Paella was definitely the highlight Super tasty and worth ordering. But the staff wasn't friendly at all, which really killed the vibe. And finding a bug in our cocktail? Yeah... that was the moment the night officially went downhill.

The customer service was superb, great food, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]a wonderful atmosphere[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]! Total bill with the surf and turf paella, meatballs, ham croquettes, and pasta was a little over $300, with gratuity included for three people...

I'm giving Españolita three out of three stars. Overall, it was a decent experience, though a little on the pricey side. The service was good, maybe a little too good at times, like you could tell they were eager for something in return, which made it feel a bit over the top. The staff was attentive and friendly, but it didn't quite feel completely relaxed because of that energy. The restaurant was relatively packed, and you could feel the buzz of people moving around, trying to get through, which added to the lively atmosphere. Despite the chaos, the vibes are solid and give the place character, making it worth a visit if you enjoy a busy, energetic environment. Everything comes together well enough to earn the three-star rating, even if it is not the most laid-back or budget-friendly option. The food is honestly something that I'm not remembering too well.

Feels a bit touristy with the aggressive hosts outside, but on the plus side it does have prime real estate on the busy restaurant row. The paella seems like the specialty here, taking a prime spot on the menu and appearing on many tables. It's a bit slow for the paella to be made, so hopefully your date is a conversationalist! Paella del Mar: An impressive date night dish to share. The two halves of lobster are especially eye catching and they're easy to eat since it's cut down the middle with the claw partially cracked. Lots of clams, mussels, shrimp and calamari in the mix to ensure you get your seafood fix. The rice was very flavorful from the lobster broth and saffron. Only downside was that there was no socarrat on the bottom, which is disappointing since I love that crispy rice.

Had a great birthday dinner here. Our server was amazing she made our experience so much fun with complementary shots and getting all the other servers to sing us happy birthday. We sat outside and watched the people walk by. I will definitely would come back.

They're definitely very aggressive with recruiting guests, both in-person and virtually. I got calls and texts about cancellations and was even accused of not canceling--until I provided screenshots. It was more funny than annoying, but still odd. When we walked by, they were also clearly trying to make eye contact and draw people in (not physically, but you can tell). We were still curious, so we went in. Besides the pushy recruiting, the staff was friendly and, objectively, very attractive. The food itself was just okay. We tried the seafood tower, and it was underwhelming. You can usually tell it's going to be mid when the oysters aren't identified. The tower also included cooked and seasoned clams and mussels, but I personally prefer them fresh and unseasoned--the flavors felt like they were masking a lack of freshness. What I really wish we knew upfront was that the tower was charged per person. The menu only said MP, so getting a double charge on the bill was confusing. They explained that the portion served was for two people, which was... odd but fine. Seafood paella was okay, salty, but the pulpo was good. Overall, an okay experience. I'd probably rate it a 2, but giving it a 4 so this review doesn't mysteriously disappear. I have a theory they might be deleting Yelp reviews to maintain their 4-star average, because it doesn't make sense that they only have a couple hundred reviews here while their Google profile shows a 5-star average with 15,000 reviews. Honestly, that huge gap is what convinced us to try the place. Definitely an odd experience. Staff was nice and a great spot for people watching.

The servers were all very kind and helpful. The food was good -- especially the branzino and seafood paella together. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes on this street are always great because there's so many other restaurants and people walking around![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The skirt steak was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. My friend had octopus appetizer that he said was amazing. Fun atmosphere an Español Way. Definitely worth checking it out.

the food is very good and well priced but the place itself is very overwhelming. The tables are extremely close together, the waiters can barely walk through, and the bathroom is rundown.

Española Way has such a charming, vibrant atmosphere, and our experience at Espanolita was cozy and enjoyable from start to finish. We had a few drinks, started with the grilled octopus, and ordered the paella del mar. The seafood tasted fresh and was really good. The paella could have been even better with a bit more of that toasted crust, but overall everything was delicious. The service was great as well . [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's also a perfect spot for people-watching.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely come back when we're back in Miami!

After looking at the reviews I presented Mareva 1939 as my top choice. I contacted them and made a reservation for 10 people, and after the first reservation time I had to adjust with Mareva for people arriving in late because of flights. No problem for Mareva and they didn't need a deposit for the restaurant. It is in the National Hotel, next to where we are staying box 1 check. The place was beautifully decorated and staff all attentive throughout the night. That was my criteria not my boss' since the lack of good service can destroy a great meal. The food choices all were excellent but centered on tapas and Spanish cuisine which checked the second box. Served family style we all chose a number of different tapas and shared. Then large patella dishes, they were plentiful and all delicious. Lastly the price, which may seem high for those outside the area but not for those who know Miami Beach. The bill for the 10 of us that included several drinks person and enough food and desserts to leave us full came to $1,002 including tip and taxes. All boxes checked and my boss and team happy, Mareva 1939 was a huge success.

From the amazing patio view of the pool, to the incredibly friendly and attentive staff, to the delicious huevos rancheros I ordered, it was all excellent. Whenever I travel I try to mix up my dining so I can get a wide variety of meals in but I seriously considered breaking my rule and hitting here twice. I will definitely be visiting The National again and when I do, I'll be back for a meal for sure.
