Amazing Peruvian food. The best Chicharrón de Pescado. Very great service!! All the wines are exceptional!!

Wife was in the mood for some Peruvian food and decided to give this local spot a try. Although we drive by all the time today was our first time. They've been open for 39 years and really we had to kick ourself afterwards for not coming sooner. The restaurant is right on Coral Way. There is street parking but also they have a parking lot in the back. The inside is very cozy. They have TVs playing local games but without the sound so as to not interfere with your conversation. It was a Tuesday night and they had several tables going when we came in which was a good sign. We were greeted immediately upon entering. They have a nice selection of wine but we opted for a glass of wine and a Peruvian beer, called Cusqueña, which paired perfect with my meal. For starters we went with what we consider part of the staples of Peruvian cuisine, Ceviche Mixto and Papa a la Huancaina. Both were amazing. The ceviche was perfectly balanced. It had just the right amount of acidity without overpowering the fish. We asked for the spice to be on the side but when added it gives that perfect kick. The Papa a la Huancaina, I mean I would eat sheet rock if it had that sauce on it. It's so creamy and just the right amount of tang. We immediately said no to taking of our the plates just so we could soak up the remaining sauce with our bread. For entrees, we went with Jalea and the Pollo Saltado. The Jalea, which is really an appetizer meant for sharing except I wasn't sharing, was fried just right. It had a heaping amount of calamari, fish, shrimp and mussels along with Yuca fries. Yes everything is fried but it was fried just right. It wasn't oily or over done and the portion was insane. My wife enjoyed her Pollo Saltado, which is a variation of the traditional Lomo Saltado. It looked and tasted great. The only suggestion would be to have more sauce but otherwise it was on point. For dessert we tried both the Dulce de Lucuma and Bavarois. You can't go wrong with either but the Bavarois surprised me with how light and fluffy it was. It was like an airy merengue with peach bits and a sweet cream sauce. It was heavenly. But truly what made our experience even better was the service. Renzo provided stellar service from beginning to end. Not only was he great at answering all our questions and accommodating for all our special requests but was on point with timing on waiting till we were done with apps before firing our dishes. It dawned on me that although its great to visit hot and new places it shouldnt be at the expense of forgetting those that have been around and have figured out what it takes. Like I said in the beginning, they've been around for 39 years. There is a reason why, because they focus on the foundations of a good restaurant Food and Service. Definitely put them on your list of must try for great Peruvian food.

We went to Farolito this past Saturday afternoon to celebrate my Dad's Birthday. He loves Peruvian food and I had heard good things about this place. We were a party of 10 so I called the day prior and they happily set up a table for our group. The restaurant was very quaintly decorated with bottles of wine everywhere and artwork on the walls. From the time we entered the service was excellent. There were only two other tables accepted at that time and so we had two (2) servers standing by and waiting on us the whole time. While we waited for members of our party to arrive my wife asked the waiter if they had Sangria. While it wasn't on the menu, he happily said "I can make that for you. Would you like a pitcher for the table?". And that was the theme of the day. Very polite and friendly service and smiles all around. The food was really good too (see the pics!). We had a Jalea Mixta as an appetizer. It was so big that all 10 people ended up splitting it as the sole appetizer! Everyone in our party seemed to order something different, mostly seafood but a beef and a chicken dish as well. The seafood dishes included two different Ceviches, Fried fish and seafood stews. Everyone really enjoyed their food. For drinks the entire table ended up having the Sangria (or water) but the wine selection was pretty vast for a restaurant that size. Only my daughter had dessert (chocolate ice cream) and she liked it. But a few of us had Cuban Espressos and 'Cortaditos'. All in all, we really enjoyed our visit and we will be back! Kudos again on the Service! Our Chilean waiter - Luis, was awesome!!!

