    Steak burrito
    Paulo I.

My friend recommended Uptown 66 for their steak burrito, and it did not disappoint. The steak was tender and well seasoned, the cheese sauce was rich, and the guacamole and salsa added a nice freshness. It's definitely one of the better burritos I've had. That said, parking is almost nonexistent, and I later realized this place is mainly meant for takeout. The service was also a bit unusual. You could hear employees arguing in the back, so it seems disorganized. I personally didn't experience any issues with my order, but I was told this happens often. Overall, the food is very good, but the restaurant may need to address some staffing issues if this continues.

Uptown is one of those gems you feel lucky to have found. The food is unbelievably delicious, so much so that the fact that there is only outdoor seating and the chairs are not the most comfortable honestly does not even matter once you start indulging. I have become a regular here and always stop by whenever I get the chance. Their happy hour is one of the best in the city, with $4 tacos and $1 oysters. My absolute favorites are the chicken and barbacoa tacos. The birria is truly some of the best (they are not overhyped), and the oysters with their passion fruit mignonette are an absolute must an so surprisingly fresh. The staff is always so kind and welcoming, which makes every visit even better. Whether you are going for the happy hour deals, their famous birria tacos, or the nachos (trust me, they are incredible), I cannot recommend this place enough. I do wish they still had their wine margaritas because those were amazing too, but everything else makes up for it. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You will not regret it. You are welcome.

The food is really good and the prices are great especially for the quality. I love their tacos but there nachos are also fantastic. Nice outdoor seating with a smoke shop Nextdoor and super fast service

There's no change a year after my first visit here. Service, amazing. Ambience, perfect. Food, out of this world. We stopped over here after a long travel day last year and were blown away by the entire experience. Over the next four days we stayed in Miami, we came every single day. A year later we had a rough travel day and healed our aches with nachos and tacos. This place is legit, if you're waiting for a sign to try it then this is it.

Had lunch here with my daughter and the food was delicious! She had the chicken flautas and I had the shrimp nachos. Very appetizing, fresh and tasty! As a lover of Topo Chico I was happy to see it was available as a beverage choice. The service was fast and it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the rare cooler Miami weather!

So I'll need to give this outdoor spot another try but every time I've been here (which has only been very few times) the service has been sort of slow. The last time being last night I waited 20 min for a burrito to go. They simply forgot but what bothered me most is I wasn't the only one waiting and all the staff was just chatting amongst themselves and not giving us any proper update. I literally was on the verge of leaving and going else where but then they gave me my bag. Now, just because the wait time is a bit long doesn't mean they have bad staff; actually everyone was really nice. Now to the food--the burrito was DELICIOUS and it doesn't look like much but it was so fulfilling. So I would definitely order from there again I'll just be prepared to wait a bit.

Birria taco. With a used lime......

Came here to meet a friend. Apparently it's her favorite spot. Looking at the menu, I was very underwhelmed. Especially at the prices. But the person at the counter said the birria is their most popular. It was pretty busy and continued to be busy. I was very disappointed that it came with a used lime. It tells me that they might save the veggies to put on another's plate. How else does that happen? If it was a new lime, that wasn't off someone else's plate, I'd give 3 stars. For $15 it was okay. It really should have come with 3 tacos. I was happy that it wasn't greasy and that it wasn't soaking wet. But I wish it came with some salsa. I had to ask. I can see how this place has return visitors, but it wasn't my cup of tea.

You MUST try these nachos , if you are a nacho fan! They come with cheese to pour on top. Delicious , so good. The jalapeño & cilantro, over the fresh seasoned fresh chicken pieces. So fresh and good.

I ordered four tacos (chicken, al pastor, carnitas, mushrooms) and my favorite were carnitas and mushrooms. With that said, if you like a vegetarian day, a couple mushroom tacos and maybe an elote would be a great meal. I also enjoyed the artisanal tortillas and premium toppings, and the sauces were very good. I will definitely go back for a burrito.

