    Chilaquiles rojo from take out
    Tim S.

The food is fantastic! Now I haven't been to the restaurant yet, but have ordered take out a few times and each time it's been delicious! I am a chilaquiles fan and there's (at least the red) is the best I've had in town! Their red sauce is mouth watering good, like I want this recipe so dang good! The jack age it great too, separating the items so I get fresh chips, warm sauce and beans and cold toppings.

Meat lovers omelette. Top with salsa. Bomb!

1st time trying this restaurant. Glad I did. It's Bomb!! Food was great, service was fast. Ambiance was amazing. They really did a great job all around. Prices aren't crazy either! I had the meat lovers omelette, it's was delicious. Packed with meat and very filling to taste. I'll be back to try other menu items. Definitely recommend to friends & family.

Who would ever choose toast over biscuits & gravy?

Got an expected day off from work on a random Thursday (wifey decided to play hooky ) so thought we'd treat ourselves to a breakfast date. This has kind of been our go-to breakfast spot lately and I'm happy to share that today was no exception. Nice and mellow atmosphere with the local diner feel. Very nice menu of all your favorite breakfast options including eggs Benedict, mimosas, and specialty coffees. I always go with the birria omelette (your choice of country potatoes or hash browns and toast or biscuits & gravy) Yes, bring your appetite, very generous servings. The service is always very friendly. Also, take advantage of the super cute photo opp They have a very nice artistic display on the wall as you walk in, and another just across. Check 'em' out

We wanted to give Huevo House a try and I'm glad that we did. We walked in during the week and we were seated right away. The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming. We ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and the 2 eggs combo meal. I enjoyed the burrito, also it wasn't super greasy either being that I ordered chorizo inside. The burrito was filling. I could have eaten half and been satisfied, but it was tasty and we weren't in a rush to eat or leave so I finised it. The eggs, potatoes and sausge were good as well. They said the biscuit was homemade. Portions sizes were spot on, not too big. We'd come back to try some of their other plates.

Since we had to make a stop at Home Depot i came to this one on Ming so we can have breakfast at Huevo House. I was expecting a fast food breakfast place but its a sit down and enjoy breakfast place. The veggie omelet was delicious, i did have to put a bit of salt and next time I will ask for extra cheese but i loved all the veggies. The buscuits and gravy were not the best but the pancakes were good. My husband got the Country fried steak which he enjoyed. I wouldn't make the trip to this area just to have breakfast here but if I was in the area then yes I would return.

If you enjoy starting your day in a cozy paradise where the food arrives faster than my ability to hit snooze, this spot is a dream come true! The staff? Ridiculously friendly. Then came the chilaquiles. Oh. My. Goodness. Perfectly sauced, delightfully crunchy, and just the right level of satisfaction. The food landed on our table with lightning speed, preventing any chance of hanger-induced meltdowns.

The food and drinks were delicious. Service was okay, definitely could have been a lot better. They forgot my son's drink and never checked (he was practically done with his food when they finally brought it) as well as my side of country fried potatoes. I noticed a waitress went to the table in front of us and asked "what do you want!" Which was rude. But our waitress was friendly. The restaurant was cute and decorated nice.

It was ok only - the food can use improvement Enchiladas not tasty Chilaquiles are not even cut into tortilla chips it's the whole tortilla Service is not good The server is in a hurry and ignored my son when we asked for straws Lattes really really sweet First and last time

3/5 was probably the only good thing this morning

Came here to give it another try , it was an epic fail Service:5/5 the server kept coming around asking if everything was okay, I didn't want to be rude and ate what I could and left. I didn't have it in my heart to nag over a meal, this isn't for me. Ambiance was slow and quite as one of the first one there, what threw me off was the smell of wet mop & Urine , i couldn't even think straight looking at the menu and enduring the awful smell. Food: I ordered EL DIABLO OMELETTE with Country Potatoes, 3/5, what ever sauce was on my omelette gave me instant heartburn. But the potatoes were made crispy and well. One slice pancake which was 4/5 it help clean up the spicy sauce taste in my mouth I had the matcha latte which tasted horrible not even going to rate it, its diabolical to even have that on the menu, tasted like fruity pebbles cereal with more sugar, one sip & I kindly asked for the receipt to pay. Again many people like this place but it's not everyone's cup of tea, as for me it's a no. Disclaimer: I'm sure other dishes are delicious and but looking at other reviews it looks appetizing. This order did make me throw up afterwards...just like my first time here, unsure why. Thank you for your service and may others continue to support your restaurant

Can't say I've ever had soupy wet huevos rancheros before coming here. The bottom of my plate was a mixture of some mystery liquid and the extra grease from the chorizo, and this was before I had mixed the egg yolk. I ate about half before I couldn't take anymore. The chilaquiles weren't much better. They were cold when the plate hit our table. What makes it worse is that all of our food came out very fast, meaning the food likely was sitting out for some time before we ordered. Thankfully our coffee and coffee flight was decent. I can't find a single reason to return.

We had been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm so glad we did. We found new place to go to. The food was delicious and the ambience is so fun and welcoming. The staff was great and even when there was a mess up with my order, they fixed it right away and comped the sodas to make up for it. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a fun, affordable breakfast/lunch spot.

