    Sweet & Sour Chicken
    Leah Y.

Came in for a friend's birthday dinner. I had never heard of this place before but came in with an open mind. Upon first glance at the menu, i will say I found the appetizers to be interesting, and the mains to be pretty good too. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it was very tasty. There was lots of sauce and a good portion of vegetables and chicken. I also tried a friend's Korean fried chicken wings and those were really good. They were crunchy and the sauce was very flavorful. However, the main dishes don't come with a side and if you were to add something at simple as rice, it's an extra $10 which I found to be a little off putting. In terms of price, i found everything to be very expensive for not any apparent reason. The food was very good, and the restaurant itself is very upscale, but the portions aren't necessarily large for the entrees, and the appetizers are very expensive for the portion they serve. And again, the sides are simple and expensive as well. In terms of the taste of the food served here, I really liked the meal. The service was amazing and each bite I had was really flavorful and had a good ratio of veggies to proteins. However the price seems over priced for a good amount of the menu. For these reasons I don't see me coming back unless it's a big special celebration.

Such a great spot to celebrate a friends birthday! Very cute space and we got our own private room! Our waitress was incredible. With so many of us she was fantastic. Everything came out very timely! I got a martini to start. This was great. For food I got the kimchi fries and the tuna sando. The kimchi fries were incredible. They had a ton of seasoning and I loved these! The tuna sando was okay, a bit too much rice compared to fish and not a ton of flavor. At the end of the dinner they brought out complimentary birthday cake and bread pudding! Such a great experience!

Salty Flame was PERFECT. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was on point upscale, sexy, and energetic without feeling pretentious. The food was outstanding across the board: perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and cooked exactly right. Drinks were strong and well-balanced, and the service was attentive without hovering. This is the kind of place you go for a real experience, not just a meal. Easily one of the best dining spots we've hit in Miami. We'll absolutely be back.

Totally overhyped and overpriced.Went with party of 8 ordered medium rare ribeye came out rare with cold center. Service was meh at best. Another friend ordered medium and it was medium rare. Trendy spot in downtown area. This was a major disappointment.

Our server made the experience in my opinion. For a fusion restaurant it was okay, I expected more exciting food options. The ribs are on the menu as a main, but we ordered them as an app, they were good, non traditional flavors but 3 of the 5 pieces had a lot of cartilage. No complaints on the Lomo Saltado and the steak was a little cold by the time it hit the table. We sat outside, not much of an ambiance but clean.

The ambiance was nice, located in the heart of brickell. The service was phenomenal. Our waitress, Ari, was fantastic and helpful! The food was delicious, a real surprise actually...10/10 will return here! The price is fair for the presentation and flavor; not so much for the quantity though. Great restaurant to taste amazing flavors and dishes with friends and family that are true foodies.

Yummmm! I was hesitant about going here because some of the reviews say it's overhyped and you go more for the name and not for the food. I eill say my experience was totally different. Went here on a Friday night so my in laws could have a nice dinner with my parents. The in laws have high standards for food....that being said everything was great. Our server was Ari. At first I felt like maybe she was tired/annoyed but her demeanor really changed through the night and we had a great time with her. We ordered sort of family style so we could try many things. The apps included steak tartar, hamachi tacos, calamari, shumai, and spicy tuna sando (everyone loved that). For entree we ordered 2 tomahawk steaks. Honestly they were fantastic and plenty for 8 people to share. They are pricey!!!! But delicious and for a nice dinner in miami, you're always gonna pay a premium. We paired this with the fried rice, potatoes, mushrooms, cheesy corn, and chinese broccoli. Everything was delicious. I cannot elaborate enough how good the food was. You do have to order a few sides as they are somewhat small. They had nice dinner/dance music playing that was not too loud. It looks like they have a DJ setup, but no one was playing around 8 pm on a Friday. We will be back. We have been telling our friends about it too. Indoor and outdoor seating. Upscale brickell vibe.

Salty Flame's Miami Spice was good. Portions were on the small and my crab fried rice didn't have any crab. Good thing we were all sharing plates! I highly recommend coming for Happy Hour. The cocktails are delish and service was great! I saw Korean fried chicken on the menu so I will definitely be back for that! The place gets packed after 7pm so make sure you make a reservation. Plus the lounge vibe is great! Parking in Brickell is on the street or valet.

First time trying this place. Happy hour menu was really good with great portion sizes. Highlight of the night was the udon carbonara. Our server Suly was great also!

