My friend recommended Uptown 66 for their steak burrito, and it did not disappoint. The steak was tender and well seasoned, the cheese sauce was rich, and the guacamole and salsa added a nice freshness. It's definitely one of the better burritos I've had. That said, parking is almost nonexistent, and I later realized this place is mainly meant for takeout. The service was also a bit unusual. You could hear employees arguing in the back, so it seems disorganized. I personally didn't experience any issues with my order, but I was told this happens often. Overall, the food is very good, but the restaurant may need to address some staffing issues if this continues.
Uptown is one of those gems you feel lucky to have found. The food is unbelievably delicious, so much so that the fact that there is only outdoor seating and the chairs are not the most comfortable honestly does not even matter once you start indulging. I have become a regular here and always stop by whenever I get the chance. Their happy hour is one of the best in the city, with $4 tacos and $1 oysters. My absolute favorites are the chicken and barbacoa tacos. The birria is truly some of the best (they are not overhyped), and the oysters with their passion fruit mignonette are an absolute must an so surprisingly fresh. The staff is always so kind and welcoming, which makes every visit even better. Whether you are going for the happy hour deals, their famous birria tacos, or the nachos (trust me, they are incredible), I cannot recommend this place enough. I do wish they still had their wine margaritas because those were amazing too, but everything else makes up for it. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You will not regret it. You are welcome.

We stopped over here after a long travel day last year and were blown away by the entire experience. Over the next four days we stayed in Miami, we came every single day. A year later we had a rough travel day and healed our aches with nachos and tacos. This place is legit, if you're waiting for a sign to try it then this is it.

It tells me that they might save the veggies to put on another's plate. How else does that happen? If it was a new lime, that wasn't off someone else's plate, I'd give 3 stars. For $15 it was okay. It really should have come with 3 tacos. I was happy that it wasn't greasy and that it wasn't soaking wet. But I wish it came with some salsa. I had to ask. I can see how this place has return visitors, but it wasn't my cup of tea.
Had lunch here with my daughter and the food was delicious! She had the chicken flautas and I had the shrimp nachos. Very appetizing, fresh and tasty! As a lover of Topo Chico I was happy to see it was available as a beverage choice. The service was fast and it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the rare cooler Miami weather!

I literally was on the verge of leaving and going else where but then they gave me my bag. Now, just because the wait time is a bit long doesn't mean they have bad staff; actually everyone was really nice. Now to the food--the burrito was DELICIOUS and it doesn't look like much but it was so fulfilling. So I would definitely order from there again I'll just be prepared to wait a bit.
You MUST try these nachos , if you are a nacho fan! They come with cheese to pour on top. Delicious , so good. The jalapeño & cilantro, over the fresh seasoned fresh chicken pieces. So fresh and good.
I ordered four tacos (chicken, al pastor, carnitas, mushrooms) and my favorite were carnitas and mushrooms. With that said, if you like a vegetarian day, a couple mushroom tacos and maybe an elote would be a great meal. I also enjoyed the artisanal tortillas and premium toppings, and the sauces were very good. I will definitely go back for a burrito.
I can't believe I don't have a review of this place! This used to be my favorite happy hour in the edgewater area. I haven't been here in a while bc I moved but it's changed unfortunately. First and foremost they lost their liquor license so no more delicious margaritas. The chips are freshly made and so good. The guacamole is amazing but if you're lactose intolerant let them know bc it automatically comes with a ton of cheese on top. The mushroom taco is my absolute favorite. All the tacos are great but the mushroom really knocks it out of the park. I love their happy hour $1 oysters. They have an incredible passion fruit sauce. So tangy and good! The bathroom floor is SUPER slippery so be careful! Overall awesome service and great flavor but went down a lot since I came here mostly for a drink and chips. Apparently they're opening a new place in Hallendale

