Wow, this place was incredible! I thoroughly loved every dish that I tried. From the scallops, to the mushrooms, to the incredibly cooked steak, and the star the crab cavatelli pasta, I have no words other than to try this hidden gem. It's the perfect spot for a date night, just note it's very tiny and dimly lit so it's very intimate. A huge thank you to our server Ernesto for recommending several of the dishes. Each dish was tastier than the next. The menu is tiny and so is the wine selection, but it's perfect for narrowing down the best of the best. We also ordered a red Tempranillo wine which paired heavenly with steak. We tried all three of the desserts that day and the best one had to be the baklava, which is unfortunately not pictured. It was creamy, crunchy and flaky all at the same time, all the best textures for a dessert. What a great experience with friends.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this ..To Be Determined is hands down one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Everything about it was incredible. The only "flaw," if you can even call it that, is the size. It's a tiny, dimly lit space with only about nine tables. But honestly, that's part of what makes it so special. It's tough to get a reservation, but the intimacy of the space turns it into the perfect fine dining or date night experience. The menu is small with around 15 items and changes every two weeks, which totally fits the name and keeps things exciting. We started with the miso corn and tiger prawns, and let me tell you, who knew corn could taste that good? Whatever miso butter they use is magic. The tiger prawns were huge, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor in that zesty Aji Amarillo sauce. For mains, we went with the crab cavatelli pasta and the 14 oz ribeye. Both were out of this world. The pasta came out steaming hot and garnished with bonito flakes that moved from the heat ..the wildest and coolest touch! And the steak!? Cooked to absolute perfection. So tender, so flavorful, and those whipped potatoes... there are no words for those. The black rice dish was another surprise, layered with octopus on the bottom also so unique and delicious. Dessert sealed the deal. We tried two of the three options..the flan and the apple strudel. Both were phenomenal, but the flan stole the show. It was airy, light, and unlike any typical flan you've had. Trust me, don't skip it. Every single dish left such an impression that after each bite, we couldn't stop thinking about the one before it. It was that good. In fact, we've already made reservations for next month and can't wait to see what new seasonal items hit the menu next. That's how incredible this place is. Lastly, Shoutout to Ernesto for being such a great waiter!

The service here was amazing. Our server explained all the dishes individually. The concept behind the restaurant is very interesting because they change their menu every 2 weeks. I like that because you get to try something new every time you visit. My favorite dish out of everything we tried was the Branzino. It was a good portion and the sauce was very flavorful. The bread to start off was soft and the miso butter had a maple essence to it. The other dishes were good but the portions were a bit smaller. Everything was still good. The corn was served in the husk which was interesting, it tasted like Mexican elote. The octopus was good, my favorite part was the Thai coconut foam. I wish the dish had more of the foam on it. They only serve beer and wine, I'm guessing they don't have an liquor license yet so they haven't added cocktails. The dessert was a flan, it tastes like a crema de catalana. I will definitely come back to try more dishes since the menu is always changing.

I didn't really know what to expect when we booked our reservation, all I can say is it exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed this entire experience from the ambiance, to our waiter Ernesto, who was so welcoming and knowledgeable, to most importantly the food. We ordered a variety of different options to share amongst the table. To start we had their bread with curry butter and beef tartare. Both had a little kick that was unexpected, I am sensitive to spice, but it was so good it was nothing I couldn't handle. For our next round we had the blue oyster mushrooms, lump crab cavatelli, and the pork chop. My favorite of the three was the cavatelli. It was so fun to see the food "moving" and the taste is was really sold me. My personal favorite of the night was the flan. We were told it would "melt in your mouth" and it truly did. I've never had a flan like this. I think the flan usually stays on the menu. I hope the next time I go back it's still there!

I was thoroughly impressed by this restaurant. It is hidden off of a busy street in the Gables and is very unassuming. The inside is pretty dark. It is candle lit and very nice for a romantic dinner. It is not too loud and there's music playing that's instrumental. All of the waiters and waitresses were very accommodating and were fast at bringing our food The menu here rotates every two weeks and the wine and beverage menu rotates every six weeks. The dishes are pretty diverse however they're really aren't too many vegetarian options. At least for when I went we got the lump crab cavatelli. That was easily one of my favorite dishes that I've had in all of Miami. I would absolutely get it again. It was so flavorful not too spicy, but everything really harmonized. Well, we also got the steak which I thought was very well seasoned however the portion for the sweet potato was almost laughable. It was just one 2 x 2" Piece of sweet potato. My favorite desert was the Venezuelan pintas. It came with a decadent latte ice cream.

