This was a really cool bar I stumbled upon whilst walking through Wynwood. It had great energy and a decent drink selection at the bar. There's ample space since it's outside and there's even a stage for people to perform. I think there's a decent amount of places to sit but I'd see this as more of a place you stop by for a drink and keep going,

Fun place. They serve pizza and drinks. Good music and fun place for dancing. Friendly staff.

Good cocktails and a fun vibe!

Cool bar with indoor and outdoor spaces offering multiple seating options. We sat outside at a table adjacent to a small indoor bar where we ordered good creative cocktails and other bevs. My wife and I order pizza which was really good. The bar staff were fun, friendly, efficient. The place looks kinda Tiki, but isn't. They got creative and came up with a suitable "fruity drink" my wife wanted, which I appreciated. There are things going on in other parts of the bar that we didn't experience. So go and explore what appeals to you!

We were there for an event on the patio, so I never got to go inside, but the outside is cute. Murals and statues definitely add to the feel that you're in Wynwood, and the outrageous prices will definitely remind you that Miami is trying to be New York. Service was super friendly if not fast, and other than the trash accumulation from the people as the night went on, the place itself was clean and neat. Drinks were good, food was good, nothing not to like.

Ordered food at the bar and it was a pleasant experience. The pizza was good. Fries were the best. Wings were very tasty. Happy hour starts at 4. Awesome service and awesome ambiance! Be careful if you sit in the booths as there is a bar you are likely to hit your leg on if not aware. Gramps is fire other than that!

First time here, came for a concert. Love this place. The vibe is great! It's hidden and small like a dive bar but I wouldn't call it that. Indoors is comfortable with booths to enjoy their awesome pizza and whatnot. They have a full bar serviced by very friendly bartenders. The whole staff was really very nice and welcoming to us older folks, probably not their usual crowd. The outdoor patio area was perfect for a concert. There's enough room to move about and some seating. Be back soon!

Last night we went with friends to see a local Motown band called the Swayzes at Gramps. Located in Wynwood, Gramps gave a Key West dive bar feel. We ordered their honey garlic chicken wings with French fries and were surprised on how good it tasted. Loved the energy and vibe of this place.

Okay hear me out. As a bar, gramps fills most of the clichés I dislike about Wynwood. Way too loud, feels a little too manufactured, etc. BUT. They have no business making pizza this good!! They have a whole menu of very delicious and reasonably priced pizzas. You order at the bar and can take it to sit at a booth or outside. We opted for outside and there was a stage and a drag show. Fun! The pizza was delicious. For Wynwood, the price for the quality can't be beat. You will never catch me here for a drink, but I will be back many times for a delicious slice of pizza!

Mike at Gramps was hands down amazing! We've had a mediocre experience since arriving in Miami and Mike and the whole crew at Gramps has revived our whole trip! The Gramps mule with fresh ginger was next level amazing...best mule I've ever had! The pizza with handmade dough was *chefs kiss* fabulous! Mike was personable and made me want to refer anyone I know to drop into Gramps!! U

Came here for a live performance of my friends band, clean cut band, and had such a great time. This place is exactly like I remember, with a beautiful indoor outdoor vibe and a permanent pizza food truck inside on site. The pizza is honestly delicious. It's nice and cool with large fans and there's plenty of space to dance or find a table they also have an indoor area as well as the secondary bar, the Shirly, in the back which was hosting the actual live performance. This feels like a secret venue inside of venue, and was perfect for hosting an intimate crowd. We had such a great time here and can't wait to come back.

*DAY TIME REVIEW* I only had a cocktail and it was 2pm on a Thursday. Best Piňa Colada I have had in a longgggggg time. Definitely a creeper. Hints of nutmeg and pure coconut cream made this excellent!

Great chill spot for bar food and drinks! Great service and friendly staff. Will return when they have live music.

Is it 21+? cuz there's this show at 7pm and me and my friends are only 14 years old💀

    21 and older

    Is it 18+?

I do not think so as they check IDs on entering.

Are they still hosting karaoke nights? If so, when?

    Thursdays

What kind of music is played? Do they play Latin music at all?

Different nights have different types of music. Rarely have I heard anything Latin. On the opposite side of the block is El Patio. Go there for Latin music, but just know that the douchebagery element will be increased tenfold.

Before 10pm is it still 21+? Also is there a cover? I'm thinking about having a chill birthday here, thanks.

The main patio is all ages from 11am to sundown. The inside bar area is always 21+. Once it gets later, the main patio also becomes 21+. Most of our events are free, unless otherwise posted in advance.

Hi. How is it at gramps tomorrow night?

Monday-Thursday it is pretty chill and a little empty. Friday-Sunday you could expect a larger crowd inside.

    What's the age requirement?

21+, unless otherwise noted on a show announcement. Children, only when accompanied by adult an parent or legal guardian, prior to 10pm are ok, under most circumstances, subject to manager approval.

This would be a great after work catch-up-on-stuff spot if you guys had wifi! Do you offer public wifi?

