While billed as a "steakhouse with Asian influence" I was excited to try this place as the menu had traditional Chinese dishes, flavors, and ingredients such as Szechuan chilis, Siu Mai, and Paigu. Overall the experience was good but disappointing. We came during happy hour which I recommend. The drinks are at a great price and there are "small bites" that make it easy to try several different appetizers. For drinks I had the Lychee pop and the lucky tsunami. I think the lychee pop was great with a good lychee flavor. The lucky tsunami has strong flavors of tequila so only order it if you like the tequila. Appetizers: edamame was great. The sauce that came with it was sublime and the edamame itself was well seasoned. The calamari was fantastic. The peppers and seasoning was excellent. The kimchi truffle fries were good as well but not a strong flavor of kimchi. Entrees: I had the genghis khan beef. The beef was perfectly tender and the vegetables were well cooked. The flavor was good but minimally Asian. The server sold this as "spicy" because of the Szechuan chili but I found that to be lacking in any spice or Szechuan flavor. I also tried the sweet and sour chicken and the salty flame fried rice. The sweet and sour chicken was good and the chicken was juicy. The salty flame fried rice was underseasoned and I personally thought the Chinese sausage could have been in larger pieces to better enjoy their unique flavor. Overall I would say that the experience was good but not great. Cocktails were excellent and the best bang for your buck is during happy hour. I felt that the "Asian influence" was lacking and could have been more bold. That being said, I did not try any of the steak options or the Siu Mai or Paigu. I do plan on making another visit to try some other dishes and give it another shot but I do feel that this only gets 4/5 stars for lack of authentic Asian flavors. Also, as a principle, I am against restaurants not including rice with main dishes. Let alone $6 for a small plate of rice. read more

The signage and decor let us know right away that this place was targeting an audience that wants to be seen as much as it sees. It did not disappoint. Our service was excellent and attentive. Every dish we tried was flavorful, innovative and simply made well. We started with the pork and shrimp dumplings and the pork spareribs. Both were excellent. Then we moved onto to fried rice, New York strip, kimchi cucumbers and Chinese broccoli, while we sipped on a Lily pad and a spicy guava margarita. We finished with a 10 layer chocolate cake and a cortadito. Very good and well worth a return visit. read more

I can't believe it was my first time trying out Salty flame. It's the cutest place with a very sexy date night type ambiance. My food experience this evening wasn't as top tier as I was expecting however. Leaning to like 3 1/2 stars. The crispy chicken bao buns were flavorful. But the chicken was a bit too chewy more so than crispy for my braces. My steak also came out initially more rare than medium. They browned it up a little more and it was pretty decent. The broccolini was really good. As was the cucumber salad on the side. Probably my fav actually. Our server was pleasant. I'd give them another try for sure. read more

Salty Flame is a cool spot! They have a live DJ playing house music, both indoor and outdoor seating and Asian inspired food options. I ordered a sushi roll and a side of baby bok choy. I opted for the roll - the fresh salmon was wrapped up in soy paper, rolled in rice and topped with yuzu sauce, sesame seeds and micro greens. This could easily be shared with a couple of other small dishes or eaten alone for a light meal. The bok choy was outstanding! It was stir fried and served with a light sesame oil dressing. Our table ordered the chocolate cake for dessert and, wow, it was a HUGE slice of cake. It was made for sharing. It had alternating layers of chocolate cake and chocolate mousse. Surprisingly, it was not too sweet or heavy but I'd definitely recommend ordering this dessert to share. We ordered coffee with dessert and that alone was $50+ so be prepared to splurge. The staff were friendly and pleasant. We did go on a Saturday night and it wasn't very busy (I'd say filled to a little less than half capacity) so it made for a low-key, relaxing dinner. I originally asked for a table inside but then asked to switch to outdoor seating when we arrived and the host was happy to accommodate us. If you're looking for a place to kick off a fun night with great flavor combinations, Salty Flame is a the perfect place. read more

Went here for Miami Spice and Wine Wednesday, which is 50% off every bottle. A tremendous deal! Food was excellent with the exception of the crab rice which had almost no crab! Dumplings and steak were terrific and my wife said it was the best bread pudding she ever had! Unfortunately, the service was barely average as our waitress never checked on us or poured our wine. Nevertheless, I will return to try more of the food. read more

A culinary and visual treat. Excellent pleasant vibrant ambiance. Service matched the vibes! I love the creativity of the bartenders.