I'm probably being a bit unfair in this review, penalizing the restaurant for what was my choice. I ordered a bottle of pretty good Argentinian wine (7/10). However, I probably should have ordered a glass of red and white based on the meal. I was influenced by our server, but I know better. Also a note, my guest was a bit surprised by the location and asked, are we safe? Having said that, let's go! We ran the menu except for the corn. The bread, which we both thought was a burger, was a nice surprise. Pillowy and seasoned nicely (8/10). The salt was a bit agressive for my taste, which was a running note throughout the night. Another nice surprise were the oysters (10/10, my favorite dish of the night). There were so many flavors and they all worked. I also enjoyed the scallop dish (9/10), which was surrounded by a leche de tigre that was a great compliment. When I heard the description, I thought this isn't going to work. Chef proved me wrong. Be sure to include the finely chopped veg hidden under the mound of scallops in your bite. My nine is because raw fish should be cold, not kinda cold. The shrimp were a surprise miss for me (5/10). Something about the cook was off. Unlike every other dish, there was a lack of flavor here which would have been okay if the smoke was more pronounced. The calamari dish was okay. I'm looking at the picture I took and the most memorable component were the tiny black beans (I think it was a bean.) The infamous cavatelli dish lived up to the dancing dish hype (8/10). Flavors in my mind that shouldn't work together kinda did. An eight because I'm still deciding if I really liked those flavors together. The black rice dish was good, but had it's issues (7/10). There could have been a bit more of the buried protein, and after two bites it turned very gummy, a bit like glue. I imagine this dish is pretty difficult to perfect each and every time. I think I'm missing a couple pictures. The steak was fine. I was surprised I couldn't order it medium rare. I was told chef only cooks it medium. The flan was the hit that everyone says it is 10/10. It very well may be the best in Miami, as my server stated. The apple tart . . . if you're not an apple fan, don't bother. The in-house made ice cream was another nice surprise with a flurry of flavors that make your taste buds work overtime. The service was good. I was surprised that fresh tasting plates took a bit longer to appear than I would have liked. The hype is real, with a bit of clever marketing, as my menu was identical to many of those I read about in reviews. I'm glad I went. I don't need to go back. When I pay for a unique dinner out, I do expect a bit more. The highs were high, but the average aspects were a bit too average.

We came here with very high expectations because this place came highly recommended--and while there were some excellent moments, the overall experience was disappointing. Let's start with the good: the restaurant is cozy and nicely designed, and some dishes really delivered. The black rice, pork, and bluefin tuna were all very good. The standout was the quesillo--hands down the best flan we've ever had. Unfortunately, several things went wrong. Parking is extremely limited, and when we called to ask for suggestions nearby, the person on the phone was dismissive. I get that it's a small place, but courtesy matters. Even with a reservation, we waited almost an hour to be seated. Delays happen, but that's excessive. While waiting, we were offered "complimentary" drinks at the bar, which later appeared on our bill--never a good look. As for the recommended dishes, they were underwhelming. The ribeye was cooked well, but the sauce didn't work. The prawns were just okay and nothing special. The lump crab cavatelli was bland, and even the house wine was forgettable. Overall, the concept is good and there's potential here, but between the long wait, service issues, and uneven food, it just wasn't enough for us. At this price point, we expected a lot more.

