Had brunch at Mayfair Grill for the Grove Brunch Club. We got a complimentary glass of mimosa. Lovely ambiance in the courtyard area. We sat outside by the waterfall. The live music added a nice touch. I had the egg and chicken sausage breakfast sandwich. It came with a side of potatoes. It was yummy and the breakfast potatoes were very flavorful. Service was also great.

Enjoyed the experience here for brunch. The ambiance is nice and live music was available too. The service was good as well. We had the fried egg sandwich with hash browns, a waffle, and a side of bacon.

Rapicavoli does it again! Great place to have taken over, so much personality! Have been itching to come here for a few weeks and decided to make it happen first weekend of the year. Walked right in on Sunday like at 1:30 p.m. and there's was plenty of seating at the bar and inside, but I chose to sit outside in the main "atrium" looking area of the hotel. Was given a nice spot facing the hotel interior that made me think of Morocco, and it set the mood perfectly. As soon as I was approached by my server I was given a compliment about my vibes lol, which I very much appreciated. Here's my chowdown: - Cafe Colada - Black Truffle & Potato Croquetas - Carajillo - Iberico Steak & Eggs - Bananavardier My server recommended much of what I ended up ordering, so kudos to Emily for the great recs. The brunch menu features the two coffee cocktails I ordered. The Colada has that "punch" upon first sip, while the Carajillo has a sweetness to it. Different but both were good. Loved the croquetas in between the cocktails, just wish they were bigger. The Iberico Steak & Eggs is actually a pork churrasco and it did the job. The Bananavardier was ok, probably would go for something else next time ... don't feel like there was much banana to it. Next visit will be for dinner!

I really loved this place! The vibes and view of sitting outside in the hotel patio was my favorite! I celebrated my Birthday here and it was 10/10! Service was great for such a large group. They really accommodated to my party and made it feel so special! It was also great that they were able to split everyone's checks individually.

I had been to the Mayfair grill before but I wanted to try it again after the revamp of the menu. I came here on Halloween night and I was able to get a seat right at the bar. The bartender walked over to me and asked what kind of water I wanted and gave me the menus. I liked that the drink menu had a whole expresso section. I ended up going with an expresso martini made with tequila reposado and it did not disappoint. I also ordered the truffle potato croquets and the crudo. The crudo was the most memorable part. It is def a miami dish. I loved the combination of citrus with the tuna. I hadn't had something like that before. The ambiance was busy but still quiet. The food was fresh and the drinks were good. Perfect for a couple drinks and apps in the grove.

New brunch spot in the heart of Coconut Grove at the Mayfair Hotel. We were seated outside in the patio area with a gorgeous view and a live band. All of the plates were excellent. The show stopper was definitely the key lime pancakes with graham cracker, wow! Going back to try the steak frites and burger.

Cute restaurant located in the Mayfair House Hotel and Garden in Coconut Grove. I came here for a dinner and breakfast since I was staying at the hotel. The food is pretty good and the servers were super friendly. I had a different server for each meal, and they both separately went above and beyond to chat with me and offer helpful suggestions. The restaurant itself is trendy and if you sit in the garden, you're surrounded by lush tropical plants. It's got a nice vibe all around. If I ever stay at the hotel again, I would love to come back!

My husband and I ate here twice for breakfast during our stay at the hotel, and we were really impressed both times. The breakfast options are solid, and everything we ordered was delicious. The first day, I had the acai bowl, which was amazing--super fresh and filling. The second day, I tried the Belgian waffle, and it was just as good. Both were definitely worth the price! My husband went with the avocado toast on the first day, but for $20, we felt it should have come with at least two pieces of toast; it only came with 1! He wasn't too impressed with that, but the next day, he ordered the fried egg sandwich, and it was way better. He also got a side of sausage, which was incredible--definitely a standout. The side of bacon was standard, and the tea was just as expected. Overall, we really enjoyed our breakfasts here and would definitely return if we're ever back in the area!

