YALL! OH. MY. ALLAH. I do not understand how I've waited so long to go to Koko and I am absolutely kicking myself for it. Everything was phenomenal. You walk in and you're instantly transported. The space is absolutely gorgeous and the service is absolutely phenomenal. If you go, ask for Brandy, she will definitely take care of you. And the food. I left ROLLING. We tried their Lunch Miami Spice menu and for $40 you get legit sized portions and a great thing they do is that if one person in your group is doing Miami spice, not everyone at the table has to do it. The Miami Spice lunch is 11-4 & dinner is 4-close. They have happy hour Monday through Friday 4-6PM and all their drinks and Mexican wines are half off. Another thing I loved is that they have home made salsas, they make their blue corn tortillas and chips in house AND they have insects on the menu! They have recommended pairings for all their dishes with their hundreds of tequilas and mezcals AND they can make any margarita skinny or spicy. You know I got it spicy. This is definitely a place you need to RUN to.

Koko is on the top of my list for favorite restaurants. Amazing every time, you can't go wrong with anything you order on the menu. From any of the cheesy queso fondido options to the fresh and crispy tostaditas de ceviche or guac, all you need to really decide is what type of mood you're in, ooey gooey or refreshing and light, or all of the above. Highly recommend the enmoladas de pollo and mole negro. I've also shared the A la leña plates and tacos. Make sure to make a reservation, restaurant is always pretty full.

We loved having our anniversary dinner here! The food was 11/10 and the service was even better. Thank you so much to Miguel for the amazing hospitality and amazing recommendations. If you're thinking about coming here stop thinking just go!!!

Beautiful setting. We were seated in a little corner couch which was very nice. Ordered Passionfruit and Cilantro margarita and a Mango Margarita. Both were delicious. Appetizers were shrimp and mango ceviche and the guacamole. Very nice portions to share. Marcel our server recommendations were on point. Entrees we had the chicken and the skirt steak. Presentation was outrageous. Check out the photos. Mezcal choices were plentiful.

Norman was the best waiter. Super attentive and kind and worked with all of our modification requests. Finally tried the steak at KoKo and it did not disappoint. Super tender and so many sides to accompany. The pepper and the corn are my favorite. The ambiance here is also so vibey. So tropical! Prices pretty well for the area. My friend also got the grasshopper taco and it was not bad at all! Tasted like ranch chips.

Great Mexican restaurant in The Grove! The outside seating is great with a cactus garden. Beatriz our server was personable and on point. We had frozen margaritas (mango for me and watermelon for my wife) that were real good and tasty. We shared the skirt steak taco platter which was also tasty and tender. Lovely decor and decorative pieces. The kitchen is open and you can see all. One note is that an 18% gratuity is included in your bill. I adjusted the tip to reflect 20%. Beatriz was definitely worth it.

Absolutely delicious. Tortillas are made in house and you can taste the homemade goodness. Plenty of tequila options for margaritas. The guac is a must, even though it's the giant chips, super creamy. The flautas are the perfect amount of crunchy and the short rib tacos were mouth watering. Chefs kiss! Our waiter, who I wanna say was named Jorge, was THE BEST.

WOW! I don't give 5 stars freely but KOKO certainly deserves it. We absolutely loved our experience there. We made a reservation easily on OpenTable, and requested an outdoor table. The friendly staff accommodated our wish to be sat at a specific table outside, and throughout the visit everyone was very nice. The table had incredibly comfortable chairs, and the entire outdoor patio area was really nice. The overall style and decor of the restaurant is outstanding. They have an outdoor bar that looks like a great place to hang out. We were quickly greeted by our server Marlon, who guided us through our choices of cocktails and food. He was on point with his recommendations. We had a couple of margaritas that were very refreshing, as well as a different take on an old-fashioned with tequila and Mezcal. We ordered the guacamole appetizer, and I probably could've eaten another two bowls of it! My wife and I shared a board of grilled skirt steak that came with a delicious poblano chile relleno with Oaxaca cheese, guacamole, retired black beans, and corn. We also shared an order of baked pork tacos that were so flavorful! Everything was absolutely delicious.

I love Koko. But on a recent visit I chose the ribeye and it's a very poor cut. First I was served a medium well when I had asked for a medium. Then when the second steak came, while it was properly cooked at a medium, it was clear there was zero marbling and it was far too lean. I get it, it's not a prime steak and they want to keep it at an affordable cost. But it's a terrible cut. Just get the skirt steak.

I came here, searching for ceviche. What started with a search for ceviche ended with an incredibly satisfying experience with attentive staff, and an incredible selection of ceviches. The staff recommended some dishes we had to try, and boy where they good. We vowed to come back for more menu items, and more dishes, because everything that passed by us seemed expertly made and appetizing.

