10/10 would recommend to any and everyone. Katrina is literally the best at what she does. I've been going to her for about a year and when I say she is everything I was looking for in a nail tech, I'm not exaggerating. Not only is she amazingly talented, she's very quick and super nice! Hannah, who does the pedicures, is also so kind and equally as amazing! If you're looking for your go to nail spot in the Bay Area look no further. Also pricing is super affordable!

She was great! I was able to get an appointment the same day I called. I'm new to extensions and I got Gel X for the first time. They're a little shorter and not quite the shape I thought I wanted but I think that is my own learning curve of figuring out what I want and how to ask for it. The shop is super quiet and clean, parking is easy and she was done in the time she estimated. I'm excited to go back and try fun designs next time.

Katrina's Nail Salon is hands down the best nail salon I've ever been to--and I have very high standards. I usually do my own nails, but Katrina is the only person I trust to do them for me. I've been going to her for years, and somehow she just keeps getting better and better every time. Not only is her work flawless, but she's incredibly fast. For example, I got a French gel manicure done in just 40 minutes--and it was perfect. I genuinely don't know how she does it. The quality she delivers is top-tier, and honestly, she could (and probably should) be charging more. Her pricing is surprisingly reasonable considering how exceptional her work is. Beyond the nails themselves, the service is just as amazing. Katrina is kind, professional, and truly cares about her clients. Katrina is so sweet and kind and wonderful! She was able to get me in last minute for a gel polish color change and she was so quick and efficient. She also let me know that my nails were a bit thin, and not the healthiest they could be. I really appreciated her honesty about that, I've never had a nail technician actually give me a heads up about that before. To me it shows that she truly cares about her clients and wants the best for them. Now I'm on a mission to get my nails to a healthier state, thanks to her advice! I don't see why they got five stars. It's very hard to find the salon. Only two seats with two ladies in those two seats and I had to wait about 10 minutes. The lady working on the ladies didn't even put her head up to say hi or welcome in. The customer had to tell me to sit down and relax since she was the only one working. I left for another salon and was taken right away and was greeted well. I guess if you're a customer of theirs you get treated better. Later, she did call me and apologize for being late. read more

She was great! I was able to get an appointment the same day I called. I'm new to extensions and I got Gel X for the first time. I found Katrina through IG a couple of years ago and I'm so happy I did! She is the sweetest and best ever. She always responds quickly to my appt requests. Not only can she do literally any nail inspo you bring in, she does it perfectly! She does quality work and will always make sure you're satisfied with your nails before you leave. Not only is she an incredibly creative & detailed artist who always executes my requests/vision flawlessly, the quality and durability of her sets are unmatched. She is the absolute queen of artistry & retention - in my experience her sets consistently last at least a month with no breakage or lifting and I always get extra long nails! look no further than katrina's nail studio for manicures and pedicures. katrina and hannah are so skilled and meticulous at what they do. i always request designs with manicures and katrina delivers every time. she will make recommendations if she doesn't have a specific color, but the final product is always on point. pedicures with hannah are - no exaggeration - heavenly. she sets the water temperature to exactly how you want it, shapes your toenails to your preference (seriously - she's the first person i've gone to who does that), and she gives the best massages. katrina and hannah are hardworking, kind, and genuinely good people who deserve all their successes and more. you will not be disappointed giving them your business. read more

The staff was very nice and my appointment started right on time. 9:30am on a Friday; I was the only one for the first 30 minutes. The ambience was relaxing. Everything was great until the nail tech cut me pretty bad. My finger still hurt and was sensitive 3 days after my visit. The thing that really disappointed me was my manicure didn't even last 2 days and was already chipping. I usually expect this a week after a manicure but 2 days later?! Anyhow, not sure if I will go back. If only I could remember the name of the tech who did my nails consistently for a few months last year...

finding a nail tech isn't easy -- especially in an area where there's so many options. you try a…read morefew, but it's kinda like cinderella... you're just waiting for the right fit. after doing some scrolling and reading reviews, I decided to give Beau Den Spa a shot. the photos looked great and the feedback seemed solid, so I finally worked up the courage to call. kimmy answered and was so sweet -- she asked what i needed and booked me for 10:15 AM the next day. when i arrived, i was greeted right away by a gentleman at the front, and one of the women immediately recognized it was me (happened to be kimmy), which felt really welcoming. although my appointment was at 10:15, i wasn't seated until around 10:30/10:45, but honestly, i didn't mind. they offer refreshments (tea, coffee, water), which was a nice touch. my nail tech was vi (i hope i'm spelling that right!). i came in with a full set from another shop, and i really appreciated that they don't let your nails sit in acetone forever. she removed my old set carefully and started prepping me for gel-x. i went with a stiletto/almond shape, which is totally new for me, so i was nervous but excited. long story short: i LOVE my nails. vi told me my fingers were made for the length and shape (maybe she was hyping me up, but i'll take it ). she also did my pedicure, and the experience was just as good. the bowl had lemons, lemon leaves, and i think even roses? the water temperature was perfect. it felt luxurious and relaxing. i spent about $200 (including a $20 tip). yes, it's pricey -- but in today's economy, that's not uncommon and it's pretty fairly priced compared to the other shops in the area. if you care about quality and the overall experience, i'd say it's worth it. and having Starbucks nearby doesn't hurt either. definitely coming back.

