My boyfriend and I recently took a trip to Miami, and we made it a point to try a Cuban restaurant we never had before. We made the best choice by coming here. The decor is fitting and authentic. The service is top tier, friendly, and very personable. Every single thing we ate was a 10 out of 10. The ropa vieja was perfectly seasoned, and it was probably the best I have ever had. The Frituras De Malanga were tasty, cooked well, and perfectly seasoned. The cortado at the end of the meal was some of the best Cuban coffee in Miami. Needless to say, we will be back every trip!!
As we entered the restaurant, we were promptly greeted by Lauren one of the owners of this family run Cuban restaurant tucked away on Calle Ocho. We had just left the Marlins game and we were in the mood for a quick bite to eat I had the traditional Cuban sandwich which was moist, tasty, delicious, made with quality ingredients. The hubs had the Churrasco steak sandwich with a few alterations to his liking. They were accommodating and the sandwich was cooked to juicy perfection. Everything came out as ordered and served with a smile. Look forward to returning and having a traditional Cuban meal.
There's a good reason this very clean, quaint and authentically decorated family-run restaurant has such a great rating. The hostess/server was genuinely sweet and charming. The Cuban sandwich my son had and my Ropa Vieja were outstanding... but the star of the show, in my opinion, was their black beans. They were served as a side to my order but I could've eaten a huge bowl of them. The flavor of the caldo (juice) they were served in was exceptional! Oh, I almost the drinks! My homemade lemon drink and my son's cubalibre complimented our meals perfectly!
Lauren was such a sweet host, with amazing personal service we had amazing fresh honestly cuban food in an authentic warm atmosphere. Mom and dad were in kitchen cooking EVERYTHING with such passion. It was served hot and delicious it is my fave Cuban restaurant in Miami area. I will return again and again.

Great service from start to finish. It's a small cafe where they make you feel at home from start to finish. Greeting you with a smile and helpful menu recommendations. We tried a bit of everything- salad, plantains, and fish stew. Portions are super generous, so come hungry.
So far the best hands down Cuban little hole in the wall restaurant. It's a cute mom and pop restaurant that has about 8 different tables inside that serves traditional Cuban plates with lovely coffee and smoothie selections. The woman that runs the front is the sweetest little angel that is working non-stop to make sure you as a patron has the best experience. The wait for the food is worth it. The traditional fish stew was the first plate I've tried and was heavenly - perfectly seasoned with a nice balanced plate with ensalada and plantains. The maracuya smoothie was perfect as well with no added sugars (all natural). You won't regret coming here.

I selected the fish stew served over rice with plantains, while my husband chose the garlic shrimp with rice and black beans. We did not leave a single bite on our plates. The food was absolutely delicious -- each dish was balanced, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Although dessert was tempting, we declined because we were both completely full and satisfied. This small family owned restaurant was my choice based on all the great reviews they received. The restaurant is eclectic in decorations, the tables and chairs are valid sizes and mismatched. But, that lends itself to the homey feel. The hostess and server is one of the family that owns this restaurant. The food is fresh and made to order. Don't be in a rush when you go here. Trust me the food is worth the wait. My favorite was the empanada. The pastry was flaky and crisp. It was one of the best empanadas that I've had and I'm still thinking about it. Visit Habana Con B you won't regret it.
A great hidden gem on Calle Ocho! All the food I tried was amazing, and our server was very kind. I would recommend the lechón asado and the empanadas de carne. It can be really hard to find a Cuban restaurant that has great food, service, and atmosphere, but this place checked all the boxes.
It's was a nice neighborhood restaurant, authentic and flavorful. The dining area looks like your grandma's house. Food was simple and non fussy. The server were very attentive and friendly. Glad that we got out the hote and tried a different take on lechon and fish stew.