Ordering was quick, and there were plenty of seats, but the first table we sat at was dirty and sticky, so we had to move. Thankfully, the weather was mild, but I can't imagine sitting here during a hot Miami summer. We started with guacamole and chips, which were amazing! I ordered a steak burrito, and my mom got a chicken burrito, both without chipotle sauce. However, something in them was still quite spicy--too much for my mom, who could only pick at the tortilla and left most of her whole burrito. ( I was very sad about this) My son had a few tacos, which were fantastic. I enjoyed my burrito despite the spice, but I would have preferred a milder option. Overall, the place feels a bit overhyped and overpriced, but the menu is tasty, and the concept is nice. If I had to return, I would, but I'd choose Coyo Taco or other Mexican spots first.
Simple Mexican spot serving up classics such as tacos, burritos, etc. I will say it is a bit more Americanized Mexican than traditional. I got the steak burrito and it was pretty average. Imagine if Taco Bell started using real ingredients and opened a restaurant, that's what it tasted like. It wasn't horrible, but nothing special. The burrito was filled with steak, potatoes, guacamole, pico, cheese and onion. I enjoyed the red sauce that came with it, the green sauce wasn't very good and tasted watery. Service is relatively quick, I ordered pick up and did not have to wait long. Inside has plenty of places to sit as well.
I've heard folks talk about this place, deeming it one of the best places to get tacos in Miami. Though it was good, it's not my favorite taco place. The birria tacos is what they are known for, and I thought it was good but nothing to die over. The tacos needed a little more salt, but overall they were ok! The salsa verde is the saving grace, don't sit down without it! I would come back to try the burritos or nachos, but not something I'm running to do. If you're in the area, you lucked out with a decent taco spot in Miami!

I have heard so much around this place and I can confidently say it lives up to the hype! Finding parking nearby is a bit tricky as it is only street parking and there's only outside dining available. The music selection is fire though and I was jamming out the whole time while waiting for my food. I complimented them on the music selection and they mentioned the owner is dominican and puerto rican which explained the great music selection. I was helped out by Adrian and his service was helpful in finding what dishes to order. I took my food to go and it was piping hot, definitely made fresh to order which I enjoyed. The nachos were what I was most eager to try as they are all the rage on social media. They lived up to the hype and that nacho cheese is absolute gold. I love that it's served in a pizza box. It just makes it iconic. It travels well and everything was still hot when I got home. The Al Pastor taco was just okay, nothing to write home about but now the steak burrito was really really good. I love that they don't have rice in their burritos and instead replace it with potatoes, which is absolutely delicious. They give two different types of salsas with your order plus limes and the green salsa is unreal. Add it to everything for a flavor boost! All in all this place is fire and if you're craving nachos, this is definitely the place you should come to get your fix! read more

Yesterday we stopped by here to get lunch to go. We did the online order on their app. We were expecting to get the same quality and service we got 3 months ago (5 stars) but unfortunately that did not happen this visit. We are very disappointed that the chicken and steak burritos were not seasoned very well (bland) and both were so dry. I couldn't even taste any cheese in the chicken burrito either. I took a few bites and had to give the rest to our dogs. What a shame. My daughter couldn't finish her burrito either. I tasted her steak burrito and it didn't taste like any steak that I have ever tried. So disappointing. The guac and chips were good but they were like a little side dish. So, there went a wasted $50 for lunch. We were still hungry. Since it was a to-go order, we didn't feel like going back all that way again. It was a very hot day. Service was strange. I sat in the car but my daughter went up to the counter to pick up our order. She stood there for a long time in the hot sun and no one helped her. There was a bag sitting on the counter already. Finally when she was helped, the guy said that the bag sitting there was ours!! She was highly irritated fir the poor service. He should have checked to see if his customer was there to pick up the only bag on the counter. In retrospect, we should have tasted our burritos before driving home to taste them but we trusted them. Sorry to say, we won't be going back. read more

Checks off all the boxes but I don't go as often because the parking is pretty much non existent. This time I had the Birria tacos and a braised beef taco. Delicious BUT the chicken nachos will be my go to going forward. It's truly masterful. The birria tacos consommé didn't do anything for the dish. Prices are a steal for the quality here and their hours are super convenient. read more

