Visited on a Thursday for brunch and opted for indoor seating. Very cute decorations and the staff were all very kind and attentive. Got the arepa pabellon and it was super tasty. I love plantains and liked how the sweetness balanced the saltiness of the cheese and shredded beef. The only downside I feel I should add is that while I was waiting for the check, my friend pointed out a huge cockroach on the wall right behind me... though there is more of an indoor/outdoor aspect to the place... so I'd still come back.. heh read more

Came to Miami early to grab brunch before we headed on our cruise, and this place was right around the location of where we had to be to check in, so we stopped by here first. We were the first customers to sit down and were seated quickly; the server was attentive and asked us if things were good, and of course, the coffee and food were delicious! The coffee definitely hit the spot after a red-eye flight, the ambiance was awesome as the music was vibing and the AC was awesome, as it was super hot that day! Everything came out quickly, and I don't mind coming back to try more of the menu next time! read more

Hole in the wall authentic Miami Cuban+ breakfast. I had the Desayuno Sitio, a perfect mix of seasoned shredded beef, pan, queso, dos huevos sunny side up y frijoles. Take your time and mix and match each bite. You will not be disappointed. Cafe con leche was on point. Mmmm.... Husband had Desayuno Junquito. Pork rind was well prepared and flavorful, arepas small and easy to handle. We sat in the tiny "outdoor" seating(under cover). There's a lot more seating inside. Server was patient with our broken Spanish and I felt comfortable mixing Spanish and English. Trust Yelp and check them out!! read more

I went for empanadas (which never disappoint) and was excited when I noticed they also had cachapa on the menu which is my favorite Venezuelan dish. Chicken empanadas came out first and were good, when cachapa came out it had alot of black on it, burnt but disguised by the abundant cheese put on top. I decided to try a corner and see if it was edible and it was not, the burnt flavor was too overpowering. When I kindly asked if it could be made again because it was visibly burnt, I was told "thats the way it is, it is the way the dish is meant to be" I went back-and-forth a bit with someone from the staff, told him how much I love this dish and how many times I've eaten it in the past in other places, told him about the burnt flavor and he only doubled down "Its made on the grill, if we make it again, it will come out the same, it how it is". Our main waiter (who was always kind) you could tell was a bit embarrassed and offered to switch it out for another dish, I declined and asked for the bill. The bill came with two empanadas and a passionfruit juice that was ordered, but never even delivered to the table, they also ended up removing that. Beyond being disappointed by the actual food, I've never experienced that someone would not even be willing to respond with empathy or care to try to make it right. Will never return, do not recommend. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants downtown. I have come back for the tequenos and cachapas countless times. FOOD I recommend the Cachapa Santa Barbara, w medium rare steak. It's any cheese lovers heaven. Their app sampler platter is also great for sharing if you just want a bite of everything. Perfect amount for 2 people for lunch too. SERVICE Pretty standard. Waters were refilled and we were checked in on multiple times. AMBIANCE Hole in the wall vibes. They have indoor seating in the air condition or outdoor seating that's covered. They also have WiFi read more

Came in for coffee, but our server was so attentive, he convinced us to try an empanada. Out of this world. Sweet plantain with cheese. Delicious. The coffee was great as well. The place is cutely decorated and smack in the middle of downtown. Have to return to try their ajiaco soup! read more

There are numerous choices for Venezuelan food in Miami, but if you want to experience a place really authentic, with spot-on "SAZÓN", and one of the best cazón empanadas in the city (traditional dogfish empanadas from the Venezuelan Oriente coast), El Sitio is your place. And the smiles and customer service will make you return again and again. The only set back, parking is not easy in downtown Miami. Enjoy your visit! read more