I woke up this morning thinking about my dinner last night at To Be Determined, which I have decided was the best meal I have had in 2025 thus far. My girlfriends and I snagged a 6 pm resi, and were so excited to try TBD. We had heard great things about this new spot tucked away off 32 and Coral Way, and it did not disappoint. Our server, Elloy (I hope I spelled that right) was so welcoming and explained the concept. The small menu rotates every two weeks, and while it features similar style of dishes it depends on what the chef is interested in making and availability of ingredients. The menu has about 8 things for dinner and 2 desserts. Our group of three ordered 7 items on the menu and all were absolutely divine. Brian the Sommelier recommended a spanish white wine for us, which we enjoyed. We ordered: +Salad +Crudo +Octopus +Lump Crab Cavatelli +Risotto +Lubina +Oysters I know that the dishes we ordered will likely not be on the menu by the time someone is reading this review, but I do need to acknowledge that while everything was amazing the Cavatelli may make its way to my top bites of the year. It was the perfect mix of textures and flavors and we all agreed it was the star of a very solid lineup. The octopus was also cooked to perfection along with the Lubina which is like a cousin of Branzino and came with a black garlic hollandaise. This spot is cozy, and I would suggest to go in a group of at least 3 or 4 so that you can share many things from the menu. The portions are a good size and we did not leave hungry but also did not leave overly full. While the menu changes often so you may not know what you will be getting when you go, just know the team here is so passionate about creating a memorable dining experience with the wine, food, vibes and service so you are in for a treat. They do not take walk ins because of how they organize their dining experience but you can walk in to have a glass of wine at the bar if they aren't fully booked. Totally loved this and the only thing left to be determined for me about this spot is when I am booking my next resi back! Congrats on something very special, folks.

We wanted to celebrate two big wins; my new job and my boyfriend's recent deal close, so after some research, I landed on TBD. Neither of us had ever been, but the reviews were glowing and it seemed like the perfect spot for a special night. We booked an 8:15 reservation for Saturday. The entrance immediately sets a mood. Tucked in an unexpected location, the foyer (for lack of a better term) is dimly lit with terrazzo floors, a long bar, and mid-century mod vibes. It felt like we were about to have a moment. We were then led into an even darker dining room: minimalist, with teeny-tiny tables and a dramatic black curtain covering the wall. We ordered a bottle of German Chardonnay, which ended up being one of the highlights of the night. I hate oaky California Chardonnays, but the Sommelier promised this one was different and he was SO RIGHT. Bright, crisp, and perfectly chilled! I loved it. Since the menu is designed for sharing, we tried a little bit of everything: oysters, shaved pear and fennel salad, hamachi crudo, Chilean sea bass and my favorite, the Crab Cavatelli. Each dish was inventive and well-executed. Flavor-wise, everything hit. That said, you could definitely tell it's a new spot. The space still needs some fine-tuning. Our tiny table was awkwardly wedged into a corner by the bathrooms, with my boyfriend's seat practically in the main walkway. And instead of using a wine stand, they placed the ice bucket directly on our already overcrowded table which made the small-plate sharing a little chaotic. The service was warm and attentive, and the food and wine made up for the awkward layout, but the physical discomfort did affect the experience. Still, I'm rooting for them. Once they work out those kinks, I'd definitely come back.

To Be Determined has a clean, minimalist aesthetic that works well--simple but stylish. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a great wine recommended by the sommelier. Unfortunately, our order was initially mixed up, and while it wasn't a huge issue, it did delay the food. The rotating menu concept is interesting, but the pricing didn't quite match the experience. $17 for corn with average flavor felt steep, and overall, the food didn't justify the high price point. It seems like one of those Miami spots hyped by influencers more for its vibe than its food. We stumbled upon it by chance and were intrigued, but based on this first visit, I'm not sure I'd return. There are plenty of places in the same price range that offer better value and more satisfying dishes.

Wow. This has to one of my favorite meals of this year. When you walk in, you are greeted and see this intimate, dimly lit place. There are few tables in the back dining room. Because of the size of this place, it feels very VIP. We had tried to come the night before but there was an issue in the kitchen so they rescheduled us for the following day and wow did they make up for it!! To begin, the bread... THE BREAD. The butter wa incredible and the bread was coated in honey. The oysters were incredibly and had a little kick to them. The crisp flavors were all so random but together they were magical: frozen raspberries, hamachi, ponzu, strawberry hoisin. The lump crab cavatelli was phenomenal. Very cool to see how the tuna shavings almost dance to the heat. The ribeye was probably the best steak I've had all year hands down. Flavorful, tender, buttery, incredible.

absolutely fabulous. this chef driven restaurant is everything i love about food. if you appreciate elevated dishes done at a high level, this is for you. however this place is not for you if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. you show up, you trust the process and you enjoy and trust the chef. we had excellent service at the bar. highly recommend. i love how they turned a small little space into a culinary journey. thanks so much for a lovely date night, will 100% be back since the menu is always changing.

