This might be the best Mexican restaurant in the area. Very authentic and delicious. The service is great and fairly quick even when they're busy. Which it certainly was on an early Sunday afternoon. However, they were able to accommodate our large group and everyone was delighted with their dishes. I had the sopa de res, and the caldo was delicious and I would absolutely recommend it.
Havent been here is a couple of years. All I can say is has not changed at all. Ambiance is a super laid back, like a hometown restaurant. The servers are efficient and quick from seating to eating. Food had good temperature, but the only thing was the lack of salt which I can gathered it must be added by the guest. The rest rooms are excellent and super clean. The prices are accomodating and reasonable. Although other brand named estaurants are near it, the homliness can't be beaten.
Of the restaurants we checked out on the Taco Crawl UYE Mio planned, this was my favorite! Portion sizes were pretty generous and well flavored. The staff was able to get a big table for our group right next to the window so we can enjoy the Calle Ocho people watching as well. This was a continuation of my recovery Sunday, and I'm glad that the menu had a larger variety than the previous stop. Our server started by bringing us complementary perfectly crispy chips and both green and red salsa. The red one, my favorite, was nicely spicy. The cochinita pibil order, garnished with pickled red onions, came out first as well as a delicious queso fundído I got to sample. My order was a very generous plate of chicken fajitas, with red refried beans and grilled veggies. Amplified by the salsa & pico, it was well flavored and sizeable enough that it can be had for takeout. As far as something, sweet, I had their batido de trigo (puffed wheat shake). It was refreshing and not excessively sweet. I definitely recommend this place!

Mi Rinconcito Mexicano is such a cute little taco spot in Little Havana and feels really authentic. I ordered the carne asada tacos and loved them. They're simple but so delicious, and they definitely don't skimp on the protein. They bring out chips and salsa to start, and the green salsa is spicy but I loved it. I also got the guacamole and it was really flavorful. I honestly think I just found my new taco spot. The service was great too. We got seated right away and everything came out quickly. Overall, a solid spot for amazing tacos and a casual, authentic vibe.
I honestly don't know how a raving Mexican food fanatic like me had never even heard of this spot, just a mile or so from home! Turns out it's super famous and everyone's been raving about it. I finally made the trip (through a torrential tropical storm, no less), and spoiler: totally worth it. Everything was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and made with love. As usual, I over-ordered, but no regrets... it reheated beautifully the next day. Already plotting my return to work my way through the extensive menu, thunderstorms and all.
We came here from a video recommendation. The staff was very friendly, honest and attentive. The margaritas were decent. I think they may be premixed as they don't have a bar. The steak tacos were good and authentic. They didn't skimp on the meat. The orange sauce is spicy so beware. It reminded me of a restaurant I'd visited in CDMX. Decorations and seating were nice. I had to change my order to go but the ambience was cool, music wasn't too loud. My only issue was that there wasn't any fish options on the menu. If you're craving authentic Mexican food (not Tex-Mex), then this is the spot for you! We were craving menudo and decided to stop by after a beach day. The menudo was delicious! The portions are great and the food is consistent. We came on Mother's Day and although they were busy, they sat us quickly and food came out without a long wait. We've been back here a few more times and have tried the tacos and some of the platters. Portions are huge! The vibes are also super cute with a sombrero wall and other fun decorations! There is a little bakery near the back that I suggest you stop by and grab some bakery items to go! So yummy!
This was our first time to this restaurant. Greeted at the door. Taken to our table, waitress made some excellent recommendations on some food selection. I noticed the bakery selection and to finish my meal with tres leches cake. So sorry I didn't take any pictures of our dinner. It was delicious. I had a bowl of caldo delicious res. My friend had the #3, lots of food, enchiladas, sopa, flautas, tostada. Lots of food on this plate...highly recommend
Came recommended by our Cuban hotel bartender and boy did he not miss. This place was everything and more. More of a local spot than a tourist spot which is awesome. Staff was great and on point. They were running around helping a packed restaurant. The walls dripping with Mexican culture backed up by the music of the same. The food was awesome. Authentic non Tex Mex. Really good food and definitely worth a visit.

