Went in last week to get a regular manicure. Don missed several of the sides on my nails. After getting home and putting my glasses on, I noticed what a horrible job. I went back. The staff ignored me. Finally got Don's attention. They told they would redo them. Went last night. The staff was very rude, they did redo them. Just moved to the area and have been on the desperate hunt for a nail salon close to me. I'll admit--I was absolutely terrified to try this place after reading some of the reviews. I was already rehearsing my "it's fine, they'll grow back" speech in case things went sideways. But I was in a time crunch, the location was ridiculously convenient, and honestly... curiosity won. I called, fully expecting them to tell me I'd have to wait three hours, but nope--they got me in immediately. A miracle in itself. I got the deluxe pedicure (which was lovely, but let's be real: the massage was NOT long enough--I could've used a solid 45 more minutes), nail art, and had my eyebrows colored and shaped. V took care of me and she did such a good job that halfway through I forgot I was supposed to be scared. My nails turned out adorable, my eyebrows came out great, and I left feeling way more put-together than when I walked in. I'll definitely be coming back to see V--she earned my trust, which is basically the highest honor a girl can give her nail tech. read more

I left my daughter with her sister, who later told me how they were treated. My daughter asked for a specific nail design, but the worker said they don't do that, even though the website has more detailed designs. My daughter also requested medium-length nails, and the attendant began to laugh at her, gesturing toward her sister's preference for shorter nails and indicating that she herself desired longer nails. He laughed dismissively and spoke with a condescending attitude. She then wanted a stiletto-like nail shape, and he kept on asking her, "Are you sure?" making her feel insecure. She could hear them talking bad about her and looking at her with attitude and rudely. The design that she came up with looked nothing like what she came out of the store with, and she mentioned that she changed up the whole design because they kept on laughing and making her feel wrong. It makes me feel really bad because it was her first time getting her nails done, and she had been excited for so long to do the set she wanted. I will never go to anyone else--Tina is amazing! It took me 15 years to find someone who truly understands gel nail polish. My gel used to last just over a week, but now it easily lasts three weeks with no issues. I can even go two months without any chipping on my toes. Went to this location looking for a new place to go, but unfortunately I don't think I will go back. The store itself is nice and clean, but the people who were working when I went were rude and difficult. The lady who did my nails barely spoke to me or looked at me. One start is even too much. Visited the location to get acrylic nails for my teen daughter. They did a terrible job on the nails. The nails fell off in a week and they were not even aligned properly, badly painted and had gaps. They are overpriced and bad. Stick on nails from the pharmacy might last longer, a lot cheaper and at least well painted. Never going back. read more

This is the second time they have tried to overcharge us and it is the same nail tech. We have been going there for ages but the last two visits with the same nail technician they have overcharged for services not provided. First time- they added over $30 in extra charges for my daughter's nails but since the services were done and extras were added and the nails were finished I was unhappy as no one asked us she just did it and added it to the bill but as a returning customer I overlooked it. Second time- the same nail tech that did this with my daughter.... per appointment I asked for a no. 3 pedicure which uses the callus removing machine etc., extra massage.... They did NONE of the above. Upon payment I informed the desk the services were not provided and that I got a "normal" pedicure and asked to be charged regularly and they responded "we have a witness- we used the machine on you." I informed them they did in fact have cameras in place and asked them to review because there was clearly a mistake but they were persistent. They tried to charge me another $40 for unprovided services but I refused. First time here and my experience was good. I came on a Sunday and it was not packed at all. Plenty of parking and also lots of shops nearby. I got a regular pedicure ($35) and I really liked it. I went to TJ Salon & Nail Spa on Ygnacio Valley Road at the beginning of the month and was over charged for a color change on my toes. their website states $7-$10 but I was charged $35, I confirmed with the lady who did my color change it it really was $35 and she said yes. About 10 minutes after leaving the salon, I called and asked them how much a color change for toes was and I was told it would be $25. I left a review on a survey that was texted to me and someone saying they were the manager texted me back apologizing and asking me to come to the salon so that they could make it right. I went in this morning and showed the guy at the front desk the text that I had gotten, he was a little rude and said that the text proved nothing and that I didn't have a receipt. I had him read my review along with the text the manager sent asking to come in; he said it didn't mean anything so I left. I would not have gone in if it weren't for the text asking me to; that was an embarrassing experience since there were other customers in the store. I would definitely not recommend this place with their shady pricing and poor customer service. read more

