Sad to say my first experience was horrible. I had high hopes coming into this salon but I should've done my research and chose Mimi as my nail tech. I had a gentleman. I came in with an appt I called the day before and let them know I had previous Gel-x on and would like a new set. I come in for my appt and he starts ripping off my nails so aggressively with a nail tip. I asked "is this the only way to take off gel-x" he said no but I gave a client at this time 3:15" he said " next time you need to tell us so we have time" I clearly told him I told the lady on the phone I had gel-x on and needed removal with new set. So now the whole time he's rushing doing my nails on top or that he has an ATTITUDE while asking me which shape I said round medium, he said the picture you showed me is almond I said I know I want round and then I showed him a picture of the shape I wanted he began to tell me that's oval like not in a nice way, I asked for a deep French and showed him a picture of exactly how I wanted my French and begins to do it thin and not thick like the picture he never cared to educate me stating that it was called normal French. He also didn't care to go over the base color I want he just said pink and then proceeded to paint my nails the 1st 2 coats were good then it started to look more pink I said no more coats. Overall my experience with him was horrible! I do not recommend getting this guy because if he has another client after you he will RUSH didn't even cut my cuticles or anything like that. And this is why I don't go to nails salons or I am picky with who does my nails but I don't think I've ever been treated with so much attitude in my life. The first service I had was a gel manicure, Mimi did great, my nails lasted almost 3 weeks. My second visit her husband did a pedicure and I'll be honest I was so stressed at first. I am SUPER sensitive around my cuticles and sides of nails and so far every shop I've tried since my recent move to Concord, has been rough. The techs are rough and instead of being able to relax I'm anxious the whole time. This was different! He was very gentle, never hurt, and took his time. He was a perfectionist with the dark red polish I chose. I also decided to do a full acrylic nail set this time, Mimi nailed it! My nails look even better than the photo I showed her. READ BEFORE YOU GO HERE! i honestly don't even know where to begin but all i can say is that i've never had such bad experience going to a nail salon EVER. i came in for an appointment and was sat down right away, i was really excited to get my nails done since my birthday is tomorrow yet it all came to a huge disappointment. customer service was not friendly at all & the nails turned out bad. while i was getting my nails done, another worker came up and was chatting with the person that was doing my nails in vietnamese. she looked me up and down and called me fat in vietnamese. what they didn't know was that i am vietnamese and is fluent so i understood EVERYTHING they said & felt extremely uncomfortable. they continued talking and the lady that was doing my nails was telling the other lady how the shape i wanted was hard to do (almond shape) and was very in confident in what she was doing. but that was not all, i experienced very bad pain while she was filing down my nails because she was so rough with it, one of my nail was bleeding too. after all the filing, she finally painted and did the design (which in my opinion was a simple design for nail techs) yet she still messed up. i didn't look up close until i left the salon but it was extremely messy and uneven (pictures with be shown). there were glue under my nails and it stuck to my skin which hurts really bad. i'm a very understanding and nice person and didn't want to make a scene, also the fact that i didn't really look up close to the nails until after i left. the price they charged me for is ridiculous. $83 for medium length simple design. i got a very similar set, with color, elsewhere for only $60 and my experience there was great, they were gentle and soft with my nails. coming here today is something i regret. the only reason i came here is because everywhere else is full and was last minute. overall, i was not happy and satisfied coming here at all. if you decide to open up a business, always be kind to your customers and not talk smack behind their back EVER. and have reasonable prices for the work that you do. do better. the owner seem to only reply back to the positive reviews and not the negative ones read more

I have never had a bad experience here... but today I left feeling unsatisfied. I've been coming to this salon for years because the service always felt personal. Today my nail tech.. Sam I believe was her name talked to her coworkers the entire time and it felt to me more as if I was a job that had to be done. It was not a good experience. I also wanted to try the gel spa mani that's in the menu. I repeatedly stated I wanted the one that was in the menu and they gave me something completely different. They claimed that it was the new one they were offering. I am unsatisfied because I wanted the one that is offered in the menu. Not sure what service I got, but it's not at all what I wanted. My first visit, I was seated up front. I had gel on and needed a fill. The girl gave me colors to choose from then asked if I wanted to try 'dip'. I hadn't had that before and she said it will last longer than gel. So, I agreed. She filed the gel and then started on the dip process, didn't ask to trim. I asked about a manicure and she said "no need" - wrong! The