Koko is on the top of my list for favorite restaurants. Amazing every time, you can't go wrong with anything you order on the menu. From any of the cheesy queso fondido options to the fresh and crispy tostaditas de ceviche or guac, all you need to really decide is what type of mood you're in, ooey gooey or refreshing and light, or all of the above. Highly recommend the enmoladas de pollo and mole negro. I've also shared the A la leña plates and tacos. Make sure to make a reservation, restaurant is always pretty full.

Beautiful setting. We were seated in a little corner couch which was very nice. Ordered Passionfruit and Cilantro margarita and a Mango Margarita. Both were delicious. Appetizers were shrimp and mango ceviche and the guacamole. Very nice portions to share. Marcel our server recommendations were on point. Entrees we had the chicken and the skirt steak. Presentation was outrageous. Check out the photos. Mezcal choices were plentiful.

Great Mexican restaurant in The Grove! The outside seating is great with a cactus garden. Beatriz our server was personable and on point. We had frozen margaritas (mango for me and watermelon for my wife) that were real good and tasty. We shared the skirt steak taco platter which was also tasty and tender. Lovely decor and decorative pieces. The kitchen is open and you can see all. One note is that an 18% gratuity is included in your bill. I adjusted the tip to reflect 20%. Beatriz was definitely worth it.

Absolutely delicious. Tortillas are made in house and you can taste the homemade goodness. Plenty of tequila options for margaritas. The guac is a must, even though it's the giant chips, super creamy. The flautas are the perfect amount of crunchy and the short rib tacos were mouth watering. Chefs kiss! Our waiter, who I wanna say was named Jorge, was THE BEST.

Norman was the best waiter. Super attentive and kind and worked with all of our modification requests. Finally tried the steak at KoKo and it did not disappoint. Super tender and so many sides to accompany. The pepper and the corn are my favorite. The ambiance here is also so vibey. So tropical! Prices pretty well for the area. My friend also got the grasshopper taco and it was not bad at all! Tasted like ranch chips.

WOW! I don't give 5 stars freely but KOKO certainly deserves it. We absolutely loved our experience there. We made a reservation easily on OpenTable, and requested an outdoor table. The friendly staff accommodated our wish to be sat at a specific table outside, and throughout the visit everyone was very nice. The table had incredibly comfortable chairs, and the entire outdoor patio area was really nice. The overall style and decor of the restaurant is outstanding. They have an outdoor bar that looks like a great place to hang out. We were quickly greeted by our server Marlon, who guided us through our choices of cocktails and food. He was on point with his recommendations. We had a couple of margaritas that were very refreshing, as well as a different take on an old-fashioned with tequila and Mezcal. We ordered the guacamole appetizer, and I probably could've eaten another two bowls of it! My wife and I shared a board of grilled skirt steak that came with a delicious poblano chile relleno with Oaxaca cheese, guacamole, retired black beans, and corn. We also shared an order of baked pork tacos that were so flavorful! Everything was absolutely delicious.

I love Koko. But on a recent visit I chose the ribeye and it's a very poor cut. First I was served a medium well when I had asked for a medium. Then when the second steak came, while it was properly cooked at a medium, it was clear there was zero marbling and it was far too lean. I get it, it's not a prime steak and they want to keep it at an affordable cost. But it's a terrible cut. Just get the skirt steak.

Really nice Mexican restaurant in Coconut Grove. Everything here is very fresh and made from scratch. They really talked up their tortillas and they did not disappoint. They were blue corn and delicious. We ordered two of their special margaritas and at $18 they were just OK. We got a tamarind and a cucumber margarita neither one knocked my socks off. The food on the other hand did. The Elote appetizer was really good. I believe they must have a Peruvian influence here because they have a lot of ceviche plates and the corn here was the large kernels that you typically get in a Peruvian restaurant. It was really good. For the main course we got chicken flautas and Seabass tacos. Both were exceptional. The churro dessert was also exceptional. Service was on point and excellent. The decor and ambience were awesome and we had a really good time. Lunch for two was $140 with tip which is pricey but this place was definitely worth it. Next time I will try the ceviche. Four stars really good.

I came here, searching for ceviche. What started with a search for ceviche ended with an incredibly satisfying experience with attentive staff, and an incredible selection of ceviches. The staff recommended some dishes we had to try, and boy where they good. We vowed to come back for more menu items, and more dishes, because everything that passed by us seemed expertly made and appetizing.

I was extremely impressed by Koko! First off, the restaurant is beautiful, with a great bar and plenty of indoor and covered outdoor seating. This would be a great spot to bring family or have a large group dinner. Mexican food at more upscale restaurants can be hit or miss, but WOW Koko was a hit! Everything we got was absolutely delicious and so flavorful. The homemade tortillas were plentiful and delicious, I left stuffed! Koko should definitely be on your list for a dinner out in the grove!