Salty Flame is a solid spot in Miami & doesn't disappoint. I had the Lily Pad & Lychee Pop during HH & both of them were great & strong. The former was definitely stronger & more unique if you ask me. The ambiance is super cute & the bartender was helpful without being overbearing. In addition to those two HH drinks, I also had the spicy tuna pocket & Korean fried chicken under the HH menu. The latter was definitely better from the food section. All in all, when I'm in Miami I can see myself visiting here again.

Not worth the hype - at least not for lunch. We came in on a Friday for lunch to celebrate. The place was empty but the server seemed rushed. Tried their lunch special - lomo and picanha, a lily pad cocktail, mushrooms and dumplings. I was una le to drink the lily Lad bc it was so overly citrusy - not what I expect from a restaurant who is so cocktail focused (their decor has a big focus in the bar and cocktails). The salad was delicious, lomo was just alright and so was picanha, however the mushrooms were in a weird sauce that took away from the actual flavor. The bread pudding was also mediocre, nothing was great. With their menu prices and this exprence, I wouldn't return - seems like another "oh" gimmicky Miami place.

By the name you wouldn't think a Asian/Peruvian style fusion but in my opinion you can't go wrong with either. The ambiance was dark bu romantic with reto style furniture to match. I sat at the bar for happy hour and had amazing service with the bartender giving me his menu tips to make decisions. As for the food I had a couple things. I chose the Korean friend chicken and calamari as HH bites and then had the lomo as a main. The chicken mediocre at best, to me was more like basic honey chicken you can get at a mall. Now the calamari and lomo saltado were amazing and I would definitely go back for either.

I had a great experience at salty flame. They had elegant and romantic vibes. The food was all delicious. My favorite was the calamari. Drinks also delicious. The service was excellent. I highly recommend.

Is this restaurant kid friendly for a child 8 & 15?

I wouldn't say it's kid friendly. There's a live DJ, lots of people standing by the bar, chitchatting...the food options are shareable, but not sure I'd bring an 8 year old.

Hello! I'm going here with a large group and I made a reservation for one of the private rooms. Does anyone know if the room costs extra? I don't see anything about it on the website.

I reserved the 12-person room. It only cost extra if all parties do not show.

I think they fit Miami well, and are slight twists in classic drink options. Our bartender was awesome. She was super knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations as we decided what to order, and you can tell she really put effort into making sure the drinks were good. The drinks were really good! My only complaint is the price. Of course handcrafted cocktails are expensive, especially in Miami, but wow. The drinks were really small, and had so much ice that they ended up being not very many sips at all. They were definitely good, but the very small size for almost $20 a drink was kind of outrageous.

The bar was lit, poppin' and vibrant. We were waiting by the end of the counter where they checked out other patrons near the sitting area. We were overlooked many times... I locked eyes with one of the bartender and she completely looked away from me.. several times :( took about 15 minutes and we reached our arms out and flagged bartender Reilly. Her greeting and attention was genuine so I was happy to get her. Unfortunately, she got busy and we got the initial lady that ignored us. She was not kind, not attentive and didn't really want to help us - she was very fake. With that being said, we had to remind her of our drinks after 20 minutes of placing the order, in which she responded with an attitude "it's being made. We're busy" -_- -_- :( the attitude was not needed. We watched others that came in before us being served. :( I was completely annoyed and upset. She didn't even bring the drinks to us like the other bartenders were doing, she made us get it. Poor service from this one bartender while the others were happy and servicing their patrons. After our first drinks, I noticed she spoke to her colleague and he came over and asked if we wanted to close out.. . Wtf kicking us out? We said no and he opened a tab. When she noticed we were ordering more, she was a bit more attentive. So wrong. Luckily, the drinks were delicious. Perfect. We did end up coming back to the Lasseter and got a gentleman bartender that was so kind and attentive and made our drinks even better! The attention to detail and love he made in my drinks, so that is why I decided to make make this a 3 stars rather than two. He saved this place. The toilet sitting area is very warm, not very air conditioned properly so expect to be a little warm especially after a couple of sips. It's also the walkway to an actual big restrooms for the whole building. The drinks are VERY pricy but the setting is perfect and makes up for it. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. Disney priced drinks without the Disney customer service. Do I want to come back? Yes. Am I going to be picky with the vibes coming from the bartender and chose who to go to? Also yes. Hopefully, I can increase the rating.
