We were in Miami for a retreat and some of our friends had visited Charlotte Bakery earlier in the week and they had to bring us back. It has such a cute vibe and the gal behind the counter was as sweet as pie. There are so many choices including both Venezuelan and Argentinian empanadas and treats. After looking at everything I finally decided on a cheese tequeno, an Argentinian spinach and ricotta empanada, and an Especial Mariscos (seafood) empanada. I actually wasn't even able to eat any of it until later that afternoon. The cheese tequeno was so delicious. The bread was soft with a slightly sweet taste and it was packed with cheese. The spinach and ricotta was packed with flavor, crispy on the outside, full of filling on the inside. I actually didn't get a chance to eat my Especial until I brought it home from Miami to Vegas! It held over well and I was able to have this special memory of Charlotte Bakery back at home. It had a good spice profile and filled with bits of shrimp and other fish and vegetables. Next time we visit Miami, this will be on our list to stop by again!

These empanadas are dryer than the sand on the beach, and I'm not being dramatic. There was ZERO flavor. Just dry chicken breast and bread. The sauce that comes with them was good but it couldn't save how bad the empanadas were. They do offer 2 options, one fried and one baked, and I chose the baked, so maybe the fried is better. But I've had baked empanadas with more flavor and moistness than that so there is no excuse.

Stumbled across this little shop and I'm glad we found it! The lady working there had EXCELLENT customer service. She was super kind and took the time to explain the menu to us. I got one of their special empanadas - the pabellon - and the flavors were so delicious. It had shredded beef, beans, and plantains. The meat was juicy and the garlic sauce they had paired so well with it. Definitely worth the try!!

My fiance and I had a day to spend in Miami, and he really wanted to try some authentic food. We found this place on Yelp and we were sold on coming! It's a cute little spot with sooo many baked goods. We came from lunch and shared an empanada which was stuffed to the brim and was delicious. He also loves tequenos so we had to get a few. They were huge and were so good. The sauces were to die for!! We also got this corn cake stuffed with cheeses and it was sooo good. The staff were so friendly and gave us great suggestions. Overall we were very impressed!

Super darling family owned bakery and breakfast/brunch. Great place to try a variety or Argentinian, Venezuelan and Chilean cuisine. Beautiful display of pastries. I had a hard time deciding, but the ladies behind the counter were very helpful at describing everything. I had the El Venezolano- scrambled eggs with ham, chopped sweet peppers and cheese; served with arepas (Venezuelan cornmeal cakes) and a mini tequeno (fried cheese roll) I added plantains for some sweetness. Also had a ham and cheese croissant and Argentinian ham and cheese empanada. Of course, had to try a cortadito (translation = little cut) is a Cuban espresso shot often sweetened with brown sugar and served over steamed milk. ¡Muy delicioso!

The woman at the counter was very friendly. The options of empanadas and pastries were amazing! This was my favorite breakfast stop in Miami.

Prices are not updated on the website. A empanada Venezuela pavellon and a mini lunch ham and cheese. $15.82 And what bothered me the most is that he took out the mini lunch down and gave me one all burned and dry I asked him to change it because I didn't see where I got it from. I can't imagine paying $9 for something burned and dry. Be careful, this place is not for locals. Tourist prices and deceptions for tourists. .is not the same Charlotte bakery Argentina !

As soon as we went in, the staff was very welcoming and attentive. It was mid-day on a Friday when we went so we weren't SUPER hungry. She advised us that we could share a plate from the breakfast menu and we also ordered an empanada and mango juice (soooo delicious) Huevos pericos brought: Tequeño 3 arepas And the huevos pericos Empanada: Con carne They had inside seating - and our food was brought out very fresh! 10/10 recommended if you are wanting something on the go and not too expensive.

An unassuming bakery where pretty much everything is delicious! Not well labeled though, especially all the savory baked goods, so reviewing the Yelp photos beforehand is helpful to know what to order. And the Cachapas Lovers is a must! Cachapas Lovers: I can see why this is so popular! A very hearty yellow corn pancake with chewy soft cheese inside, crema-like texture cheese drizzled over and shredded cheese over that. It's a true corn and cheese lover's dream. Very filling too, as one of these split between grown men was actually enough for breakfast. Cachito: A thin dough with a slightly sweet glaze hiding a bunch of shredded ham inside. It's tasty, but a bit of ham overload. I actually find eating a tequeño side-by-side, by alternating bites of pastries, is a fun way to simulate a ham & cheese sandwich. Tequeño: I love these little cheese sticks. It's like someone decided to make a pastry version of the beloved mozzarella stick appetizer. The cheese has a nice squeaky chew at room temperature. Beef Chilean Empanada: Ground beef, hard boiled egg, raisins and olives make for quite a meal inside this baked dough shell. Loved the flavors, but the ingredients could have mixed in a bit better. It felt like all the non-beef stuff was clumped together in one corner. Shredded Chicken Venezuelan Empanada: Deep fried with an arepa-like shell. Love the rich creamy chicken side. I kinda prefer this style to the baked empanadas Guava Pastelito: Flaky pastry dough and a very generous amount of guava jelly. Like seriously, sometimes I complain about not enough guava and this totally is the answer! Caramel Cake: Felt like a Napoleon cake, but with dulce de leche on the top layer. The layers were a bit hard though, not easily break apart like what you might find at a French bakery. The custard layer was decent. Chocolate Alfajor: Buttery dry cookies, a generous amount of dulce de leche spread between and a light layer of chocolate. A very nice treat with coffee. Chocolate Covered Leche Mound: Like an open face alfajor, with just one cookie and a huge mound of dulce de leche that is then covered in chocolate. Since I'm a huge dulce de leche fan, this is more my speed.

