Discount Cuban Food. Three of us ate for $30 in total ... not too bad. Coffee, rice, beans and maduros were absolutely wonderful. Mains, soups and baked goods were meh. On the plain meat I got served for my main course (Liver with onions and green peppers), I forgot about the hot sauce on my table. I have little doubt that hot sauce would have helped a lot. * * * Arahi's is on the eastern fringe of Little Havana. Go west on Calle Ocho and you hit the epicenter of the Little Havana tourist zone. This part of Calle Ocho is to be avoided like the plague. Go farther west and you are in Cafe Versailles and La Carreta land. Once again Cuban paradise has been restored. * * * You are not here for legendary Cuban. You go to Havana Harry's for that. You are not here for portions that are massive beyond massive beyond massive. Again you go to Havana Harry's for that. You are here for everyday Plain Jane Cuban at an attractive price. The place is 2/3 full most of the time - which is pretty good. Nearly all of the customers are old Cubans. There is not a tourist to be seen. The menu is written in illegible handwriting on a plastic board. Bring your reading glasses. Bring your willingness to take random guesses as to what the more incomprehensible lines actually mean. But there is more to like than to dislike. If you ate here regularly, you would find the main dishes they have here that are actually pretty good. * * * If you go to one and only one Cuban restaurant in Miami, Arahi's bakery shouldn't be it. If live in Miami, you are not made of money, and the rent for your apartment is killing you, Arahi's looks better and better. read more

This is the best bakery in town to have breakfast and lunch. I've been coming here since I was 10 years old and have brought my kids here every time we are town. Same friendly faces and amazing Cuban food and treats at a decent price. It's my go to every time. read more

Horrible service sat in table as it's come on and seat one of the old lady's even the owner will attend you well I sat there for 15mins an NOONE attended me they even acknowledged me by saying hello as I thought I was gonna me served or asked if I needed something finally I had to wave my hands to get the owners attention which in turn asked one of the ladies to come to me by that time I just picked up and left not going there again !!! read more

I was with one of my team mates last week and they mentioned they had never had Cuban food in Miami. This needed to change and fast. So we started our morning with breakfast from Arahi's bakery. Authentic and in the heart of Little Havana The mood was set with chickens crossing the street from where we parked, in front of the venue was an older man playing guitar and singing. We walked in and got in line, the ordering is much like a cafeteria or classic deli, "almost" everything on display in deli glass encasements. If you don't speak Spanish, learn to or get good at pointing because this is super authentic and some of the staff do not speak English. Make sure you come for the croquettes, the empanadas, papa rellenos (potato balls deep fried with meat filling) the pastries are heavenly (guava and cheese, coconut, flan) the Cubano sandwich, the cafecito (Cuban espresso, black and sweetened with Demerara sugar during brewing) AKA jet fuel. Fresh juices, Any of the house specials - vaca frita, chicken soup) And the price point is beyond reasonable .... This is your best start to the day for Cuban when visiting Miami or anywhere in the USA for that matter read more

I have LITERALLY been coming to this establishment since 2005, when I was a baby associate at a public accounting firm on Brickell and did not know a lick of Spanish - never mind that I am born and raised here in South Florida. . From the early visits where I would point and learn what everything was called to ten years later living in Lil Havana to this past Sunday at 530a - EVERYONE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH has not only been gracious with my more than gringa accent and butchering español... they provide THE BEST service (despite some of the reviews below) and the carne pastelitos, coco & guava & guava n cheese pastries, jamon & bacalao croquetas and last but certainly not least papas rellenas ARE ALWAYS SPOT ON. Now?! You may ask?! How does this Gringa that doesn't know at this point only un poco habla español be able to give them a ***** rating ?! Because, folks... I am a self-certified foodie AND?! in the past 16.5 years that I have been frequenting this establishment... you bet I have had more than enough other restaurants, Versailles obviously included... to compare them to. I literally drove from South East Boca / Deerfield Beach allllllll the way to 8th to drive alllll the way back to Fort Lauderdale because 1) north of Miami is lacking a great Cuban bakery AND 2) the ones north of Miami don't even open to 6:00a and 8:00a on a Sunday... and, I needed to be at my destination at 630a. While there were three people in front of me- Madeline knew how to handle all three of them AND me included ... with patience and ease... I used to live 100ft away yet had never been here weirdly enough. Croquettas were delicious. Only weird think is the woman that took my order, grabbed half of my order than started chatting with another customer that came in after for quite a while, then continued my order. Pretty shameless to do that. But she was friendly. Nice place and I'd love to eat more of those croquettas. read more

