Monty's was a must-visit when I planned my trip back to Miami! My trip was perfect timing, because it was right when stone crab season was! Me and my friend split stone crab, the conch fritters, as well as the shrimp pasta. Everything was delicious! The shrimp pasta particularly surprised me in a good way! For my drink, I ordered the Tsunami and got the Coconut! So cute and fun, although it was a hassle getting it back home! I loved the drink as well! Not too strong, but definitely gets you feeling it after a little. Highly recommend Monty's to anyone visiting Miami! Especially during stone crab season!

Monty's is nostalgic as a UM alum. We spent plenty of Fridays here and plenty of happy hours. Stopped in while in town to get a glimpse of the past and Monty's has not changed at all - except the wait time! It was such a long wait time (2.5 hours) and out table was ready in 20 min - like how can you be so off? Nevertheless we got seated, the vibe was the same as back in college. Service was pretty good. The brick of curly fries was a disappointment - it used to be an actual brick :( Miami vices and other food was descents. Parking is great. Terrific place to reminisce. Key lime pie is a must

My first stone crab! The meal was delicious- from the soup to the fish and crab and lastly the dessert. Last meal in Miami! Service was great and ambiance- well we were by the harbor so what else can I say? Try this place out! 4.4 stars

Fun atmosphere, that includes great music, and excellent service. The food is delicious and well prepared.

The oysters were good and I liked the mignonette! The Rockefeller oysters were more cheese than oyster, so I don't think I would personally order them again. It was nice to try though! My friend and I enjoyed the seafood ceviche. Everything was very fresh. The yucca fries were a perfect side for everything. I think our mojitos were my favorite! Very refreshing and delicious. The service was great! Our server David was really friendly and my friend and I had a great time! I would come back for the oysters and mojitos!

Delicious food, great beach vibes, and fantastic food! The staff are friendly and the food hits the spot! Their fish tacos are super filling and flavorful. The prices are pretty good for the amount of food you receive but it's not too cheap either. There is a parking lot right in front where they validate your ticket up to 3 hours free! I love the boats, the scenery, and the Miami Beach vibes. They also play live music on the weekends! P.S - They do not have their brunch specials anymore or the $5 mimosas I asked and they haven't been around for a while now. Just FYI (: Highly recommend to anyone!

Recommended by a local and so glad we got lunch here. Vibe was casual, sports bar on the water. Had a few beers and a watermelon mojito which was excellent. The ahí tuna tacos were surprisingly excellent I need to have them again in my life. Service was spot on , always popping up when I needed another drink. Def going to be my stop to watch the Panthers lose in the future while in Miami

Five stars for a raw bar/sports bar on the docks? Yep. Why? Grilled octopus and a to-order raw bar cart with oysters, crab and clams. Add to that a full menu at the restaurant and you've got a great experience for seafood in a relaxed atmosphere and what looks like a great place to watch football. Will definitely return the next time I have a weekend in Miami during football season.

Perfect happy hour for a date night! We got stone crabs, mussels, oysters and 2 cocktails. The seafood was very fresh. You enter and walk over to the seafood bar where you select all the shellfish your heart desires and pay in cash or zelle. Then you can take a seat at any of the tables and get drinks delivered to your table. Please note that they are 2 separate transactions & you can't order the shellfish at the table. It's a huge tiki bar vibe on a marina so you have a slight view of the water in between the marina gates. A nice pregame to our date night of bopping around coconut grove. They will also validate your parking up to a few hours.

Large stone crab claw. Worst ever!! Not the place to go for claws. Does this look like a Large stone crab claw? Terrible!
    Robert R.

I feel compelled to start with the negative. I specifically went for the stone crabs. Ordered the LG platter. $64.95 for 4 claws. They were terrible. Awful. Small. Waste of money. See picture. I will NEVER go there again for stone crabs. Now for the positive. Good attentive service by my waitress. The chicken, bacon, avocado sandwich with side of fries was delicious. Best fries I've had in a while. Also enjoyed the lobster bisque soup. Was delicious. Back to the stone crabs. There quality assurance on purchasing their inventory needs a total overhaul. Terrible claws!!

