We loved this restaurant. The food was really good. We also got the calamari for appetizer and they were great. The vibes were good and the waitress was really nice. The chocolate cake wasn't the best I've ever had, but was very good and I am a veeery picky chocolate cake lover, so I'd still recommend you try it for yourself. I'd def go back.
Came for Miami spice and I would just say the overall experience was just okay. The spice menu wasn't that extensive, few options but the food was just okay. The highlight for me was just the bread pudding. Mines was warm but unfortunately my wife's one was room temp. I think she would've really liked a warmed bread pudding with the ice cream. The Ambiance was incredible and , very instagram worthy.
Four of us came here for dinner on a Friday, in town for a cruise. The place is nice inside, the bar area was crowded but the main dining area was empty. Also, people kept strolling in, looks like they have a private back area. People were interestingly dressed and kept taking photos near the back. The service was okay, it felt like the food took long to come out, considering there weren't a lot of diners there. Two of us had the picanha, it was good but it was à la carte, so I ordered potatoes with like a chili oil topping as a side. Split that with my daughter who ordered the mahi mahi and really enjoyed the mahi. The last person in our party ordered a chicken dish, I think it might have been Asian style; she said it was okay.
We had a great time at Salty Flame. It was so close to our hotel but not recommended by any of the local advertisers or hotel staff, which is disappointing. What was also odd is when there weren't tables available for dinner that the option to sit at the bar wasn't readily communicated. Fortunately we thought of it and had a wonderful dinner In the corner of the bar. Our bartender/server was tremendously accommodating, which made our night. The food was overall good but perhaps the meat was a bit grisly.
Salty Flame in Brickell??? Yeah... they did what needed to be DONE. We came for happy hour and accidentally had a full spiritual experience through appetizers. First of all, the vibes were immaculate. We sat outside and it was so peaceful at first because I think we were literally the first people there for happy hour/lunch. It felt like we unlocked a secret level before the crowd came. Perfect weather, great energy, good music, cute scenery... very "main character with a discounted cocktail" energy. Now let's talk FOOD. Every single dish we ordered was SO flavorful. Like somebody in that kitchen actually believes in seasoning and I just want to personally thank them for their service. Even the fries??? And let's have a serious conversation because not all fries deserve rights. Especially those thick overly battered fries that feel like you're chewing on drywall. These fries were thin, crispy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned... exactly how fries should be. No unnecessary jacket on them. Just vibes. The tuna tartare was AMAZING. Fresh, flavorful, light, addictive. I could've ordered another one and acted like it was "for the table." The calamari was cooked perfectly too. Nice and airy, tender, not rubbery. You know how some calamari fights back when you chew it? Not this one. Peaceful calamari. The edamame with the chunky sea salt was weirdly one of my favorite things. So simple but SO good. And the Korean wings??? BABY. Those were "cancel your evening plans and order another round" wings. We don't say "to die for" anymore because positivity, growth, healing... but let's just say I would dramatically think about those wings again later. The drinks were great, the prices during happy hour honestly felt fair, and our waiter was SO sweet and attentive the entire time. Overall, I would absolutely come back. Honestly, if my responsibilities would allow it, I'd pull up to this happy hour every day like it's a part time job!
Food, service and ambience was perfect! We came in on a Saturday nite and got seated right away. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and we didn't have to ask for anything our whole dine in experience. We shared the ribeye steak, fried rice and mushrooms and it was perfectly seasoned and everything was good but my friend she loves her sauce and even though they don't have steak sauce she pretty much bought out all the sauce so she can basically make her own steak sauce. Our cocktails was good as well. Such a beautiful restaurant.
The salty flame is a hidden gem. I don't think there was anything we didn't like, but favorites were of course the steak and then the steak tartare and tacos were tied for second. It's not super busy so you shouldn't have a problem finding a spot. Our server was friendly and they have a nice vibe with some tiki torches and comfortable outdoor seating.
Came in for a friend's birthday dinner. I had never heard of this place before but came in with an open mind. Upon first glance at the menu, i will say I found the appetizers to be interesting, and the mains to be pretty good too. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it was very tasty. There was lots of sauce and a good portion of vegetables and chicken. I also tried a friend's Korean fried chicken wings and those were really good. They were crunchy and the sauce was very flavorful. However, the main dishes don't come with a side and if you were to add something at simple as rice, it's an extra $10 which I found to be a little off putting. In terms of price, i found everything to be very expensive for not any apparent reason. The food was very good, and the restaurant itself is very upscale, but the portions aren't necessarily large for the entrees, and the appetizers are very expensive for the portion they serve. And again, the sides are simple and expensive as well. In terms of the taste of the food served here, I really liked the meal. The service was amazing and each bite I had was really flavorful and had a good ratio of veggies to proteins. However the price seems over priced for a good amount of the menu. For these reasons I don't see me coming back unless it's a big special celebration.
Such a great spot to celebrate a friends birthday! Very cute space and we got our own private room! Our waitress was incredible. With so many of us she was fantastic. Everything came out very timely! I got a martini to start. This was great. For food I got the kimchi fries and the tuna sando. The kimchi fries were incredible. They had a ton of seasoning and I loved these! The tuna sando was okay, a bit too much rice compared to fish and not a ton of flavor. At the end of the dinner they brought out complimentary birthday cake and bread pudding! Such a great experience!

