The food is good. I ask for the regular water. It served " Purified. Water ". At least is you charge me 3.89 for the purified water, invert a little more and buy " Spring water". Another thing, I asked for a Spanish dessert called " Tarta De Santiago" ( picture above). Was old, and is neither similar to the original. I went recently for a comedy show. The show was amazing. However, the service was not. I had purchased the tickets on an app but the tickets didn't state that there was a minimum to purchase while at the show. I was informed by the waitress when she say that we only ordered drinks & appetizers, as she waited for us to add more orders to the bill. I would have been fine with it but she told us with not such a happy disposition. The waitresses demeanor was as if it was a drag to assist us, even to get the bill paid took long, after I gave her my card, she just kept cleaning with my card with her while we sat & waited. Besides the food not being too great. There was no social distancing and employees were not properly using the mask. There were people inside the bar without a mask. It was a sunny Saturday and I waned to spend a splendid afternoon with my recently married wife. We came across this cozy place tucked away in a strip mall off 8th street. It was exactly what you expect from a strip mall joint. Food was sliced meat exactly like a prepackaged commercial grocery store. Sad Sausages were cold and undercooked and served with a side of ketchup and honey mustard. Ketchup doesn't exist in other parts of the world (it does but nobody uses it) and don't say it's to "Americanize" their menu. Good luck navigating their menu in extremely poor "Miami Spanglish". We ordered strictly from tapas menu. We had the octopus, potatas bravas, shrimp and a ham croquette. Portions were larger than expected, well priced and served hot. My favorite was the potatoes. Service was very good. I was worried when we walked in because there was a very large group and a 4 top seated at the same time - only two servers (appeared to be owner/manager). The service really was good - friendly. I would go back and try an entree. First of all Real Cafe has the best happy hour in town. A wide variety of tapas as long you are drinking. (Including Jamón Serrano, Paella). The service it's great and you won't be disappointed (rare thing to find in Miami). The food it's the main reason to go because of the prices and the excellent Flavors. Terrible service terrible food terrible place! We went last night for my mother's birthday. The waiter tells us there is no menu Because they got a new chef that same day. The music was so loud you couldn't hear the person sitting next to you. We order our food (it was a group of 8) and only two plates came out. The chicken was so salty we felt sick afterwards. As for the rest of the party they ended up canceling the food order BC we were waiting over an hour for our food. The place was not packed it was ridiculous. I was pleasantly surprised by this family owned restaurant tucked away in the corner of a strip mall on Eighth street. The service was very warm and friendly, and the food was very good! It is obvious that the pastas are home made and they are very fresh. We also had a Nutella cheesecake that was very good. Through talking to the staff we found out there is live music on the weekends as well. This place caught me off guard. The reviews on this place are very deceptive. I went here last night in hopes of having some good food but the appetizer was enough for us to ask for our check and leave. We ordered two glasses of red wine along with a tabla mixta. The tabla was tiny, with one piece of iberico ham, 2 small slices of cheese, 3 slices of store bought salami and 3 slices of pepperoni drizzled with olive oil, which made the salami greasier. It did not taste good and it made me very glad we decided to order dish by dish since the ambience felt a little off. The service was bad simply because we had to ask for bread for our tabla and had to pour our own water. I guess I'm just use to the service I've had in other establishments. The little things do count. We did try a few croquetas and those were actually good but not great. Our waitress was also M.I.A for a lot of the time and the place was pretty empty. Great ambiente! Excelente Service, quality and presentation. I'm from Spain, and this is one of the few places where first of all they call things by their name. Coming from Valencia I know that traditional paella is made with chicken and rabbit and in other "spanish" restaurants I have even been argue that "that" is not paella but "arroz con pollo". So I'm extremely impress by that at Real Cafe. Products are actually brought from Spain, and I know this because the owner of the restaurant personally came to our table to ask us about our food and experience.
