    Dominican breakfast. Portion is small.

I saw someone else that I follow on IG and Yelp visit this place, and because the food looks so good, I decided to check it out. Advertising Dominican cuisine was a definite, must try for me. Dishes like Mofongo, picedera, empanadas, and much more. I ordered Quipes for my appetizer and Mofongo De Baby Back Ribs as my meal. Really Good. I also ordered the limonada de coco.....yum! Highly recommend. I loved the cute, soft and cozy ambience. They have screens showing scenes from the Dominican Republic as well. Nice touch. The service was just okay. Nothing to write home about but nothing negative either. I'd like to go back to see what their brunch is like on the weekends.

I recently went to Mi Tierra with some friends and everything was delicious! The cocktails were all incredible, I loved the tamarind one I tried, and we split a picadera platter and mofongo de chicharrón and a short rib mofongo and everything was absolutely delicious. The vibes and atmosphere were really nice, everything was tastefully decorated and relaxing. And the service was top notch! Our server was so kind and attentive. I can't speak highly enough about our experience, it is rare to eat at a place in Miami that has such good service, delicious food and nice ambiance all at the same time.

Amazing experience. Very enjoyable with my wife. She is pregnant and she had the opportunity to get a virgin piña colada. We got a couple appetizers. Fried cheese and th smoked burrata that the Chef personally brought to the table. It was a really tasteful and great combination of flavors. Good service from Carla and very attentive. Our main dishes were outstanding as well. I highly recommend it.

I was excited to try this Dominican restaurant, as they are relatively rare to find in Miami. When we arrived, we were seated at one of the high-top tables by the bar, which was perfectly fine since I mainly came to enjoy a bowl of sancocho. A server came to take our order. Communication was a bit challenging, but I was able to ask for sancocho to start with avocado, and for my main dish I requested two chicken breasts with vegetables and beans, without rice. I was informed that substitutions were not available and that the dishes are served as listed on the menu with rice and beans as the standard sides. I said that was fine and asked for the dish as it comes. After placing the order, however, we did not receive any further service for about 15 minutes -- no drinks, water, or follow-up. Unsure if the order had gone through, we eventually decided to cancel and leave. We let the hostess know before departing. I was looking forward to the experience, so it was disappointing that things didn't work out this time. I hope the restaurant is able to improve the service experience, as Dominican cuisine deserves great representation in Miami

Mi Tierra offers a warm, welcoming Dominican dining experience. On my first visit, the duo quipes stood out as my favorite--crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. I also tried the chicken breast with white rice and beans, which felt a bit plain and needed extra salt, though I usually don't prefer salty food. My friend had the churrasco with rice and beans was much more flavorful. The passion fruits cheesecake was a delicacy. The Dominican sushi roll quisquidella and natural juices, especially passionfruit and morir soñando, were enjoyable. Service was amazing! Be aware the menu changes frequently, with some dishes only available on certain days.

The restaurant decor is clean esthetics, simple but good. Layout is tables on the right when you walk in and high tops to the left. Plenty of seating. We were seated right away and there were a good amount of people in there for a 3p on a Saturday. The food- we opted out of appetizers as nothing really stood out and I really wanted to try Dominican mofongo. We had the fried pork chicarron and shrimp. The mofongo itself is really good, not dry nor clumpy and it sits on a garlic butter sauce which was delicious. Shrimp was better than pork IMO. Portion size is good. Dessert was a maracuya cheesecake which was also good. Service was attentive and polite. I did feel a little rushed to leave as soon as we got the dessert we were given the bill. I am guessing they were making space for the dinner crowd. Most of the diners were having the mofongo, although I did see a full fish deep fried which lookd good. None the less, the restaurant is worth a try.

Came for a quick bite! We were seated quickly and the servers provide great service. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and well taken care of. We ordered from the happy hour menu which was super worth it. The lemonade is delicious as always. Also ordered empandas, quipes, picadera pa mi, and the sushi roll. All very good! Love coming here.

