I ordered the palomilla steak with rice and beans and it came with two maduros which I loved. The steak was super flavorful and tender. We also got the pollo guisado and it was just as delicious, very classic and comforting. Service was really good and the food came out so fast. Everything felt easy and smooth. I'd describe it as flavorful, slow stewed beef topped with a moist, slightly sweet cornbread. It was hearty, comforting, and surprisingly delicious. I ended up finishing the entire dish since I wasn't sharing the other plates with the group. About halfway through, I felt like it needed a little something extra, and our server suggested trying their mashed limo pepper. Fair warning, it's spicy! It added the perfect kick and really elevated the flavors of the dish. Our server was incredibly attentive throughout the meal and made the experience even better. I'd definitely recommend CVI.CHE 105 for an elevated dinner, date night, or special occasion.

The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service was quite delayed. I completely understand restaurants can get busy, but a little more attentiveness would have made the experience much better. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, the flavor was impeccable, and the dessert was the perfect!

I've never had anything quite like it, except maybe in Caribbean Costa Rica, and there is something so special about the way they make it here. It is literally my first stop every time I visit Miami Beach. I genuinely crave it! And then there's the quatro leches cake. INSANELY good. You will absolutely finish it. I recently tried their iced Cuban coffee with sugar and milk, and it was such a delicious addition. The passion fruit juice is also fantastic. I finally tried the grilled lobster plate, and WOW, it did not disappoint. Honestly, you might need to walk around the block a few times afterward because everything is just THAT good, and you're going to finish every last bite. Puerto Sagua has been serving Miami Beach since 1968, and it is still standing strong, serving incredible Cuban food with so much character and history. The guarapo (fresh sugarcane juice) is refreshing and authentic, which is rare to find done this well. This place has the food down right. Unfortunately, the customer service ruins the experience. I asked for a pan con lechón and a pan con bistec, and the woman at the counter flat out said, "I'm not cooking." Barely toasted bread. But, good fresh bread. Not only was it dismissive, but it was also said directly to a local executive chef -- someone who knows and respects good food service. It's a real shame because the kitchen puts out quality food, but the lack of basic courtesy makes it hard to enjoy. My advice? Go for the food, but don't expect service. Order, take it to go, and skip the tip since service is non-existent. If they ever fixed their customer service, this spot would be five stars all the way. Ambiance ruined by customer service.