I stopped by here today since our favorite bakery was closed. I used to come here a lot. But today, I had media Noche and croqutta de bacalao. Both food were cold inside. Bacalao was freshly made but didn't cook it through. My husband said his sandwich was just ok too. I don't think I will go back. There are so many bakeries in Little Havana. read more

Amazing family-owned bakery in Little Havana! I tried their colada (cuban coffee) and guava cheese pastry. Both were delicious. The guava pastry was a perfect treat with flakey pastry dough and it wasn't too sweet. They had so many pastries and cakes that I am looking forward to trying soon! read more

Best Cuban coffee in Miami, I even ordered an extra to go, heated it up the next day and it was just as good! Got a few pastries to go with it and they did not disappoint. If you want the true Cuban experience in Miami- come to Arahi's. The ambiance is true to the culture and the people are so attentive and nice. Having breakfast with my Cuban husband's family for many years -- THIS is where you want to order/eat from. We ordered the "Plato desayuno" this comes with toasted buttered bread, eggs (fried or scrambled), and coffee. (Of course you can customize it). The simplicity of this is what makes Arahi's a gem. read more

Love this local bakery. They serve breakfast and are open way earlier than others and believe they also offer lunch. The ladies here are incredible and although overwhelmed with business try to show their patience with everyone. The bakery goods are also very good and what sets them apart is the better quality and taste of their food as compared to other nearby places, but their service and attentiveness to their customers. This is a local shop that has been servicing the local community for many years and as such they have a loyal following. Once you stop by you will see why. BTW the ladies do speak a bit of English but are predominantly Spanish as most of the older businesses are. If you don't speak the language be patient or ask help from other customers and you will be guided right. read more

UPDATE: a day later. What a shame. I'd originally given this place 4 stars but if I could leave them 0 starts I would. So they've got two locations. Something I didn't know. I called the number I got off google and showed up to the Taco Bell location. They told me they didn't have a phone order and I must've called the other location. So I drove there, it's just right up the street. The Bakery was very busy but I was respectfully trying to get the attention of someone given that I'd placed my order 25 ago already. People that got there after me were tended to before anyone directed their attention towards me. Someone finally asked what I wanted in a rude manner and I told them I had a phone order. The girl had to ask around and after asking 4 different people they finally told her they had it. I asked another lady if my order was ready and the lady asked someone else. This other person was SOOOO RUDE. She started screaming to the lady I initially asked and me saying she'd already told me she had the order and I had to wait. I was so hungry I swallowed my pride and waited a bit longer. After seeing so many walking out with their food after I deliberately called to not have to wait so long I walked out. They need to train their employees at the 745 SW 8 street on how to treat other human beings and how to be more organized. PREVIOUS REVIEW: This bakery is on 8th street right across the street from Taco Bell. I came across it when making a wrong turn. The pan & bistec here is so incredibly good!!!! I've come back for it over and over again. The steak is so well seasoned and cooked - I love it! The only down side is that they are a little slow but in turn it's also a good thing because that means orders are two being made fresh to order. Another great quality: prices are great!! read more

Stayed in little Havana for a few days and came here twice. It's a very mom and pop family style bakery. I don't speak Spanish, and the employees were so nice and helped me without any issues. Everything they serve is authentic and delicious. From their croquettes, pastelitos, to their fresh cuban bread they make every day was all 5 stars. All their sandwiches are served on their homemade bread. Highly recommend eating here. Don't forget to get their coffee! read more

I hadn't come here in such a long time since is far from my house. I really wanted a delicious cuban breakfast so I decided to take a drive and I have to say it was so worth the drive. We placed two orders of breakfast, 6 ham croquettes, a side of bacon and an extra cuban toast. The breakfast consists of Eggs(scrambled, sunny side up, or with ham), cuban toast, cafe con leche and french fries. Madelyn was our server and I have to say it was AMAZING customer service and very welcoming, she stopped by to ask if everything was good and if we needed anything. I will definitely take the drive, everything was so so delicious from the breakfast to the ham croquettes to our cafe con leche. DEFINITELY will recommend it to anyone and definitely will be coming back more often. One last thing their cuban toast here is made to perfection. Unfortunately we were so hungry I took a picture at the end when we had finished with everything oops. read more