I requested a reservation with the restaurant three hours prior on their website from Key West after craving Cuban food. I was concerned we'd arrived to the restaurant and get declined but within thirty minutes I received a follow up email. Outside seemed to have a parking garage farther down but I paid for street parking for my own connivence. I love the attention to detail with the decor and felt like I transported to Cuba. Our waitress made me feel like I was eating at a loved one's home and enjoying our company. There's no rush to leave after finishing meals either, just enjoying the moment with those around you. I would definitely detour to Miami again, just for this. read more

We recently took a trip to Miami for the first time and I was determined to find some good Cuban food. We decided to try Habana Con B and I'm so glad we did! This is the best Cuban food I have had! It is a small charming restaurant, and they were very attentive to us and patient with our kids. When our plates came out, our kids devoured their food FAST! My kids are picky eaters and they absolutely loved the food, so much so that they requested a second plate. Everything we had was delicious! And the desert was phenomenal!! I wish we lived closer to come here more often, but we will definitely be back when visiting Miami in the future. read more
Tasty family run Cuban restaurant! The lady who served us was from Havana and rightly proud of her roots and food they were serving! Everything was delicious from the home made lemon/limeade (tastes like the Brazilian one) to the croquettes, and fish and shrimp platters we were served. The shrimp dish I got was a garlic butter shrimp with the plumpest shrimps I've had served with plaintains and black bean rice. The fish special my wife got was tuna and tomato and she got it served with rice and salad. (I kept a Cuban flag and she thought I was crazy) Def worth a visit in Old Town Havana! read more

A great hidden gem on Calle Ocho! All the food I tried was amazing, and our server was very kind. I would recommend the lechón asado and the empanadas de carne. The food was AMAZING! I had the ham croquettes, lechón asado, and deep fried plantains. The mojito is an absolute must! The best I've had in a long time. Lauren provided fantastic service and we're very happy to have us visit. The environment is warm, friendly, and welcoming. If you are in Miami, you have to eat here! read more
Definitely a hole in the wall!! I usually pass by this area and never really noticed until today! Walked in and immediately the decor was superb. So so cute! Very welcoming ambiance and perfect for pictures. The server is the sweetest and makes sure we're taken care of every moment. We ordered the Ropa vieja empanadas which were delicious but could used more filling of meat. It's a 60/40 ratio but the taste is impeccable, & the cilantro sauce is definitely homemade so fresh and paired perfectly. While we waited for our main dish we played domino which made the experience more homely. To finish off we had the churrasco sandwich which was good just wish is was made on cuban bread and had a little more flavor to it ! The restaurant is pricey for only getting 4 items was about $65,But overall the spot is adorable and the service is 10/10. read more

We stumbled into this hole in the wall cuban restaurant on a Sunday after our goto restaurant was closed and there was a huge music street festival. I had the chicken with chimichurri, salad and matures. My wife the Cameron's with garlic and butter. I flushed it down with 2 ice cold beers. Their cordatitos are well done as well. Their food is very tasty, the service is good, the ambiance cozy and we can recommend this establishment. read more

What a hidden gem! The food was delicious and the decor was picture worthy. The decor is so cute, it makes the restaurant feel like you are eating at your Grandparents house. Everywhere you look, there's a cute detail that adds charm. We ordered the rope vieja and cuban sandwich for lunch. I highly recommend this restaurant! I can't say enough good things about this hidden gem in Little Havana. This sweet little restaurant is found just past all the noise and crowds of Calle 8 in Little Havana in Miami. It's small and feels like I'm walking into a family dining room. Which is fitting because that is exactly how they make you feel from the moment you walk in! The food is on another level of amazing. It's all homemade by the owners and/or her parents. Everything from the tostones, to the churrasco (chef's kiss!) and the roasted chicken, the fresh made smoothies and drinks (passionfruit, piña coladas), to the amazing homemade tres leches and flan - you won't find more authentic and delicious Cuban food that comes along with genuine welcoming family-like environment. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Trust me - it's worth the extra walk past the noise of Calle 8. And we will definitely be back any time we're in Miami. read more

Amazing authentic restaurant in Little Havana run by a lovely couple from Cuba. The food was nothing short of amazing! The churrasco was soft and juicy, the Ropa Vieja was 'sabrosa' and the Cuban sandwich exactly what you would expect in La 'Habana'. We ended the meal with Flan Cubano and Tres Leches Cubano. Perfect evening for our group of 7. We will return and will strongly suggest others to visit. You will not be disappointed. read more