I went to this place looking to be my to go place for pedicures The staff was friendly and they took me right away. My Pedicure was done by a guy. Every time I get a guy I know it's not gonna be detailed and that was the case, he didn't cut my big toe nail all the way and all night I was in pain. Came back the next day because I was getting a haircut as well. The guy fixed my nail and he was apologetic, but the pain didn't go away and it took more than a week to get better, since I was putting ointment for the pain the polish got damage. Since I didn't want the same person to fix my polish I texted the lady who did my haircut to do it, that by the way she did a great job with my hair. She told me to meet her a noon and the end she asked the same guy to fix my polish, since it was the third time, he wasn't too happy he put a similar color polish but not the same so I ended up with two slightly different color toes nails but I just decided leave it like that. Part 1 Very horrible experience here. I've tried to give them couple chances this last time was it for me. I went in on Tues March 7th 2023 for acrylic overlay on natural nails with gel and a gel pedicure. I spent $150 all together, $60 on my nails and $90 on my toes.  At first when Don did my nails I thought it was fine so I move on to do my pedicure and get the $75 package with gel extra $15. Everything was rushed and it was not busy at all it was 3 customers at this time so no reason to rush or do a shit lazy job. She hardly scrubbed my feet, she runs out of a product and cuts the tube open literally gets a pea size of product out of the tube and puts it on one of my legs and I'm on the phone but still watching her from the corner of my eye she must have thought I wasn't paying attention and instead of getting another tube of product she takes lotion and rubs it together with the pea size product on one leg and just lotion on the other leg...how cheap and lazy seriously. So basically I paid for a product that's supposed to come with my pedicure but didn't get it. She then asks me what shape I want I said square she gives me oval and cuts my toe nails short if she was to square them at that point I'd look like I have nubs as toe nails. On the $75 pedicure package says 20 mins of massage...I checked my phone to see the time when she started massaging literally no joke it was less than 4 mins. Then says done go now. Before I left I washed my hands as I'm drying them the napkin kept getting stuck to my nail and realized the acrylic is already lifting from my real nails even before leaving the place! I tell Don guy that did my nails, he was working on someone else's nails by this time. All he said was "I cut, or glue" I said "no I don't want cut or glue I want fix" I said " you can glue today but i want it fixed" I can come thursday" he said "I'm off Thursday make appointment come friday" a chubby lady comes over makes the appointment for me writes down my name, number, what my appointment is for at 1 o'clock. I then come back on Friday March 10th 2023 about 15 mins early. The guy at the front greets me and I tell him I have an appointment with Don at 1 o'clock he said "no" and started talking in their language. He then seems very flustered and irritable tells me to sit and someone will do it. I said "where's Don?" They say "Don left family emergency " I said why didn't anyone contact me they didn't say anything. Got a pedicure and manicure. The lady who did my pedicure did a great job and was lovely, but the one who did my manicure was careless, rude, and did a poor job. She didn't fully cure a bunch of my gel nails before taking them out so a lot of them ended up bumpy, looked like a disaster, and quickly started flaking off. When she saw the bumpiness on my nails she tried to first blame me for bumping them against something, then changed her accusation to it being my "oily skin", which I do not have and in fact have fairly dry skin. She then did not fix her mistake but just continued with the bumpy polish and left me with a mediocre job at best that looked like a kid had done it. For those reasons, I can't recommend the place for nails since it seems like a 50/50 whether you get someone who is nice/competent. read more