The food was outstanding across the board: perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and cooked exactly right. Drinks were strong and well-balanced, and the service was attentive without hovering. This is the kind of place you go for a real experience, not just a meal. Easily one of the best dining spots we've hit in Miami. We'll absolutely be back.
I decided to order the fried rice and steak rolls. They were both decent. However, I sampled others' dishes and they were extremely underwhelming. - Ribs- They look better than they taste. The meat was dry, despite the sauce they are coated in. - Ribeye- This was probably one of the worst ribeyes I've ever had. No flavor and DRY! - Branzino- Do not order this if you truly love Branzino. You will be disappointed ! We gave them a chance, but unfortunately the less desirable reviews of the cuisine here that you've probably read are true. I'd recommend this place for a cute drink and maybe an appetizer, but would definitely opt for another restaurant where the quality of the food matches the price point.

They have a lunch menu for $34 dollars I think, but it includes and appetizer and an entre and a dessert. The options were great but we went à la carte. We did the steak which came with a side and did the salad and did a salmon and tuna power bowl. As an app we did the salmon tartare and let me just tell you that everything came out delicious and quickly. The portions are great for the value. For the time of the day I was surprised to see so little tables. There were a few tables but for the quality and price I was shocked that it's not more crowded. Great spot for lunch. Will be back.
Salty Flame's Miami Spice was good. Portions were on the small and my crab fried rice didn't have any crab. Good thing we were all sharing plates! I highly recommend coming for Happy Hour. The cocktails are delish and service was great! I saw Korean fried chicken on the menu so I will definitely be back for that! The place gets packed after 7pm so make sure you make a reservation. Plus the lounge vibe is great! Parking in Brickell is on the street or valet.

I came for the Miami spice lunch. I was disappointed to find that the items offered were actually on their normal menu. I find this disappointing as I always like to go to try different dishes from the standard menu. To me it shows that the restaurants that do a special menu are normally more innovative. Had I known this beforehand I would not have come. Having said that the food I sampled was decent enough. My appetizer was the Korean chicken which was plentiful. My main was the ribs. I was surprised to see that it was just that only meat. I expected there to have been a bit of a garnish or greens. Between the ribs and chicken my whole diet was meat. The dessert was two choices. I went with the chocolate cake. The hocolate cake slice was the smallest slice I've ever been served in a restaurant. I really liked the decor. I also really liked the music that was being played. Service was efficient. The ladies toilets had a damp smell. Overall I was disappointed and would not visit again. read more

Ambiance was perfect. Music as well. The food was delicious. Wine... uff. The waiter (he was the only one wearing glasses) was terrible, he rolled his eyes on us each time I will call him (except when it was time to pay). He barely came to the table. Not nice. Salty Flame is a solid spot in Miami & doesn't disappoint. I had the Lily Pad & Lychee Pop during HH & both of them were great & strong. The former was definitely stronger & more unique if you ask me. The ambiance is super cute & the bartender was helpful without being overbearing. In addition to those two HH drinks, I also had the spicy tuna pocket & Korean fried chicken under the HH menu. The latter was definitely better from the food section. All in all, when I'm in Miami I can see myself visiting here again. read more

