My daughter's best friend invited us for a small birthday celebration at Nando Grill located in the farm land off Krome. Here you find the typical farm setting with petting zoo and a little playground for the kids. So we decided to order some fried cheese with guava sauce and a meat platter. The fried cheese was good but let me honest how hard is it to mess up fried cheese? The meat platter included slice steak, ribs, French fries, and Cole slaw. The meat was too chewy and more on the bland side while the ribs were too dry. The fries needed some salt it was flavorless. Nando Grill is a very large outside restaurant under a gigantic Tiki Hut. They have live music and entertainment on the weekends and have HUGE party plates of various meets and sides for families and parties that arrive. The food is freaking fantastic! The meat is always juice and tender never chewy. The server does get wide tracked sometimes but still manages to get to our table when needed. So if you have anything you want to order, make sure to order it while you have then at your table. The environment is family friendly and they sometimes have a mini fair for kids in the back part of the venue. Its not your usually sit down restaurant as it's always in the open but their meats, sausages, and sides are all very good! Love this place. We have been coming here for quite some time, and overall our experiences have consistently been positive. The service is attentive, and the food is excellent -- both in flavor and presentation. It's a place we have genuinely enjoyed visiting. However, during our most recent visit, there were a few concerns that stood out. First, we noticed that the prices listed on the menu did not match the prices on the receipt. While the differences were only a few dollars, it's important for pricing to be transparent and consistent to avoid confusion. We also really enjoyed the live music -- it created a wonderful atmosphere. However, once the band went on break, videos from the same artist played for over an hour. In our opinion, the content seemed directed toward one specific culture. I chose congri, yuca frita, and tostones for the three sides you can have. The meat was cooked perfectly to my liking. I also had their passion fruit juice. My friends chose the same main with different sides and liked their food. They have a fun and lively ambiance, with live music and space to dance. It's great for a family outing. We went for lunch and we were seated promptly. It was kind of empty, but the ambiance was nice. Our server Sebastian, brought us some water and our maracuya margaritas- they were really good. It has the feel of a Llanero restaurant, and the Venezuelan flavor on point. As with every single thing my countrypeeps do, the prices go above what would be justifiable... Their cachapas and their hervidos are so good that you can almost do; and if you add to it that you get a show if you go on weekends, and you really get close to see where your money is going... But if you order the carne en vara, which, yes, is delicious, you'll realize it is so little you either spend a fortune or leave hungry. They have Polar Beer, so that is a plus, and the open space outside seating feels charming (well, depending on Miami weather... this town can get HOT!). And the service is (again, as any Venezuelan Restaurant) a roulette: you can get the loveliest servers, or you can get the one who talks to you as if they were doing you a favor by acknowledging you are there... HOWEVER, so far, the hosts (or supervisors, or managers, or servers-that-check-on-you-after-the-other-servers-serve-you) ALWAYS come around on regular rounds, and ask who everything's been during your visit, food-wise and service-wise (maybe we should have used one o these host check-ins to rat on the not-so-good-servers when we get one, but they kind of add some of the "being back home" charm), and they are always nice and helpful. I really wanted to like this place, but overall it was a disappointing experience. The seating alone made it uncomfortable. Hard wooden benches with no cushioning, and the entire setup is outdoors. Normally that wouldn't be a dealbreaker, but for the prices they're charging, you would expect a much better level of comfort. Speaking of prices, they are honestly excessive for what you get. A basic bottle of water, not even a recognizable brand, was over $4, which already sets the tone. Then the food comes out and the portions do not match the price at all. I ordered chicken tenders and fries for my daughter, and the fries had no flavor whatsoever. I had to season them myself just to make them edible. If you like the loud Latin music vibe, with live music and lots of space with outdoor straw roof then this is a good place for you. I will say, the server will make you feel rushed to order, to the point where you were simply discussing with your table what to eat or drink and she would put it down as the order. The aesthetic of the food presentation was very cute. They do have you use plastic plates and silver wear which is very casual grill matching the place, and makes it hard to cut the meat. Was disappointed with the plantains with cheese since it was literally just regular plantain slices with cheese sprinkled on top. I didn't like the natural juice. It tasted almost syrup like. Like it kinda has that natural taste but not really. Like watered down and yet still that syrup texture not sure. The actual flavor of the meat was definitely authentic . The pork belly had that perfect crunch, very meaty. I wish they gave more sauces. It only came with one of two kinds of sauces. We shared the combo among 6 of us, where we destroyed the sides but there was still plenty meat left over. Sides should be bigger for a sharing plate considering that people only got to essentially get a taste of each side. The piña colada is an entire pineapple but they leave the center which obviously means less of the actual drink and the serve it with a shot of rum on the side making it hard to put it in the drink and distribute it. Definitely on then expensive side, but I think it's with good portions of thick meat. The drinks are pretty small, especially the mojito. For the loud music vibe tho, I wish they had a dance floor, especially with all the space they have. I would probably give it more of a 3.5 if I could. read more

