We came here just by luck I guess... we had just parked and were going to walk to Giralda and.see were we could stop for a good late night meal and a few drinks. We got off the car and hear the music from their outdoor terrace, (Ró's), and decided to take a closer look. The restaurant is beautiful and it actually has great prices. We decided to stay here. Table was available immediately. The decor is beautiful and welcoming, a mix of Steakhouse decor but with a much modern look and design. Music is not your average... and it was also at a good volume to enjoy a conversation but to vibe to the music as well. Needless to say they have awesome cocktails and a beautiful bar area. The menu is perfect... lots of steak dishes but also seafood. Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked. - Scallops appetizer - Pistachio crusted tuna (very good) - Hamburger as it comes (medium rare) it was really good. My one thing would be that the French fries that it comes with were soggy. (That sucks). But everything else was on point. Service is super attentive without being intrusive. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt off. I'm not sure if the woman we interacted with was the manager or a shift lead, but she wasn't very welcoming or approachable. We also ran into some friends we hadn't seen in a while, and they shared the same impression. Our waitress was pleasant, but the service wasn't anything memorable, especially for what I'd consider a nicer restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was just average. I came here with a friend on a Monday afternoon. We parked on the street and paid for an hour of parking. We were sat immediately by the hostess. There were just two other tables seated in the dining room. They gave us a "Taste of the Gables" menu and a drink menu. It's "Taste of the Gables" for the month of July. It's a pretty good deal; $35 for a three course meal. You choose an appetizer from 4 options, then your entree from 4 options, and then a dessert from 2 options. My friend chose the artichoke hearts as her appetizer and I chose the Hamachi Tiradito as mine. We both chose the Branzino as our entrees. I had the cheesecake as my dessert and she chose the chocolate lava cake. They brought a basket of rolls to the table. I stuck with water. My friend ordered an iced tea. The waiter came back and said they didn't have iced tea. He said they only have hot tea. So we asked if they could just pour it over ice... I'm shocked to think that both our waiter and the kitchen staff don't know that that's how all iced tea is made! "Iced tea" doesn't come iced! Every restaurant brews tea and then they pour it over a glass of ice. It took a while for her tea to come out. The food was delicious! We loved it. The appetizers were amazing and the Branzino was so well prepared and flavorful! We loved it. Unfortunately, the broccoli was very "charred" tasting. It tasted really "smoky". Not good. We didn't eat all of it. It was weird. I got my dessert to go. My friend had hers there, since it comes with ice cream. But it was taking so long I had to add another ten minutes to parking. She asked for another iced tea. That took so long that I had to add another ten minutes. We asked for the check. We waited and waited. I left my credit card with my friend and went to use the restroom. When I returned he still hadn't brought the check! She asked him for it AGAIN! Then he finally brought it. In the meantime I had to add another ten minutes to the parking. It really shouldn't take an hour and a half for a meal when you're not sitting around just chatting afterwards, or having coffee. Most of the time there was waiting. For this reason I gave the food 5 stars, but I gave the service 2 stars. It could definitely use some improvement. The man helping, ie: pouring our water, clearing our plates, bringing out my dessert, etc, was wonderful! He should have been waiting on us instead of the young guy. The cheesecake was delicious too! To is a wonderful establishment. The room is very dark the furniture is heavy and the staff is friendly enough. The food is always delicious and they have the Spinalis for $5.50 per oz. This trip I got the Beef Wellington as a main. This is the only restaurant I have ever seen Beef Wellington's without the pork between the pastry and the beef. It was very delicious and I would get again. I had the bone marrow kissed scallops for an appetizer. The scallop had a bit of a crust while still being tender on the inside. There was like a red pepper coulis on the bottom of the plate that really made the dish pop. My concerns are that the happy hour appetizer prices are not discounts just a smaller sized portion and the tip number was not related to the subtotal on the bill ..:. This is a nice date night spot. The vibes are very chic with lit up walls, dim lights and comfortable seating. The music was pretty loud, upbeat house music, which I liked because I couldn't hear other people's conversations and was able to just vibe. The buzz about this place must still be pretty strong because even with reservations, everyone was asked to wait for tables to clear up. The hostesses kept trying to push the empty outside patio to people and offered the bar as a waiting spot. My husband and I opted to wait at the bar. We sat for a good while and were never acknowledged. After waiting about fifteen minutes or so, we went back to wait for our table to open up sans drinks. Once seated, however, our waitress was very attentive. I believe her name was Tess. We ordered cocktails which were DELICIOUS and two appetizers; the ribeye chicharrón and the bone marrow. They were pretty good, nothing out of this world, but definitely good. Although this restaurant is a steakhouse, their sides were the stars of the night. The Parmesan Truffle Potatoes Au Gratin were absolutely delicious and so was the macaroni! The steaks didn't really measure up to the sides! We got the cafe crusted steak and the ribeye. They were OK. The ribeye wasn't as thick as I normally like it and the fat was a little tough. We were stuffed after eating so many things that