Plus, because it was Cinco de Mayo, everything was only $5. We ordered the bean dip and flour chips along with two chicken tacos. It's a friendly atmosphere, but like a lot of places, it can get a little noisy. My wife tried the margarita and said it was a good $5 value. The service is friendly and casual. Easy seating and comfortable atmosphere. We headed to Rooster's Friday night around 7:30pm. There are several large TVs playing the games, and we were happy to see our team playing. We enjoyed watching while we were there. Brooklyn took care of us very well. She seemed to be a one woman show. Rooster's was well staffed and maybe others could have been pitching in for each other, but I don't know their system. A gentleman stopped by our table at one time to see if we needed suggestions and also stopped by after we ate to make sure everything was okay, but he didn't introduced himself or what he did there so it was a little confusing when we first met him. Everyone was friendly and welcoming! The food was just what we needed. The drinks were spot on. I asked for a margarita and appreciated that Brooklyn explained they offered a George Strait margarita with his tequila. It was very good. We ordered the Friday special steak fajitas, asada nachos and a burger and fries. Everything we ordered was well made and delicious. I also added some photos from happy hour a couple weeks ago. The food is delicious and the beans have a nice consistency and flavor. I learned that Rooster's has been here for about a year. There is clearly a lot of passion for this place and the items on the menu allow for everyone to find something they will enjoy. Stop by and enjoy all they have to offer! read more

Well was hoping for a killer experience but unfortunately the food fell short. We decided to hit Roosters before the Yelp Elite event tomorrow.The service was great. We decided to sit at the bar just to enjoy the TV and the action. The bar tenders were awesome. Spot on in service and drinks. The order was taken and received in a timely matter. I ordered the Asada Taco's on the happy hour menu. When they arrive The server explained that she made a mistake and out the order in as a dinner not happy hour. SO we got rice and beans as well. They were plump and hot. Unfortunately the meat was tuff and chewy. The refried bean seem mohave been spooned right out the can. The chicken taco's were much better. This is a nice little place to grab a bite to eat if you are out and about in the downtown area hanging out, they have a limited menu with Mexican food the dining area is not to big I'm sure it can get very crowded and packed, they have a full bar with a wide range of bar seating, the service is pretty good, the happy hour is great 6 dollar whiskey and Coke and a House Margarita and a few appetizers the salsa is very fresh and delicious, the main course items have good flavors but nothing out of this world, if you are in the area out having some drinks at the local bars that are downtown stop by and have a few more drinks and get some food. Incredible spot with great food and drinks. The mural on the wall is iconic Bako with a 19th street view of Roosters Honkytonk. The interior is well done and they have outside seating for cooler months. The staff are energetic and friendly. Manuel is in the kitchen pumping out comfort food. If you like country music it's a decent place to go I recommend going to the back bar because the front bartender wasn't very friendly and I was with a person who is handicapped and they acted like we were tainted or something just not a very welcoming place for handicapped patrons on a night with live band ! had a good experience the first time I went there. environment was nice and not crazy busy and the food was pretty good. the second time I saw a woman tell one of the waitresses, a short pink haired lady, that her drink wasnt made correctly and I literally witnessed her take the drink back behind the bar, remix it and proceeded to spit in the drink and hand it back to customer! I was able to tell the woman to not drink it before she sipped it thankfully. i payed and left after that and I will never go back. I don't care what her problem was but that is absolutely disgusting behavior. read more