So be sure to bring your ear plugs, or sit outside as far from the stage as possible Regarding the parking, they're definitely not ADA compliant, for such a large location, only 2 handicap parking spots and $8.00 for valet parking or self parking in a fruit tree nursery and and hefty walk to the main entrance. The service was good, my wife and I were attended fairly quickly and efficiently, the food was a little pricey but had good taste and sufficient for two to eat from one serving. Did I mention pricey, the plate was $49.00 and with one appetizer and two small water bottles came out to over $80.00 without tip. So nice place, but not a place we want to return. read more

Sunday funday came around. Being surrounded by friend's with kiddos, we we made it a kid friendly day. And why not spend it outdoors with great food, friend's, and music. We winded up here and found a picnic table to fit our party of 8. Place is huge and has a very organized parking lot. Cool bounce house are next to the seating area to keep an easy eye on the little ones. Place is popping with a live band that had people dancing and enjoying themselves. Take a look at the menu by scanning the QR code and order away. I must say the menu is mainly beef and pork with a fried whole fish option (what we shared) and an appetizer that had chicken empanadas (this is just a heads up for my non meat eaters). All dishes come plated delectable. We shared a fried snapper it was delish! Around the table was everything from empanadas to steak, to fried cheese, to areas, and much more. Thus is a great place to hang out on the weekends. Let the kids run around, eat, drink, listen to the band and dance away. The outdoor open air ambiance was nice. The live music was also entertaining but very loud which made it hard to talk. The service was fine, but we felt a bit rushed to order and had several questions of the waitress which were hard to address due to the music. The pork belly cachapa was very good. Afterwards we ordered the steak with three sides. The steak was delicious and well flavored. For sides we got fried cheese (good), plantains with cheese (so-so) because they were small and sprinkled with a little cheese, and the hallaquita de chicharron which was nothing like what we expected. When we notified the waitress she dismissed us rather than asking if we'd like something else. The real problem occurred when it was time to pay. I was putting it on my credit card and my friend gave me some cash. I decided to ask for change so I could leave a cash tip. Being that the waitress spoke no English, I asked my friend to ask her in Spanish to break the $20 for two $10s. Somehow she pocketed the 20 and charged my card and when we asked her for the two $10 bills she said she couldn't give us any cash because she had already noted a $20 tip on the receipt and she would get fired if she gave us any change back. At no point did either of us indicate that the $20 was a tip. I clarified with my friend that she had asked for change and my friend said that what the waitress was explaining did not make any sense at all. This was no longer a language barrier. Now I would've been OK with a $20 tip had the ambience matched the prices. But eating on a cardboard tray with plasticware does not equate to an over 20% tip. read more

I wanna start off by saying that the food really is as good as it's marketed to be. The fact that it's an outside type restaurant also makes it very different depending on the weather obviously, you may enjoy it and you may not. There's also live music, which, I can honestly say I really enjoyed. Those are definitely the pros of this place but unfortunately there is cons. The service left a lot to be desired, having had read reviews in other forums that hype up the service. It seems that it's only maybe one or two servers that are really great. That was not the case for me, the most I'll say is that they were not attentive, a little standoffish and it felt like they did not want to be there. The second thing I will say is that when you look at the social media postings of this place, you see these huge platters that honestly are phenomenal but the price you do have to look it up before you go because they are a little bit expensive if you're only going with 2 to 3 people. The portion sizes for those larger plates are great considering their price. You can self Park you do not have to use the valet, even though they make you feel that you do. Personally, if it was a party to celebrate somebody it's for sure worth it. I can't speak for an individual date or a group less than four. I do think it's worth going to, if you want to go just make sure that you look up the prices and look up what servers they say are amazing . read more