I've seen numerous great reviews here and on social media for this place but it feels like Emperors New Clothes syndrome. I truly do not understand what everyone sees or tastes in this place, which is sad because I was so excited for this place to open up, hoping it would be a neighborhood gem. Like a gem, it is expensive but sadly it's not the neighborhood spot I was hoping for that I could frequent for easy date nights or when I was not in the mood to cook. The food while tasty, is not worthy of its extremely high price tag and it's not as welcoming as I hoped overall. Their menu changes regularly but is very limited so if you have any food restrictions you may find your options limited. As non shellfish eaters, our choices here were just that. I've visited twice, on our first visit they had just opened and my partner and I shared the cavatelli and enjoyed a glass of wine each. The pasta was good but the sauce was not better than what I can cook at home and it was plated in a way that immediately lost its heat. This is a huge pet peeve of mine when pasta is served on a large flat plate as it cools down immediately, and while it was good warm it quickly lost its appeal as it cooled. I don't remember much about the white wine we had. I think it was 11 or 12 dollars and they only had 3 or 4 choices at the time. We visited again this month and I was further unimpressed since they now have been open for over 3 months. They are on Resy now and had no reservations available but since we live close we decided to stop by to see if they had walk in seating. They said we could sit at the bar only which was fine, I'm happy to sit at the bar normally but there was some condensation from the ceiling that landed on us. Meanwhile others came in without reservations and were offered tables. We decided not to order wine as the cheapest glass was now 15 dollars for a 20 dollar bottle of wine. We shared the fennel pear salad and the risotto. The way the salad was served felt like they were mocking me, on a giant plate with only half of the plate filled. Not that I was so impressed with the flavors of the salad that I wanted more but for 17 dollars, one might expect a decently sized salad. The pear was sliced so thin I could barely taste it and I think there may have been only one pear for the entire restaurant. On a positive note, the risotto was delicious, very creamy, the perfect al dente bite, and with perfectly cooked steak on top. Sadly again, there was very little of it. As far as service goes, no one asked us how our meal was until the end and when I mentioned being disappointed in the salad, my comment wasn't even acknowledged. I'm truly confused what the hype is over this place. Of the three dishes I had, I was only really impressed with the taste of one, but even so it did not warrant its steep price. I would perhaps expect that type of price for a place in an extremely expensive or touristy part of town. Off of Coral Way I don't understand it; the atmosphere while cosy is not upscale. The bartender mentioned that they were perhaps inspired by Japanese vibes but having just returned from a trip to Japan I was not reminded of any the wonderful bars or izakaya we dined at. For folks needing to try the newest place and having the means to do so you may find a dish or two you enjoy here if you are able to try several but if you are looking to appreciate good food without overpaying this isn't the place.

Super friendly waiters and an amazing kitchen make this restaurant a great experience every time you come here. The menu isn't big but it truly has everyone's favorite dishes. Tacos, sopes, enchiladas, mole and many, many more. The key is everything is made fresh daily. The al pastor tacos, green enchiladas, birria and the mole sauce are all incredibly delicious. Try their micheladas and also the spicy margaritas (both super good). The restaurant ambiance is very cozy and inviting. Its simple but nicely decorated. Give it a try.

We showed up around 3pm on a Sunday and waited about 30 minutes, which felt fair once we realized how small and cozy the place is. Seating is limited, so a bit of patience helps. The food delivered--everything was solid--and the service moved along at a nice pace without feeling rushed. The only real headache? Parking. It's pretty tight and can take some circling to snag a spot. All in, a really enjoyable lunch and definitely worth a return visit... maybe just with a parking strategy next time.