Uhmmm... let's start with the good... the restaurant is beautiful! Absolutely stunning. I loved all the mirrors , the reds and golds are beautiful. The plates were also really nice. Now the food and the menu were very underwhelming. The service however was pretty good. Michelle was amazing and very attentive. When we arrived the restaurant was pretty empty. The did have a prefixed menu that was $60 which included a 3 course meal. It wasn't bad at all. Even tho they had a 3 course meal, sides were extra. So the rice you see below was $6. All in all, beautiful restaurant. A bit pricey and a little limited. The steak was nicely seasoned but small. The side of rice which came on a platter confused me, and it was a little underdone to my liking, and the dumplings wrappers fell apart after taking a bite. Unfortunately, i ended up throwing up my entire meal once i left the restaurant. So i wasn't able to try the chocolate cake because it was unfortunately collateral damage (which i was sad about). But, it's a cute spot for Instagram and tik tok vibes. I guess... See pics below. read more

Oh, Salty Flame, you're my new favorite. I was so impressed with this restaurant. Not only is the vibe amazing, the service, food and drinks are top notch. My friend and I ordered a few plates and shared everything which made the experience all the better, as it gave us both more options to taste different dishes. My favorite was the SF Fried Rice with shrimp. Not only did all the food come out expeditiously, it was still hot and sizzling, making it so fresh and giving us the full sensory culinary experience. After dinner we stayed for some dessert cocktails and to enjoy the musical stylings of a female DJ. I wish I wrote her name down because she is a badass DJ who was spinning some classic jams mixed with deep house. It was a fun and festive vibe, for sure. 10/10 highly recommend this restaurant. Salty Flame not only delivers on flavor, but on portion, presentation and excellent service. Shout out to our server for being so attentive and hosting us to a wonderful dining experience. read more

We ended up here after Barsecco next door was a total bust with awful customer service--and I'm so glad we did! We grabbed seats at the bar and were greeted right away by the super friendly bartender. Our drinks were phenomenal, and the service was top-notch. I'll definitely be coming back for dinner! read more

We came here on a whim, being in town for a work conference, I chose a trendy place with ratings that looked good. The place has such a trendy upbeat vibe. We started with the Coconut ceviche, which was light and refreshing with a citrus-y taste. Also had the dumplings. I had the New York strip with Mushrooms which were so good, with a lovely savory sauce. My friend had the bass which was fried and served whole. We had the most lovely waiter. He offered us some wonderful ginger lemon mint tea as a digestif and it was absolutely perfect. We ended with a lovely bread pudding and ice cream and a chocolate cake. I will remember Miami by this place. Much love. read more

Had a nice experience last week at Salty Flame. The atmosphere was fun and lively. The service was good, nothing super amazing, but it was good. Same for the food, it was all good, but nothing blew us away! We were advised to order steak so we shared a ribeye and New York strip which were both cooked very well and came with pickled cucumbers on the side. We also got several appetizers such as the Korean fried chicken, crunchy chicken Bao, and spicy tuna pocket. Prices were very reasonable. I liked it overall and would come again! read more

Salty Flame is one of the many new restaurants to hit the Miami dining scene this year, and while it has potential, my recent visit with friends left me feeling underwhelmed. The food was decent, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. I started with the Korean Fried Chicken appetizer, which was really flavorful - definitely the highlight of my meal. For my main course, I ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken. It was enjoyable, but the flavors felt a bit one-dimensional - nothing that stood out compared to other Asian-inspired spots. The ambiance was trying really hard to be trendy, with a live DJ playing music so loud that it was difficult to carry on a conversation at our table. The service was just okay. Our server was polite but not very attentive. The price also felt a bit steep for what was ordered: one appetizer, two entrées, and no alcoholic beverages (only water and a Diet Coke) totaled $111 with gratuity. Salty Flame isn't bad, but with so many dining options in Miami, I'm not sure I'd rush back to eat here. It might be worth a visit if you're in the area and curious. read more

We went for dinner. Step 1 - Terrible, small, drafty, cold table - so we had to move. 3 more couples were seated there and also moved. Step 2 - servers don't know basic table manners. Step 3 - ordered medium well steak, came rare. Step 4 - did not have Sauvignon Blanc that was on the menu! (Should I note that they don't know how to pronounce it?) Step 5 - loud club music, with throbbing base. Sorry! Not coming back. Ever. Very sad as we were planning and hoping for a great date Saturday night :( read more

