Spencer's is a local establishment. They have multiple locations around town but this own is very close to our home. It's a great choice for breakfast or lunch. Service is always on point. I don't think I've ever had my coffee refilled so fast in my life. They have a nice cozy feel, where almost every table is a booth at this specific restaurant. It's great for 1-2 or ever larger parties. They'll make it work for you, no matter how big your party is, especially when they have the banquetesque style room in the back. The food has never disappointed. Cooked to order and just a tip, to order any of your potato options at breakfast well done. They some times also have a bbq going outside for lunch and the occasional dinner. Overall the food is great, the atmosphere is nice and the service is excellent. I would also touch on this place being about the average, price wise, when compared to other local breakfast establishments but the CRAZY $3.00 "admin charge" to pay with a card is a little over the top. So my advise would be to"BRING CASH"

Had not been to Spencer's in a while so I was excited for our retiree group to attend this months breakfast at Spencer's. I ordered the chile verde omelette as that's how I like to compare cooks and variations at various diners The presentation good. The chile verde was not as tender as most breakfast places. The country potatoes were good enough but my friends said their hash browns were lacking and not cooked all the way through. Service was PERFECT. Overall not a bad day but for $17.50 I'd like tender, cut with a fork pork chunks. 3.5 stars but I'll round up and be back to try the chile verde again.

Amazing food, quick and friendly service! I wish they had a patio! But the inside is fine and a classic that people are used to. If it ain't broke!

Pretty good breakfast place! I think my only thing I gotta say was the portion size maybe? I guess I was kinda thrown off guard by the size of the omelette was when I thought it would be bigger. Same goes for the pancakes. Everything was delicious but we just wish the portion size was a bit bigger considering they were about $16-18. Our servers were very nice and attentive and we were seated right away when we arrived at around 9:30am! And the food came out very quick, maybe less than 15 min?

I took my mother's to Spencer's for breakfast last week. This is my first time since they changed their hours. We ordered a ham and cheese omelette and a hobo omelette. Mother loved her hash browns and our omelets were delicious. Serve was just ok and my order came out wrong so she ate her breakfast while I watched but I would return.

As always the restaurant is clean and well cared for. The staff is prompt, polite and friendly. My server was Lindsey who was great. You always see a lot if regulars here, which speaks well of both staff and food. I like that they bring the flatware in a paper case, which keeps it cleaner & sanitary. I ordered the Caesar Salad lunch special with Sautéed Salmon. They serve a generous portion of skin on salmon filet that is lightly dusted with a Creole/Cajun seasoning. The skin is crispy and the salmon moist. The Caesar dressing tastes a bit more like an Italian vinaigrette, but is tasty. It's topped with fresh shredded Parmesan, lovely ripe fresh tomatoes and croutons. It is placed on a generous bed of dressed Romaine lettuce. The price is $17 which, in my opinion, an appropriate price for the serving. If you are looking for a delicious home style meal with good service Spencer's is on the list.

My friends and I come through here 1-2 times a year. We eat here primarily because the food is good. Never had food here we didn't like.I can't really say the service is all that great. I feel like because we aren't regulars that we don't get good service. Takes a bit to get started, ordered, anything else... the servers sure are quick to drop that check and NOT buss the table. I'm a server myself. And it's beyond me when they don't take dirty dishes out of the way. Not sure if we may return.

Spencer's on Rosedale is one of those places that, once you enter, you immediately feel at home. It's got that typical cafe vibe. While Spencer's is probably known for their breakfasts, it was lunchtime. We picked the Avocado Swiss Chicken Sandwich. Our server, Loren, brought out our hot tea for my wife and lemonade for me. The food plate was not far behind. They seasoned the bread with a garlic-cheese seasoning and it was very good. The chicken was tender and juicy. And, the sandwich was built like a sandwich should be - with plenty of bacon and a large dose of avocado. The hefty serving of french fries that came with made sure we didn't leave hungry. There is a regular menu, a senior menu and a lunch special menu, so you'll never grow tired of coming to Spencers. This place is a friendly restaurant that has a good value. Our bill was just shy of $21 before tip.

If you love breakfast foods, you definitely can't go wrong by going here. I always struggle with what to choose because everything is so good! If you have a sweet tooth, the B-N-W waffle which has banana, Nutella, and walnuts for the toppings would be a great choice. The chilaquiles with any choice of meat is incredibly flavorful and one of my favorites on the menu. I also appreciate their extensive drinks menu as you can choose anything from a michelada to a latte. At this specific downtown location, the service is always great. The servers are friendly, attentive, and always make sure you're satisfied with your food/drinks.