Good restaurant for sure! The ambiance is a cool vibe especially inside and the food is good. The service was great and they were very careful with my allergies. We ordered the steak tartare to start and it was the best thing we had. The chicken was really good and the steak was good too with an interesting miso based sauce. The tostones were also good but I would probably order something else next time. The oyster mushroom was good just needed a little sauce or something. All in all I know this restaurant will be even more amazing as time passes because the chef is one of the best!

This place is amazing! The service is very friendly and the ambience is just right for a casual dinner or date night. The sound of the water is so relaxing in the background and you feel just tucked away and it's gorgeous little grotto within the hotel. It's dog friendly, and the food is delicious. So clean and expertly prepared. I had the scallops, the potato croquettes, and the dole whip daiquiri. Will definitely be back soon!

My friend and I waited near the hostess stand for a bit and felt overlooked as everyone was understandably focused on the situation. A simple "hello, welcome, we'll be right with you" would have gone a long way. Having worked in hospitality for many years, I know things happen behind the scenes, but guest communication is so important. After a short wait, the manager stepped in, apologized, and got us seated, which I really appreciated. From that point on, the service was excellent. Everyone was attentive and helpful, and I especially want to shout out the food runner, who was personable and made a great impression. One thing that could have been handled better: our server took our drink order but never mentioned happy hour. When we later asked for the menu, we were told it was only available at the bar. Since I use a wheelchair for mobility, getting onto a bar stool would have been difficult, so I felt that a more accessible accommodation should have been offered. You'll see in my video I was the 4 top right next to the bar. That said, the food was good, and I still had a nice time with my friend. With just a little more attention to communication and accessibility, this could have been an even better experience.

The enchiladas are also delicious. Again, a good size to share. We started off with some guac that was super solid. The space itself is really nice and has the perfect vibe for the Grove. I've been going to Koko since it opened, and until now I've always had great experiences…read more Unfortunately, my recent visit during the Mexico World Cup match was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. Before going, we called the restaurant to ask if they would be showing the World Cup games, and we were told they would be showing all of them. Based on that, we expected a good viewing experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There aren't enough TVs, many of the views are obstructed, and we actually had to move to the bar just to see part of the game. Even then, the music was so loud that we couldn't hear the match at all. When we asked the manager about it, he told us that ownership's instructions were to play music instead of the game's audio. That was especially surprising considering this is a Mexican-owned restaurant and the match was a Mexico World Cup game. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. To be fair, the restaurant was only about half full, so this wasn't a situation where the staff was overwhelmed by a packed house or unusually heavy demand. I was there with two female friends. I ordered a martini while my friends simply asked for water. The bartender reacted as if asking for water was somehow an inconvenience. We weren't even served chips and salsa until we repeatedly waved down members of the staff and specifically requested them. The bartenders consistently ignored us. My friends waited nearly 20 minutes before anyone came back so they could order their martinis. We later ordered guacamole and the Leña skirt steak. The guacamole arrived promptly, but the steak never did. When we asked another bartender to check on it, he looked in the system and told us there was no food order entered at all. This was unbelievable because the original bartender had described the dish, asked how we wanted the steak cooked, and appeared to take the order. He simply never entered it. When we complained to the manager about the missing food, he told us the kitchen was already closed but that he would "make an exception" and have the steak prepared for us. That response really upset me because this wasn't us asking for special treatment--it was the restaurant trying to correct its own mistake. I told him to simply cancel the order. He then said not to worry because he wouldn't charge us for it, as if not charging for a meal would somehow make up for the experience we had just endured. I declined the offer, but he responded by saying he would bring it anyway and that if we didn't want it, we could just leave it there. To me, that response was even more dismissive and completely missed the point. Throughout the evening, the bartenders were inattentive, dismissive, and consistently rude. Their attitude completely overshadowed what had always been one of my favorite restaurants in Coconut Grove. By halftime, we had simply had enough. Instead of continuing what should have been a fun night, we decided to leave the restaurant and go home, where we watched the rest of the Mexico match in the comfort of my home. Sadly, that turned out to be the best part of the night. I'm writing this review because I know Koko is capable of much better. My previous visits have always been enjoyable, which made this experience even more disappointing. However, if you're planning to watch a World Cup match there, I would strongly recommend choosing another venue. While they may tell you they'll be showing the game, the viewing experience is poor, the game audio is replaced with loud music, and based on our visit, the service was, without question, the worst I've experienced there since the restaurant opened. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously because Koko has always been one of my favorite restaurants, and I'd like to be able to recommend it again. Unfortunately, after this experience, I simply can't.