Queue me singing "it's a vibe!" I don't know where to start. Decor -- just beautiful. The decor screams Miami. It's plain sexy. Food -- we tried so much. First, the Happy Hour menu is friggin awesome. The drinks were great. I tried their spicy guava margarita. I do wish it had a little more heat to it, but it was still good. My friend tried a drink that had Hypnotic in it. I can't remember the last time I saw Hypnotic on a menu! The presentation of the drink was so pretty -- a blue dragon was sitting atop. Very cute and original. See pic. We tried the sashimi, various sushi, calamari, crispy Korean chicken, and pork ribs. Everything was delicious. My only gripe was with the ribs. They were adorned with crushed peanuts. I didn't like that combination. I think the portion sizes are rather large and definitely shareable. Lastly, service was also great. Our waiter came by often to ensure our drinks were filled and bellies were full. You'll definitely have fun -- especially at happy hour -- there's a live DJ! Cheers! read more

The Salty Flame is right next to the train! Perfect for dinner with friends or like me solo dinner. The drink was spicy but good, calamari really good if you like spice and the wings are the best part. The he service is A+ and cleanliness is 10/10. The manager actually came to my table to ask my opinion of the food. That's not as common as people would think. read more

Big fan of this spot for happy hour! They have a very extensive happy hour menu that runs every day of the week, festering cocktails, wine, beer, and bites. My truffle fries were okay, but the aioli was quite good and I felt like the price was right. Happy hour chardonnay was solid. Another thing I like about this place is their patio. It's set up with big fans and lots of tropical greenery. A nice little outdoor refuge in the middle of Brickell! Service was good. Note the service charge is already built into your bill. read more

We visited this establishment this past weekend for a birthday event, it was such a great experience. Delicious food and great service. The restaurant was tidy and bathrooms were clean. Andrea (Francy) was a joy to have as a server, she was very attentive and with such great attitude, although very busy as she had several new tables seated as our party of 12 kindly awaited her service throughout the evening. Light was dim (mood) lighting. Drinks were very tasty. read more

This is the kind of restaurant that screams Miami. The aesthetic is all there. My favorite thing we ate was the Korean fried chicken. It was soooo tasty. I wish my main entree had a little less pepper, I feel like it was over powering. Overall it was good. We had a great experience at Salty Flame. They have both inside and outside seating, but the vibe inside is awesome. To start, we tried the Siu Mai Dumplings. They came out within two minutes of us ordering! The service throughout the dinner was spectacular. My recommended entrees: Noodles - Song Hua Ban Noodles. They are filling and very flavorful. Fish - Branzino. It's flavorful and melts in your mouth. Sushi - Salmon Avocado roll Salad - Asian Chop - this one is great for splitting as an app as well. To drink, I we tried their classic Lily Pad cocktail as well as a mezcal margarita. Drinks were unique, and not too sweet. I'll definitely be back! read more

These reviews have to be fake. The service is great. Stick to drinks, the food is Golden Corral quality.

Had a blast at a birthday brunch for a friend here. The deejay was on point with the whole vibe of the day. The inside is tre chic and picture worthy spots throughout. The menu has a touch of everything for everyone. Expect some flare, custom cuts with a dash of fusion for all dishes. We had a party of over 12 so there was everything from steak and eggs, French toast, shumai, edamame, chicken and waffles, etc. I went with the Thai salad and added grilled shrimp for protein. I damn near licked the bowl. I left nothing o. that plate. As this perfect dish danced in my mouth I noticed how everyone was just enjoying their dishes. The steaks were thick and juicy, eggs cooked softly, waffles and chicken had the perfect crunch, edamame salted just enough. I can just go on and on. Don't forget the nonstop flow of mimosas, champagne, and cocktails. We shut this place down till we were the last patrons. A time was definitely had!! read more

Even though they didn't have my Resy reservation, I was sat very quickly at the bar. Food was delicious. Although, edamame was very salty. Still great and flavorful. The service was very attentive at first, though the man attending left for the day and I got someone else who was very kind but seemed distant. Assuming he was just getting on his shift and was getting the hang of things, or maybe I seemed fine. Not sure. But either way, I understand. Additionally, the chicken wasn't a chicken breast. Only a chicken thigh, which is fine, too. But could be nice to specify. I enjoyed the flavor of the salad and it was very fresh and tasty. I loved the side sauces, which were a nice treat to dip my remaining chicken in. The ambiance was very pretty, though it was earlier in the night so it was quite quiet. Not a bad thing. I like getting an early dinner. Overall, I would come back. Thank you! read more