We never been here so we just picked randomly on the menu! We got their Three Flight Mimosas with Original, Cranberry, & Strawberry. They were pretty good and refreshing. We also got the Banana and Berry Pancakes and made it a combo to get eggs and sausages in the side, the "Hot Mess" which is two pancakes, a waffle, a chicken, French toast, and an egg stacked on top of one another, and potatoes on the side! The food was amaaazing. Shout out to the chefs today because there was absolutely nothing wrong with the food. Seasoning was great, cooked great, it was filling, pancakes were soft, it hit the spot! And our waitress Crystal was the sweetest. She was doing a great job taking care of us and many others in the dining room. It was also kept clean, the employees made sure to clean up ASAP when someone left, they're all working hard. 10/10 experience.

The vibes in the new space are absolutely immaculate. There is so much more energy here, and the decorations are incredibly cute. It's the perfect backdrop for a killer meal. The Main Event: This time around, I went with the En Fuego Burger. This beast is loaded with a chile-spiced beef patty, pepperjack, sharp cheddar, thick-cut bacon, chipotle mayo, pepper relish, pickled jalapeños, and a mountain of fried jalapeños + onion strings. The Flavor Profile: This burger delivers on every level, but those fried onion strings were to die for. For the side, I got the sweet potato fries, which are served as big, thick-cut wedges. They come paired with a duo of spicy ketchup and a marshmallow dipping sauce. Switching between the two was amazing, the marshmallow sauce actually makes the fries feel like a dessert. The Drink: To wash it all down, I ordered the basil lemonade, and omg, I need to figure out how to recreate this at home. It's exactly what it sounds like, crisp, refreshing lemonade with a perfect herbal basil finish. The Verdict: If you loved their old spot, the new location takes everything to the next level. Between the upgraded atmosphere, the dessert-like fries, and that refreshing lemonade, I will absolutely be coming back here again and again.

I immediately noticed that my favorite dish, the shakshuka eggs, was no longer on the menu. Thinking it might just be a seasonal change, I decided to try something different. I ordered the carrot ginger soup, beet and goat cheese salad, and my usual favorite cocktail, the Pear Necessities. The cocktail was the first disappointment. It tasted completely different from what I've come to enjoy, none of the smoky mezcal flavor and none of the sweetness from the pear liquor that made it a favorite. I figured it might just be a new bartender and tried to brush it off. The carrot ginger soup was just okay. I found myself searching for both the carrot and ginger flavors, neither of which really stood out. The beet and goat cheese salad was fine, but it's hard to get too excited about a salad. Overall, the food felt subpar compared to what I've come to expect from Moo Creamery. The restaurant itself was also surprisingly loud, making conversation difficult and adding to the overall frustration. It was hard to get our waitress's attention throughout the meal, and service felt disjointed. The most disappointing moment came when we noticed my son's chicken strips and fries sitting on the counter for 13 minutes before they were finally brought to our table. By then, it was difficult not to question whether the food was still as fresh and hot as it should have been. We came in excited to experience the new location, but between the noisy atmosphere, inattentive service, and food that didn't live up to Moo Creamery's usual standards, we left feeling disappointed. Sadly, I probably won't be returning. It's hard to justify giving it another try when there are so many other restaurants in town that consistently deliver quality food, service, and a better overall dining experience.

SMITTENS STAPLE IS THEIR ABILITY TO MISS THE FLAVOR IN EVER SINGLE DISH…read more Update: coming back after some palate development... smitten is one of the most tasteless restaurants in town. Their hype was definitely due to the 'aesthetic'. Nothing is really outstanding to me. The drinks are such a let down, the coffee is borderline yuck.. do not recommend. Everything is quite unmemorable. Service is whatever, sometimes mid, sometimes bad. Nothing outstanding. Ambiance.... well... this one has been replicated one too many times. The food is heavily missing flavor, the hummus is disgusting. I can't believe they call that thing hummus, it's an insult to actual dish.. it's almost like it was trying to imitate the real dish, but failed terribly in even attempting to. Their pizza tasted like play-doh and looked very pale. Smitten is at least consistent with one thing, which is their staple: no flavor. One of the breaking points for me was being served food that had someone's HAIR. The restaurant is very expensive for the poor experience they have to offer. I stopped recommending them a long time ago.