The restaurant sits next to the Coconut Grove marina, and is accessible by land or sea. The atmosphere always feels like you're on a Caribbean vacation. Our server was Iria and she was friendly, knowledgeable on the menu and perfectly attendant. She wasn't hovering over us but checked on us enough where we were perfectly taken care of. We started with an order of the peel & eat shrimp. This is seasoned with old bay and it was delicious; only complaint is they weren't cleaned very well, several of them were cut open but the "vein" was still very present. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, probably should give 3 but the rest really made up for it. For the main courses my bf had the seafood pasta which he said was good, although the sauce was a bit plain (he described it as having a ragu flavor). I had the Baja tacos at his suggestion and boy was it a good recommendation. It comes with 3 tacos and they are packed with fish. They were absolutely delicious. The tacos also come with a small side of elote which had a strong citrus flavor, absolutely delicious. All in all, I don't know why we don't come here more often but we will. Monty's should always be an option when the weather is right.

She walked us to a table that was about to be directly in the sun, so we politely asked if we could sit at the table right next to it instead. Keep in mind, the restaurant was not very busy at all. She immediately told us no with an attitude that was completely unnecessary and honestly set the tone for the entire experience. Then our server brought out our $9 non-alcoholic drinks, and one of the glasses had what looked like actual dirt all around the rim. We pointed it out and asked to switch it for a tea instead. When he brought the tea, he explained that the "dirt" was supposedly just from the watermelon. It was 1000% dirt. Regardless of what they want to call it, the glass was visibly dirty and should never have been served to a customer. After that, our server barely came back to check on us. To make matters worse, when we received the bill, they had actually charged us for the drink we sent back because the glass was dirty. The food was below average as well, especially the fish dip. The non-alcoholic teas are also $9 each, which is insane considering the quality and overall experience. The entire establishment felt dirty and poorly taken care of, and the staff seemed more interested in standing in the corner gossiping than checking on their customers. This was our first time here, and we absolutely will not be coming back. The current 3.3-star rating is generous. Whoever owns or manages this place seriously needs to reevaluate the level of service and cleanliness because this experience was unacceptable. 0/10.

Now there is a huge downside that you immediately encounter when you arrive. The parking lot is exceptionally small and people are parked every which way, except in the spaces. Getting to the actual building will take some time. The neighboring lots have pretty clear signs that they will tell you if you park there. So you're stuck dealing with what it is. The fish variety is good, although not great. If you're looking for strictly local fish, you'll probably find what you want. Several varieties of snapper and the fish looked wonderful and fresh. Some of my favorites like hogfish and grouper. You can buy the whole fish and they'll fillet it for you or you can buy fillets if they have them of the fish that you want. But the part I missed is having them cook it for me. Now that is something I would like to try next time The downside is they strictly local fish. You won't find any flatfish and I was surprised that they did not have any U4 or U6 shrimp which I like to use to make paella. In addition, I did not see fresh scallops. They did have some nice lobster tails although I did not see other shellfish. Some people have said the prices are reasonable; I found them about 20 to 30% higher than other fish markets I visit. The people here are really nice in the market is attractive. I will be back as I said to get a meal cooked for me in part because it is closer than the fish markets I usually visit and also my curiosity after reading other reviews. I recommend this market if you have the patience to wait for a parking space. If you're looking for the larger shrimp for paella look elsewhere