dessert wasn't even an option for us, but the restaurant kindly surprised us with a little anniversary dessert. It was such a nice touch and the presentation was beautiful. Overall, I enjoyed this as a date night spot more than anything. I visited RO Steakhouse in Coral Gables for happy hour and came away with mixed impressions. The happy hour menu is fairly limited, and there's 50% off signature cocktails. What i absolutely loved was the ribeye chicharrones. They were outstanding--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and packed with rich, beefy flavor. The restaurant has a sophisticated, upscale ambiance, and the bar is especially beautiful. My only critique is that the lighting was a bit too dark for my taste. While it creates an intimate atmosphere, I would have preferred it to be slightly brighter or possibly outdoor seating. Service at the bar was pleasant. Dear friends took my husband and I went to RO Steakhouse to celebrate our anniversary and we were honestly beyond impressed! From check-in, to service, to the food, five stars all around. The martinis were perfectly made, which I really appreciate, and everything we ordered just kept getting better. We tried the branzino and the ribeye chicharrón, and while both were great, the ribeye was definitely the star. We also had the RO Cowboy steak. It comes with two generous pieces of delicious bone marrow. We asked for it cooked medium, and it came out PERFECT. Amazing seasoning, incredible quality, and easily some of the best cut of meat we've had. The sides were just as good. The potato au gratin was rich, creamy, and honestly addictive. The truffle risotto was superb! I wish I had space for more and more, but had to make room for dessert. Dessert completely sealed the deal. Our server recommended the corn-shaped dessert and WOW. It looks exactly like corn but tastes like sweet corn with dulce de leche and vanilla ice cream inside. So unique, slightly mind-blowing, and absolutely delicious. I'd order it again without hesitation. And somehow, the Basque cheesecake was even yummier. So, so good. All ambiance, no substance. That's how I would describe the dining experience we encountered here. Drinks were good, probably the only thing of note. Food was pretty mediocre, the Ribeye Chicharron appetizer looked good but was essentially overcooked meat on top of guac, with a side of tiny tortillas. My New York strip also looked great but also lacked flavor, the roasted garlic and steak sauce were doing the majority of the heavy lifting. And then there was the truffled potatoes au gratin; picture perfect, but were really swimming in an oily broken cheese sauce beneath the crust. I spared you the image. Service was adequate but became snippy when a misunderstanding came up when the bill was asked to be split. The service was good, but it was hard to track down our waiter since we were sitting far from everyone else at the restaurant. Now the food was delicious! Unfortunately, they had run out by the time we arrived, which was surprising for a Wednesday night, not even a weekend. Disappointing, to say the least. The bread and butter at the beginning is nice since other places now tend to charge for bread. The flaming cheese, filet, and spicy rigatoni was good. The corn dessert was unique. I can't even describe the taste but I think it was good. I think the prices were good for being a Miami steakhouse. Newly opened in the Coral Gables area, Ro Steakhouse provided a whole culinary experience. From the food to the service ( shout out to Yuham, our server), it was an exceptional dinner. I was fortunate enough to try multiple plates for dinner and I would recommend each one + the coconut mojito I ordered first. From the hot starters the sierra flamed cheese is great for those cheese lovers- served with tortilla, it's nice and melty. The branzino chicharrón was so good with the leche de Tigre and I think the portion can definitely be for more than two people. From the cold starters the tuna tataki was fresh and flavorful. From the seafood- the grilled octopus is a must try item. It was one of the best I've had! Moving on to the meats, the fire & bone tacos were a close second to the octopus as my top choice. The plate brings two tacos but they were hearty and I could probably have just eaten that and be okay. Probably not enough for someone that can eat more. As my main dish I ordered the ribeye which was cooked exactly to my liking by the time I got to it, I was already getting full from trying everything else but still I went on to try the asparagus, broccolini and Brussel sprouts as the side dishes. If you have to pick one- do the Brussels sprouts! As far as desserts, they had four options. The cheesecake was a big portion for me and on the sweeter side. It wasn't something I could eat by myself no matter how good it was. The other dessert was the lava cake with pistachio ice cream.... that ice cream was top notch and I could have had that by itself. RO Steakhouse absolutely DELIVERED. We were supposed to come last weekend for my boyfriend's bday, but life had other plans and we were feeling a little under the weather. Fast forward to yesterday... we finally made it in, and WOW, was it worth the wait. From the second we walked into RO Steakhouse, we were greeted warmly at the host stand and taken straight to our table. Let's talk ambiance for a second because... MOODY. SEXY. STUNNING. The lighting, the vibe, the energy... it's dark and intimate without feeling stuffy. The bar alone is a showstopper. We were seated in these super comfortable chairs with actual back pillows (10/10 lol my spine was THRIVING). Almost immediately, our waiter Frank came over... and honestly, shoutout Frank because he was AMAZING. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful since it was our first time here. I ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail (which was great), and we started with appetizers. We were torn between the ribeye chicharrón and the branzino, and Frank steered us toward the branzino... and THANK GOD he did. Those branzino bites were the STAR of the appetizers. Perfectly crispy little nuggets of fried branzino served with leche de tigre and a red pepper sauce... absolutely unreal. The presentation was gorgeous, and you could tell the fish was cleaned, prepped, and fried to perfection. I'm still thinking about it. The carpaccio? SO good. The kale salad? Listen... this was not a sad kale salad (lol). Raisins, shredded cheese, walnuts, grapefruit, and a vinaigrette that tied everything together beautifully. I don't even remember the exact vinaigrette, I just know it WORKED. For mains, Adam got the RO Cowboy steak, which came with two pieces of bone marrow, and I got the Kansas City steak. I came to see what the buzz was all about. It appears my new neighborhood steakhouse featured a menu with the classic favorites along with a variety of seafood fusion options. We started off w the hamachi tiradito and then split the creamed spinach, potato au gratin & the cafe encrusted steak. The ambience was dimly lit yet the music was a bit overpowering. I will say the steak was tougher than I'd hoped it be but I gave the extra star on my rating for the great service that our waitress Tesla gave us. I'm glad I went with her hamachi recommendation because it was the best dish of the night. The cocktails were amazing (better than the food in my opinion) so it worked out for the dinner plans that night. The bar had an interesting flamelike decor on it which added to the ambience. The reason for the four stars is that there was an exaggerated delay in getting us our table despite having reservations. They have a lot to learn I ordered the cowboy ribeye, medium rare and it came raw. I had to send it back to get it re-cooked. So... we really wanted to like this place, but if you know good food, this isn't it. Walking in, the first thing you notice is the beautiful interior design. Truly a gorgeous restaurant. Once seated, the experience started to fall flat. We were a party of two seated at a table for four; not a big deal, just noting it. Our waiter was nice, nothing memorable or engaging. Appetizers: - Ribeye Chicharrón - arrived cold. - Bone marrow - this was our first time trying it, and there was zero explanation on how to eat it, which would have been helpful. Mains: - Australian Wagyu steak - honestly, don't waste your money. Very meh. The steak wasn't cooked properly, and you can clearly see how uneven the red is throughout the meat (see photos). A good chef doesn't cook steak like that. There's noticeable gray banding, which means the steak likely sat too long on lower heat or wasn't seared properly before finishing. For a high-end steak, that's a miss. Very disappointing. - Spicy rigatoni - hands down the best thing on the menu. (How can you mess up pasta?) We skipped dessert... for obvious reasons. Bathrooms....... Let's talk about the bathrooms... see the photos. There was throw-up in a stall and no toilet paper available in the women's stall. Completely unacceptable. I had it at this point. This restaurant has a lot of potential, but it's missing the overall experience. There's nothing special about this place. I'm really grossed out. This is not your typical, traditional steakhouse. The decor is stunning, so unique and captivating. I can't speak for the steak, but their seafood dishes were good. The grilled octopus was my favorite dish. Don't forget to ask for the secret spicy sauce (if you're a true spice lover). Don't skip out on dessert, the cheesecake is delicious! Beautiful experience! And a lovely place for a romantic but yummy date. I went for a casual very late lunch and was surprised. We tried a variety of dishes. The rock shrimp with spicy mayo was great. The branzino chicarron was awesome. The truffle potato gratin was extra tasty. The rib eye was melt-in-your mouth delicious. The marrow kissed scallops were so good. But our favorite was by far the Hamachi Tiradito. It was A+! Tip: get seated in the room with a view of the bar with its fire pit. read more

Steaks were amazing and the accompaniments were great. The atmosphere is a little gimmicky, dark cave like interior with loud music blaring, has more of a South Beach vibe in the bedroom community of Coral Gables. I will definitely return for the food but not necessarily for the atmosphere. read more

Ro Steakhouse is located on the bottom floor of the Alhambra Towers building. They have valet parking right outside the entrance. This is a new restaurant that has recently opened and was quite impressive. The decor was gorgeous. The entrance to the restaurant was very elegant and the layout was well thought out. We had a larger group and we were able to experience the private dining space. This room was absolutely beautiful and felt very elegant and cozy at the same time. My guests also liked that we had our own private bathroom. This was well thought out and a nice addition to the space. Our waiter, JC (Juan Carlo) was amazing. Everyone's glass was always full. His food suggestions were on point and he was very available to assist us. Sometimes with large groups, when the tip is already included, the service is not what you would hope it to be but JC was excellent!! Having a large group, everyone ordered different things. We tried a few appetizers and then ordered steaks, branzino, hamburger, pasta, etc. I had the octopus. I was impressed with the octopus as usually when you order it, the portion size is small. This portion size was very generous. We also ordered sides for the table which included the mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts and truffle fries. Everything was delicious. Everyone was commenting about how much they enjoyed their food. We were all so satisfied with dinner, we decided to share dessert. We ordered the Dubai chocolate molten lava cake, and an ice cream dessert that looks like corn on the cob but actually has dulce de leche inside. It was definitely worth a try and very creative. The restaurant was a great experience. I was also told that their happy hour is awesome. I didn't get to experience it, but will go back again to give it a try. I would definitely recommend this beautiful restaurant! Very impressed. read more