Miami's downtown area is the hood for you to adventure yourself in local Miami cultural flavors like the one offered by El Sitio, or in English, The Spot, which probably is literally "The Place" to eat if you are looking for comfy Venezuelan traditional food that will satisfy your appetite, as well your budget. The service is quick and warmly set up by the team, especially when it is led by one of its charismatic waiters. I ordered the "Catira" arepa which mixes chicken and yellow shredded cheese, and the filling was pretty consistent, as well as the chicken was freshly prepared. My friends opted for a Pabellón Arepa which consists of sweet fried plantain, beans, and pulled-seasoned meat. Pabellón is the Venezuelan national and traditional lunch dish, and basically, this arepa is stuffed with all of it in a single take, so imagine its heavy structure. Even though the fillings were very generous, the toast of the arepa wasn't enough, actually, it was very soft and kind of tasteless in the corn wheat mix, if they grilled the outside, it could actually result in an authentic arepa experience. My other friend went for a cachapa which is a sweet corn-based pancake topped with Venezuelan Guayanes cheese. The Guyanese cheese is the best of a cachapa, because it melts in its buttery layer crepe loaft. This version also includes meat as a topping, which makes it even more of a complete option for you to crave a Venezuelan tasty snap. Overall the portions are huge and considering the price, it is one of Miami's most affordable places where the three famous Venezuelan "B" characteristics are accomplished, Bueno, Bonito, Barato! read more

WOW. If you're looking for some amazing Venezuelan food and coffee, El Sitio has it all. We ordered the El Sitio Sampler plate, which comes with a bunch of different types of food items. This was a great appetizer for the whole table. We also got the beef empanada and cachapa Santa Barbara (steak, avocado, cheese). Both were fantastic. The batter used to make a lot of their items had whole corn kernels, which really enhanced the texture and eating experience. Service was super speedy and friendly (Oscuar was awesome)! Plenty of indoor seating, definitely more of a hole-in-the-wall vibe. read more

Leo , Pao, and Vero were the best! We came with a large group for the first time because we heard the food was good and we all want to come back as soon as possible ; the Pepito was delicious , and the whole team was so helpful in helping us choose what would be best for our group. read more

The food and drinks were delicious! We ordered a sandwich and an arepa. The way they mixed the chicken with the sauce made it one of the neatest arepas I've had the pleasure of eating. And it was loaded with chicken! The service was quick and friendly. The place was cute and had a very homey coffee bar vibe. The fresh flowers on the table were a nice touch as well. read more

Was walked back to the dinner area. It's a little smaller then expected. Was created by our server who was very informative as they have a very large selection of menu items. Food came out in a timely manner, and was amazing! Our waiter checked in on us frequently. The breads were so flavorful as did all the meats. Everything was very filling. Definitely returning her on our next visit. read more

Came here for our first meal in Miami and had a great experience! They were serving this seafood soup for free as a first course and it was honestly extremely delicious - plenty of ingredients and super flavorful. The service was also super friendly, good at taking care of us, and overall made the experience really pleasant. The menu had a good variety of food and we settled on a breakfast item as well as some other of their specialties like arepas and a cachapa. The cachapa was our favorite due to the sweetness of the wrap, but the arepa was fantastic as well honestly. The breakfast dish we got was super filling and also had a lot of amazing variety - would definitely recommend if you're looking for a full meal! Overall, we had a great time here and I'd certainly come back for a good meal and kind service. Thanks, El Sitio! read more

I had a terrible experience and it was all my fault. I went to this restaurant on a Saturday night and went because I heard/read great things. What I failed to do was order food appropriate for this restaurant.y Because it was a Saturday night, I ordered the big family platter (waiter highly recommended) which had all the proteins and then some. However the served French fries were cold, lettuce black, tomatoes green and the plates they provided were coffee saucers. At best, almost everything on that place was mediocre and mostly non-traditional. So if you go there, go what the place is famous for. Try the traditional arepas, maybe some Tequeos, Cachapas, Patacones, and I do not know what else. Maybe even try the breakfast...but only if it is not served on a coffee saucer. Just dont go for a dinner meal because if you do, you'll be as dumb as I was read more