Came here for my husband's birthday dinner and it did not disappoint!! We shared the tomahawk steak with sides, enjoyed a sushi appetizer and absolutely DIED over the desserts!!! Our server made the experience in my opinion. For a fusion restaurant it was okay, I expected more exciting food options. The ribs are on the menu as a main, but we ordered them as an app, they were good, non traditional flavors but 3 of the 5 pieces had a lot of cartilage. The ambiance was nice, located in the heart of brickell. The service was phenomenal. Our waitress, Ari, was fantastic and helpful! The food was delicious, a real surprise actually...10/10 will return here! The price is fair for the presentation and flavor; not so much for the quantity though. Yummmm! I was hesitant about going here because some of the reviews say it's overhyped and you go more for the name and not for the food. I eill say my experience was totally different. Went here on a Friday night so my in laws could have a nice dinner with my parents. The in laws have high standards for food....that being said everything was great. Our server was Ari. At first I felt like maybe she was tired/annoyed but her demeanor really changed through the night and we had a great time with her. We ordered sort of family style so we could try many things. The apps included steak tartar, hamachi tacos, calamari, shumai, and spicy tuna sando (everyone loved that). For entree we ordered 2 tomahawk steaks. Honestly they were fantastic and plenty for 8 people to share. They are pricey!!!! But delicious and for a nice dinner in miami, you're always gonna pay a premium. We paired this with the fried rice, potatoes, mushrooms, cheesy corn, and chinese broccoli. Everything was delicious. I cannot elaborate enough how good the food was. You do have to order a few sides as they are somewhat small. They had nice dinner/dance music playing that was not too loud. It looks like they have a DJ setup, but no one was playing around 8 pm on a Friday. We will be back. We have been telling our friends about it too. Indoor and outdoor seating. We came here for a birthday dinner and were extremely surprised at how great everything was! Food - 5 out of 5. Absolutely phenomenal. Every single dish we ordered was great! Highly recommend getting anything off this menu! Service -5 out of 5. Our waitress was extremely attentive and was quick to make sure we had our drinks and meals quickly. Vibe - 5 out of 5. When we came there was also a private event going on around the bar. Even with the extra people, the restaurant never felt over crowded and it did not impact our meal. Salty Flame in Brickell offers a fresh and exciting experience, it has a cool vibe with outdoor, indoor, and comfortable bar seating. The decor sets a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. The Korean Fried Chicken was tasty and sweet with a delicious sauce. My entree, branzino with veggies, was my favorite dish of the night. The veggies complemented the Asian cuisine perfectly. Not worth the hype - at least not for lunch. We came in on a Friday for lunch to celebrate. The place was empty but the server seemed rushed. Tried their lunch special - lomo and picanha, a lily pad cocktail, mushrooms and dumplings. I was una le to drink the lily Lad bc it was so overly citrusy - not what I expect from a restaurant who is so cocktail focused (their decor has a big focus in the bar and cocktails). The salad was delicious, lomo was just alright and so was picanha, however the mushrooms were in a weird sauce that took away from the actual flavor. The bread pudding was also mediocre, nothing was great. With their menu prices and this exprence, I wouldn't return - seems like another "oh" gimmicky Miami place. read more

By the name you wouldn't think a Asian/Peruvian style fusion but in my opinion you can't go wrong with either. The ambiance was dark bu romantic with reto style furniture to match. I sat at the bar for happy hour and had amazing service with the bartender giving me his menu tips to make decisions. As for the food I had a couple things. I chose the Korean friend chicken and calamari as HH bites and then had the lomo as a main. The chicken mediocre at best, to me was more like basic honey chicken you can get at a mall. Now the calamari and lomo saltado were amazing and I would definitely go back for either. read more

While billed as a "steakhouse with Asian influence" I was excited to try this place as the menu had traditional Chinese dishes, flavors, and ingredients such as Szechuan chilis, Siu Mai, and Paigu. Overall the experience was good but disappointing. We came during happy hour which I recommend. The drinks are at a great price and there are "small bites" that make it easy to try several different appetizers. For drinks I had the Lychee pop and the lucky tsunami. I think the lychee pop was great with a good lychee flavor. The lucky tsunami has strong flavors of tequila so only order it if you like the tequila. Appetizers: edamame was great. The sauce that came with it was sublime and the edamame itself was well seasoned. The calamari was fantastic. The peppers and seasoning was excellent. The kimchi truffle fries were good as well but not a strong flavor of kimchi. Entrees: I had the genghis khan beef. The beef was perfectly tender and the vegetables were well cooked. The flavor was good but minimally Asian. The server sold this as "spicy" because of the Szechuan chili but I found that to be lacking in any spice or Szechuan flavor. I also tried the sweet and sour chicken and the salty flame fried rice. The sweet and sour chicken was good and the chicken was juicy. The salty flame fried rice was underseasoned and I personally thought the Chinese sausage could have been in larger pieces to better enjoy their unique flavor. Overall I would say that the experience was good but not great. Cocktails were excellent and the best bang for your buck is during happy hour. I felt that the "Asian influence" was lacking and could have been more bold. That being said, I did not try any of the steak options or the Siu Mai or Paigu. I do plan on making another visit to try some other dishes and give it another shot but I do feel that this only gets 4/5 stars for lack of authentic Asian flavors. Also, as a principle, I am against restaurants not including rice with main dishes. Let alone $6 for a small plate of rice. read more

I wouldn't say it's kid friendly. There's a live DJ, lots of people standing by the bar, chitchatting...the food options are shareable, but not sure I'd bring an 8 year old.