When I got there, it took about 10 to 15 minutes for my appointment to start, even though I got there on time. When she finally got to me, I asked if it was her and that I had the appointment for 3 PM. She started laughing and the other nail technicians started laughing and talking over each other. Of course I don't know what they're saying, but it felt a little condescending... Maybe I'm just overthinking things? She did a pretty good job. I feel like she rushed through it though. When I was in the middle of getting my nails dried, she said I can leave but be careful because my nails are still wet... I never experienced that before, as usual they let us go when we're done. And everything is dry and ready to go. Tip: If you happen to make an appointment, I recommend doing it over the phone or in person. Didn't seem like doing on their website was a popular choice. Busy af at 3 PM on a Saturday.

They take walk ins, have a bathroom, offer chips and water, but there was no feeling of a warm welcome. While it is a very beautiful salon, I don't think it is the salon for me.

Service: At the start of the service she was already rough. The drill seems to be set at HIGH, constantly burning you. When your hand goes into that light expect it to burn... a lot of pain I don't usually experience and I get my nails done every 2-3 weeks religiously. Design: I asked for stars design and provided a inspo pic. I'm very aware and considerate that designs will never turn out exactly like an inspo pic. However, half of them don't even look like she TRIED to make stars. I think the girl who did them is the owner so of apparently she does not mind doing half work.... I would have respected being told if a design is too challenging to recreate or it's out of their comfort zone... I still paid and even tipped because I do respect people's time. But PLEASE RECONSIDER COMING HERE...

I decided to go to lavish nails because they had good reviews and it was easy to make an appt online. When I arrived, I was surprised by how messy and unsanitary it looked. I have never seen a salon with so much stuff everywhere. There were nail polishes in boxes stacked on the floor and counter space in the back looked messy and cluttered. My gut feeling almost had me turn around and leave, but I did not want to be rude. I was seated next to the fridge in a pedicure chair. My pedicure was actually really nice. The lady took her time and gave a great massage. I probably would not have taken the time to write a review if I just had the pedicure. My terrible experience was with the nail tech, Simon. I asked for an acrylic fill and asked him for natural looking nails. Half way through, I looked and they were thicker than I like. I asked if they could be thinner and I thought I heard him say mmhmm. When he finished shaping, he showed me them and said he did a curve and that is natural. He stated he was skilled. I did not want to be fussy and now that I look back, I should have said something again because I went home and could not get over how thick my nails were. They looked bubbly and I could not put on my own jewelry on because they were so thick. I convinced myself to go back the next day. I went right when they opened and Simon asked what was wrong and I told him I loved the color and the shape, but my nails were too thick. I was very nice and he told me my nails go up and that is why he had to make them thick. He then said they will break easily once he shaves them down and can't gaurantee them next time. I said, that is fine. (My nails are very sturdy 1.5 weeks later). He begrudgingly filed them down and told me I should never get fake nails if I want them to look natural. I did not respond, but I have had so many fake nails that looked great. He went so fast that my nails have ridges. He did not say bye or anything. The cost for my nail fill and pedi was $120 and I tipped $20 btw.

I just wish it were longer and more treatment. I was not given/shown an option of levels for my pedicure I also still have calluses on my feet. The polish color does not look like the one I picked/ will need to get a polish change now while on vacation Also- Polish doesn't cover entirety of toes Plenty of parking when I went. I would go again- maybe ask for more clarification I was working remotely while here so wasn't watching every move

The haircut came with shampoo and blow dry too. It was very, very responsible in terms of cost too ($40 + tip). The salon is also very chic with seating, beverages as well. If I could drop 10/5 stars, I absolutely would. I've always loved a soft, feminine, luxury look. Think blush pinks, subtle sparkle, crystals, clean lines, and classy designs that still make a statement. Before finding Katrina, I spent years bouncing from nail shop to nail shop trying to find someone who could not only bring the vision in my head to life, but also get the basics right. A beautiful design means nothing if the acrylic isn't shaped properly. My sister finally referred me to Katrina, and I've never looked back. The first time I sat in her chair she was working in a larger salon. Since then she's opened her own private studio, and I'm so proud of her! Her space is adorable, clean, relaxing, and so much more personal than a busy nail shop. Her work is honestly unmatched. The shaping is so flawless that half the time I'd be happy walking out with nothing but a nude acrylic set because the foundation alone is THAT good. And when it comes to nail art... I swear she reads minds. I'll show her five different inspiration photos while explaining a million different ideas, and somehow she pieces everything together into exactly what I was envisioning. Every. Single. Time. The pictures I posted don't even do her work justice because they barely scratch the surface of all the beautiful sets she's created for me over the years. I began coming to Katrina roughly 4 years ago and I'm confident I will not find another nail technician. I've tried others and no one is able to quite get it aside from Katrina.