3rd time is a charm they say... well yes, because it's been 3 times coming to Nando Grill and it will be the last one. Service: nor impressed, nor welcomed, and felt being rushed the whole time. Food and Drinks: Drinks = Sangria, Mojito they were just terrible, they must buy pre-made drinks. Food: ribs were good, everything else it was average and for the price you can go somewhere else and have real good high quality meal. We ordered a plate to share for 6 people with 4 sides, but if you want cachapa to be as the 2nd side you can't get it, you need to pay extra. Oh! And wait for this, we get there and the waiter says we cannot have my baby's and niece's bottle water on the table, we must keep them on our purses, diaper bags, stroller, you call it, but NO on the table! Really?! Babies bottle water?! I bet there's people taking their own drinks on their Yetis, with those prices I don't blame them, but one thing is with adults and other is with kids/toddlers/babies. Ambiance: we were so rushed that we didn't even have the time to enjoy the music. Ah if you want your kids to play on the playground, inflatables you need to pay. What is sad about this type of places is that management really doesn't care about customer experience and delivering high quality services and food. What a disappointment! I had been wanting to eat here for so long and finally made it. We took my father-in-law as he never gets to go out. Firstly, ambience is great. Open concept with a great breeze going through. We ordered piña coladas ($20 each!) presentation was awesome they freeze the pineapple and pour piña colada into it. Although it tasted good there was no alcohol so $20 seems pretty steep especially that it's not a fancy place and we're in homestead after all. We ordered individual platters and although it was early (around 5:30) and there were only like 5 other tables the food took an extremely long time to come out. I ordered the pescado frito with arepa frita, ensalada (Cole slaw) and queso frito. Fish was terribly dry way overcooked, Cole slaw had zero flavor and the arepa were greasy and undercooked. My wife ordered the combo of ribs and meat along with Cole slaw fries and arepas. Her ribs under seasoned and seemed like boiled ribs. Dad had the meat (carne vara) with congri, tostones and Cole slaw. We all tried the meat and it was so salty it burned our mouth and throat. Disgusting!!! I would never recommend or bring anyone to this place. For a place whose thing is "grill" the food wasn't great. And for the three of us the bill was $211 including tip. If you are in the area and like genuine Venezuelan food this place is a good spot to stop in. We ordered appetizers which were pretty good. Ordered the Nando Grill starters, which gives sample 2 cheese sticks, two corn cheese sticks, 4 mandocas & 2 fried cheese arepa. 8/10 also ordered fried pork which comes with fried cachapa, sausage and plain tamale. 10/10. Loved the tamale. It was excellent definitely a very unique flavor. Also ordered the manchego cheese croquettes with guava sauce. 10/10. I am a manchego cheese fan and will absolutely tell you this was delicious. Service was a little slow but I will give her grace because the place was hopping for a Sunday afternoon. We were only a party of 3 but this place was hosting my size party up to 10 people per tables. Since we didn't order the main meal I would have to say we will be back to try the meat which looked juicy and flavorful. I'm a pretty tough critic and this place passed my expectations with flying colors. The service was excellent and they did everything they could to accommodate us because we don't know Spanish. They were so kind and helped us decide what to order. They are well versed on the menu. The food was excellent, we had the pork belly with green plantain appetizer and the steak and ribs with corn pancake for our lunch. It was plenty of food to share between my daughter and I. Never again. As a business owner you should have a manager on site at all times to make sure your employees do a good job attending customers. I usually go to restaurants to check them out before I bring my business partners and or employees as I like to do on a monthly basis.I am 26 years old entrepreneur, I took several colleagues and some of my employees to eat in this restaurant. it was 20 of us. We didn't know you have to wait for somebody to sit you down, as nobody was greeting at the entrance. We waited for more than half an hour seating and throughout this time, waiters were actually doing several eye contact with us, in fact talking between them while looking at us, like debating who was going to serve this table. They never came to serve us. after half an hour, I decided to go and call their attention, and their response was, we didn't see you,!, we insisted that they were steering at us, and one of the waitresses response was, oooh because we you are supposed to be waiting for us to assign your seats, but you didn't ... WHAT!!!!!! After complaining , our food arrived more than an hour later. Not only cold but the ribs and meat was harden, as well as the yuca and rice. it was a disaster,. Mindful, this restaurant was half way empty, and no manager around. I wonder if they were doing that because of our age, or for laziness, or racism, but one thing I can assure you , our building is near by, I will make sure no one goes to that restaurant on my tap and i will not, take my employees here again for monthly meeting. The bill was huge and and food hard and cold, I'm sure they did that on purpose because we complained been ignored.. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.
