The croissant absolutely melted in my mouth after being toasted for a moment it was the perfect temperature and the cheese with string with one bite. The traditional coffee here is shareable and has the best taste. This is the only place I'll ever get black coffee from. My dad shared with some locals walking up the street, and it added to such a beautiful ambience to the shop being on street side. Tasty Bakery. After landing in Miami last night and checked into my hotel on July 4th, I was hungry after watching the fireworks. Walked around for a bit to see where I can find a late night snack, but there were so many people everywhere that some places didn't have enough open seating and I saw Moises across the street. "Hey, this place doesn't look busy, maybe I'll grab something quick." The moment I walked into the bakery, I can smell the sweet, delicious aroma. I knew this had to be a great place. My eyes caught the sight of those meat stuffed bakery, I knew I can not just get one but when I got helped I literally told the older gentleman worker (He looked like the owner and he does look like a Moises) that I wanted one each of all those bakery. Well, after filling up the first box, he said he'll get a second box for the rest, but I declined only because I didn't feel like walking around carrying boxes, so I asked him to just leave it as it is and I'll just take whatever he put in the box of bakery for me. I also got a freebie bun and that was a delicacy. So yummy! This was so worth my first meal of the day after a long day of flying from the West Coast to East Coast and time difference. read more

This place is great. Yes, it's a bit small and can get very busy and crowded, but the folks that work there do a good job of noticing who is next to be served. They have a large selection of bakery goodness. The prices aren't too bad either. I always get a cafe con leche sin azucar and a couple ham croquetas and cheese empanadas because those are my must-haves at any Latin bakery in Miami. Then I like to just go buck wild and point at a couple things that I don't know what they are and try them out. I have never been disappointed with my random choices. Got sweet bread and croissants to go. So cheap and delicious. Waking in - was serviced right away and let them know I was picking up to go order. Immediately, they grabbed the bag and I was on my way. I feel like one half of sweet bread I would pay like $6 at Starbucks for. So to have the afternoon treat for less than $1 a piece was insane! Such a delicious wonderful Venezuelan bakery That was next to the best pizza place called collins pizza. I really enjoyed my dessert it was different and extremely flavorful. Hard to find parking cause it's located on Collins but we'll worth stopping in for some Venezuelan style food. The service is good and the ambiance is typical for a place that offers different types of food and pastries. This location bakes daily delicious breads, croissants, pastries, cakes, cookies and they also serve hot beverages that include coffee, tea, juices and sodas. The pastries were wonderful, it took a little bit of time to decide because all of the great amount of choices. Service is friendly and the bakery is full all the time so if a line is found outside, the wait is worth it. We ordered two coffees, two small alfajores, one piece of sweet bread and also one croissant. Everything was delicious. The croissant texture was beautiful, soft and very creamy. One small suggestion for this bakery will be to add names tags on the pastries, this will make the experience easier when ordering. Hoping they bring back the Portugues pastries soon! read more

I got the cheese empanadas and the chocolate croissant. The empanadas are absolutely horrible, the breading and cheese used are not good choices as the breading is not flaky, i don't think traditional dough for empanadas is used, and the cheese does not melt at all. Off the charts fantastic...this is a Venezuelan bakery with very authentic and very good specialty items. It does't look like much from the street, just a little small storefront place with 3-4 tables outside and 2 inside, but WOW the food is good. I've literally never had anything here I did not like. Almost the entire menu I have tried at one point or the other, since it's close to home. Personal favorites are spinach empanadas, quesillo (Venezuelan flan, slightly more caramel custard) and coffee with arequipe. Arequipe is more or less dulce de leche caramel syrup. Used as a sweetener for coffee it's amazing. The staff here are such upbeat neighborhood fixtures it's hard not to smile going in, even on a bad day. I have to say Moises Bakery does have an impeccable selection of baked goods, whether it be baguettes, or empanadas or croissants or pastries. The pastries are priced right and could easily crush a dozen of the guava ones (or guava with cheese). The pan frances is plenty crusty yet has a pillowy soft interior. The almond croissant was just alright (needs more almond flavor but was plenty flaky). Parking is just street, so it might be good, might be hard pending on when you go. I do appreciate that they open early as this was the place I find after coming right after sunrise. I used to live in the apartments next door, and before I went to school, my mother and I always went to Moises and grabbed some tequeños. I cannot recommend another place just like Moises. I have so many memories there that i will forever cherish and never forget. If another bakery opens like Moises, oh man they will not survive. I must recommend this location to anyone in the area, coming to miami, or just want a snack! Their service is very fast, friendly, and most importantly, hispanic! Idk if its just me but i am very picky when it comes to latin restaurants because i will not eat there unless they are actually hispanic, unlike chipotle. Stopped in to Moises Bakery tonight for a sweet treat. It's a small little bakery, reminds me of a locals place. Clean, welcoming and very busy! The employees were very attentive to the customers and also kept tabs on who was next. The selection of pastries, filled breads; empanadas, rolls and the deli section was abundant. I wasn't familiar with Venezuelan pastries so I tried something new. It was like a sweet sugar sprinkled bread stuffed with a delicious cream. Luciano was my server and she was extremely pleasant to speak with. I also had a small croissant that was topped with a delicious cream. If you enjoy pastries of all kinds, breads of all types stuffed with creams fruits or meats than you must put this quaint little spot on your list. You will not be disappointed! Solid place to get an espresso fuerte. Had a dulce de leche bread twist. Was fresh and slightly sweet. Also had a Venezuelan empanada, Ham and Cheese and it was phenomenal. Definitely try the green mayo that is on the table to dip with. Empanada was moist, and stuffed with thick ham slices layered with white soft cheese. Some tables inside, a couple outside that are in direct sun. I don't know why up we don't have more good strong coffee up North, but I do know Miami has plenty. read more