Very nice little Peruvian find. In the mood for some Lomo Saltado and came across Faralito. Nice little restaurant in the Brickell area. We started off with an order of mixed ceviche which was excellent. Ordered the Lomo Saltado and it was equally good. Service was great. If you are looking for a nice little spot for Peruvian, take a look at Faralito.

I was a little skeptical before coming it into this restaurant and once I did it was only amazing. The place is so nice inside, it was very romantic for our date and the service was good. The food was great as well.

Today, while waiting for something to print at Office Depot, I was searching for a nearby brunch spot when it popped up in my search & I'm so glad I did! First of all, the place is absolutely adorable. It was a packed Sunday morning around 11 a.m. Only one tiny table was left inside, though there were a couple outside too. Honestly, on a beautiful Miami morning, I wouldn't have minded sitting outdoors at all. What really stood out, though, was the service. Gabriela, our hostess and waitress, was wonderful. Warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind with a huge smile. She walked us through the menu, answered questions about dishes I didn't recognize (it's a Venezuelan spot, after all), and made us feel completely taken care of. Even more impressive was that she seemed to be the only waitress on duty yet never came across as flustered or hurried or anything other than pure sunshine! I ordered my longtime favorite, the arepa perica, just like I used to when I worked nearby, along with a fresh-squeezed orange juice and a chicken empanada to try. My father ordered the desayuno criollo. Everything was absolutely delicious. The presentation was beautiful, the plating thoughtful, and the flavors delivered across the board. The space was lively and full of families, making it a great Sunday brunch spot. Everything was spotless, and I don't usually call that out because it should be a given, but the restroom was impressively clean. Like extra clean. I also just learned they have multiple locations now, which is amazing. Well deserved. I can't wait to go back, and I wish them continued success.

I placed an order online through their website and drove to pick it up only to find out that their own website listed the wrong address for this location that Apple Maps has the wrong hours for. What a mess! By the time I got to the wrong address and called to figure out what was going on, my food had been sitting for 30 min and I was still 15 min away from the right address + 25 min to where I was staying. I had ordered arepas, empanadas and ceviche. When I finally arrived to pick up I asked for the food to be remade specially the ceviche since I didn't feel comfortable eating something raw after it seating on the counter for over an hour due to their mistake. There was push back but they finally agree to re make the ceviche only. However the rest of the food was cold by the time we ate it. Very disappointing. Food was ok, not amazing or memorable

At around 10:05 PM, I called the bakery side for assistance and the employee who answered hung up on me. When I approached the counter, the manager responded by recording me on his cellphone instead of helping. Another employee backed him up and claimed I was being "aggressive," which is completely untrue--I was simply asking why I had not been served. I have photo evidence of the interaction. As a disabled U.S. veteran, I found this experience especially disappointing. I expected basic service and respect, but instead felt ignored and disrespected. I tried to resolve this issue directly with the business before posting this review. I was told I would receive a response within 48-72 hours, but I never received any follow-up. Beyond the original incident, the lack of communication and accountability from management is disappointing.

We were seated right away, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. The service was excellent--our plates and silverware were always refreshed, our water glasses were constantly refilled, and Valeria was especially helpful and attentive. For appetizers, we ordered the octopus and the croquetas, and both were very good. The picanha was delicious and cooked perfectly. I ordered the special carbonara with caviar, which mentioned Wagyu bacon. While the dish was good, it was underwhelming overall. There was very little meat, and I felt it lacked flavor. The same went for the truffle mac and cheese--it was disappointing, with very little truffle flavor and not enough sauce or cheese. The portions in general were quite small, including the appetizers. For dessert, we had the warm cookie and the cheesecake empanada, and both were very good. The biggest downside was the cost. Our bill was very expensive (almost 500$) and we were also charged a 20% service fee, which came out to about $70. We were told that this fee goes "to the house," and that any additional tip would go to the server. That was surprising and honestly did not sit well with us. Overall, the service was great and there were definitely some highlights, but for the price, the food and portion sizes did not fully meet expectations.
