Of the restaurants we checked out on the Taco Crawl UYE Mio planned, this was my favorite! Portion sizes were pretty generous and well flavored. The staff was able to get a big table for our group right next to the window so we can enjoy the Calle Ocho people watching as well. This was a continuation of my recovery Sunday, and I'm glad that the menu had a larger variety than the previous stop. Our server started by bringing us complementary perfectly crispy chips and both green and red salsa. The red one, my favorite, was nicely spicy. The cochinita pibil order, garnished with pickled red onions, came out first as well as a delicious queso fundído I got to sample. My order was a very generous plate of chicken fajitas, with red refried beans and grilled veggies. Mi Rinconcito Mexicano is such a cute little taco spot in Little Havana and feels really authentic. I ordered the carne asada tacos and loved them. They're simple but so delicious, and they definitely don't skimp on the protein. They bring out chips and salsa to start, and the green salsa is spicy but I loved it. I enjoy coming here to get my Mexican fix in every so often as Miami doesn't have too many Mexican spots. It makes sense considering there are so many other Latin cuisines in the area. We tried the chorizo nachos that we had last time and they once again did a fantastic job at tantalizing the taste buds. The cheese was melted and a great amount on top too. The Birria tacos were just alright but still yummy. I probably would try something else. Also important to know that the salsas served with the chips are both super spicy which is great for me but not so great for those that have issue for spice. There is a back parking lot if you bring your car but make sure you come at a good time. If not of course there is street parking on Lil' Havana. Seeing how crowded it was and how fast the kitchen was pumping out plate after plate of homemade mexican food, I was super excited to try this place. The food was good and hit all the right spots but it didn't blow me away. The complimentary tray of chips were freshly fried and super crispy with a nice spicy homemade salsa and was probably the best thing we had. For entrees the two of us split an order of al pastor tacos and the flautas chorreadas (flautas filled with a potato and chorizo mixture and covered in salsa, we chose the salsa verde). The al pastor tacos had a generous portion of meat but didnt quite hit the grilled/smoky flavor, or the savory sweetness we expected from a really nice al pastor, and the meat couldve been a bit less dry. The flautas were super crispy with a pretty tasty potato mixture but the chorizo bits were so sparse; the salsa verde had a nice balance of acidity with just a little bit of heat but also couldve used a bit more flavor. Overall, food was alright and prices were definitely reasonable, but I was hoping for something a little more memorable from place that has such plentiful and good review. I did see a lot of people ordering weekend specials like the menudo, pozole, and entree size meat dishes, so I do hope to come back to sample some of their more exciting dishes and see if they live up to the hype! read more

First time but came because of recommendations. I'm from Texas and love Mexican food. There is parking in the side after you pass the restaurant entrance make sure to look to your left for the opening. The staff was friendly and sat me right away. What a cute place with Mexican decor all over the restaurant. I ordered the margarita on the rocks. It was just perfect. I also ordered Agua de Jamaica (Hibiscus Iced Tea).