I was extremely impressed by Koko! First off, the restaurant is beautiful, with a great bar and plenty of indoor and covered outdoor seating. This would be a great spot to bring family or have a large group dinner. Mexican food at more upscale restaurants can be hit or miss, but WOW Koko was a hit! Everything we got was absolutely delicious and so flavorful. The homemade tortillas were plentiful and delicious, I left stuffed! Koko should definitely be on your list for a dinner out in the grove!

We visited Koko after the rain. The entrance was so magical and beautiful. Inside was cold and we settled outside since it was not so hot. The server, Juan, suggested the snapper was excellent. So, we ordered it with salad. The snapper came with 2 different kinds of seasoning and both were excellent. We finished our meal with flan. We really enjoyed our food and atmosphere there.

Really nice Mexican restaurant in Coconut Grove. Everything here is very fresh and made from scratch. They really talked up their tortillas and they did not disappoint. They were blue corn and delicious. We ordered two of their special margaritas and at $18 they were just OK. We got a tamarind and a cucumber margarita neither one knocked my socks off. The food on the other hand did. The Elote appetizer was really good. I believe they must have a Peruvian influence here because they have a lot of ceviche plates and the corn here was the large kernels that you typically get in a Peruvian restaurant. It was really good. For the main course we got chicken flautas and Seabass tacos. Both were exceptional. The churro dessert was also exceptional. Service was on point and excellent. The decor and ambience were awesome and we had a really good time. Lunch for two was $140 with tip which is pricey but this place was definitely worth it. Next time I will try the ceviche. Four stars really good.

Parking was a bit challenging due to the limited number of spaces, but once we walked inside, the experience more than made up for it. We were warmly greeted by Carolina, who also became our server. She was incredibly patient and took her time walking us through the menu, explaining each dish and how everything is prepared. Her dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out, and we hope management recognizes what an asset she is. Carolina proudly shared that every item on the menu is made in‑house, and it absolutely shows. My wife ordered the Quesadilla de Pollo with a side of Arroz Mexicano and couldn't stop talking about the exceptional flavors. I chose the Tostada al Pastor, a small Tortilla Soup, and a side salad. Everything was delicious, but the Tortilla Soup was the star of the meal--a perfect example of why in‑house preparation matters. Since we're not from the area, we weren't sure where to go for lunch, and we truly lucked out choosing Don Maguey--and having Carolina as our server. Thank you, Carolina. When I looked 20 minutes after at my credit card statement read I had been charged $77 and change pending a potential tip on top of that, even with tip included it is still over approximately $7 what I signed off for. We called to determine the prices of each individual meal and "the manager" was stumbling to tell us the prices for everything. Even with the fake numbers that were given to us it still didn't add up correctly. I remember the prices for the 3 meals my family and I ordered and I remember what the check said. I let it be because maybe they need more than I do. As for the food, I'm born and raised on the border of Mexico and although I must say it does scream authenticity especially on appearance the meat is bland, and that "Mexican rice" is by far the worst tasting rice I've had. For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

Mauricio was at the bar and we definitely missed being under his attention by not sitting there. Eliezer (the Venezuelan waiter from Mérida) took care of us in the dining room. Both are always very friendly and attentive. This time we decided to sit in the dining room because we were a group of three and had a lot to talk about. The place has 4 TVs and we were able to enjoy the France vs Spain match. We all ordered La Tropical Draft beer, a light, smooth, and very refreshing blonde. In total we had 16 beers . We shared nachos with grilled steak, which were very good (they pour the melted cheese right at the table). We also ordered tripa tacos well toasted (that's the technique) as we requested, and they came out excellent. Note: They have different promotions or offers depending on the day, not a regular happy hour variety, so it's good to be aware of that. The restaurant offers a good variety of 8 salsas: Sirloin, Chips, Guacamole, Verde, Vicente, Pastor, Chilanga, and Asada. Good atmosphere, pleasant service, and tasty food. We'll definitely keep coming back.

The server was phenomenal, and the food tasted great, though portions run a little small for the price. One thing that caught me off guard: most of the table ordered tacos and enchiladas, but when the plates arrived, the "tacos" were essentially flautas and the "enchiladas" were more like tacos (the photo shown is the enchiladas). Naming aside, both dishes were delicious. We were also celebrating a birthday, and the staff sang for her and brought out a complimentary dessert--hands down the best brownie dessert I've ever had. The drinks were good, the food came out hot, and the ambiance was wonderful, with friendly, kind staff throughout. What did we order? Chorizo Queso: Not your traditional dipping queso, but FULL of flavor and the chorizo was great, decent portion. The table loved this. Comes with some warm fresh purple corn tortillas! 9/10 Guacamole: Nothing extraordinary, standard guac, I wish there was more guac and chips! The tortillas these come with are the same as the queso but fried and uncut. A little different but it was a nice change! 7/10 Chicken and Chorizo Enchiladas: Not your standard enchilada that you may be used to! Full of flavor though and everything was cooked very well! 8/10!