10/10 - excellent! The food here is authentic Dominican food, and everything is delicious and made with love! My favorites are the sancocho, daño encendido, the empanada trio, tostones, and the chinook drink (passion fruit). Great ambiance and great service! It does get busy on Sunday's for brunch, keep that in mind. This is definitely my repeat Dominican food go - to!

Come with me to Mi Tierra, located in Kendall, for brunch. I was there on Friday for dinner and returned that Sunday for brunch with my friend Nat. They offer a prefixed menu for $45. You can pick one appetizer, one entree, and unlimited mimosas. Their menu has Dominican classics like Mangu con Tres Golpes and Sancocho, brunch classics like French Toast and Avocado Toast, and fun, innovative dishes like the Quisquella Roll. We each ordered one of the appetizers available: the Empanadas de pollo and the ensalada caprese. The empanadas were excellent--a classic Dominican empanada de pollo. I had the Mangu con Tres Golpes, and Nat had the Quisquella Roll for our entrees. The Mangu was excellent, and each Golpes was a perfect hit. The Quisquella roll was interesting--it is filled with Salami, queso frito, Maduros, and Aguacate. The roll's taste is not what you expect initially, but it's interesting. If you like sushi, you'll enjoy it. The mimosas were good, and the chinola one was our favorite. We also tried their Chinola Cheesecake, a dreamy and fresh delish to end your meal. The cream cheese is whipped, light, and creamy. The gram cracker crust is light and fresh. The Chinola layer on top is gelatinous. Overall, the brunch was excellent. Mi Tierra consistently serves delicious dishes with fresh quality and flavor. I will definitely visit again; I am happy to have another option close by with flavors from home.

Love this new addition to good food and drinks to Kendall! Made a reservation for a Wednesday night and would highly recommend one as this place gets packed. During the dinner service I only saw one lady who was the hostess/bartender/waitress and she was awesome! Definitely lots of options for sharing plates. To start we ordered sangria and passion fruit tequila very good flavors for both. For appetizers we got the fried queso, tacos and fried plantains which were all delicious. For the main entrées shrimp Mofongo and a chicken option. I preferred the flavor and sauce on the shrimp. The overall ambience was great. You can easily have a conversation and enjoy your meal.

Excellent service. Luna was very attentive with us and explained some of the items on the menu. She came by numerous times to check on us and was constantly refilling our waters. The appetizers that we had were on point! Delicious!! The drinks were just right! The food was also very tasty. I can't wait to visit again.

The food and drinks are consistently amazing. I've been coming here since they first opened (I believe back in 2014), and I'll keep coming back. Their menu is packed with bold, flavorful dishes, an impressive cocktail selection, and honestly, they were one of the places that got me through COVID! From the pizzas to the entrées, everything is outstanding. I celebrated my birthday here just last week, and as always, it was excellent. The churrasco is consistently tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The mushroom risotto is rich, creamy, and bursting with earthy mushroom goodness. For dessert, we shared the warm banana bread with salted caramel ice cream, and wow... I still can't stop thinking about it. Whether it's happy hour, lunch, dinner, or a special occasion, Finka never ever ever disappoints. After all these years, it's still one of my favorite spots in Miami, and I recommend it to everyone looking for a memorable lunch, dinner or happy hour, do it right and come to Finka.

Unfortunately, today was a very different experience. It took about five minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, even though the bar wasn't busy. I ordered an Old Cuban Old Fashioned, one of my favorites, and was surprised to see the bartender use his hands instead of tongs to put the ice into the glass. I ended up sending the drink back because the glass was dirty. The second drink was made by another bartender, and again, I noticed him using his hands instead of tongs to handle the ice. The food was still great, but after today's experience, I'll definitely be paying much closer attention to how my drinks are prepared. I've always had a great experience at Finka, which is why today was especially disappointing. I hope this was just an off day and not a change in their usual standards.