I can't believe I don't have a review of this place! This used to be my favorite happy hour in the edgewater area. I haven't been here in a while bc I moved but it's changed unfortunately. First and foremost they lost their liquor license so no more delicious margaritas. The chips are freshly made and so good. The guacamole is amazing but if you're lactose intolerant let them know bc it automatically comes with a ton of cheese on top. The mushroom taco is my absolute favorite. All the tacos are great but the mushroom really knocks it out of the park. I love their happy hour $1 oysters. They have an incredible passion fruit sauce. So tangy and good! The bathroom floor is SUPER slippery so be careful! Overall awesome service and great flavor but went down a lot since I came here mostly for a drink and chips. Apparently they're opening a new place in Hallendale

    Beef STEAK BURRITO

Came here on my son's recommendation, and while it wasn't bad, it didn't quite stand out for me. Parking was a hassle--he had to park several blocks away. Ordering was quick, and there were plenty of seats, but the first table we sat at was dirty and sticky, so we had to move. Thankfully, the weather was mild, but I can't imagine sitting here during a hot Miami summer. We started with guacamole and chips, which were amazing! I ordered a steak burrito, and my mom got a chicken burrito, both without chipotle sauce. However, something in them was still quite spicy--too much for my mom, who could only pick at the tortilla and left most of her whole burrito. ( I was very sad about this) My son had a few tacos, which were fantastic. I enjoyed my burrito despite the spice, but I would have preferred a milder option. Overall, the place feels a bit overhyped and overpriced, but the menu is tasty, and the concept is nice. If I had to return, I would, but I'd choose Coyo Taco or other Mexican spots first.

    STEAK BURRITO
    Lauren C.

Simple Mexican spot serving up classics such as tacos, burritos, etc. I will say it is a bit more Americanized Mexican than traditional. I got the steak burrito and it was pretty average. Imagine if Taco Bell started using real ingredients and opened a restaurant, that's what it tasted like. It wasn't horrible, but nothing special. The burrito was filled with steak, potatoes, guacamole, pico, cheese and onion. I enjoyed the red sauce that came with it, the green sauce wasn't very good and tasted watery. Service is relatively quick, I ordered pick up and did not have to wait long. Inside has plenty of places to sit as well.

    Birria tacos
    Yamel F.

I've heard folks talk about this place, deeming it one of the best places to get tacos in Miami. Though it was good, it's not my favorite taco place. The birria tacos is what they are known for, and I thought it was good but nothing to die over. The tacos needed a little more salt, but overall they were ok! The salsa verde is the saving grace, don't sit down without it! I would come back to try the burritos or nachos, but not something I'm running to do. If you're in the area, you lucked out with a decent taco spot in Miami!

Nachos - when placed to go queso is on the side.

Given my preferences, and my stomach, the only basic options that I would get were there Al Pastor and chicken tacos, five dollars each. The menu said that they had alcohol, but apparently not on that week, supposedly for some bureaucratic issue. The tacos were served with just the tortilla and the meat, along with a basket of fixings, such as cilantro and line. No complaints of the food really, the tacos were actually well seasoned and for my taste buds made even better with the hot sauce that left a yummy after burn. They had seating inside a tent, music blasting from inside the restaurant speakers, plus another speaker outside, plus a DJ on top of that. The entire place was chaotic and so loud that you could barely even have a conversation. What made it even more disappointing was that this was supposed to be a Cinco de Mayo celebration at a Mexican restaurant, yet the entire time the DJ outside was mainly playing Cuban music. It honestly did not match the atmosphere at all. I eventually even asked the DJ if he could please play some Mexican music because it was Cinco de Mayo. I'm Mexican myself, and overall I did not enjoy the food, the music, or the atmosphere. Our waitress was terrible from the start. Every time we tried to order or ask for something, she acted like we were bothering her. The service overall was just awful. By the time our food finally arrived, we honestly didn't even want it anymore. I ordered the carne asada tacos and they were disappointing. The tortillas tasted undercooked, and the carne asada was tough and cold. Then came the worst part. My friend and I split the bill and noticed that a 20% gratuity had already been included. Somehow, the waitress still added another 20% tip on top of each of our bills when she charged our cards. When we questioned it, she acted confused and like she had no idea what happened. We asked to speak to a manager, and instead of calmly helping resolve the issue, he was loud and confrontational. Another friend in our group kept asking for a copy of her receipt, and the manager actually threatened to call the cops on her while refusing to provide it. At that point, it honestly made us question whether additional charges had also been added to her bill as well. Because everything was so disorganized, it took nearly another hour just to straighten out the bill situation. In the end, the waitress had to give me the extra tip amount back in cash. I understand restaurants get busy on Cinco de Mayo, but this went beyond "busy." It was chaotic, disorganized, unprofessional, and honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. Very disappointed.
