I've heard about this place from several people but I expected more. The atmosphere might be fun if you're under 25 but after that it's just annoying. The first time I went here, I left before ordering because I didn't like the order on the screen only method. I went back weeks later to at least give it a try. The options leave something to be desired. They offer quite a number of different possibilities but it's missing a lot of the traditional meals. The food looks like Taco Bell but a little more of it. The nachos are mostly chips and cheese with a blob of shredded beef somewhere in the midst. I can't remember what my burrito was but that should tell you a lot. This is a place that I won't give a second chance to. No possibility they will change dramatically. Luckily, there are several other good options nearby. read more

And got the frozen Mango Drink, For 2 of us, we spent $60 but the drinks were around $10-12 of that total. And it was worth it! If I am in the mood for a heavy lunch, take out at Talkin' Tacos is one of my go-to options. While their tacos are all good, I have been springing for their rice bowls lately. My last order was their steak rice bowl, which consists of a crispy flour tortilla base, lots of rice and refried beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, avocado, salsa, cilantro, cotija cheese, and steak. As I said, these bowls are heavy and leave me satiated well into the evening where I may choose to have a lighter dinner. Conveniently located, the exterior of this place is what initially drew me in (I'm a sucker for neon). When you walk in you use the self service stations on the left to order then take your seat. There were staff people around to direct me, which made the process super smooth. I ended up ordering the taco trio, which allows you to try a variety of their street style tacos. I order the bang banged shrimp, Caribbean carne, and carne asada. They were all delicious, but my favorite by far was the bang bang shrimp. There's a parking garage less than a block away so that's really convenient, since finding parking in this area is always a problem. The staff is very friendly. I couldn't remember if we ordered at the kiosk or when we sat down and she immediately helped us and welcomed us in the restaurant. You order the food at the kiosk and they bring it to your table. We got our food really quickly! We got two water bottles, birria tacos, bang bang shrimp tacos and elote corn. As good as the food was, it should not have been close to $50 for 6 tacos, elote and two pure life water bottles. Very pricey for what you get, but that's the price you pay when in Brickell. The place is spacious and clean, could use some more decorations, and the AC unit has droplets of water that kept falling on me. Talkin' Tacos is located in the corner space once occupied by La Moon, adjacent to Blackbird Ordinary. We came here on a Saturday night and were not impressed. When we entered and asked for a table for 2, we were directed to the 2 self-serve touch screens in the corner to place our own food orders. The screens on those machines were smeared and had what appeared to be splotches of grease and/or dried bits of food on them. Several tables in the dining area hadn't been cleaned and cleanliness overall seemed to be lacking at this place. To top it off, the screens patrons use to place their own orders upon entering, request a gratuity. No way. Next time we'll walk a few blocks to Coyo Taco for a much better experience in many respects. read more

Their patio has a good amount of seating & is a great spot to people watch. I got the Taco Trio & chose all birria. While the flavor was great, I really wish the tortilla was fried, especially since they use corn ones which I'm not really a fan of. The beef was well seasoned but the consommé was too watery for my liking, despite having great flavor. The street corn was sooo good--creamy & flavorful with a slight kick to it. It paired really well with my taco. For dessert, I ordered a guava cheesecake which was to die for. Rich, creamy & infused well with guava. I did try the chicken achiote taco & that's definitely what I'd order if I were to go back. I had a sparkling water but they also have a variety of lemonades & Mexican sodas. It wasn't bad but seriously lacked flavor. It was just bland.we also had Guacamole and chips. Again the Guacamole lacked flavor and spices. Prices were sort of high in my opinion, but I don't know what Miami charges for dinners at fast casual type restaurants. We sat on the patio and people watched. That was fantastic and entertaining. Friday night on the streets of Miami felt a little bit like watching Miami vice. I won't be back the next time I am in Miami. I tried the birria, caribbean, and mahi mahi tacos with a side of guacamole and an horchata to wash it down. I enjoyed all of them but I think the Mahi Mahi was my fav, they did a nice job frying the fish in a way that didn't overpower the taco with a heavy batter and melded well with the toppings. All of the tacos had a lot of flavor and the guac was freshly made (and there was a lot of it). Two comments: Things rack up quickly, this was a $35 meal. Let's start with the one redeeming quality: the meat was flavorful. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The tacos were absolutely drenched in sauce--so much so that I wouldn't be surprised if each one packed 1,000 calories in mayo alone. Both the steak and chicken tacos were unbearably heavy, making them impossible to finish. And the elote? It tasted like someone squeezed an entire tube of mayo onto it. To make matters worse, the tortillas were cold, greasy, and limp, completely ruining what could have been a great bite. It's a shame--such tasty meat deserved far better treatment. We were in Miami prior to a cruise and decided to try this place. We had to pay for parking in the garage nearby and then walked over to the restaurant. It's on a busy corner. When we arrived, there were not many there. We were instructed to order on the machine and then find a seat. We sat and then waited on our food. It didn't take too long before our food started to arrive when done. We had ramen, nachos, taco salad, and burrito. Everyone enjoyed their food.