I love it here. The pastries and cookies are so delicious. The cortaditos are good and they have almond milk if you don't use dairy. Service is fast and the ambiance is cute. They have a little instagramable table where you can take some cute pics too.

Cutest bakery shop! Has a variety of pastries and baked goods and cakes. The cinnamon tres leches is as delicious as it is huge and the black and white cookie has a filling that is so scrumptious. The prices are a bit high, but the flavor is definitely worth it!

Great South American bakery specializes in Venezuelan (fried) and Argentinian (baked) empanadas. We got the seafood and chicken Venezuelan empanadas but the seafood was by far the best. Friendly service. Fun place to get a quick snack, coffee or fresh fruit juices.

The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful outdoor setup. The lavender accents, the adorable decorative bicycle, and the refreshing mist made such a difference on a hot Miami summer day. It's the only restaurant on the block offering that kind of cooling system, and it's such a thoughtful touch. The outdoor seating is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for 2 groups of 4 without feeling crowded. As soon as I walked inside, I was greeted by a warm, cozy atmosphere. Everything was spotless the dining area, the simple yet elegant table settings, and the beautiful pastry display. You can tell they take pride in every detail!! What truly made the experience unforgettable was the customer service. The owner was there personally welcoming guests and made me feel right at home. Everyone had genuine smiles, and before I had even ordered, she generously offered me a complimentary cachapa. That level of hospitality is rare and speaks volumes about how much they care about their customers. The energy of this place is incredible warm, welcoming, and full of heart. It's the kind of restaurant that makes you want to come back, not just for the food but for the experience. I'm so happy I found this hidden gem, and I'll definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

Today, while waiting for something to print at Office Depot, I was searching for a nearby brunch spot when it popped up in my search & I'm so glad I did! First of all, the place is absolutely adorable. It was a packed Sunday morning around 11 a.m. Only one tiny table was left inside, though there were a couple outside too. Honestly, on a beautiful Miami morning, I wouldn't have minded sitting outdoors at all. What really stood out, though, was the service. Gabriela, our hostess and waitress, was wonderful. Warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind with a huge smile. She walked us through the menu, answered questions about dishes I didn't recognize (it's a Venezuelan spot, after all), and made us feel completely taken care of. Even more impressive was that she seemed to be the only waitress on duty yet never came across as flustered or hurried or anything other than pure sunshine! I ordered my longtime favorite, the arepa perica, just like I used to when I worked nearby, along with a fresh-squeezed orange juice and a chicken empanada to try. My father ordered the desayuno criollo. Everything was absolutely delicious. The presentation was beautiful, the plating thoughtful, and the flavors delivered across the board. The space was lively and full of families, making it a great Sunday brunch spot. Everything was spotless, and I don't usually call that out because it should be a given, but the restroom was impressively clean. Like extra clean. I also just learned they have multiple locations now, which is amazing. Well deserved. I can't wait to go back, and I wish them continued success.

I had ordered arepas, empanadas and ceviche. When I finally arrived to pick up I asked for the food to be remade specially the ceviche since I didn't feel comfortable eating something raw after it seating on the counter for over an hour due to their mistake. There was push back but they finally agree to re make the ceviche only. However the rest of the food was cold by the time we ate it. Very disappointing. Food was ok, not amazing or memorable

Located a couple of blocks off a major road (Washington Ave.), Las Olas Cafe felt like a hole-in-the wall neighborhood joint - a team of off-duty police officers were enjoying their dinner inside the restaurant, and families were eagerly lined up at the to-go window outside the restaurant. As I waited in line to order, I perused the menu, which included breakfast items, coffee, and a variety of sandwiches. Even though there were only a couple of customers ahead of me in line, each meal was made-to-order before the next order was taken. This meant that the staff prepared about half a dozen coffees, a couple of smoothies, and several meals before it was my turn to order. When I finally placed my order for a Cubano sandwich, I waited about 20 minutes for my food to be prepared. My sandwich was served piping hot, and I eagerly took my food to go so I could enjoy it at the beach nearby. Despite the wait (about an hour from the time I arrived at the cafe despite the short line), my food was delicious. The sandwich was stuffed with crispy shredded pork and ham, and a generous amount of mustard, melted cheese, and pickles pulled it all together.

We then asked if we could get it to go and she said no, but we didn't have a choice and we could not stay. She served it on regular plates anyway and we then had to wait for her to repackage it to go, which was carton with seran wrap which did not go well, especially for the queso fundido which is obviously meant to be eaten quickly and on the spot. In terms of ordering, they had NO ceviche, which seems to be all they won these awards for, so that was disappointing. The fish tacos we got looked NOTHING like they did in the pic - starting with the fact that they were crispy looking, breaded and fried in the pic and in real life they were just a few pieces of fish grilled. Sadly these were the best thing we ordered. The queso fundido tasted like movie theater cheez whiz. The carnitas tacos also looked nothing like the pic. Ugh. Also it was $90 total for all that and two sodas. Complete disappointment and so frustrating to have a rushed lunch that was honestly simply bad.
