Jaguar is truly a Coconut Grove staple, with over 20 years in the neighborhood! I went for this year's Miami Spice lunch and really enjoyed it. The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance and a great vibe. The food was tasty, beautifully presented, and everything came out at the perfect temperature. Service was good as well. Their happy hour also looks like a great deal, so I'd definitely be interested in coming back to check that out. With so much of Coconut Grove and Miami having changed over the years, it genuinely makes me happy to see that some good things last.
Delicious food - guacamole appetizer and picanha adobe steak with yucan fries. The outdoor seating was enjoyable for sidewalk people watching though the indoors also appeared to be an elegant choice of atmosphere.
This restaurant is located in the heart of CocoWalk, which is very convenient, especially since it's right next to the parking garage. The decor is beautiful, with a lush tropical feel that perfectly reflects its name - Jaguar. Our group shared several dishes so we could try a variety of items, and everything was delicious. My favorite was the Pork Pernil it was incredibly flavorful and tender. The restaurant is on the pricier side, and the portions are not particularly large, so that's something to keep in mind when ordering. Overall, it's a great spot for the atmosphere and quality of the food.
I'm a big fan of Peruvian food. At first, the name "Jaguar" threw me off since I don't usually associate jaguars with Peru. I'd be curious to know the story behind it. My wife and I went with our moms for an early Mother's Day dinner, and we all left happy. Overall, it was a great experience. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. We ordered the Peruvian ceviche, chaufa, and pork pernil. The pork was incredibly tender, and the yuca fries were some of the crispiest definitely my favorite dish. The chaufa tasted good, but the rice was overcooked. The location is also a big plus. It's right next to CocoWalk, so a great plan is to have lunch at Jaguar and then walk around the Coconut Grove farmers market afterward.

After years of walking the grove and just looking inside this place I'm very disappointed with myself that I hadn't walked in here earlier. I recently went to a wedding reception here and the Latin American food that I had definitely has a new place in my heart. The smoked fish croquettes made me rethink what croquettes are suppose to be from how delicious, big and filling they were. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection and the ceviche makes me want to have my next date night here. They also have awesome service so if you're lost in the menu don't hesitate to ask the waiter for suggestions. Perfect for a business lunch, after work cocktails with great food or even taking that special someone out for a treat.

A very good restaurant with nice ambiance and good service. The Smoked Fish Croquettes were a perfect brown color and fried to perfection. Very delicious. The Grilled Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos had good flavor and taste. Usually, Mahi Mahi is hard to chew in a taco. Here, they were cut thin and was so soft in the taco.
Excellent drinks and service! The staff is so friendly and inviting, perfect place to hang out with seating inside and outside. Mojitos are especially good!
We came here with our family as a group of 7 during happy hour. I recommend making a reservation as it was busy! Drinks were delicious and I felt like they were a good deal during happy hour. The menu was big and full of things I want to try- but I ended up getting the seasonal special escabeche. WOW. Flavorful, perfectly cooked, and a big portion. I tried my husbands tiger prawns and was equally impressed. Service was good and I appreciated how quick they were despite it being crowded. Would definitely come back for a special occasion :)

What a wonderful experience! The wife and I had dinner here on a Friday night, and the moment we arrived, we were greeted by very friendly staff members. We were sat at a table within two minutes, and promptly greeted by a gentleman pouring us water, and our server Adalberto. The layout of the restaurant and the ambience that it creates is top notch. It is very tropical in nature, with natural outdoor tones, and bamboo, and lots of plants and ceiling fans. Thankfully their AC kept the place nice and cool. Adalberto was very friendly and very helpful in guiding us through the menu and helping us select cocktails, appetizers and our main dish. The food was delicious, and the cocktails expertly crafted. This was an excellent experience, and we look forward to coming back to try different menu items. Ps... Give yourself enough time to find parking. Unfortunately we parked in the Cocowalk garage which is a nightmare. read more

Usually - food is on point. I am not sure if it's due to the restaurant being more packed than usual because of Miami spice month - but my usual go to menu choice was less than desirable last night. The ceviche is always on point. 2 seconds after we ordered they came out with the guacamole. Tasted like the chips had been sitting in the dish for a while. My lomo saltado was extremely chewy over cooked, and the egg which is usually my favorite part to add to the rice was overcooked. The yolk tasted like a hard boiled egg. Not saying I won't go back... but this definitely inspired me to go try other establishments in the area read more

