Honestly have mixed feelings because there's a lot to like about this spot like the service, vibes, flavors and affordable prices ($4.50 per taco). That said, we probably won't be coming back. -At the salsa/sauce bar to top your tacos, everything had visibly been sitting out all day and looked super bad, so we skipped it (which was disappointing since we love adding all the ferments and spices) -The elote (street corn) was old and mushy, tasted boiled but maybe a few days ago? -The food came out way too fast, less than 5 minutes after we ordered. So right away knew it's not made fresh to order. -A few pesky fruit flies/gnats were buzzy around our table while we tried to eat, which just makes things feel dirty. If you have the right expectations coming here (affordable fast food with way better ambience, flavor, and options than the Taco Bell next door), you'll probably be very happy. Me and my friends came here at 130am. Before close. There was one woman working the tables and she was awesome! She quickly served us! I got three tacos and rice/beans. Overall - it hit!!! My favorite part was the salsa bar. I love salsa and being able to try different ones was really nice. They had different version of verde salsa. I tried all of them :) Tacos were good. Someone told me they had a new location that was closer in, so I had to drop in. Love that they also have a parking lot in the back! I came in with a big group and they staff moved the tables to accommodate us. I ordered a Mexican coke and a burrito. We had a large group, so it took a really long time to get our food. Sadly I never received my coke. I wasn't charged for it so I'm good. I finally received my burrito close to the last dish even though I was one of the first to order. The burrito was pretty good. As an entree I had the tacos which were on special since it was Tuesday. They were authentic Mexican tacos. The chorizo tacos were better than the carne asada imo. The carne asada was a bit on the dry aside while the chorizo was juicy and had lots of flavor to it. My friends each had a burrito and one of them said it was soo good that she can literally hug the chef. Overall, this is a great spot to have a late night bite with some friends. The only thing that wasn't great was the bathroom, my friend said the floor was all wet. Maybe a bit more attention to the restroom would be great. On top of that my breakfast burrito also wasn't the best. I asked for steak, potatoes egg and cheese. There were no potatoes, no cheese. Just steak and one full fried egg. It wasn't even scrambled. As they do sit directly on a busy street. The salsa bar had delectable sauces and topping for the tacos and burritos. I had the platter (which is cheeped that ordering 3 tacos). It came with Eric's, beans, protein, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo and cheese. With 4 tortillas so you can make your own tacos. As soon as I saw the menu I was excited because they have so many delicious dishes available. Both of us opted for a torta - pastor & carnitas. They were both really good! The bread was amazing. It's not bad if you're hungry and in the area, but there could definitely be some improvements. If it were for the dessert torta and salsa alone, the review would be higher. The salsa itself was a decent sized helping of fresh cut tomatoes, cilantro and onions. It definitely tasted fresh! The torta was perfectly fluffy and not overwhelmingly sweet. However, the chips themselves were not very crispy, i.e. as if they were "undercooked". The burrito while overall tasty, could have had a little more sauce. It was a little on the bland side.