Our favorites are: queso fundido con chorizo, guac, frijoles rancheros, nachitos, tacos revolcados, shrimp cocktail, the short rib platter, and you can't go wrong with any of the desserts. This place is family owned and 100% delicious if you're in the area. It's definitely not a tourist trap being on 8st but a staple in the neighborhood for many locals.
I moved to Miami from LA over 6 months ago and have been underwhelmed by the "Mexican" food, but I was on the hunt today, I knew what I was craving and what I wanted the ambiance to feel like and this definitely hit the spot! I knew from the decor, the rack of Mexican candy in the corner, the panaderia, and especially the rice in the salt shaker that this was going to be good. Traditional Mexican music playing in the background, families laughing, couples talking, friends catching up, all of it was very welcoming and felt comfortable, like home. One of the ladies greeted me with a smile as soon as I entered and was very attentive throughout, others even stopped by to check on me, making me feel like everyone who worked here truly cared. And yes, the food was good! My enchilada's were soaked in green sauce, and there was no hesitation with the cheese, exactly how I had hoped. And for someone that is not a fan of beans, these were good! Oh, and yes, there is free parking behind the restaurant, something you don't find in Miami.

There are only two things I eat at this restaurant and most certainly the Taco Salad / Ensalada de Tortilla will not be the third! Absolutely tasteless, flavorless and visually pathetic. Plus the fried flour tortilla shell may have well been fried two weeks ago by the lack and look of it. To attempt to enhance the flavor I ordered a side of refried beans which somewhat helped. Only to find out when it came to pay the bill, that tiny a$$ scoop of beans (3 tablespoons max) cost me $3.50! Never again! read more

Cute neighborhood Mexican restaurant on world famous Calle Ocho in Little Havana. The food and prices are great and will have you coming back and back again. Highly recommend the combo #2. So much food that two can share it. Love the quesadilla chilangas and dipping it into their fiery hot sauce. Don't forget to cool it down with a cold chelada. read more

I enjoy coming here to get my Mexican fix in every so often as Miami doesn't have too many Mexican spots. It makes sense considering there are so many other Latin cuisines in the area. We tried the chorizo nachos that we had last time and they once again did a fantastic job at tantalizing the taste buds. The cheese was melted and a great amount on top too. The Birria tacos were just alright but still yummy. I probably would try something else. Also important to know that the salsas served with the chips are both super spicy which is great for me but not so great for those that have issue for spice. There is a back parking lot if you bring your car but make sure you come at a good time. If not of course there is street parking on Lil' Havana. The waitresses are nice and I shall come back soon! read more
Quality Food with Quick Service. Would recommend this place for solid Mexican food. The menu is a bit chaotic and lots of options but overall food comes out fast. Restaurant was full and still service and food were quick. They even had a bakery snuck in the middle of the restaurant which when asked it's a completely separate place. Mi Rinconcito is a small, unassuming Mexican spot on Calle Ocho. Good margaritas and the guac and chips were a nice way to start the meal. The chicken quesadillas were ok though I would probably try something else next time. Ordered a taco plate too, didn't last long enough to take a pic though. I'd stop by again if in the area. read more

This spot serves up traditional flavors in a casual, no-frills environment. The guacamole, salsas, and house-made hot sauces are all fantastic--and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The food came out fast, and it wasn't too crowded when we went on a weekday evening. Bonus: there's a small parking lot behind the building for easy access. read more

Mi Rinconcito offers very delicious Mexican food that truly stands out. The combination plate was satisfactory , and I highly recommend getting a side of mole - it's a game changer. The mole is a blast of flavor and one of the few places where I've found it available. While the menu doesn't have many vegetarian options, my friend ordered the sopes. We also tried the barbacoa, which was good, although a bit on the dry side. The service was very quick and it was very busy. read more
I loved eating at Maria's restaurant. The food was spectacular, I had an enchilada de mole, the guacamole with chips, and salsa. One of my friends got the chilaquiles which were also so good. Everything was yummy, fresh, and authentic (I'm not Mexican but I know good mole and it was good ) Another great thing about this restaurant is that you feel you are with your family. Everyone is super friendly, the food comes quickly and it just feels homey. Would recommend for casual dinning or even for large casual dinner parties. It was el día de la virgen and they had an altar set up with roses and flowers. The restaurant is really nice and colorful with a bakery on the side. read more

They do not have tables outside. All the tables are inside so I do not think they allow pets.
How is the parking there? Does the restaurant have a lot or is it by meter?
