We were there for an event on the patio, so I never got to go inside, but the outside is cute. Murals and statues definitely add to the feel that you're in Wynwood, and the outrageous prices will definitely remind you that Miami is trying to be New York. First time here, came for a concert. Love this place. The vibe is great! It's hidden and small like a dive bar but I wouldn't call it that. Indoors is comfortable with booths to enjoy their awesome pizza and whatnot. They have a full bar serviced by very friendly bartenders. The whole staff was really very nice and welcoming to us older folks, probably not their usual crowd. The outdoor patio area was perfect for a concert. Okay hear me out. As a bar, gramps fills most of the clichés I dislike about Wynwood. Way too loud, feels a little too manufactured, etc. BUT. They have no business making pizza this good!! They have a whole menu of very delicious and reasonably priced pizzas. You order at the bar and can take it to sit at a booth or outside. We opted for outside and there was a stage and a drag show. Came here for a live performance of my friends band, clean cut band, and had such a great time. This place is exactly like I remember, with a beautiful indoor outdoor vibe and a permanent pizza food truck inside on site. The pizza is honestly delicious. It's nice and cool with large fans and there's plenty of space to dance or find a table they also have an indoor area as well as the secondary bar, the Shirly, in the back which was hosting the actual live performance. It was strong, tangy, and not overly sweet, which is usually the case with frozen margaritas. My favorite drink was the bartender's creation - the Melon Magician - a refreshing cocktail that featured yogurt. This was The Perfect Cocktail. The low-key vibes of Gramps were just what we were looking for in Miami. Parking on a Saturday night was nonexistent, so I definitely recommend taking a rideshare. I just learned that Gramps is closing in January, and it occurred to me that I'd never once put my experience into writing. In truth, it has been... middling. On my first visit, the music was lively, the drinks delightful--very much in line with Miami's reputation for cocktails that sparkle brighter than their patrons. My second visit, however, brought a rude awakening: the very same signature drinks that had once dazzled now tasted as if they had been phoned in from across town. Despite this, Gramps became a default rendezvous point. Over time, though, our enthusiasm waned, and we quietly stopped ordering drinks altogether. It's difficult to justify the prices when what's in the glass tastes like a halfhearted afterthought. Am I devastated by the news of its closure? Not in the slightest. Perhaps in its place, something more consistent, imaginative, and--dare I say--cool will arise. Until then, farewell to Gramps: a bar that always promised more than it ever delivered. It is a no frills kind of thing, but it is good enough and as to be expected. They have different kinds, and something for meat eaters or vegetarians alike. They do charge the 18% tip but the staff deserve it with great service they give. The drinks here are the cheapest in all of wynwood as well especially during the weekdays or happy hour. Came here on a Monday night with a friend of mine and I was impressed with how beautiful the outdoor space was when we entered. They had standup karaoke night outside, but first we went inside, grabbed drinks, took photos in the photo booth and went back outside to watch. We literally just grabbed one drink here, but it was just being able to sit outside on a warm Miami night and watch people enjoy their money night that got us happy about coming here. Ooof I hate to do negative reviews; so... so, we are walking in Wynwood; and I hear Rock music; I think; that would be a good idea next time my business partners are in Miami; get in; my wife and and I buy a drink; tip 50% to make sure the bartender likes me; we start drinking while a band rehearses. A bouncer or security person approached us; stating it was an event (paid I guess); my wife and I start thinking of paying the fee; I tell the staff member I'm going to finish my drink and leave; all good. Then this person part of "security" with glassy eyes approached us and said we had to leave; I said yes; absolutely; we are finishing our drinks and we are going to leave; we hear back; "is there a problem sir?" we respond no at all; we are going to leave; and "chug" our drinks; at this point forget about business partners and bringing good money to the place. We need to leave thru the bar; a very nice person is guarding the door; I make a comment about this person; he acknowledges and apologizes for the strange behaving person; next thing; this guy is following us; my wife gets upset; I asked her to leave to leave the place; the guy is still following; we get nervous and start walking out; he is still behind us saying something we didn't understand; at this point we wanted out; people is looking at us... we get out of the establishment; he is still saying things we didn't understand; a drunk guy start intervening; we are out. spoke to another person at the entrance door who was very understanding. As is clear; I cannot give any rating but one star to a business that has people working under the influence of who knows what (I really hope he was; because the alternative is worst), and with no checks and balances. Final tally; ruined afternoon; never going back; would not recommend to anybody; way better options in the neighborhood; with no random accostment. In my opinion; it is the management fault for hiring a kid with problems; and therefore it is a reflection of the way they manage the business. Will not come back. read more

Finally made my way to gramps! Went on a Thursday night so was able to see amazon Drag performances with great music selection I must say. Their pizza is sooo good I kept getting slices lol. This is a great place to chill and have drinks. Even tho it was outside the place gets great cool wind. I'm a cider girl and I really enjoyed there Pear cidar they offer. I had not been to gramps since 2019 as I had avoided the wynwood area in general because of COVID-19! However, I randomly went for dinner in the area yesterday with a small group of friends and we decided to go to Gramps for a final drink. I was pleasantly surprised by the strict COVID-19 measures they had in place. Gramps is limiting capacity and enforcing a staying in place measure where each group must stay at their tables and order food/drink via their phones (QR code). The server will come and drop off your food/ drinks once it's ready which from my experience was very quick! I've been coming to Gramps on occasion for a few years now! We mostly come for the Liverpool games, which are incredibly fun! There is always a great fan base full of LFC supporters, and it's just an overall fun environment to watch games in. It's also nice because there is both indoor and outdoor areas to hang out in, so you're great to go in all climates. The outdoor patio is super cute and has very fun, tiki-like vibes. And there is always music playing, so it's really nice to come hang out and drink with friends. My go-to drink here is their Moscow Mule. It is by far the best Moscow Mule I have had anywhere in my life. I don't know what they do, but it's perfect. They must use extra fresh ginger, because the ginger taste is so fresh and delicious.
