I'd seen Nour Bar on Yelp recently and decided to try it out after seeing their Valentine's menu on IG. I ordered the Matcha Made in Heaven + the Hot Honey & Bacon Melt for myself as well as a couple of the Banana Cream Lattes and Mango Chia Pudding to go for my family. (The staff gave me a discount card for the wait time so I decided to use it to get the other drinks and pudding). Despite the Valentine's Day drink not looking like the photo advertised online, the drink itself was unique and tasty. The textures from the strawberries and cheesecake added to the drink were fun and the strawberries tasted perfectly ripe. The matcha was slightly earthy and sweet. The sandwich was filling and the mixture of cheeses with the meat was fire. It would have been even better with some avocado or greens added. My family said their lattes tasted like fresh bananas ~ they really enjoyed them. They also liked the chia pudding with Greek yogurt that tasted fresh and almost dessert like. Everyone here was friendly and accommodating. There's space for about 10 or less people to sit somewhere, but they had music going at a decent volume and a lot of ambient lighting. The concept of mixing supplements with the cafe is unique. Overall, I would highly recommend you check out Nour Bar. The drinks and dishes are made well with fresh, healthy ingredients and they taste much more flavorful (& not overly sweet) compared to most cafes in town. I'll be back! read more

Stopped by Nour Bar in Bakersfield and tried their banana cream matcha--it was so good. Smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced without being too sweet. You can really taste the quality of the matcha, and the banana cream adds a nice, unique twist. The spot itself has a great vibe, and everything felt fresh and well made. Found the spot through a quick Yelp search of nearby coffee spots. It's actually inside of a sports nutrition store, but they sell much more than just green juices and protein shakes! Their coffee and matcha menu sounded great so it was difficult to choose. I really enjoyed my banana cream latte! I liked that they use real banana here too, and it really hit the spot for an afternoon caffeine fix. read more

Stopped by here for quick drinks during a road trip. I got the matcha Einspanner. It was a little confusing that the cashier asked me if wanted to add double or triple matcha because they were using different terms for it. The place was a little small but had a cute mirror and a bunch of protein products. Matcha was good but wish the cups were bigger for how much we paid. Checked out, Nour Bar on my way home from a trip to Joshua Tree, anywhere I go I look specifically for a banana Matcha, and this was the closest one I could find that looked tasty from other reviews! Initially, I almost didn't get to try it because I was unable to find the business, but after reading other reviews, I found that it was actually inside of the supplement store across from Carl's Jr. They have protein powders and other products for what I'm assuming is fitness and health related, it's a small cute little store with a friendly team. I got the banana Matcha, which came out pretty quickly despite others being head of me. Off the first sip. It tasted a little like a protein style drink, which may have just been because I got oat milk, but the overall taste was super good! Anything banana I'm obsessed with and I would get this again if I was in the area. read more

Place is cute, chic. My boyfriend loved the vanilla dream smoothie. He said it was the best smoothie he's ever had. I was jealous because I didn't get to try it, but we made plans that when we drive through Bakersfield we'll be stopping here. They sell nutrition products too! They had small baggies of products (samples maybe?) on their tables, but not sure if they're free. The staff greeted me. I liked the music they were playing too. Loved this place, small and quaint but definitely deserves more recognition. Matcha's starting to grip Bakersfield and it's great. The flight is off the menu but I requested and they obliged which is great. My favorite was the einspanner and the horchata! The banana I think is an acquired taste but the banana chip was a great add. The strawberry puree is a little difficult to mix so you'll need to put in some time stirring. Great place and wonderful staff! read more

Finally got to check this cafe out! It's located inside of a supplement shop. They had a flag out front so it's easy to spot! They offer a variety of coffees, matcha, smoothies, and small bites. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it was great! The espresso was strong but not overwhelming and the drink had the perfect amount of sweetness. There isn't much seating and there's not much space to do work so it isn't a place I'd linger. If you're in the area and want a great afternoon pick me up I'd definitely recommend! read more

**3.5 STARS** The drinks look appealing, so I wanted to give them a try. We got the most popular drinks: the vanilla dream and banana matcha. The banana matcha was decent, but not my favorite. I realized I'm not a fan of vanilla protein powder or just the protein powder taste in general. My partner liked it, though. I would like to give the other drinks a try. They are more costly than normal, but they are more healthy (still cheaper than Erewhon smoothies lol). read more

Drinks are amazing, they're all fresh and made to order. I've ordered a handful of drinks, and would confidently recommend them. Okay this is a hidden gem!! It's so cute inside. I do with they had more seating and a bigger space. The workers are friendly and helpful! Came in when they opened on a Sunday morning excited to try their matcha flight. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I was hooked and would love to come back to have full size of their matcha, and try their smoothies. I got the Blue Oasis smoothie and it tasted pretty good. It was $14 so it was a little pricy. I've also tried their matcha which was really good, but also pricy for being $10. Would visit again if I want to treat myself to a yummy, healthy drink! read more