I've been to Monty's a bunch of times with friends and it's one of those places that works whether you're grabbing an easy dinner or easing into a night out. It's not where I'd go for a fancy food moment, but it does the trick if you're craving something filling and delicious! Now, to be fair, I've never tried the more expensive seafood dishes so maybe I'm missing out on something fancy! I usually stick to the burgers, tacos, and obviously the fish and chips. And listen, I'm not even a fried food girl, but Monty's fish and chips?? Say less. Golden, crispy, and exactly what you want when you're hungry and vibing. Also not a huge sweet drink person, but the Frosé? (Frozen Rose' lightly sweetened) Yeah... I get it now. Lightly sweet, icy, and weirdly perfect after a hot day in Miami. The location is also gold. You can start your night with a walk by the water, have your food and drinks, take another little walk, and either get ready to go out or just keep wandering and chill by the water before calling it a night. It has that nice balance of not being too touristy, but still the kind of place you'd absolutely bring friends or family if they're visiting for the first time. The staff has always been super chill and friendly, and the music is at a nice volume so you can actually talk without shouting. Good food, great location, and no stress. That's my kind of place!

You enter an immersive world that really outshines any tiki bar to which I've ever been. The magic radiates out of every nook and cranny. That was complimented by our bartender, Billy, knocking out some perfect killer classics, like a real Mai Tai, and Navy Grog, that, post the 1950s became kind of sugar filled, over-the-top mockeries of the Tiki cocktail arts. No mockery here. Just the old school magic. It's a very analog, and thankfully honest, unhipster revival for a generation who knows not of Bali Hai, Don the Beachcomber, the Mai Kai, and San Francisco's once-great, now seedy Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar, at the Fairmont Hotel, on Nob Hill. The crowd, including the regulars, were a lot of fun. In all, a really awesome evening! Five stars, for all of that, and a sixth for the memories.

I used to go to the club in my college years. After the hotel was sold, the club moved to the Rocky Horror venue in Coconut Grove. In 1999 after that closed too, the club became a roaming pop up at different South Florida venues. Which is how I came to be at Bar Nancy in Little Havana on a Saturday night. They host a monthly Kitchen Club night. Almost everything was closed in Little Havana by the time I arrived so it was surprisingly easy to find metered street parking only two blocks away. Bar Nancy did not have a cover charge which was nice. The bar is decorated like a pirate ship with many nautical touches. It is named for the brigantine Nancy, which transported war supplies during the American Revolution. The room the bar is located in was small, dark, hot, and crowded. Many people enjoyed themselves on the dance floor in front of the DJ. They also have a backyard area that was popular. My favorite room was the one between the two. It was decorated like the Captains quarters with a couch and comfortable chairs. I could still enjoy the music and more importantly, the air conditioning. During the night I had a delicious Amaretto Sour. Despite the dive bar surroundings, it was a hefty $15. While that is expensive for a cocktail, it was a small price to pay to relive my youth for one evening.

I talked the friendly valet into letting me park between a handicap space and a dumpster. The service was awful. It was 1:30 pm and there were about 15 customers with capacity for 100+. I was given a menu and a glass of water timely and the lady behind the bar seemed friendly. There were plenty of staff around waiting tables and backing the bar. I ordered a blackened fish sandwich and a draft beer. The beer came right away in a plastic mug. The pour was less than 12 oz. (small mug) and the brew was barely chilled. Almost room temperature. After 20 minutes and no fish sandwich, the bar lady came by and asked me: "Did you get your fish sandwich?" I said no. She then went in the main building (presumably where the kitchen is located) coming out a few minutes later while holding up 2 fingers, mouthing "2 minutes." The sandwich was $22 without fries (which were and extra $9 as a side). I didn't order those. The half-pint warm beer was $8. About 7 minutes later, another server came from the main building and delivered a scrawny, soggy bun containing a thick, small, undercooked, hunk of blackened fish flesh only 80% skin free. I had to finish the filleting myself. The toppings were parsley and onion. It was the ugliest and most tasteless blackened fish sandwich I have ever been served. I should've taken a photo. Anyway, by this point, I was in a hurry to get out of there as the place was a total fail. I picked at the fish with my fork and knife and ate the part that was actually meat and cooked, leaving the rest (skin included) and the soggy bun on the plate. With an 18% gratuity included, a simple grilled fish sandwich with no sides and a warm beer came out to almost $40. On the positive side, the view of the water and the Miami - Brickell skyline was good. However, I won't be coming back to this joint again. If I could give it Zero stars, I would.