My friend and I decided to give Salty Flame a try for Miami Spice week. The ambiance was okay for a Saturday night. There were some dates, friend dates, and groups celebrating. We sat at the bar which was a great idea. Our server was attentive. We started with the pork/shrimp dumplings and the coconut ceviche. Both were phenomenal! The coconut taste in the ceviche was very potent. There were different cuts of fish and slices of peaches which was a nice touch. Our main dishes were not pictured because we were yapping lol. My friend got The Sweet & Sour bass. It surprised the both of us seeing that it was a whole fried fish but deff my favorite dish. I ordered the 8 oz NY Strip. I was extremely disappointed in the NY Strip. I'd pass on it next time. For dessert, we enjoyed the bread pudding and chocolate cake. If you love, love chocolate get the cake. Overall, I'd give this place another shot. Im glad I came during Miami Spice. read more

A friend and I visited Salty Flame to see what the hype was about in true foodie fashion. The host service was IMPECCABLE super warm, attentive, and informative definitely started the experience off on the right foot for me. The place is superrrrr freaking cute and comfy. Definitely gives an intimate upscale feel. I was so appreciative of where we were seated (pictured). There's also a bar/DJ located towards the anterior/central part of the restaurant. Definitely aided in setting the overall vibe. The food here was greattttt. Every single thing I ate was bomb and tasted of quality. And I mean EVERY thing. Spicy tuna pockets (complimentary with check in)? Fire. Kimchi fries? Flames! Drinks? Crafted to perfection! Heads up they also have cocktail tastings every Thursday! The only thing I feel could've been a little better was service. Our servers name was Francy and she was nice but not as attentive or present as we would've liked her to be. She definitely could've done a little better at checking in on our needs. However I will say she wasn't rude and worked diligently! Typically I would've rated this between a 4-4.5 based on that factor. However I feel that wouldn't have been a true reflection of the restaurant itself because I saw servers within proximity who did seem a little more attentive to their tables. This is without a doubt a spot I would recommend for a nice, cute happy hour with flavorful asian fusion bites. read more

Salty Flame is one of those spots that completely blows past your expectations it's not just a meal, it's an experience. The second you walk in, the vibe hits: warm glow, a touch of fire in the atmosphere, and an energy that feels alive yet intimate. It's the perfect balance between high-end dining and that electric Miami-style nightlife edge. The food is mind-blowing. Every dish has that perfect hit of flavor bold, creative, and beautifully plated. You can taste the passion in every bite. The flame-kissed touches on the menu add a level of drama and flavor that make you want to order one of everything just to experience it all. Pair it with their cocktails (which are as much art as they are drinks) and you're in for something unforgettable. But what truly makes Salty Flame unbelievable is the way it all comes together the music, the ambiance, the energy of the crowd. You don't just eat here; you live here for a few hours. It's the type of place where dinner turns into late-night stories, and every moment feels like it belongs in a highlight reel. read more

We came here for the Miami spice menu. The decor and ambiance is very cute and "Instagram worthy" with stylish, bold furnishings. They had upbeat music playing so it felt like a fun dinner vibe. The service was incredible, they constantly came by to clear the table or refill water. We had the ceviche and dumplings for our appetizers, both were delicious. The coconut ceviche had a coconut curry flavor which was nice. Then for our entrees we had the steak and the bass. The steak was delicious, but I was not a fan of the fried fish. It is served as a whole fish, and while flaky fish is usually nice, it made it really difficult to separate the filet from the skeleton of the fish. I struggled to get bites without fishbones. Otherwise, it tasted good and I liked the sweet sauce on top. We finished with the chocolate cake and the bread pudding. The bread pudding was served warm with ice cream and was absolutely delicious! The chocolate cake was extremely rich and chocolatey, layered with chocolate mousse. read more

First and foremost the restaurant is VERY chic and cute. The dj was also the singer which I thought was very cool! The staff was EXTREMELY attentive. Our waitress Andrea was super sweet. The hospitality was fantastic the rating does not go toward that. The food was okay, very basic tasting food I wanted to love it but the flavors weren't all there for my specific palate. We tried the dumplings 3/5, Korean chikin 4/5, edamame 2/5, salt and pepper shrimp 2/5, sweet and sour chicken 3/5, sashimi plate 3/5. Miami Spice 2025: i tried the fried rice with chinese sausage, the branzino, and the bread pudding. the fried rice could have used way more sausage, especially considering it was the only protein in the dish. it was just sprinkled a little bit into the rice. aside from that, the flavor was nice. the branzino was a tad overcooked and just ok in terms of flavor. the star of the show was the bread pudding. i would honestly return in heartbeat just for the bread pudding. the cinnamon sugar they use for it was reminiscent of a knausberry farm cinnamon roll, which was a lovely surprise dueing this off season. highly recommend this for dessert. it may even allow me to come back and try to find something from the dinner menu i would like. read more
