If you're looking for a new and awesome experience, check out Salty Flame located in Brickell where the Novecento used to be. There is outdoor seating, indoor seating, and the bar seating is pretty cool and comfortable too. The decor sets the tone for a nice, laid back, cozy ambience. I stopped by the bar for a quick drink as I waited for my party to arrive running late on Miami time lol :D When we were seated at our table - the service was on point from the beginning to the end of the night. There was even a moment where we ordered another round of drinks with our waitress and minutes later, they showed up while she was busy answering our questions and taking care of us. This blew my mind! And it wasn't like the Salty Flame was empty either! They were definitely busy and working hard taking care of all the tables. As for the food and any recommendations? The edamame was excellent, and the salt and pepper calamari were delicious too. The flavors, seasoning, and kimchi spice thrown into the mix gives it a really nice touch. The Korean Fried Chicken was also really tasty and sweet with the sauce it is coated in. Finally, I had the flat iron steak as my entree which comes served with veggies which I felt like really made the Asian cuisine stand out and it was my favorite dish of the night. The balance of sweet and salty is perfect! Think of it as a lomo saltado, if you're into that, then you're going to love this dish! Something important to note is the sides are not included and have to be ordered separately. If you order the steak though, veggies came with it so that's a pretty sweet deal for me! Really impressed with this new spot and can't really think of negatives here except for the Salty burger. This menu item is really popular and my friends tried the burger but I did notice it seemed a little overcooked and burnt. Came here for Miami Spice with a large group. We made a reservation and I'd recommend doing so especially on the weekend. There was live music and a DJ performing and while great for entertainment it was a little difficult to hear the other people at my table because it was too loud. For my main dish I ordered the sweet and sour chicken. It was good but I wouldn't say it was earth shattering. To me, the real stars were the appetizers. All delicious. The pork ribs and the fried chicken (not pictured) were delicious. If you're going to order anything it has to be the pork ribs. The dumplings made me wish that the order came with more than 2. The drinks were fun and tasty and the dessert was okay. If I were to back it would definitely be for drinks and appetizers. read more

They offer bottomless mimosas packaged that is not bad because a couple of drinks will cost just as much if not more. However my niece and I didn't get but our drinks were great. I ordered the chinolita that had a refreshing flavor and was smooth. I also ordered the luck tsunami that was nice but a more strong taste than I expected. For our starter we had the crispy tuna toast and that was delicious. The tuna was fresh and that rice was perfectly toasted but the aioli used on the tuna really brought everything together. We shared our mains so we ordered the chicken and waffles and the Ube French toast. The chicken in was crisp with a nice flavor glaze and spice. The waffle was good but nothing fancy. Now the Ube French Toast was good and toast had nice texture but so soft when you bite into it. The Ube is the filling in the center and the strawberries with whipped cream bring fresh flavors that blend well with the Ube. Overall we had a good time and the service was quick. Pleasantly surprised by the delicious food here. Everything was fresh and full of flavor! We ordered from the Miami Spice menu. Pork ribs were delicious!! Ribeye was nicely seasoned and juicy. Absolutely loved the cucumber side so refreshing! Both the app and main were very small portions (see pics), but that can be expected with Miami Spice. Gelato (chocolate and vanilla) dessert was fantastic and tasted homemade. We also had the green tempura rolls, which were really delicious and bursting with flavor. Interior is super loud with the club music but the small outdoor space was much more calm. I did get some resistance when I tried to redeem my free Prosecco with a check-in on Yelp, but the waitress talked to the manager and she eventually brought it. Too bad the Prosecco was not good (very cheap stuff) and my request to swap it for wine was ignored. I feel like our waitress was a bit pushy and tried to get us to order full price steaks, when we were looking at the Spice menu. And she did have a bit of attitude after I asked for the free Yelp check-in drink. Why offer it if you don't want to give the Yelpers the perk? And not a good way to make a good impression on someone who is writing a review of your restaurant. The rest of the staff was nice though so I won't ding them based on the bad attitude of this waitress. While the food was delicious, this attitude from her left a bad taste in my mouth. He offered consolation except for sending us to a nearby restaurant and buying us a drink. he was very rude and basically said he could do nothing to help I don't think anyone should go to this restaurant and expect them to honor reservations, and if their quality of service is any reflection on this general manager, it will obviously not be very good. I never truly had steak that was so soft and tender before and their sushi tasted amazing. The service was super fast like I could not believe how fast are meals everything from the appetizers to the dinner and drinks came out so fast. The ambience was nice and warm a little bit dark but in a good way if you are in the area, this will be the best place to have a nice meal with a group. It is shareable so you don't have to worry about just eating food by yourself. Came here for a big group dinner. Very flexible with reservations, they allowed me to push back our seating time even when I called just a couple hours before the allotted time. Fun, party vibe with live DJ mixing in the middle but music wasn't too loud or obnoxious. Had lounge style seating with some of us on a contemporary sofa and some of us in regular chairs. They have a nice variety of cocktails which were all nicely presented and tasty. Food was flavorful and cooked well. We sat inside which was also a vibe (and air conditioned lol). We tried almost all of the hh food items and they were all fantastic. The salt and pepper calamari were so crispy but light and super flavorful. The Korean chicken also had great flavor, a bit spicy, perfect amount of sauce, and tender meat. The shrimp tempura roll was the standout. So yummy. The only thing we didn't love was the tuna pocket as it was lacking flavor and hard to eat because it falls apart if you try to dip it in sauce.