The service was fantastic. The restaurant is small and intimate, with a cozy, slightly older vibe. Our waitress greeted us, seated us, and provided the menu. We started with empanadas, which were delicious, followed by the poblanos rellenos, also very tasty. For our main course, we shared the white rice with chicken and black bean stew, which was decent, but not as impressive as the other dishes. I recently attended the 2024 Calle Ocho Festival in Little Havana, and in speaking with other attendees, I kept encountering questions that centered on the same themes: What happened to the old Calle Ocho Festival? Why has it become so overly commercialized? And, most importantly, for purposes of this review, Is there any place on Calle Ocho where we can experience an authentic Cuban ambiance and REAL Cuban food? Well, I am elated to report that there indeed is such a place. Just a short walk east of SW 11th Avenue, you will arrive at 10O5 SW 8th Street, the home of Habana con B ("Habana with a 'B'") Habana con B is not your typical touristy restaurant offering a watered-down version of Cuban food... Habana con B is The Real Deal. The restaurant, which has only been open for a few months, definitely exhibits that "wow" factor that you experience the first time you enter a great restaurant. The magic commences the minute you walk through the door and are greeted by co-owner and hostess Laurent, who will welcome you with a genuinely sincere and welcoming smile. From the succulent pork in the tostones rellenos to the savory magic of the camarones al ajillo... to the out-of-this-world desserts (flan and tres leches being the standouts), not to mention their delectable croquetas and empanadas, a visit to Habana con B amounts to a mouthwatering feast for your taste buds. To top it all off, Laurent will prepare for you the best sweet Cuban espresso this side of heaven. I have been there many times, and they never fail to amaze me with the quality of the food, the subdued elegance of its ambiance, and the warmth of its staff. Habana con B is truly a down-home family restaurant. Kitchen duties are principally handled by Laurent's Dad Victor, who is a professional chef, and her Mom, Mildrey, who also cooks up a delicious storm of true Cuban delights. We loved: roast pork, fish croquettes, black beans, yucca, and rice. The flan was among the best we've ever had. Cute restaurant. Family ran business. Service was amazing. Food and drinks were excellent oh and the home made desserts. Yummy. (We might stop by today just for more dessert) You can tell that the food is made with love. Great flavors. We will be back when we visit Miami again. I loved this cute little cuban restaurant! If I lived here, I'd probably come back all the time! This appears to be a family run place, managed with lots of love. Polite and attentive service. It was quiet, especially compared to the loud restaurant/ bars further to the West on Calle Ocho. They serve typical cuban dishes. We split the appetizer sampler plate and a cuban sandwich. Both were delish! I especially loved splitting the sampler platter, as we could try several items without getting over-loaded! Also, for an after dinner treat, there is a nice little gelato shop right around the corner. read more
First off, I would have lost faith in yelp if this place did not have five stars. As you walk in, it feels like you're walking into someone's home and the service reinforces that. I felt as if I was being treated like family. They have Cuban music playing throughout which gave it a great Havana feeling. Now the food. Outstanding. Every dish we had was delicious, but the flan had to be the best we've ever had. I'm not much of a dessert guy so I don't post about them but this is an exception. Lives up to its 5 Star rating. Adorable, quaint restaurant with amazing food and amazing service. We shared everything so we could try a little of several items. The Ham Croquettes were great and the sauce made them even more. Waitress recommended the Yucca Frittas, great choice. Oh, the sandwich. We had the Medinoche. The meat was perfectly seasoned, the bread perfect. A must return spot for us! read more

I saw the Yelp reviews and decided we had to try this place since we were in Little Havana. One of the store vendors also recommended this place. The restaurant is run by a family. The mother and father cook and their daughter is the maitre d and waitress. She is very friendly and warm and very caring about her customers. We shared an order of croquettes and roasted pork with plantains and mouro (rice and beans). Everything was delicious. The place is beautifully decorated and was done by the owner. Check out the bar counter, her husband designed it. The restaurant is a bit further away from the part of Calle Ocho that has lots of restaurants. It's worth checking out. read more

This is a small authentic, and very friendly family owned Cuban restaurant. Lauren, the owner greets you as you walk in, and mom and dad are in the kitchen cooking some of the best Cuban food we've ever had. It was so good, we went back again our second night in town. read more