Came from outta town & This place was on my list originally because of their drinks... When I got here, they said they stopped selling liquor.. BUMMERRRRRRRRR!!! But I guess their elotes and burrito made up for no longer serving drinks bc they were both flavorful!!! Staff were all very nice and eating here at night is definitely a vibe. The food here is not bad, but it's been advertised as the best tacos in America and they are FAR FAR from it. I tried their Birria Tacos, Pollo Asado, Al Pastor and Beef. Birria tacos came with flour tortillas, which is just wrong. Regular tacos did have corn tortillas but were extremely thick - like 4x the thickness of a regular tortilla - which was just weird in textures and flavors. The flavors were decent (specially the birria was my fav), but the rest were just bland and boring... even the calamari was a fail (super overcooked). It wasn't a terrible experience but there are sooooo many other better taco places in Miami, let along America, that I was disappointed. read more
The birria tacos had excellent tastes, but they were not filling. The Elote was mushy. The flan was exceptional. Since I was still hungry, I ordered guacamole and chips to take home. Not living in the immediate area of Miami, but stopped in here because it was rated "the best taco spot in America" by Good Morning America. The best? Not in my opinion. But VERY delicious, you won't be disappointed!! We ordered the elote (street corn), birria (braised beef) tacos, steak burrito, pollo asado (chicken) tacos and al pastor (pork shoulder) tacos. The items that stood out were the birria tacos and the steak burrito!! The birria taco had tender meat, but what made the taco was the crunch factor from the hand-pressed taco shell. The steak burrito had the best taste out of everything- juicy steak with pico and guacamole, smothered in queso and Chipotle crema. The marinade on both meats, and flavor components of each taco, were something to remember. We arrived 15 minutes before the restaurant was open, and there was already a line (so come early)! Seating was limited, as there are only a few tables outside (none inside). Parking is also difficult in the area (best bet may be the lot across the street). read more

This is a good place if you have had too many drinks and need a late night snack or need a quick dinner. They are open very late. Their margaritas are really good. Only issue is they do not have much seating and parking is hard. The music is loud and be prepared if you go late to be around people that have had one too many or are trying to continue their celebration. The 3 leches was good, but the milk stayed at the bottom of the tin, maybe because we got it all to go. There were these little edible balls at the top that kinda ruined the texture for me. We honestly love Uptown 66's food. Last week we even deemed it the best burrito in Miami. Tonight we ordered one shrimp burrito and an order of guacamole and chips. What arrived was one steak burrito and guacamole without chips. The reason it's a problem is because my boyfriend doesn't eat meat. So the guacamole pretty much was a waste, and he couldn't eat the burrito. We called the restaurant, and the person who picked up answered, "what's up?" I found that kind of unprofessional but not a big deal. We explained the error, and he said I'll remake it if you come pick it up. That really wasn't an option, so we said no. The guy hung up without even an apology. To add insult to injury, DoorDash isn't even refunding the fees and tip, so we paid $16 for ... nothing. read more
Talk about a hidden gem! My boyfriend suggested we try this place for tacos. Did not realize it was only outdoor, don't let that deter you. This was one of the best burrias I've tried. And the steak burrito was really delicious. Also started with guac, very fresh! Friendly staff Mango margarita was hitting. All in all great spot for tacos highly recommend. read more
This place was nothing short of amazing.. came here on a Friday night with the Family and of course it did not disappoint.. service started from the moment we walked in. Parking was a little challenging so we opted to park across the street. No biggie.. The way this works is, you order first, you're given a number and the food is brought to your table. They offer wine based beverages and let me tell you they are .... Gooooood!! My favorite is the Spicy Passion Fruit! Okay, I finally dropped in at Uptown 66 with my girlfriend and it was alright...The Flatas were on point , the Birrera tacos were good and the Steak Burrito is on some stoner taste, perfect place to have some Mexican munchies on the taste buds after getting high all day .Okay, I am basing this review for all marijuana smokers My stoner rating is 5 joints, the only down fall here is that none of employees are Mexican, this is an Americanized version of Mexican food. read more

Amazing tacos! We ordered the barbacoa and the Al pastor and they were divine! You can tell the meat has been marinated to perfection and paired with fresh veggies! We made a quick stop, but look forward to trying more of their menu options! The service was great you order at the window and your order is brought to you table, it's a chill vibe with plenty of outdoor setting! They do not have indoor setting but umbrellas in case it rains!!! Best tacos hands down read more
