It, and Hocus Pocus! The owner was an absolute sweetheart and so easy to talk to. You can tell she truly loves what she's created. My coffee was delicious, and made with love! I like my coffee a little stronger than most so next time I will be sure to add the extra shot! So I randomly come in here because I work across the street and I have been getting some of the pastries and they are pretty darn good. I have to say the best one was the cinnamon roll so far. It was so rich. I shared it with multiple people at my work, but I will definitely get one again if I see it there. The cronuts are good but I don't care for flaky. The chucky cookie was just ok. This one has major seed oils in it. So I can't get it again. I'm curious as to what the baker makes their items with. read more

Twisted Coffee is such a fun mix of spooky décor and genuinely great drinks. The horror theme gives the place a unique vibe, but the coffee is what really stands out. The Biscoff coffee was smooth and rich, the mocha banana coffee tasted like a chocolate‑banana treat, and the Biscoff cinnamon roll was warm and delicious. Super friendly staff and a memorable atmosphere definitely worth a visit. My only gripe would be there was only two tables, so we were unable to sit and enjoy our coffee and cinnamon roll. Amazing atmosphere and an even better staff! What really stood out to me was seeing the employees use their downtime to talk through the menu and discuss how to better answer customer questions. I've been so excited to try this new coffee shop & it did not disappoint! First thing we noticed was the large line; always a good sign! The line moved quick & we got our drinks fast which was awesome. Service was great. The co-owner was very friendly as well as the other employees working. Though the shop itself is small, it's so cute. I'm a huge horror fan & the decor was curated perfectly. Let's get to the drinks! My husband got the You'll Float Too soda & it tasted just like a root beer float. He loved it. My daughter got the Rotten to the Core lemonade. It was caramel apple flavored, very sweet but also refreshing. I got the Mourning Sunshine which is a vanilla latte. I don't like lattes too sweet & this was perfectly strong. The prices are very good & we will definitely be back. I'm interested in trying some pastries & other drinks! It was so hard to choose because they have so many options. The young man you have working at the front is incredibly rude. You're called twisted coffee but when I walk in to ask about getting a coffee he rolls his eyes, and very rudely told me we don't sell coffee. Am I mistaken in thinking espressos and frappes are forms of coffee? I have walked out twice without ordering now because of his attitude, and multiple workers at my job down the street have been feeling the same way. The drinks our staff have gotten here are nice, however I would advise some sort of job training or new staff. This type of behavior is going to cost you more in lost revenue than you realize. read more

Well what can I say other than this place NEVER disappoints!!! Me and my family have been here several times and our experience has been wonderful each time that we keep coming back. I've tried several of their drinks but I have to say my favorite so far is the Berry Scary Latte. As busy as it gets the crowds have been very patient and friendly staff works very hard and fast to perfect each order. Definitely a nice place to try especially if you love horror themed movies. Ambiance is what you come to a place like this for. A horror-themed coffee spot is v on trend in larger cities for the past few years and it's cool we have one in town, now. Shame it's small and maybe should be marketed as a place to pick up and go rather than to chill, because it is tiny. My friend commented on the vhs tapes but no player and I thought that was funny, but also a bit indicative of the decor; tiny bit lacking. It's got a spooky, retro horror vibe for sure, but I think there could be more decor(more posters on the main wall that had the spooky portraits, maybe add chains, fake webs elsewhere), the lighting could be spookier, and the baristas could also have uniforms that go w the vibe or accessories other than just a black tee, but those are extras that could come with time. I loved the encased Annabelle that greets you as you enter, the collage of horror titles on one side, and the coffin book case, which reminded me of one I used to have. I just think compared to those, one wall looked like it was missing something. The drinks were pretty good, I got a slasher lemonade and it was a strawberry flavor, it was fine. I feel like a dark cherry flavor and syrup splattered on the rim or all over the inside of the cup would have sold an item with that name better. The service was alright; everyone was kind of scattered, but I don't really blame them. It is a new business and the crowd was getting a bit big for a small space. The manager gave me and my partner a ~shook look when we were taking a selfie, which lowkey did remind me of the time a homophobic baker in town noticed I was queer on a date at her event lol. Like you just don't forget when someone clearly doesn't like you or your identity and you sense it from people when you are gay that they are disapproving BUT at least this time the employee noticed I noticed her and she smiled, so that was better ? Idk she might have just been surprised lol. The shop is very cute and the young woman that took my order was sweet. I swung by this shop 2 times to give it a chance but the drinks weren't good both times. I've ordered the monkey latte and the vanilla latte and it's extremely milky. Hardly can taste the flavor nor the espresso.
