Once in a while I like to treat myself by having breakfast by myself at Mandy's. For being a stay at home mom/foster parent . Mandy's it's just a place to relax , enjoy my coffee while waiting for my meal and watch a movie. The staff is very wonderful always making sure your food is perfect and if you are a regular, I'm pretty sure they know your name by now.

Such beautiful ambiance! Made my heart calm. The coffee is strong... just how I like my men

Want kitschy? This is the Pink Place for it The food is fresh and heater appropriate and portion size is nice. One waitress but the place is small and she's fast in her feet with a ready smile. We just love the ambiance and decor. I don't like it but the raised base-type tables and stools seem very popular. I ordered my hash browns extra crispy and they weren't but they are forgiven because everything else was perfect.

Such a great spot! Their iced coffee is always on point! The gurls were super kind to my baby and they accommodated us for comfort of our baby. Food is great and always served hot and delicious, i just wish their spot was a little bigger, its a bit of tight squeeze in there. Over all delicious food and great service

We were making a run to Costco and trying to follow the "Never shop on an empty stomach" rule. We stopped by Mandy's Cafe on Panama for some nourishment. It was a nice day, and we sat outside. The server helped us quickly and brought us lemonade and iced tea. Our order came out quickly. We opted for the Super Bird and fries to split between the two of us. The meat was tender. I like the sourdough, toasted bread. This is a really nice cafe with a pleasant atmosphere and reasonable prices. If you are near Panama and Stine, try it.

Great and filling brunch for family, kids & grandchildren. We enjoyed our morning with our quick service of food brought out with the variety of dishes we ordered. Very clean and tranquil place. Staff was friendly and helpful to accommodate our family.

Was looking for a new breakfast and asked yelp to help me out. Decided on Mandee's café! I'm so glad we went here. First of all, I was surprised that I didn't have to wait in line, but I think I might've got there early and beat the rush. This place has a super cute look to it. They have a nice looking bar and some areas where you can take selfies. Let's get to the food! That's what we're here for. I ordered the chorizo egg scramble. And my grandson ordered the churro waffles with eggs. My chorizo egg scramble was amazing. It had potatoes underneath cooked to perfection, cheese, chorizo, and eggs all scrambled up and on top of the potatoes. Very very very good! My grandson got the churro waffles and he said that they were awesome! He said the bacon that comes with those was delicious too. The waitress that helped us was very nice and attentive. I enjoyed chatting with her during our visit. We will be back.

Cute environment and good service. My wife had bacon, sausage, eggs and pancakes and was happy with the taste and that they were hot. However, I had the country scramble which was good but started at room temperature and quickly went cold. The potatoes were cold from the start and caused the eggs to get cold. The drinks were good but the cold coffee was poured from a store container. Mixed opinions but nothing tasted bad.

This is the first time review. We found Mandy's Café looking around for the Costco in that side of town. We found it right across the street. Initially the place look really inviting. It was really nicely decorated on the inside and the waitress was sweet when she addressed this and basically told us to sit anywhere else was open. We didn't look up any pictures or reviews before going here so I decided to get the chicken and waffles and my wife decided to get the divorce Chilaquiles. We received the food and I was immediately disappointed. I had what was a very good looking chicken and waffle display however, on top of my waffle was a couple of kids chicken strips. I expected chicken whether it was a thigh or a couple of legs, but that's not what I got highly disappointing Basically a one star meal . However, it could've been a five star if I was a four-year-old.. Next was the divorced Chilaquiles, which was pretty amazing and would have gotten pay for out of five stars. The beat was tender. The chips had some soft and some hard inside to perfect combination. My wife liked her meal. She said it was better than ones we had before at another location in Bakersfield. Overall Mandys Café is probably a lot better than the chicken and waffles meal that they provided me. I think it could be a pretty decent place to go. I still haven't looked at reviews for this place. I wanted to make sure I had a raw experience before I based my review on other people's experience. I can tell you this if you're an adult do not order the chicken and waffles here you will be highly disappointed.

Eggs Benny, with home fries. Absolutely amazing!

Stopped by Mandy's while Costco rotated our tires. Love Eggs Benny with home fries. Perfection. Friendly service is always top notch and music selection adds to the experience. So many reasonably priced quality breakfast and lunch options.

This was a nice spot with an inviting atmosphere and service. The server was nice and she was attentive to anything we needed. As for my burrito, it was pretty good! It was pretty loaded, but for a more complete meal a little bit of potatoes would have paired nicely. But we can't have everything we want can we. Overall: pretty good food and not super expensive but it is more than other breakfast spots in the area, so there is that if you're looking for cheaper options.

The restaurant has an open kitchen concept, which we were actually excited about since you can see everything being prepared. Unfortunately, that's where things went wrong. We were seated right in front of the kitchen, and my wife began noticing some concerning food safety issues from one of the cooks. She observed him handling ready to eat, cooked food with his bare hands, including picking up avocado from her California omelette so another cook could add cheese underneath. Shortly after, she saw him rub his nose and continue working without washing his hands. The final straw was watching him grab a pinch of scrambled eggs from a plate on the hot line and eat it with his fingers. At that point, we were completely turned off. We had already placed our order, but there was no way we were going to eat after seeing that. My wife went to the counter and let the server know what she had witnessed, and we left. It's disappointing because the menu looked great and we were really looking forward to trying this place. I'm not sure how this behavior isn't being noticed or addressed by other staff, but based on what we saw, it didn't seem like a one-time thing. I hope management takes this seriously, reviews their cameras, and reinforces proper food safety standards.

The vibes in the new space are absolutely immaculate. There is so much more energy here, and the decorations are incredibly cute. It's the perfect backdrop for a killer meal. The Main Event: This time around, I went with the En Fuego Burger. This beast is loaded with a chile-spiced beef patty, pepperjack, sharp cheddar, thick-cut bacon, chipotle mayo, pepper relish, pickled jalapeños, and a mountain of fried jalapeños + onion strings. The Flavor Profile: This burger delivers on every level, but those fried onion strings were to die for. For the side, I got the sweet potato fries, which are served as big, thick-cut wedges. They come paired with a duo of spicy ketchup and a marshmallow dipping sauce. Switching between the two was amazing, the marshmallow sauce actually makes the fries feel like a dessert. The Drink: To wash it all down, I ordered the basil lemonade, and omg, I need to figure out how to recreate this at home. It's exactly what it sounds like, crisp, refreshing lemonade with a perfect herbal basil finish. The Verdict: If you loved their old spot, the new location takes everything to the next level. Between the upgraded atmosphere, the dessert-like fries, and that refreshing lemonade, I will absolutely be coming back here again and again.

SMITTENS STAPLE IS THEIR ABILITY TO MISS THE FLAVOR IN EVER SINGLE DISH…read more Update: coming back after some palate development... smitten is one of the most tasteless restaurants in town. Their hype was definitely due to the 'aesthetic'. Nothing is really outstanding to me. The drinks are such a let down, the coffee is borderline yuck.. do not recommend. Everything is quite unmemorable. Service is whatever, sometimes mid, sometimes bad. Nothing outstanding. Ambiance.... well... this one has been replicated one too many times. The food is heavily missing flavor, the hummus is disgusting. I can't believe they call that thing hummus, it's an insult to actual dish.. it's almost like it was trying to imitate the real dish, but failed terribly in even attempting to. Their pizza tasted like play-doh and looked very pale. Smitten is at least consistent with one thing, which is their staple: no flavor. One of the breaking points for me was being served food that had someone's HAIR. The restaurant is very expensive for the poor experience they have to offer. I stopped recommending them a long time ago.