Delicious. Had an empanada, and it was amazing!! They put in cheese with grilled plantains, and beef. Highly recommend if you are out in the town past 3 am . I was able to buy food fortunately even when they were closed (they took my payment through the gate). Service was amazing, very friendly and had great recommendations. Couldn't see the ambiance since they were closed but from what I could tell it looks very chill since it's also a coffee bar. read more

Mal servicio, cachapa estaba horrible, incomible las empanadas muy grasosas la atención del personal muy mala

Tried the mini empanadas and enjoyed them. Great service. Would definitely return again

This place is a gem! It's unassuming and simple from the outside but if you want authentic flavorful Venezuelan food - this is the place to go! Servings are big, the meat - juicy and perfectly cooked! From the arepas, the empanadas, the fresh juices, and the desserts - you can count on this restaurant for serving food with lots of love and flavor ! You can taste the freshness of the food too and is definitely one of my best finds. Will definitely come back read more

We ordered the cachapa Santa Barbara. The meat was not medium rare like we asked. The cachapa was served cold, not freshly made. The meat was not picanha. It tasted tough, fatty, and there was a small amount. You could tell this was leftover and was not freshly made. read more

I needed a quick fix before going to an event in Brickell and stumbled upon (via Yelp of course) this little gem. The steak pepito was amazing. I was shocked with how fresh and flavorful it was. It was served hot with fries. The garlic sauce on the side was not essential but also a delightful addition. I ordered a cafe con leche - delicious. I could only eat half, so I brought my leftovers to the event. Sadly, someone accidentally threw it out. What a disheartening experience! Aside from that mishap, I was happy with this find. El Sitio is quaint and unassuming but filled with kind staff and a neat ambiance. I'm not in Brickell often, but I've got it bookmarked for a future occasion. The service was great. The guys working the counter and in the kitchen were kind and friendly. read more

If you're in search of delicious Venezuelan food to take on the go, this place is an absolute gem. My mom and I stopped by to grab some beef and cheese empanadas to enjoy at the beach, and it turned out to be the perfect choice for the occasion. The empanadas were a delightful surprise. They were incredibly fresh, and the fillings were bursting with flavor. It's evident that the ingredients used were of high quality, and the attention to detail in the preparation shone through in every bite. While the empanadas may be a bit on the pricey side, they make up for it in size. They are substantial enough to keep you satisfied, making them a worthwhile treat. The staff was friendly but the place itself is very small so I would recommend this place for a to-go occasion. read more

My only regret is not ordering more! This coffee bar is truly just a street side restaurant. You can easily miss it if you are not looking for it. This little spot is located on NE 2nd Ave across the street from my office in the DuPont Building. A very unassuming store front, El Sitio fits right into the downtown atmosphere. But El Sitio also brings a different flavor amongst the myriad of Cuban and Peruvian cafes littered across the landscape. The menu is a nice size and balanced with items for those on the go or for those who just want to sit (yes, sitting will return) and chill for a bit. They make some of the best coffee in town. You have much to choose from at El Sitio; Burgers, Pepitos, Arepas, Ensaladas, Empanada and Cachapas among other delicious offerings. The Empanadas are great although they can be a little bit oily at times. You may choose from cheese, beef (shredded/ground) cheese/gauva, chicken, cheese/plantano, ham/cheese, fish and a few more I can't remember. My favorites are fish, chicken and ham/cheese. They also have some of the best Cachapas I've ever had. If you've had one before you understand the deliciousness of the Cachapa. I remember the first time I had one, it reminded me of something my grandmother used to make in Alabama. In hindsight, grandma had more of a storied life than any of us knew. El Sitio has a wonderful staff who are efficient courteous. Stop by grab a cup of coffee and a little something else for yourself. You deserve it! read more

It was a good place until they became the ONLY restaurant in south florida who wants to charge you when you ask for a bit of lemon for the water or food.? Really Pathetic! I am so sorry but I have to complain before other places normalize such discourtesy. They eventually will charge for salt and pepper? Lemon is the start....