Welcome to Miami! Lol this is my first review for a place in Miami since I arrived here last night! Looking forward to tasting more of the cuisine that Miami has to offer!! Firstly... Let me start by saying that there was one Cuban bakery in Vegas that I knew of... Went there once... Loved the food... Went back a second time only to find that it had shut down... Imagine my dismay!!! :( So imagine my excitement when I discovered that Arahis bakery was walking distance from me. :) I went there for my first meal in Miami and yes the ambiance could use some work as it was very outdated and very dirty... Most of the tables when I walked in were dirty. So hence the -1 star. But the food was great! I got their breakfast combo... They had one person that could speak English and since my Spanish is pretty much non existent.. She was a great help! The breakfast combo consists of eggs, bacon or ham, fries and toasted Cuban bread with massive amounts of butter and Cafe con leche. Ok.. The eggs were just eggs... But the bacon was delicious! I don't think that it was normal American bacon cuz it was not as salty and they deep fried it!! I love me some fried bacon! :) The fries were extra crispy and the bread with the butter...omg... The bread was amazing. Very soft in the middle but the outside had this great crispy texture. 2 thumbs up in my book! :) 4/5 Their Cafe con leche...oh yeah... It's like everyone said... It's amazing! I got the dark... And it was lightly sweetened... With the milk all mixed in... It was amazeballs! And to think that they are right around the corner.. Heck yeah!! 5/5 I also got their beef empanadas... Not alot of beef compared to the size of the dough... But the beef was surprisingly delicious! So good!! 4/5 I also got their guava pastries to go as well. Haven't tried those yet.. But if they are like everything else I've tried there then I'm prepared to be amazed! :) I think I found my breakfast joint. :) And to think that I got all that food for only $10.15. crazy. Stopped in here for breakfast while on vacation. Our AirBnB was right around the corner. Always fun to flex my Spanish-speaking muscles, and it's definitely necessary here. The only complaint this so-so Spanish-speaker has is the menu board was difficult to read. That influenced my decision about what I ordered. The other food looked delicious. The sweets and cafe con leche I had were good. This place could clean up a bit. The cakes in the windows, while pretty, had been there a while. Some were damaged; a few had dead crane flies in them. read more

If this place doesn't remind you of eating at your relatives house then I don't know what does. So simple yet oh so good. Ordered a few orders of scramble eggs with ham which came with cuban bread w/butter, fries and a piping hot cup of cafe con leche. Also had ham croquettas on the side. Everything was amazing! The croquettas were out of this word. It had a nice smoked flavor, geez I'm hungry now. Very affortable and from the looks of it very popular with locals. I came back the next day to try a colada which I heard was a must and should be shared because its strong. It was good. They have a large assortment of pastries which look just as delicious. We booked a 6:30 PM reservation so we could grab a happy hour drink before hand. I think the cocktails at the happy hour bar are different from the regular menu. I had an apricot gin cocktail that I didn't love, but was decent and a slow slipper and my husband had a campari cocktail that is great if you like campari. The bartender was accommodating and overheard me asking my husband if he knew how to spritz the lemon peel like she did but he hadn't been paying attention so she did it again. For dinner, I spotted the table next to us dining on the rolls and Caesar salad and decided I wanted both. The server mentioned that salad is one of their most popular. The rolls were light and fluffy, and very large with sweet and savory honey butter. The Caesar salad was good. It comes out as large leafs of romaine, which is a nice presentation but I do think that leads to breadcrumb and dressing distribution being uneven. It was a very good salad dressing though, not too tart or heavy but still creamy and zesty. For our entrees we had the cavatelli with duck ragu which was my favorite. There were both crispy and tender elements to the duck and the pasta just melted in your mouth. We saved a tiny bit of it to take home because we couldn't stop nibbling on it, and it was great the next day too. They brought our steak out after our pasta. We should have specified we wanted them at the same time. By the time our steak arrived we were pretty full. The steak was served tender and juicy. We got the Prime Hanger. I appreciated that the server mentioned their two less expensive cuts were very popular instead of trying to upsell us on their pricier options, as we were very happy with this option. We had some steak leftover as well which was delicious the next day too. As it was perfectly medium rare, we were able to heat it up on a skillet without it overcooking much. We ordered the Bernaise sauce with our steak, but it was not necessary and I probably would have skipped it. Service was good and pretty efficient. They made sure to check on us frequently but the meal was good without any additions. I don't remember if when booking I requested an outdoor table but their patio is quite hot in summer. I think they need some outdoor fans to help with the heat as I was shvitzing a bit. If I were to visit again in the summer I would make sure to specify the need for an indoor table, but I'm sure it's lovely in the winter months. There was also the occasionally fly near our food which did kill the mood a bit and some table fans might help with. There is a gravel parking lot next to the restaurant. When we arrived there was only one spot available so it does fill up.