Eddie's, established in the early 70s, feels more like a career criminal who found religion, just got out, and now swears he's trying to get his life together. Would a true dive keep a decades-old black-and-white tube TV around so you can watch your car? Additional amenities include an ATM, a combination photo booth/jukebox, and even a cell phone charging station, which means Eddie somehow supports bad decisions and the evidence they leave behind. This isn't Eddie's Bistro or Eddie's Café, it's just his Place, so don't show up expecting anyone to cook for you. Aside from chips, the bar skips food altogether. Still, Eddie's plays to its strengths: it encourages you to bring your own food or order in, as long as you keep the bartenders busy. "Cocktails" arrive in ribbed plastic cups, but shots and beer arrive in proper glassware, which is this bar's version of caviar service. A free pool table anchors the room, while one corner hosts beer pong and another area for old-timers to throw darts. Drinks run from $6 to $12, and Happy Hour sweetens the deal with 2-for-1 wells until 8 p.m. That special feels a little sad Monday through Wednesday, when the bar opens at 7 PM. However, it absolutely slaps Thursday through Sunday, when doors open at 2 PM. I rolled in after The Mandalorian & Grogu, which is exactly the kind of demoralizing movie that demands a drink. It was Goth Night, although the DJ seemed to be the only person who got the memo. She kept the room moving with dark house and classic goth tracks, giving the Place the energy of a house party with a fog machine and a hit-heavy playlist. Eventually, she veered from Bauhaus and Combichrist into Bruno Mars and Calvin Harris, which felt less like genre betrayal and more like a Wedding DJ loosening their tie. Eddie's Place delivers the holy trinity of a proper neighborhood bar: cheap booze, zero pretension, and just enough chaos to make you stay for one last round over and over again.

It took about a minute for the hostess to walk in and greet us (the lady in the red dress) and take us to the table. As we perused the menu, I got excited by the selections. The server Ashley (I think that was her name) was great. Extremely personable and loved her candor about our selections and making sure we ordered enough food. However she informed us that a few of the plates we were most excited for, were no longer available and they were redoing the menu. At the end of the night the food was mediocre for the price. I'm giving it 3 stars because I might consider having drinks there but may never go back for dinner. The music started changing slightly as we were paying our bill. could have been the night? Don't know but that doesn't excuse the food not being worth the price.

While the decor was nice, the lights were flickering on and off the whole time we were there. It had to be a wiring issue but it was definitely obnoxious. The staff was very nice, but SLOW! We got to the nearly empty restaurant and were sat quickly, however, with informing that we were still expecting two more were left completely unattended. Instead of placing drink and appetizer orders, we had to wait until the other two arrived which ended up being over half an hour. I could've used a drink or two or three. Once everyone was there, we had to flag down servers just to get a little attention. The drinks took a bit to come out and the appetizers took so long we scrambled to put food orders in the second we got the apps. The food itself was great. I have no complaints on the food as it tasted good. I'm not usually a chimichurri eater but I LOVED this one. Portions were good and the pricing wasn't bad. I just feel like with so much competition for restaurants in Miami, they need to step up their game. With the amount of Nicaraguan restaurants in the area, I found the portion of the sides to be very lean. Well, the steak was generous in size, I had ordered Maduros and Repollo, which were both small. I received maybe three or four Maduros's, which probably amounted to half a plantain, and small 1/2 cup size of repollo. 2. Where is the spice?!? And the flavor?? Specifically with the sauces, and the oil, I wanted more picante and vinegar-flavor. Also, the "chimichurri" consisted mainly of oil! Aside from those two complaints, the quality of ingredients were great. The steak was absolutely divine and delicious. It had been marinated in a citrus and soy sauce from the flavor of it, and grilled to perfection with the perfect amount of doneness that I had requested. It was juicy, seasoned well, and what gives this review four stars instead of three. Honestly, I will go back just for the churrasco steak alone! Service is good, attentive, I'm very friendly. The space is in a strip mall. Restaurant is clean, with a good ambience and had a variety of daily specials for both lunch and dinner. I'm still dreaming about that steak! If only the chimichurri and toppings had more kick to it!