Koko has incredible energy, great drinks, and delicious food. Gus was our server - also, I think, an assistant manager - and I cannot recommend him enough! He had us start with the Tetelas ( $19 ) which were basically amazing house made blue corn tortilla cheesy hot pockets smothered in an incredible truffle sauce. The duck enchiladas were incredible - $24. The mango marg Gus steered me to was a chalice worth for $18 . I really want to try the outdoor space next time! Will be back.

We visited Koko after the rain. The entrance was so magical and beautiful. Inside was cold and we settled outside since it was not so hot. The server, Juan, suggested the snapper was excellent. So, we ordered it with salad. The snapper came with 2 different kinds of seasoning and both were excellent. We finished our meal with flan. We really enjoyed our food and atmosphere there.

I'm going with my Larry David hat today. I absolutely love a comfy chair or seating arrangement. It tells me a restaurant wants me to kick off my shoes and stay a while. Koko has that in spades plus excellent Mex. I don't have a bad back or back issues but I love a comfy chair. Anyway the food was great. Guacamole was sensational. I wanted to lick the bowl good. I had tacos and my partner had a salad. Excellent service and 18% service fee automatically included. All in all a great dining experience in a beautiful comfortable setting.

The place is gorgeous, decorated in a very elegant and traditional style that immediately creates a refined atmosphere. The ambiance was calm and relaxing when we arrived, and although it gradually became more crowded, the overall vibe never changed. The service was outstanding. Staff were attentive to every detail, courteous, and formal without feeling stiff or unwelcoming. It was happy hour, and classic cocktails were at a reduced price. Every drink we tried was very well executed, with a perfect balance of alcohol, flavor, and presentation. The margarita and the Vesper were prepared to perfection, definitely  one of  the best I have ever had. We also sampled a few signature cocktails at regular price, and those were also very good. The bar offers a small snack menu, which left me with mixed feelings. While everything we tried tasted very good, the portion size relative to the price was somewhat disappointing, particularly the croquettes and the tuna bites. Around 7:30 p.m., the have "live music". It was DJ.  Unfortunately, it was not particularly lively , so we left. I truly loved the place. It is an ideal spot for excellent cocktails in an elegant setting.

So, of course, I followed along, because it had to be one hell of a party to pull people away from the current one. Even with 20+ valet‑reserved spots, parking is a breeze thanks to ample metered spaces and a pricey-but-available garage. The scale of Regatta hits you immediately: yachts bobbing in the marina and an entrance stolen from an EDM club in Croatia or Cyprus. The ID policy is generous, which explains the throng of underage FIU and UMiami kids, fitting, since the drinks are zero‑proof. The group chose the Spritz Experience for $325 all-in, which included two bottles of bubbly, Aperol, and a variety pack of San Pellegrino sodas. I opted to hop between the main and satellite bar, ordering three cocktails, and $50 later, I could've aced a field sobriety test, including the Breathalyzer add‑on. The satellite bar staff had no idea how to make a Rosemary Gin Fizz, a signature cocktail on their own menu. The bartender looked miffed that I ordered it, then had the gonads to grant herself a 25% tip. I politely corrected this mistake by hitting the back button on the tablet and adjusting the tip to match the level of service. Next up, from the main bar, was the Guanabana Margarita. If you had served it to me in a blind taste test, I would've confidently guessed "low‑calorie lemonade." Finally, I tested my theory with a Maker's Mark neat. Even at 46% ABV, every bourbon has a recognizable sting. My pour was muted, like someone had whispered bourbon over a cup of iced tea. As a pre‑game spot before heading to your real destination deeper in the Grove or Brickell, Regatta is fine; there are better boozy food courts in Miami. I'd return, but only under the right conditions: it's a Thursday to enjoy $2 beer or $3 wine between 4 and 7, or someone I genuinely care about dragging me there. Otherwise, I'd rather be at Barracuda, Level 6, or Mae's Rooftop.

Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.

The first location in the River is better imo because the location is bigger, there is plenty more seating than the Grove location. Although, I still enjoyed my time at this location as well. Sooo how it works is that you go inside and pick a bottle of wine from the fridges. You can also order by the glass if you aren't a big drinker or if you want to try different wines. The bottles are moderately priced depending on your selection. We chose an orange wine and it was nice, very refreshing, you can really get that citrus essence with every sip. Another thing that they have is that you can pick different cheeses and meats and they will build you a charcuterie board. I love this because it is all based on your selection, nothing will go to waste. They also have food you can order. A lot of people love the nuggets with caviar. I think they are decent imo but I'm not like in love with them. Parking can be a bit annoying... If there isn't street parking, you can also park in the garage. The service was good, the staff was friendly. The only thing that was a hassle was getting a table. We had to wait a bit in order for a table to become available. Overall, this spot is a very cozy place to hang and mingle with friends.