process was fast, I was done in about 25 minutes. I wasn't sure if this was the way they do business, I paid and left. After further inspection some of my nails were darker than others, some were lighter on the tips and it looked off. I was ready to write this review and give them 1 star. However, two weeks later, I was fed up with my crappy nail job and called to make another appointment and inform someone about my previous appointment. I was scheduled with Mimi and was so happy I gave this place another try. I told Mimi about my last experience and what a wonderful difference with Mimi! She worked on my nails, completely starting over and gave me a fabulous manicure. She asked if I wanted a trim and what shape I would like. When I was skeptical about the color I chose, she confirmed it was a nice color for me and in the end it was! When she finished. My nails look amazing, my cuticles were nice a trimmed and I was so happy! Mimi is so talented and took time to make my regular fill a great experience! You will need to sign in when you get there. Then they have a couple chairs for you to sit on if you happen to be there early. Mimi has been my nails tech and she has been nothing but absolutely amazing. She is so sweet, talented, fast and artistic. She holds her honest opinions when asked which design she thinks it fits the most while being polite. The nails area overall is clean, one suggestion I may have is to clean up some dust or attempt to sanitize the area when the next customer shows up. The seat is comfortable and overall nails experience is great. Then, I found out they do lash extension too. Since I loved the nails so much, I decided why not have my lashes done there too. I had them done elsewhere originally, and Hannah retouched them to give me a refined look. There was no pain, no scabbing, and they look flawless. I work a busy schedule and care for my elderly mother -- Hannah accommodated my schedule without hesitation. She has an extremely gentle touch and thoroughly explains how to care for your brows for aftercare. I have my lashes down with Hannah as well. My son has prom today. For the first 30 years of my life I wasn't known for being a nail girl but I've been going to Alegna and seeing Mimi for over a year now and, according to my friends since I've started going here, I "always" have the "best nails" now. I have decent nail beds (according to the nail ladies I've seen through the years) so the most important aspect of a good salon, to me, is the ability to replicate nail art or have flawless polish application. I know others who really stress the cuticle clean up or the hand massage process but those two aspects mean little to me and to the review I gave so keep that in mind if it's important to you. My nails have always been executed flawlessly here. Mimi is an artist - I'm not exaggerating - watching her look at a reference picture and proceed with recreating it with a tiny brush on a small nail all day every day is wild. I believe that pictures speak for themselves so I'll let you be the judge but just know that the quality and artistry is 12/10 for me. I cannot rate this nail salon higher. Both services make sure they are sanitary and professional from beginning to end which makes me feel at ease. My first experience here 3 years ago was AMAZING. I had actually started a review giving them a 5 star.. I went in because I have been wanting to do another Jelly Pedicure from here and my last experience was wonderful. The bowl was full of the jelly and water , I was able to soak my feet and not feel rushed. I'm not sure what has gotten into these nail salons but they have changed!! They rush their pedicures, I wasn't able to soak my feet a minute this lady is already coming in preparing my feet before the polish... SOOO ANNOYING! On top of that there was barely any water in the bowl so it looked like the stuff that's inside diapers when it gets wet and spills out. I had to ask her like 3 times to add more water and she would run it for like 10 seconds and turn the water off like they're having a water shortage or something. This pedicure felt like 20 minutes if that. Mind you I'm paying $55 for this pedicure with gel and they won't even spend a GOOD 30 minutes on you. Then they want to ask for tips in cash.. Who keeps cash on them? You want me to take an extra 15 minutes to go pull out cash and you can't even do my feet for 30 minutes???? Ohhh and I decided to do dip for my manicure.. this TOPS IT OFF. She tells me it's $10 to clean my cuticles unless I get acrylic it's free!!! like WHAT y'all are getting over. I will continue on my journey to find a good nail salon. I like to soak my feet in hot water, enjoy the massaging and relax. I didn't get that and these nail salons need to realize we pay them ALOT of money for their services. read more

Still a great nail salon. The facility is still very clean and they use liners for the spa tubs. I bring my own polish so I have the ability to touch up at home if I need so, so I can't comment on their polish quality. Their work is good. The leg/foot massage was a little shorter than I experienced at other places, but it was still nice. They also used some hot stones and a hot towel. Ignore my sort of oddly shaped toenails in the photo. That is not their doing. Between martial arts and running, my toenails are odd and damaged. I feel they do a great job shaping my weird nails considering what they had to work with, ha. I like another local place a little better, but she has only one chair, so I would come here again when I want to visit with friends for sure. read more
