La Cabrera in Coconut Grove started out with good service but this went dwindling due to more tables filling up and not enough servers to attend to them. Food was good and everyone in our party enjoyed their dishes, I have to admit I missed the complimentary tasters provided by the chef at the restaurant in the Midtown location, there the attention was excellent. The restaurant ambiance is nice, it' feels quaint in comparison to the one located in Midtown. Overall it' was a nice experience but could have been improved if we had had better service.

Finally came to check out this place and omg you guys so good. Service friendly and super attentive. Very clean and comfy place. Drinks came with some bread, butter, and olives in oil. Then our entrees which consisted of grill octopus over some grill veggies. Also, fillet mignon with mashed potatoes and finished it off with desserts caramel crepes and crème brûlée. Exquisite, everything was simply delicious.

Checked out their Miami spice lunch menu, which is definitely worth it. The service is great and the food is brought out pretty quickly. They have a great variety of options on their menu, allowing you to try different items for a reasonable price. I really enjoyed their steak. The inside is also decorated well. I'd highly recommend checking this place out and will likely be back.

I had seen La Cabrera open up in the Grove and on Friday I went with my dad to try it. This is a restaurant from Buenos Aires and they specialize in grilled meats. Yum. The complimentary bread is delish with olives and a salsa de tomate. There is also a complimentary appetizer that has different dips, which I did not care for. We started with the morcilla and chorizo and also got a 14 oz NY strip and an arugula salad. The salad didn't come with dressing, which I thought was odd, but they do have olive oil and vinegar on the table so that worked perfect for a simple salad. We had also ordered the penne with pesto cream sauce. This was my least favorite dish of the night as it was pretty flavorless. I'm thinking this is a spot to indulge more on quality meats and traditional steakhouse sides versus the pasta. While I did not have a drink, I did see they have a full bar and extensive wine list. This is definitely a spot to go for the meats, as the NY Strip was really great. For such large portions of meat, prices are really reasonable. Will definitely be back to try more things from the menu. They also offer happy hour daily from 11:30 - 6 pm which is great. The host in the front let me know happy hour was half off all drinks and wines by the glass, so catch me there soon!

Amazing drinks, food, and good vibes!

I love La Cabrera! The drinks are always on point, the service is always fantastic, and the food tastes incredible! Highly recommend their Rib Eye and Mac & Cheese. The meat literally melts in your mouth and the Mac & Cheese has a nice crispy layer on top that is delicious. This restaurant is super nice inside. Great for dates, celebrations, or just to treat yourself to a nice meal. Gracias Ayrton por tu hospitalidad (:

Milanesa! Top! Is good for two people

Came for the first time to celebrate my husband's birthday and it didn't disappoint! Very good service, we were attended by Ari, she was really attentive and gave us excellent service, food was very flavorful and quality and quantity just perfect! Love the decor of the place, very cozy. Will definitely come back again!

Excellent service. Dining room overlooks the grill and Josper oven, seating perhaps 150 people. We visited on a Sunday, most customers were families with children, with the occasional couple. Very tasteful decor. Local outlet of celebrated Buenos Aires steakhouse. Prices are somewhat less expensive than other comparable Argentinian restaurants in the city, which matched to its pedigree makes for a very compelling value proposition.

To be honest I'm not sure how I feel about it... I've been used to eating Argentinian food and their menu was a bit different for me and my guest. They do have a nice selection of wines, and very good service. The ambience was very cute, more of an updated version of a small meat market/restaurant. Not bad, but I don't have enough to really rate it anything other than 5 stars for now.

This the best Latin American steak house in South America and it finally landed in the Gables-Grove area. I first heard of La Cabrera in Malaga. The Malaga location is yards from the main Cathedral. Like it's Grove brethren it is known for its shareable plates and lollipops at the end. Reservations were easy to come by and the hostess sat us down. As of the time of this writing they didn't have a full liquor license so were comping Malbec! May they never get that license! So good was the Malbec we ordered seconds. They give you complementary bread and some olives. We ordered the Provoleta and it did not disappoint. You could taste the smokiness and the gauchos roasting it on the plains of Argentina over coals in their cast iron skillets. We ordered a 14oz filet and had them split it in half. The entree was served with a side of broccoli and mash. We were unable to even touch the mash; the portions were that generous. My only quibble is that the filet was medium rare when we asked for medium. We sent it back and it came out medium well. A star is docked. The waiter and manager were both incredibly engaging. I believe that unlike the other places that have come and gone in this former Masonic lodge, this one may prove the one that stays the course.

