The bartenders act like they're so cool but they're not and they need to learn to make a good drink. They use an acidic margarita mix leading to horrible margs vs making them fresh like most spoke. I went here for lunch by myself to have a bar meal and check the place out. I had read good things. Wow, what a disappointment! Parking (I was riding my motorcycle) was scarce. I talked the friendly valet into letting me park between a handicap space and a dumpster. The service was awful. It was 1:30 pm and there were about 15 customers with capacity for 100+. I was given a menu and a glass of water timely and the lady behind the bar seemed friendly. There were plenty of staff around waiting tables and backing the bar. I ordered a blackened fish sandwich and a draft beer. The beer came right away in a plastic mug. The pour was less than 12 oz. (small mug) and the brew was barely chilled. Almost room temperature. After 20 minutes and no fish sandwich, the bar lady came by and asked me: "Did you get your fish sandwich?" I said no. She then went in the main building (presumably where the kitchen is located) coming out a few minutes later while holding up 2 fingers, mouthing "2 minutes." The sandwich was $22 without fries (which were and extra $9 as a side). I didn't order those. The half-pint warm beer was $8. About 7 minutes later, another server came from the main building and delivered a scrawny, soggy bun containing a thick, small, undercooked, hunk of blackened fish flesh only 80% skin free. I had to finish the filleting myself. The toppings were parsley and onion. It was the ugliest and most tasteless blackened fish sandwich I have ever been served. I should've taken a photo. Anyway, by this point, I was in a hurry to get out of there as the place was a total fail. I picked at the fish with my fork and knife and ate the part that was actually meat and cooked, leaving the rest (skin included) and the soggy bun on the plate. With an 18% gratuity included, a simple grilled fish sandwich with no sides and a warm beer came out to almost $40. On the positive side, the view of the water and the Miami - Brickell skyline was good. However, I won't be coming back to this joint again. If I could give it Zero stars, I would. read more

Good thing is they do have parking and valet right next to the entrance of the restaurant so it's really easy to get there. Their fish dip was divine and it seems like they're fry their tortilla chips right in house cause they're nice and thick. The smoked fish dip just is everything you'd expect from it, they give you some peppers on the side, which add some of that kind of freshness that I think it needs with a squeeze of lime for sure. They had a variety of oysters and every single one was delicious ranging from your salt bombs with a lot of brine to a more sweeter, dull flavor. There was something for everyone. And I have to say the hotdog is also amazing great crunch on the sausage itself with an extra crunch from the crispy onions on top all held in this kind of poppyseed bun. Gramps is great. They were perfectly crispy and the perfect appetizer. The wait was worth it. The view of the Miami skyline is one of the best out there. Then we got to the mains. I had heard such good things about the lobster roll. It took me forever to decide between the cold and the hot. Ultimately, i went with my heart-- i always prefer cold. It was DELICIOUS on the hot fresh roll. A lot of the cold lobster meat with a delicious aioli. The smash burger also looked divine. The next time i come back, i may have to try the hot lobster roll. We came here on Super Bowl Sunday for dinner with a group of four. We were seated outside at a high top table. They were fairly busy, but not as busy as expected. Apparently the way we were supposed to receive had just left so we were assigned another person. We can tell by the speed of service that this person we got assigned was a little overwhelmed however, staff tried their best and there was never really a long wait. We order chicken wings, hotdog, dogs and corn besides some drinks everything was really good however, you have to realize with this excellent view on Miami. The prices are not cheap.
