Very clean. Serviced by the owner herself. Good portions and presentation. Everything you order is freshly made. The place is well located and it looks brand new.

Today I had the pumpkin soup (OMG SO GOOD!) and the cachapa. Huge portions, excellent service. Keep it up!

This is like El Palacio de Jugós, but better because you can eat with AC. There are also some outdoor tables, if you prefer. I have visited twice this week. On my first visit, I ate the small completa with pork, white rice, red beans and yucca. Everything was packaged well and there was a bigger completa if you are more hungry. My friend had the pizza, but there was a 30 minute wait and well worth it. There is nothing like a Cuban pizza. On my second visit, I tried the frita which comes with lettuce, tomato and ketchup. What?! I changed that to just cheese and onions with papita Julianna. Well, they come with potato sticks, but it worked. The frita was very flavorful. Not the kind I'm used to, but I didn't find anything wrong with it. It was great! I had to get a guarapo (sugar cane drink) and that was delicious! The place has a special for the day and lots of sandwiches, shakes and foods to try. I asked if they have a cantina option and was told to look for it in their website. Overall, this place is a gem. I loved everything about it including the music in the parking lot. I plan to return as much as I can.

FUFU is caca Don't try it ! They charge $27 for a nasty pork chop dish no thx . 1st you can tell the cheap cut of meat is from a nearby slaughterhouse/ vivero the cook soaked the cheap meat in vinegar to attempt to rid it of the gamey odor but did a piss poor job then didnt use sason or adobo big mistake especially when youre grilling pork bro ! 2nd the chicken cutlet was generic again soaked in vinegar pathetic attempt @ seasoning the chicken ... how do you mess up chicken ? havana spice did , the easiest meat to cook but havana spice managed to f it up w burned maduros !! not worth the price or time believe me i do not take any satisfaction in writing this review but damn !! *UPDATE : since I originally wrote my initial review I had to go to urgent care due to food poisoning No wonder the cook put a pound of onions on top of Pork-chops to mask the condition / taste ! STAY AWAY FROM THIS JOKE OF A HOLE IN THE WALL DUMP THEU OVER CHARGE FOR BASUA/GARBAGE CHEAP QUALITY FOOD I should know I was raised in Caribbean. *only good thing in the whole order was the toasted bread - The restaurants decor was unique to say the least As if a 5 yr old went to town w a can of paint & a made it into toy store junk yard . The best thing i had was a butter pecan shake next door at havana sugar selena was a sweet host & server .

We were happily greeted when we arrived and told we could sit wherever we liked. There are plenty of tables outside and inside, and I hear it gets busy. Thank goodness it was a Monday early afternoon. We grabbed a nice table outside among a bunch of Cuban neon signs and pictures. At the time we came, we could choose between breakfast and lunch. I decided to get the Cuban breakfast with a guava smoothie. The platter was a 5 out of 5 for me. I loved the pork belly, the eggs, the potatoes, and the salad! And the smoothie was refreshing, though I wish there was an option to mix the flavors. Do you know how good a mango guava smoothie would have been?! My girlfriend got the same thing that I did, but they completely forgot it. She didn't receive hers until 15 minutes later... And though it seems like a simple request, they would not honor her request to swap out the potatoes for toast. They offered a free dessert which was nice due to the error, but we agreed we've had way better tres leches cake, haha. That incident aside, the restaurant was very nice. I hear they have live salsa on some nights and I know It gets busy. I would love to check that out sometime!

Such was the other day when dropping & picking up my car from the auto shop a short walk over from Rinconcito. It's located in a strip mall - along with a few other restaurants - on NW 36th Street next to Palmetto Ford. Needless to say, after starving all day at work and rushing to pick it up before closing time, I was famished and stopped here in my repaired car. The dining room space inside is pretty large, plus they have a few outside tables. My waitress was casually pleasant: not the same level of attention you'd expect at a white glove spot but I wasn't ignored either. I ordered the somewhat healthyish Pollo a la Plancha. Served with cut up onions, a dash of sazon completa and two lemon wedges, this was huge! It took up the entire real estate of a plate, such that the sides were on a separate one. The chicken had good taste & texture, and again, the plate was large and filling. The moros (cuban rice) was with red beans, instead of the black beans I prefer & of course I loved my platanitos (fried plantains). Oh, and cafecito was had. I definitely needed the energy!
