I love getting pedicures (as long as they do a good job). I've gotten about half dozen pedicures at Hi Tech Nails and each time they done a good job. They spend about 45 minutes which I appreciate (Annie does a wonderful job too!) I can't comment on the color selection (hahaha) but I do know what I like and appreciate. Ladies, you're probably (ok not probably), the expert in this field but as a man (who is secured about his manhood), I appreciate a good pedi. Called at 10 am for an 11 am appointment. I walked in at 11:00 and I still had to wait 30 minute before they attended to me. Pedicure was nice, but they didn't do any salt scrub or anything described in the menu. I got a regular pedicure and a shellac mani. Literally got my manicure done yesterday morning and the woman put too many layers that literally a day later the paint peeled off. (See pictures) Disappointed because if I had time this weekend I would have gone back for them to fix... I paid 52$ total to only have my nails last one night. Really disappointed. I went to do my nails and I came with glitter powder. When I asked to do a light pink color the manicurist recommended a little bit darker pink to cover over the glitter. I chose a different color which she said would cover the glitter, and so I trusted her to do her job. After she had applied two coats, the glitter was still visible. I pointed this out to the woman and she assured me that a third layer would finish the job. Again I trusted her because she is supposed to be a professional. After the third layer on one nail, the glitter was still not covered. I pointed this out to her and she said I needed to pick another color. Together we picked another color, same tone, a little darker. After she had applied two more layers of the new color, she declared the judge b finished. The result was thick, poorly shaped nails, lumpy polish, and the glitter was still visible! I spoke with the supervisor to express my dissatisfaction and she informed me that I should have picked a very dark color. I told her that I had chosen my color with the help of the manicurist, but she refused to listen to me. I asked to have the nails redone and she told me I would be charged. I don't think I should be charged for the fault of the manicurist. I tried to compromise with her because the nails definitely had to be redone, either by her or at another salon. After discussing for several minutes she refused to accept either of the options so I paid the money and left disappointed. They clearly don't understand customer service. read more

Then I started with the nails every time I get my nails done it's always one nail that breaks and the paint job is poor. Ya, that's pretty important to someone like me who has to carry an epi-pen because I'm that allergic. I have sensitive skin too and they use skin products made for people like me. So far, I get my acrylic nails done bi-weekly with Helen. Sometimes I get busy and that turns into three weeks later. My nails last pretty long. Just note: I'm not easy on my hands to the point I can't wear rings because I've dented jewelry.... price of manual labor but my nails survive. I got a pedicure here which happens rarely for me. My feet are hella sensitive but Maria was very good with me. They perform waxing services here too! I got my eyebrows waxed to my perfection. I got my armpits waxed for the first time and Jenny was super cool. She told me it would be about a five minute wait so I left to complete a couple of errands. She took me right away, which I appreciated, because she could have taken the customer who came in after I left. Lynn did such a beautiful job. I wondered into this store a little over 4 years ago. I was just looking for a pedicure. The moment I walked in I was warmly greeted and sat right away. There was one other woman there getting hers done. After my pedicure I was really surprised to fine it was only 20 dollars, I then saw that a manicure was 10 dollars and asked if they had time to do one, they were more than happy to help me. Since then I have gotten my cousin and 3 of my aunts to become regulars. Being in Todos Santos it makes it really easy to have a "girls" day out and start it all off with amazing mani pedies (which inclue a message chair as well as a message for your hands and/or feet). I went to get my acrylic done at this place worst experience ever I'm a noobie at acrylic so I asked many questions before committing. First of all before even the process started they did not clean or sanitize my hands just started working on it straight from street. REALLY.... Have a a job that requires being very gentle hand, I work with infants. After a week my left indicator tip fell as well irritated and mad I did not call back. I went to day to get simple acrylic nails with just plain nail polish over them. I wanted a sort of oval shaped nail but more square. The first lady knew what i wanted but soon after they changed the lady to another one. She did such a horrible job. She left them so lumpy looking, all lob sided, my nails look all off the the right like leaning. ONLY ONE nail came out the way i wanted it to be. The nails are so thick and poorly done. A waste of 24 dollars. She looked upset when i did not leave a tip but come on i showed you a picture and told her many times they were too long and were very much leaning to one side and she said she would fix it but never did.
