Pretty disappointing experience and should have done my homework instead of assuming I could get a bakery item by walking in. If you order at their counter, it's only for bakery items and drinks. A bagel with cream cheese is considered a kitchen item, so you wouldn't be able to order this (we waited in a 30 min line and only until we got to the counter they said that). 9:00 on a Sunday and there was already a 50 minute wait time even though there were open tables around. The line to order at the counter was all over the place. Would order ahead online and just do pickup. The cinnamon roll was tasty though, but waiting in that long of a queue was really not worth it.

I've loved this bakery since it first started. The food is always delicious and fresh. The service is excellent One thing that can be improved on is the wait time for to go beverages, you have to wait while in house orders are filled, we waited about 20 minutes for a matcha latte; a take out only beverage station would be nice. But the bread and pastries we picked up were so good! The restaurant is always busy and loud, I love it!!

I really lucked out and got there after the mad lunch rush ... it was around 330pm, lucky me! I have been here before, but never left a review... today's the day! Brian was my server and he was very friendly and professional and made me feel comfortable while dining alone in a VERY crowded restaurant. Typically lines are out the door here. I ordered the "unassuming" tuna melt sandwich which features tuna salad with tarragon and cranberries, sharp cheddar cheese, heirloom tomatoes, pressed on their signature country sourdough bread. OMG.... It was so warm & crispy, and OK, I'll say it, best tuna melt I have ever had. I paired it with their amazing lemonade and I just enjoyed my solo lunch. I ate inside this time. Typically there's a line out the door. There's also some seating outside, but this day it was raining. Since this is a bakery, how could I not try the rugelach? I haven't had rugelach this good since I made it from a recipe from Hebrew School decades ago. They're super authentic and 10/10. I also bought an almond croissant for tomorrow .... I had reached capacity ! And Brian, thank you again for the great service. Don't sleep on this Miami staple. The food is heavenly good and I wish I lived closer. Zak, if you're reading this review, please open up a NYC or NJ location!

I had heard that this bakery makes its bread fresh every day, so I was excited to try it. I ordered a latte and a chocolate croissant. The latte was good, but the croissant was just okay neither great nor bad. I did appreciate that it had a generous amount of chocolate, though. Overall, the experience was average.

I have heard so many good things about Zak The Baker over the years but after trying Zak The Baker for the first time, I honestly don't see what the hype was about. I'll go into more details below: I went to Zak The Baker for a weekday lunch and was seated with minimal wait. It took a few minutes for a server to greet me and the service was overall pretty cold. The restaurant has a mandatory 18% service charge and the staff didn't seem to care about providing good service because the gratuity was already tacked on to the bill. I ordered a Cold Brew Coffee ($5.50) to start. The coffee was good and locally brewed in Miami. The server advised they only have Whole, Almond, and Oat milk for creamer, pretty limited in my opinion for the cost of the coffee. For food, I loved the variety of fresh and locally grown items. I wanted to get the Caesar Salad but add a protein, and the server advised they can't add proteins to the salad because "they are a fully Kosher kitchen and restaurant" and he seemed to get an attitude about it. The restaurant doesn't advertise themselves as being a fully Kosher restaurant or I would have never come here as I don't have a need to pay a premium to dine at a fully Kosher restaurant. The server advised the only protein they could provide was Salmon and it would be prepared on a separate plate. So I opted on spending less and getting the Tomato Bisque and Grilled Cheese ($15). The tomato bisque was really good, the sandwich was average and the servers completely disappeared after my food arrived and I left as soon as I flagged someone down for my check. My stomach was messed up later in the day after my meal so I'm not really sure about their food preparation at the restaurant and won't go back.

Such a delicious breakfast/brunch spot with the kindest waitstaff. We had the egg platter, bagel and lox, hazelnut croissant, cheese danish and iced mocha. I also got a matcha to go. Everything was DELISH. I highly recommend getting a reservation on busy days (we went on a Sunday morning) as when we got there, it was over an hour wait. With a reservation, we were seated right away.

Every time I am in south Florida this is a must-hit spot! My boyfriend brought me here for the second time the other week for breakfast and it was incredible. My first time here we just got some pastries to go and after eating those I knew I had to come back. We got the egg platter & the eggs Benedict and both were perfect. Our waitress was super kind and gave fantastic recommendations. This place is ALWAYS packed but doesn't feel too overwhelming when you are seated. Overall great vibes and definitely will be coming here every time I take a trip down!

Every Miami local knows Zak the Baker bread and pastries are incredible. This place has been around from the beginning - way before Wynwood became huge and commercialized. I hadn't been here in years, but this place is still booming. We were told the wait would be 35-45 minutes but ended up waiting an hour. Nonetheless, the owner has set up a "park concept" on Sundays, whereby the street behind the restaurant is closed off to cars and pedestrians can play games like cornhole and listen to live music, which helped to distract from the wait time. We also know the food is worth the wait. This French toast was to die for - perfect bread crisp and not overly sweet. Even a basic thing like scrambled eggs are done exceptionally well here. It's nice to still see Zak the Baker as a wynwood staple, for the locals and tourists alike. Also, my brother purchases their apple pie around the holidays each year and while it is very pricey for pie, it is THE BEST!