Needed a quick coffee fix for a late nite commute back to LA and by chance decided to stop here! The barista server was so nice, welcoming, asked me if I had been there and talked me through a few of their most popular drink options. I went for their brown sugar shaken espresso with oat milk. Unrelated but I had a pretty bad headache prior, but I swear something about this drink cured my headache and soothed my soul. Not even kidding, their coffee is amazing-- it's strong, smooth and paired so well with the milk and sugar. I can definitely tell they use quality ingredients at this shop. The shop shares a space with a fitness supplement (?) shop but definitely still has a clean, coffee- eseque shop space with a few places to sit. Will definitely be returning! read more

This place is a nice vibe. I was serviced by Leslie and Kelsey. They were great help. I let them know I was vegan and they answered my questions and even gave me some suggestions. I'd love that that will definitely make me come back again. You don't always get good customer service. The horchata matcha was suggested. I got it with oat milk. It tastes wonderful. It's a nice balance, and it's over ice, perfect for a hot day. They also have juices, which i initially went for however, those have to be pre. Ordered the day before, I think I may do that. I would definitely recommend this place and I'll definitely be returning. They also sale protein powders, vitamins and nutrient also supplements. read more

Their smoothies are super fresh and not overly sweet -- you can actually taste the fruit and protein instead of just sugar. The matcha is hands down the best I've had in town, really smooth and not bitter (you can ask for more or less depending on your liking). I also tried a latte on my last visit and it was perfectly balanced, creamy, and made with care. The place has a really welcoming vibe and the staff are always friendly and quick, even when it's busy. It's become my go-to for a mid-day pick-me-up or a post-workout drink. Definitely recommend if you're looking for something healthier but still delicious. read more

The only place I will go for smoothies in Bakersfield! The service is always very quick and attentive. I try to get a new drink on the menu when I stop by, and they have all been extremely good. The in-house protein that they use has never once upset my stomach, and helps to make the smoothie more complete as a meal replacement. The ambiance is also very nice, with plenty of supplements to purchase as you wait for your drink. I have been a customer of Prime Sports Nutrition for many years, and addition of Nour Bar is much needed in an expanding city like Bakersfield. Would highly recommend! read more

Nour Bar is easily and hands down the best smoothies I've ever had. The service was amazing - I placed an online order for 20 smoothies for my whole office staff on a Friday afternoon and they were able to get it done within 30 minutes by the time I went to go pick it up. Even when you walk into Nour Bar - it feels like you're walking into the lobby of a five star hotel. Nour Bar has my heart and my wallet for my weekly smoothies!!! Passed by and decided to give this place a try. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made it an easy stop. We ordered the cookie butter latte and the matcha Einspanner, both were solid and nicely made. We stopped by late in the evening right before they closed and still felt very welcomed. Also noticed they carry a wide selection of fitness supplements like creatine, protein, amino acids, and more, which is a nice bonus. Would stop by again. read more

Came across a video advertising Nour and was instantly impressed by the look of the establishment itself, decided to give them a try; arrived 10 minutes before closing and was nervous about quality and customer service. I was completely surprised! Despite them getting ready to close, literally mopping, I was greeted with smiles. I wish I would have asked for the employees name, but she was just amazing overall, super attentive and helpful, & incredibly friendly. This is just the customer service, the drink!!!!! HORCHATA MATCHA 10/10!!! Best Matcha I've had in Bakersfield thus far. Had I not downed the entire drink on my way home I'd upload a photo. I arrive to Nour Bar around 10 minutes before it was supposed to open at 9am. I waiting in my car until 9, got out of my car and walked to the door to notice it was still closed. I waiting 15 minutes and it still wasn't open so i life. A few hours later I called to talk with an employee regarding their hours. A girl picked up the phone and i asked her when they open. she said "9am". I responded "i was at your store at 9am and waiting 15 minutes for the store to open and still no one was there so i left". She laughed and said "yeah, sometimes we're late". The employees careless responses for loss business was incredibly surprising and unprofessional. I was extremely excited to try this place and to have this experience is disappointing. read more

Heck Panera has better bagels. These are more like very dense bread masquerading as bagels. I'm beyond disappointed. Additionally, no one in my house liked them. I don't recommend the bagels. Thumbprint cookies, I had high hopes for these, but they are rock hard. I expected a nice flaky cookie, similar to the thumbprint cookies from Smith Bakery. It's also connected to a church, so it definitely leans into that community-centered atmosphere. Unfortunately, after going back 3-4 times hoping my experience would improve, the coffee has been consistently disappointing. It tastes burnt and weak at the same time like warm water with sugar. There barely seems to be any real espresso in the drinks. On more than one occasion, I've taken several sips hoping it would get better... and ended up throwing the whole drink away because it was just that bad. That's honestly frustrating, especially when you're paying for specialty coffee. The only drink I've actually enjoyed there is the pumpkin spice latte, that one was solid.