Went in today for a nail acrylic fill. Tech appeared rushed and was on her cell phone a lot. The tips are bubbling or gloppy, uneven and ugly. I have never experienced this outcome before. Thought my mom for her birthday. So close to home so great location. Easy parking. Great places around it to go shopping or grab a bite. The three lady's who did are nails made sure we were comfortable. They talked to us a lot and included us in conversation. This really made the experience. I did not feel like I was awkwardly sitting their on my own waiting till the end and would have daggers if I talked. They were welcoming and pleasing to have painting our toes. There are so many color options that you can choose from. I went for something that was not my usual. They made sure I liked the color. I loved it. Also I did not feel rushed like once they were done I automatically needed to get up and leave. Overall great experience. I've been several times, and it has been mediocre. I got a $75 gift certificate and I priced it out online. It would work for gel mani- pedi- or so I thought. I was told that the prices online are incorrect. They went up. I proceeded with both gel mani and pedi. I was disappointed because there was very little attention to my cuticles for the pedi, and the gel mani got zero attention. Just the gel nails with nothing else done. So, I've gotten my nails done here before and it was not horrible but it definitely isn't ever my first choice. However, this past visit is most definitely my LAST. The day before my 30th birthday I was running out of time before going out of town so I decided to get my nails done at TJ because it's close to my job. I get there and they're a little busy, no biggy I use the time to answer emails and pick my color. When it's my turn I let my tech now what I want and she starts the job. She's taking a an usual long time to shape my nails but whatever I figure she's the professional not me. When she's "done" I see that the nails are thick, have no real shape and there is a distinct separation between the acrylic and the nail color. (See the picture attached) I was not happy with the service but had no time to stay any longer and have them fix it. But what made it worse is that the cuticle area was cut on my middle finger so a few days later the cut got infected. The only reason I didn't go and cause a scene was because they told me I could go back in and they'd fix my nails. They were apologetic but the damage was done. I was not happy with my nails at all but serves me right for going back to a place I never liked in the first place. Lastly i want to add, when I finally made it to my normal nail tech for a fill, she asked me if I had tried to do my nails myself...yes it was that bad. To start off with some pros: 1. Wait was short. 2. Friendly staff Now the cons with my experience: 1. The last pic is what I asked for and new rest is what I got. Hardly a marbled pattern at all but I dealt with it not being exactly like the photo. 2. The man who did my nails did not push and clean the cuticles so it looks really messy around the nails. 3. In all the photos, you can see dried acrylic on my skin because it wasn't properly cleaned and filed. 3. In pic 2, you can see that my nails were not entirely filled in and cuticles are atrocious, causing the nails to look crooked and lopsided. 4. He cut the nails after finishing the polish job so we had to commit to the crooked shapes. In pic 3, it shows where my natural nail beds were filed off and my left thumb has an open wound. You're supposed to cut the nails first before starting the polish to make sure the shape is satisfying before moving on to committing with polish. 5. I was charged $70 for this (got $10 off because it didn't turn out like I wanted), but I didn't receive decent service and the basics for a manicure like cleaning cuticles and acrylics, and was injured on top of that. I'll be pursuing a refund and wouldn't recommend coming here unless you get Tiffany. read more

Okay, it took me a while to decide if I wanted to post this or not and I gave them two stars because they're extremely friendly here and the disservice was partially my fault. I came in to get a gel pedicure and to get my gel manicure removed. The pedicure was fine, although it lasted less than 20 minutes and I came in with square toenails and left w/ round (why change them? who likes round toenails??) in this time she asked me again if I wanted my gel manicure removed and I stated that I did and that I cannot have gel polish on as a student where I go to school. We went back and forth about this but she insisted that I do a layer of pink dip powder and a layer of clear and it will look natural and make/keep my nails strong. This is where it's my fault, but I did not ask her how much it was going to be. Apparently they charge $50 for this and to me that is absolutely insane. I'm going to attach a photo because this is NOT worth $50?! My fault for not asking sooner, but I will never ever EVER pay that much for basically nothing again. Won't be coming here anymore because there are plenty of places that charge less and do way more including longer and better pedicures. $100 for a gel pedi and clear nails lmao. Mother's Day pedicure and I had the most awful experience. My daughter and I went in and we had an appointment, but had to wait. Understandable for this day. We were shown to our seats. One of the gentleman asked if I wanted to see nail colors. I replied yes, and I want gel polish. This is where the pleasant experience ends. The gal Michelle came over. She did not greet me or did she ask what type of treatment I wanted. Instead she looked at my daughter who has been there before and made a very questionable/rude comment. She continued with my treatment again never asking what I wanted done. Since my daughter made the appointment I assumed she had told them what we were doing. She barely did the basics. Did an awful job with the polish and then got up walked away and brought back my tag. At this point my daughter asked here why she didn't massage my legs or ask me what I actually wanted. Michelle did not use a gel as I had asked for either. My daughter said Michelle you were extremely rude to my mom, why? With a sour look she really didn't even have a reply. If I could give a negative response here I would. I will say there were other employees there who were very pleasant. I don't think I will ever go back. Management it was apparent that others know how rude Michelle. My question to you is why do you allow a person like this to continue working for you? Very polite people except for the lady doing my nails:( wish I got her name. I absolutely loved Nancy- super sweet and kind. Made an appointment online for a full set and was priced for 40 dollars. I wrote in the notes I wanted Short French Tips. The woman doing my nails was very aggressive and made my finger bleed. Nails did not come out well and she left a lot of excess acrylic and paint behind on my nails. My total was 65 which I thought was pretty pricy considering the website said 40 (I understood it would be more for french tips but it's a pretty simple design with no decals or rhinestones so I was shocked that the price jumped to an extra 25). Don't bother getting any services at this salon. They have the worst customer service. They are extremely rude and clearly can't run a business. I made an appointment and when I arrived they looked pretty busy. Cool. No prob- I get it. They asked me to sit for a few mins. 10 mins later passes. Nobody has said a single word to me. I ask how much longer and this lady with glasses makes eye contact with me but doesn't acknowledge my question. I ask another employee and he says 20 min wait. I explain to him that I called for an appt and that im limited on time. He doesn't apologize or anything and tells me 20 mins then he starts speaking in his language to the lady in the glasses.