We went here between January 27 & February 6/2026. La Potranca has five Florida locations, but this cantina does not feel like a chain. Authentic sabor Mexicano with an excellent friendly staff. Family friendly & handi-able accesible from the parking lot. This location gets full by 7pm but there is extended service & seating in the common covered courtyard. Also a variety of margaritas served in whimsical glasses & their three house cervazas (beers) on draft. La Potranca pays homage to iconic singer & actor Vincente Fernandez "King of Ranchera". Check out the interesting connection with the staff or online. The staff here is excellent. Very helpful when navigating the menu. Very friendly. True professionals. Special shout out to Mauricio & Ralphael - you hombres make this place truly special. Mucho Gracias. We give La Potranca our highest recommendation. The hardest part about dining here was deciding what I wanted to order. I could have ordered the entire menu it looked so good! Helpful tip... check out the menu and know what you're going to order before you get in line. Otherwise you're going to be pressured to order at the front of the line. When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum! The real star of the show for me was this unassuming looking House Club Sandwich that was to die for. Seriously ... it was so good. I ordered mine without the ham, and it was divine! I wish i lived closer. I'm already dreaming of coming back. My son ordered some kind of short rib/beef burrito and it disappeared so quickly I didn't even get to snap a photo. This is a perfect spot to enjoy a great meal, I highly recommend it. One thing I can say is that it's on the pricey side. $113 lunch for 2 added up super fast but it was well worth it. I'll be dreaming of that sandwich til my next visit!

I ordered the mahi mahi tacos, and while they tasted ok, the portion size felt pretty small for the price. Overall, it came across as a bit overpriced for what you get. The service style is more casual and self-directed. You order and pay at the register, get a number, and then find your own seat while they bring the food out to you. Water is self-serve, and once you're done with your meal, you just head out. There's minimal interaction with staff, which might appeal to people who prefer a more low-key, independent dining experience or want a place to sit and work without being interrupted. That said, the service did not feel very friendly or welcoming. And personally, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.

I had to change my order to go but the ambience was cool, music wasn't too loud. My only issue was that there wasn't any fish options on the menu. The staff was able to get a big table for our group right next to the window so we can enjoy the Calle Ocho people watching as well. This was a continuation of my recovery Sunday, and I'm glad that the menu had a larger variety than the previous stop. Our server started by bringing us complementary perfectly crispy chips and both green and red salsa. The red one, my favorite, was nicely spicy. The cochinita pibil order, garnished with pickled red onions, came out first as well as a delicious queso fundído I got to sample. My order was a very generous plate of chicken fajitas, with red refried beans and grilled veggies. Amplified by the salsa & pico, it was well flavored and sizeable enough that it can be had for takeout. As far as something, sweet, I had their batido de trigo (puffed wheat shake). It was refreshing and not excessively sweet. I definitely recommend this place!

We were starving and ordered quickly, got our food after just a few short minutes along with two trays of sauces and fixings. The quesabirria was INSANELY delicious, and the tacos were too. Having stayed till closing of two music week events the prior to evenings, this was in my mind a great recovery meal. Despite the name, this restaurant is not just Mexican, but actually fusion with Uruguayan cuisine. The main courses focused on that area, and the tacos had a lot of exotica such as ear and tongue. Given my preferences, and my stomach, the only basic options that I would get were there Al Pastor and chicken tacos, five dollars each. The menu said that they had alcohol, but apparently not on that week, supposedly for some bureaucratic issue. The tacos were served with just the tortilla and the meat, along with a basket of fixings, such as cilantro and line. No complaints of the food really, the tacos were actually well seasoned and for my taste buds made even better with the hot sauce that left a yummy after burn. When I went to the bathroom, the handle on the door was damaged. Besides that, in the end I was not feeling the place especially that there was a mandatory gratuity.

The music selection is fire though and I was jamming out the whole time while waiting for my food. I complimented them on the music selection and they mentioned the owner is dominican and puerto rican which explained the great music selection. I was helped out by Adrian and his service was helpful in finding what dishes to order. I took my food to go and it was piping hot, definitely made fresh to order which I enjoyed. The nachos were what I was most eager to try as they are all the rage on social media. They lived up to the hype and that nacho cheese is absolute gold. I love that it's served in a pizza box. It just makes it iconic. It travels well and everything was still hot when I got home. The Al Pastor taco was just okay, nothing to write home about but now the steak burrito was really really good. I love that they don't have rice in their burritos and instead replace it with potatoes, which is absolutely delicious. They give two different types of salsas with your order plus limes and the green salsa is unreal. Add it to everything for a flavor boost! All in all this place is fire and if you're craving nachos, this is definitely the place you should come to get your fix!