Decided to come and check this lil hidden gem. Has been here for a while and finally said let's do it! Place is very nice and welcoming. Food was super yummy and very tasty. Lomo saltado and grill fish. Had the bread pudding for dessert. Everything was superb. A must try, I truly recommend it. read more
Ate at Jaguar on a Saturday morning, and it was surprisingly empty at 11am for brunch. However, it started filling up around 12/12:30pm. The actual restaurant is huge with a bar and plenty of indoor seating, but there are also a few tables outside. I ordered the Yucatan Breakfast and Fruit Plate off the brunch menu, and both were delicious! The pork came out piping hot, and several of the waiters warned me not to touch the cast iron skillet. It also came with a side of tortillas and guac. For $15, I found the portion size to very reasonable! The fruit plate had an assortment of 7 different fruits, including red dragonfruit, pineapple, and kiwi. The staff here was great. We had a large party, and everything came out correctly and in a short amount of time. read more
Jaguar is our go-to date night spot! The staff are very kind and accommodating and remember us by name. The food is out of this world fresh and delicious, and the wait times are never long without a reservation, but the restaurant stays comfortably busy and lively. Bonus, we often run into friends here! It's so fun to walk around coconut grove after dinner and see the pretty architecture or walk along the water. Dinner here was great. We came.as a family for another birthday celebration. We were a party of 10 and made reservations prior so we were seated right away. It was the weekend so the Grove was full of energy. Jaguar definitely impressed with their music and wall murals. We all had had drinks of either pisco sours, margaritas, whisky, and bottles of red and white. All complimented our meals. We started off with the cheese empanadas which were fabulous, chips and salsa ( chips perfectly salted and salsa was blended so it was more of liquid than chunky form which went well). We also had the black market ceviche. It is an absolute must. I could've eaten it like a bowl of cereal it was so good! Around the table was salmon nora, chauffeur rice (with beef), churassco, mahi tacos, and steak tacos. Silence around the table. Everything was so good and worth multiple visits. We ordered the cheesecake for the birthday girl, that was absolutely delicious and had this cookie that gave it an extra crunch. Everyone's meal left everyone with smiles and pleasantly satisfied. Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing ambiance: fabulous restaurant! My friend was celebrating her 18th birthday here and had booked a reservation to celebrate with us and her family. We all had a great time together!! And the food was amazing and fresh! I recommend the Fish Tacos; i dont think I've ever seen so much fish in fish tacos lol. And literally the next day my parents wanted to try this place cause of how much we enjoyed it. They loved their experience as well! We got the guacamole as an appetizer; it was very fresh and the chips were nice and crunchy. For entrees, my father got the mahi mahi, my sister got the shrimp alajillo, and my mother got pork tacos. They all enjoyed their dishes! And i almost got the fish tacos again cause they were so good, but decided to change it up and get the Salmon Norma, which did not disappoint! For dessert, we got the chocolate cake, as recommended by the bday girl lol, which was soo yummy. The cake was warm and fluffy, which went well with the vanilla ice cream it came with. This place was awesome! A must go if you are visiting coconut grove. The ceviche sampler was perfect, we got to try 4 different flavors and that was awesome. My main was the octopus and that was one of the best octopus i have ever had!!! My sweet plantains were to die for as well. My fiancée got the mahi mahi with yuka fries and was super happy as well. Requested outdoor seating for lunch last week on Monday. It was not overly full indoors or out. The service was attentive and friendly, the food was fresh and tasty and the ambiance nice and breezy due to the overlapping canopies outdoors which was nice :) The restroom was well kept and clean and the indoor decor was rustic and welcoming. Next time I'd like to go for dinner and request indoor seating. read more

After a Saturday morning run, my friend and I decided to try this place out. We chose to dine outside, had we been dry we probably would have chosen to eat inside as the restaurant really is beautifully decorated. We were told we missed their brunch menu by a week-so sad! Next week they'll be rolling it out on the weekends. (So we'll just have to come back to try it). We ordered from their regular menu, which is extensive. It was difficult to decide what to order as every dish sounded delicious. After much debate, my friend and I decided we would split two dishes, the Lomo Saltado and the Arroz con Mariscos-mixto (which came with tuna, shrimp, calamari, and octopus). Both were large portions, we definitely had leftovers. The arroz con mariscos really had a healthy portion of seafood. But I really enjoyed the Lomo. The Flan de queso was also very tasty! Would highly recommend it for dessert. (Definitely shareable.) read more

I'm going to start out by saying I'm really surprised reading some of these negative reviews! I came here one weekday afternoon with a girlfriend and had excellent service and loved all the food. To drink I wasn't sure if I wanted the lychee mojito or the coconut mojito and my server was so kind and said she can get me a mojito with a mix of both! Like what? Above and beyond right there! I was waiting for my friend for quite so time (she runs on Miami time) so while I was waiting I want to say my server came around like 3 or 4 times to check if I wanted another refill, order anything in the meantime, etc. I really have to say the service was awesome. To eat, my friend and I got the Queso Fundido, the Ceviche Oriental, and the Fish Croquettas to split. Everything was delish!!!!! The queso hit the spot and it took everything in me not to lick the sauce off the plate of the ceviche oriental! The fish croquettas were so good we literally inhaled them! Also, the presentation of the plates was so nice. I really enjoyed this spot and would certainly recommend it to anyone in the area! I can't wait to go back!! The ambiance is also really pretty, trendy and chić, love the vibe here! read more

This has become my absolute FAVORITE spot in Miami. Located in the recently revamped Coco grove/coco walk area, Jaguar offers an incredible indoor/outdoor ambiance. Their happy hour is amazing (some food included!) and the service is attentive and friendly. The food tho.... SO GOOD!! Every dish is packed with flavor. Portions are perfect.