I usually take pictures before digging in, but this dinner was so amazing--and the ambiance so pleasant--that I didn't even realize I hadn't taken any good quality shots! We celebrated Valentine's Day at La Cabrera, and the ambiance was absolutely on point--romantic, with perfect lighting that set the mood beautifully. My husband ordered the NY strip, and I had the flap steak, both cooked to perfection at medium rare. For our sides, we had the Caesar salad, mac & cheese and steamed broccoli--everything was delicious. Definitely recommend La Cabrera for a fantastic dining experience!

This poolside bar offers a shaded area with bar stools as well as poolside service. Cocktail menu is small, but for a reason. Ingredients were carefully selected and you can tell effort and thought were put into crafting the drink selection. I sampled 3 of the crafted cocktails on the menu. Each drink stood out and had its own unique flavor profile. They are light, but strong at the same time. These are excellent drinks if your looking to hang by the pool or share some laughs with friends while taking in the breathtaking views of coconut grove, the ocean, and Miami epic skyline. We did order 2 appetizers, the conch fritters and hummus. The conch was crispy and perfectly cooked inside, the aoli sauce complimented it perfectly. It came with 6 fritters and they went down very well. Not greasy or under filled. The hummus was delicious and the baked pita bread complimented it well. Sip Sip is an oasis in the desert. The enchiladas are also delicious. Again, a good size to share. We started off with some guac that was super solid. The space itself is really nice and has the perfect vibe for the Grove. Feels upscale while being super chill. Dress code is lax and it's about chilling and enjoying a great meal and maybe some adult beverages. So many things on the menu I want to try. Before going, we called the restaurant to ask if they would be showing the World Cup games, and we were told they would be showing all of them. Based on that, we expected a good viewing experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. There aren't enough TVs, many of the views are obstructed, and we actually had to move to the bar just to see part of the game. Even then, the music was so loud that we couldn't hear the match at all. When we asked the manager about it, he told us that ownership's instructions were to play music instead of the game's audio. That was especially surprising considering this is a Mexican-owned restaurant and the match was a Mexico World Cup game. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. To be fair, the restaurant was only about half full, so this wasn't a situation where the staff was overwhelmed by a packed house or unusually heavy demand. I was there with two female friends. I ordered a martini while my friends simply asked for water. The bartender reacted as if asking for water was somehow an inconvenience. We weren't even served chips and salsa until we repeatedly waved down members of the staff and specifically requested them. The bartenders consistently ignored us. My friends waited nearly 20 minutes before anyone came back so they could order their martinis. We later ordered guacamole and the Leña skirt steak. The guacamole arrived promptly, but the steak never did. When we asked another bartender to check on it, he looked in the system and told us there was no food order entered at all. This was unbelievable because the original bartender had described the dish, asked how we wanted the steak cooked, and appeared to take the order. He simply never entered it. When we complained to the manager about the missing food, he told us the kitchen was already closed but that he would "make an exception" and have the steak prepared for us. That response really upset me because this wasn't us asking for special treatment--it was the restaurant trying to correct its own mistake. I told him to simply cancel the order. He then said not to worry because he wouldn't charge us for it, as if not charging for a meal would somehow make up for the experience we had just endured. I declined the offer, but he responded by saying he would bring it anyway and that if we didn't want it, we could just leave it there. To me, that response was even more dismissive and completely missed the point. Throughout the evening, the bartenders were inattentive, dismissive, and consistently rude. Their attitude completely overshadowed what had always been one of my favorite restaurants in Coconut Grove. By halftime, we had simply had enough. Instead of continuing what should have been a fun night, we decided to leave the restaurant and go home, where we watched the rest of the Mexico match in the comfort of my home. Sadly, that turned out to be the best part of the night. I'm writing this review because I know Koko is capable of much better. My previous visits have always been enjoyable, which made this experience even more disappointing. However, if you're planning to watch a World Cup match there, I would strongly recommend choosing another venue. While they may tell you they'll be showing the game, the viewing experience is poor, the game audio is replaced with loud music, and based on our visit, the service was, without question, the worst I've experienced there since the restaurant opened. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously because Koko has always been one of my favorite restaurants, and I'd like to be able to recommend it again. Unfortunately, after this experience, I simply can't.

We had a seat at the bar where our small dog was also welcome, and each started with a cocktail, then ordered the parrilla special to share. Everything was very good and we managed to somehow finish it all aside from 1 piece of steak, so not bad. We were offered a digestif of limoncello or dulce de leche. We chose the limoncello and it was the perfect end to our meal. It should be noted that, on the night we came they had a different wine (a pinot noir from Spain) rather than the one usually offered with this special. The server allowed us to sample the wine that usually comes with the parrilla and I'm glad they had the other bottle available on the night we were here as we much preferred it. Overall the Parrilla Tuesday special is a great value IMO and since their meats are grilled in a charcoal fired Josper Oven, they were very flavorful and perfectly cooked.
