Lots of options on the menu, the cashier was nice, customer service 4/5. Ordered Matcha Oreo Slush ($7.95), 2.5/5. It was sweet from the crushed oreos and chocolate drizzle on the side. Besides that, the slush itself didn't have too much of a taste, either too icy or milky. Costs $1 for water+ice cup. Ordered 3 piece Boong O Pang ($9.95 + $2 flavors), 2/5 . They were slightly crispy on the edges but mostly soft. I ordered the Oreo Nutella (+$1) which was my favorite though it didn't have too much Nutella filling. Next was regular custard which it appears they used a type of custard that's very sweet and more of a jello consistency. Last was Strawberry Custard (+$1), unfortunately it appears they used chunks of strawberries that either were out too long or stewed in something as the strawberries were very sour and soggy and tasted a bit fermented. It was these strawberry bits with the regular custard but the strawberries threw me off so I ended up not finishing. I was craving something really sweet and cold after a big meal of Korean barbecue so I found this little café Tori which serves Boba Matcha, coffee and Bing soo. You can only dine in for the Bing soo. We ordered the mango and strawberry Oreo. Dalgona Coffee and Dalgona Matcha Mango. They have self serve kiosk so not much you can do for alternatives unless you ask over the counter. The ambiance was nice and modern like the usual boba cafes. Been here twice and look forward to a lot more visits. Both visits I ordered the Organic Strawberry Matcha Dalonga. This is my absolute favorite. The matcha Dalonga is rich and creamy and very stable. It doesn't melt into your drink until stirred. They use a strawberry purée and fresh muddled strawberries for a sweet and tart flavor. Combination works well. I look forward to trying other drink options. On my first visit, I also ordered Bungeoppang "carp bread," is a highly popular Korean street food. It is a fish-shaped pastry with a crispy, waffle-like exterior filled with your choice of fillings. Texture is crispy but also a bit chewy (kinda like mochi). I ordered 3 (mozzarella, Nutella and custard) all three flavors were delicious. These are made to order and take about 15-20 minutes to make. Cafe Tori's menu has many options. The cafe was very clean, organized and spacious. The self-serve kiosk is their preferred method of ordering as there are only two people working. Both staff were very friendly but extremely busy. The owner was there both times that I went. This place is located in a strip mall so plenty of parking however, during peak lunch and dinner times, Maui Pho customers take the majority of the parking near Cafe Tori. This place is one of my favorite spots for a sweet treat. My favorite is the Mango Bing Su and the Strawberry Bing Su. the mango has such a refreshing and sweet flavor that doesn't feel overly sweet. The fruits always seem fresh and the condensed milk and shaved ice are a nice compliment along with the syrup and whipped topping. It takes some time for them to construct the Bing Su but the presentation and the flavor overall more than makeup for the wait. I ordered the mango and asked the cashier if their mango is sweet, to which she immediately said yes. When I got my order, the mango was not ripe enough and ruined the experience for me. I've come to Cafe Tori a few times and I've always found everything delicious. I don't like my desserts or boba drinks overly sweet. I like how all the drinks are extremely customizable so you can alter the taste to your preference. They have a kiosk where you order now. It's strange because last time I came in they didn't have all the bingsu flavors they serve available on the kiosk and even though I was standing at the counter the employees were not asking if I needed assistance. After flagging someone down they eventually took my order at the counter. There's some seating inside the restaurant. I appreciate this place is always clean however there have been times that it's been really hot inside. I don't know if I caught them during a bad time but they don't seem to turn the air on even during the summer months. If you're coming here for the first time I highly recommend trying their bingsu flavors. My favorites are the strawberry and mango flavors. They're refreshing and unique to this cafe. The fish shaped pastry boong oh bang are freshly made for you, served hot, and were the perfect level of sweetness. Crispy on outside and soft and gooey on the inside. You do need to order 3 minimum for them to make it but it's so worth it because you will finish all three but also great to share. My favorites were the matcha mochi, red bean and custard! Acai bowl, small starts at $9 and was yum. You can add fruits for an extra dollar each fruit you order. You can't go wrong with these. The Korean coffee was surprisingly on the sweeter end but everyone who tried it loved it. You don't have to mix the cream on top all the way so you can control the sweetness yourself. Service: Order on Kiosk. Confusing because some things that show on the screen weren't available on the kiosk itself so confirm with someone at the front if there is something you want that isn't on the kiosk. This was my second time, I came back with my mom. We saw the boba milk tea set. It was 16.99 and we thought it was a steal but were a bit bummed when it was extra to add boba. We got the coconut and vanilla milk tea and they were both great! Not too sweet. The cheesecakes.... Those were the star of the show!! The matcha had an actual matcha flavor, earthly and not too sweet. The mango cheesecake was the perfect amount of sweetness that just melted into your mouth. Korean Bingsu is something I have had before at a K-spa and there was a place in Northridge that used to have these near CSUN, but I will be honest, I never knew the official name until today. I just knew it as a shaved ice milk. The menu options are pre set so you have a few options but I didn't see any custom option other than the additional sides that you can add. But I still love it. It's like eating sweet snow flakes. My Pat Bingsu had mochi, shaved almonds, red beans and a dusting of kinako, which is a roasted soy bean flour. I loved it although red beans aren't really my thing. My daughter had the strawberry one and she ordered mochi on the side and she loved it too. Service: The service was nice.