Second time here for breakfast and left full and happy again. It seems to be less busy earlier in the morning (visited on Sunday) and we didn't wait at all for a table and the food came fairly quickly. I like their coffee - my latte was very solid, of course, the baked goods and bread are the reason to come here however. We had both a frittata sandwich and a tuna melt, along with an accompaniment of smashed potatoes. I'd never had the potatoes before and although it was a small portion IMO for $8, they were really good and I'd order them again. Both of the sandwiches were excellent and I didn't particularly notice the cranberries in the tuna salad for anyone who's not a fan of them. The servers are always friendly and seem to work more like a team. Our table was comfortable enough and I enjoy a view of the baking area and smell of fresh bread being made here.

In Miami we are spoiled with so much incredible Latin pastry. But when it comes to any other kind of quality baked good, is it me or are they hard to find? I long for more quality bakeries in my neighborhood but until then will happily trek to Wynwood for Zak the Baker. Their breads are my favorite things they offer. They have several different kinds and all are delicious and fresh. Of their many pastries, the banana bread is my favorite. It is always a delight with a perfect texture. Prices aren't cheap but also aren't terrible. I would say they are fair for what you get. It's usually busy but the people work hard and churn out orders pretty quick. As far as I've found, this is the best place for baked goods in town.

Lovely brunch with incredible quality! The place was packed, and while it took a bit to get our food, it became immediately clear why. Everything was incredibly fresh and there was not a single thing we got that wasn't a hit! Would return for brunch classics & another try at their seasonal pastries.

On street, metered parking BUT they will ticket within seconds so do pay! We saw the writing lots of tickets. On the sunny side - Absolutely loved our visit to Zack the Baker! The Nutella croissant was one of the most delicious I've ever had--perfectly flaky with just the right amount of sweetness. We also enjoyed their French toast on our second visit but it is meat for two or three people to share. The staff was friendly and helpful, even finding us a seat inside when it was busy. Coffee refills are available on request, which was a nice bonus. We also appreciated the clean bathroom and reasonable prices, especially for a spot in a larger city. Note: They're closed on Saturdays, so plan accordingly. If you stop by on a Friday, don't miss their freshly baked Challah loaves--they looked incredible! We purchased the cranberry country loaf but regret not buying the Challah. Will definitely buy it next time., Highly recommend for a warm, satisfying start to your day.

Anyone know if they stopped takeout? Last two sundays I've checked their ordering site and it has been closed. Is it temporary or the new rule?

6/27: Just ordered a large order from the website for pickup/takeout.. However, definitely recommend to double check your order before leaving so you don't end up having to come back like we did.

Will you be selling KFP desserts?

Are they dog friendly ? What about a emotional support dog?

I go to Zack often and have seen people with emotional support dogs on occasion. I guess they are allowed.

Are there two locations? Or is this the wrong address?

They moved to the corner on the same street one block over! You cannot miss it!

This time around, I had their cauliflower, zucchini latkes, Chicken Shawarma, and cabbage salad. The cauliflower dish comes with 3 florets that have been coated and fried in a semi sweet sauce. I liked the crunch and sauce pairing. The cabbage salad was something I had ordered before. The cabbage is cut so finely...I felt healthy and refreshed from this dish. Unfortunately, the zucchini latkes were a miss for me. The actual latkes were really hard. It was kind of like eating a pita chip, and I didn't get much flavor. I know the latkes are paired with applesauce to match with the traditional latkes, but I think having a Tzakiki sauce would have enhanced the taste. The other two were a hit, though. I loved the chicken shawarma and appreciated that it was served with a pita and small side of hummus. This dish was addicting. I was getting full at this point, but couldn't stop eating. The chicken was so flavorful and moist. You don't need the hummus because it's already so packed with flavor, but it was a nice addition. Overall, I appreciate Motek's take on classic Mediterranean dishes. They have a solid range of tapas and large plates, and the ambiance is always very peaceful and intimate.

We were sat inside near the bar/kitchen area. The restaurant overall had a very quaint vibe, close seating and bright vibrant decor. Yellow was a primary color through most of the decor. I wasn't able to catch our server's name however they were very well knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. We decided to do several apps versus getting individual meals as this restaurants theme is to have shareable plates. So many dishes, got the French and Turkish oven pita. Both were good and had different highlights. Loved the gold scissors provided to cut strips for sharing. Classic hummus which had to have been the smoothest hummus I've ever had. Zucchini Latkes were one of my favorite along with the Cauliflower. The seasoning on this was amazing, a bit sweet, and crispy outside. Crispy artichoke I could have done without. It was kinda like eating rice paper, odd texture. Had to try the baklava for dessert along with the pistachio cheesecake and the vanilla, mango and Nutella gelato. Nutella was my favorite. The mix of lemon tahini, mango aioli, a touch of spicy relish, caramelized plantains, and roasted red pepper sauce gives it a really layered flavor without feeling heavy. Everything works together, and nothing competes. We also had the Cilantro Falafel Bowl, which comes with a base of hummus and lemon cabbage salad. The falafel with lemon tahini is crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the bowl is packed with roasted cabbage, cherry tomatoes, English cucumbers, chickpeas, pickles, pickled red cabbage, and pita wedges.