    CHICKEN AND WAFFLES
    Lola P.

We found this gem by chance on DoorDash while trying to figure out breakfast for the office. They have an extensive and almost overwhelming menu, especially when you're hungry. We decided on the Chicken and Waffles, the all meat omelet, pancake, and a side of biscuits and gravy. Food arrived quickly via DoorDash. When I received the bag I could smell the deliciousness. First the chicken and waffles- the chicken was so tender and juicy and crispy! The waffle was cooked perfectly. The omelet was huge and filling.. bacon, ham, sausage cheese, it was heavenly. I got the side of biscuits and gravy the biscuit was soft and buttery and the gravy tasted like one my Granny would make. I didn't expect such a huge portion, I was pleasantly surprised. The pancake was tasty, soft fluffy basic pancake. The order came with soft butter, ketchup, utensils, syrup, everything we could need without asking for it, which was awesome because I forgot to ask for them. So thanks for anticipating my needs :) the portions were big so my co worker and I could have shared and we probably will next time. We are so stuffed but still talking about that chicken and waffles. Overall it was a great breakfast and we will definitely be ordering again soon.

Really hate writing a mid review for a new business, but here we go. The pros: the ambiance is very nice, nice interior and decor with a modern diner feel. Service was okay, there was only really one waitress (it was not busy at all when I went) and I did have to flag down the server more than once for some water and utensils. The cons: the coffee is dispensed out of the machine and tastes terrible- bland and either way too sweet or not sweet enough. I got the the cinnamon dolce latte which was bland and not sweet, and my mom got the abuelita latte which was WAY TOO SWEET. We had to try to dilute it with more creamer but it didn't do anything. Do not get either of these items. 1/10. As for the food, it's mid at best. My chicken and waffles weren't anything special. Just breaded chicken tenders between two Belgian waffles. 6/10. My mom said her hash browns tasted funny, almost dirty like the pan or griddle they were cooked in wasn't properly cleaned. She said she wasn't impressed overall by the quality of the food - giving it a 4/10. Sadly, I hate to say we won't be returning. We wanted to try something new and support our local businesses but this place ain't it.

She comes from LA so we meet halfway. She is so nice and so friendly. She really won my heart! This is the second time we meet in Bakersfield. I had this place saved for a while now so I was excited for the visit there. We got there and they sat us almost right away. They have a cute lobby before the entrance to the restaurant. There is an old telephone booth and Christmas decorations. Johnny brought us the menu and it was the lunch menu. I saw on line that they had some great food for breakfast and Te-see asked him about it. He told us they were still making breakfast so I got happy. I ordered a coffee with cream and he brought it in a little tray with the creamer on the side. The table was a little wobbly and the coffee spilled all over the tray. Luckily Te-see got that fixed with a sugar packet. Jonny brought me another tray with coffee and cream. Almost everything was plant base, some egg and chicken but definitely no red meat. Unless I didn't see it. So I ordered the chilaquiles rojos and my daughter the Happy-go-Lucky-bowl. Te-see got the torta española and slew got a pancake to shared. All the food came very fancy well presented. Almost like magazine perfect. I loved them. We were taking videos and pictures as we should like a truly Yelpers that we are. Haha! The food was so tasty and flavorful. I loved my chilaquiles. They were perfect for my palate. They were crunchy and still with the flavor of the sauce. So delicious. They came with a little bowl of beans from the olla. (Freshly cooked) Te-see mention that her torta española was great as well. It came with some green salad. And it did really look so good. My daughter got the Happy-go-lucky-bowl. I was surprised she liked it. It was so beautiful presented. Sorry I already mention that. But yes it was pretty. There was berries melon, pineapple. She said it was really good and filling. She couldn't finish it. The pancake we order to share was so healthy made with all the good grains like chia, hemp seed, brown rice, oat flour. So good. It had some bananas and berries on top. Really delicious. I want to go back again just writing about it. I may go back and order different things from the menu. The bathrooms are very clean. It's not a shock that this is one of the TOP places to eat on Yelp's Central Valley - South list. You'll immediately notice Scrambled's Yelp award at the check-in table. Here's why they have an award: Upon arrival, you'll notice Bakersfield locals come here. We waited about 20 mins as it was quite full inside and we arrived during a Saturday morning (on Valentine's Day). All sorts of guests visit, families, couples, seniors etc. I overheard the regulars say there's excellent mimosas here, I didn't try them but they looked good. Each patron had something positive to say and had a fun little story about their visit to Scrambled. As for my meal, my Mom and I both got cafe de olla which is essentially a Mexican blend of coffee with a hint of cinnamon. Fantastic! Next, I knew this place was known for its Mexican breakfast AND scrambles, so I decided to try the best of both worlds. I ordered a chile verde scramble. The flavor was really good, everything felt homemade. The meat could've been slightly more juicy, but everything worked so well I didn't mind it. The ambiance was moderately noisy, yet relaxed. I got an authentic cafe vibe here as my Mom and I were able to hold a conversation without having to raise our voices. My Mom said she got an authentic Mexican cafe vibe, I can see it! Everyone was super sweet and professional, I felt right at home.