    Yes!

After a little searching, I came across Elevar Wynwood and I'm glad I did. One of the first things I appreciated was finding parking right out front. The rooftop sits atop the AC Hotel Miami Wynwood and offers a spacious, clean, and well lit atmosphere. The views are decent and the overall setup is impressive. There are plenty of tables, comfortable lounge areas, a full bar, a grill, cabanas, a pool, and even additional lounge space to spread out and relax. What surprised me most was that it was not overly busy for a Saturday night, which made for a more laid back experience. My bartender, whose name I unfortunately forgot, was excellent. She was sweet, personable, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout the evening. We only stopped in for drinks. I ordered the Bourbon Night, made with Bulleit Bourbon, raspberry, peach, orange bitters, and rosemary. It was flavorful, balanced, and definitely had a solid bourbon kick. My friend ordered the Paloma, which comes with tequila, grapefruit, lime, and grapefruit soda. He later switched to a vodka version and enjoyed that one even more. Overall, we had a great time. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service was excellent, and the venue offers much more than just drinks. If you are looking for a rooftop spot in Wynwood that is comfortable, clean, and not overly crowded, this is worth checking out. I would absolutely come back, and after seeing the property, I would even consider staying at the hotel on a future trip.

Unfortunately, when we arrived, the rooftop was completely closed. The chairs were still up, there was no bartender, and no staff members were present. We called to let someone know we had arrived and were told to wait a few minutes because the team was wrapping up breakfast service downstairs in the lobby. We waited approximately 30 minutes and called again because no one had come to take our order or provide any update. After our second call, we were told that someone would come speak with us. Kayla then came up to the rooftop and sincerely apologized for the situation. She explained that the restaurant was severely understaffed after three employees had recently quit, and the remaining team members were doing the best they could while covering multiple roles. Kayla suggested that we place our order downstairs and assured us she would personally bring our food up to the rooftop. We ordered burgers, and while we waited, she kindly provided complimentary drinks. Throughout the entire experience, Kayla was professional, attentive, and extremely gracious. She handled a difficult situation with a positive attitude and made us feel valued as guests. It was clear that the issue was not with Kayla or the staff who showed up that day. In fact, there were only three people working brunch: Kayla, the chef, and the waiter. Considering the circumstances, they did an incredible job. Kayla truly made the best of a bad situation and deserves recognition for her efforts. My disappointment is with management's handling of reservations. If the rooftop was not ready to receive customers at opening, reservations should not have been accepted, or guests should have been notified in advance. We drove all the way from Tampa to visit Elevar, and it was frustrating to arrive on time for our reservation only to find the venue unavailable and have to wait for service to begin. That said, the rooftop is a really cute spot with a great atmosphere, and there was plenty of convenient street parking. Because of Kayla's outstanding service and the effort made by the small team working that day, we would absolutely return. We just hope management takes steps to ensure guests are properly informed in the future and that staffing issues do not impact the customer experience the way they did during our visit. Kayla was fantastic. The situation was not. She turned what could have been a completely negative experience into one that still left us wanting to come back.

Instead, I stumbled upon Koana Tiki Bar--a hidden little chamber of tropical enchantment tucked away from the ordinary world. As Miami's only tiki bar, Koana is surprisingly well themed. It is a smaller establishment, which explains why reservations are required, but the intimate setting only adds to the charm. Once inside, the outside world seems to disappear beneath warm lighting, exotic décor, and the unmistakable feeling that something mysterious is being prepared behind the bar. The food is available, but Koana truly shines through its drink menu. The team has clearly done its research and assembled some serious heavy hitters. My companions and I visit whenever we're in Miami, and we've sampled nearly every drink on the menu. I have yet to encounter a bad one. They are fairly priced for Miami, though their strength should not be underestimated. These are not casual refreshments--they are potent little potions disguised as tropical cocktails. The staff is always kind, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. They're happy to explain the drinks and guide you toward something that suits your taste, whether you seek something sweet, sour, smoky, fruity, or powerful enough to summon your ancestors. During my visit, I combined several ingredients from the menu into a highly experimental concoction. After one sip, my allergies vanished completely. After the second, I could smell colors. By the third, I was convinced the palm trees were speaking to me in ancient tongues. I have no idea what was in that drink, but my sinuses were clear, my spirit was elevated, and I briefly achieved enlightenment beneath a decorative tiki mask. Reservations are essential, the drinks are strong, and the bar is small--but Koana is absolutely worth seeking out. Just be certain you're prepared for whatever spirits may answer when you raise your glass.

Guess the insight here is Kaona draws folks who so totally want to be there and participate in the nightly celebrations that it becomes contagious, spreading from table to table with smiles, laughter, and cameras. Oh yeah, and did I mention the cocktails? I feel the term 'artisan' is so overused nowadays that I avoid using it, so can we just go with the Bill & Ted description that Kaona's tiki drinks are "Most Excellent!" Will non Gen-Xers get that last reference???
