Pure old world dining with elegance!! This was truly a magnificent and tasteful experience. The rooftop for pre drinking is a must and very cute. The drink menu on the rooftop is so fun. I had the Elevensie it was very good!! We started off with the bread service, the one with Burrata this is a MUST HAVE!! If you don't do bread service you are definitely doing yourself a disservice. We had the Harvest salad and this was perfectly dressed and well balanced flavors. I tried the French Onion soup and this was my first time ever having it and it did not disappoint at all. Very classic and yummy. I ordered the Lobster Risotto which was absolutely delightful except for the chive over kill lmao lol but it was really delightful. If I could give them a 0 star I would. This was the absolute worst service I have ever had. Food was great but service really ruined it. Our server was beyond rude. We sit down he just goes what do you want to drink, then doesn't even give us any sort of recommendations when asked and just goes "what do you want next". I had the best dining experience in some time at Tiny Lou's. Across all of my travels, I have to say this restaurant's staff are THE friendliest. Everyone had a kind word or banter and the atmosphere was relaxed and romantic. A great place to take yourself on a date or reconnect with loved ones. The brioche bread service is almost a reason to go on its own. You'll pass out before your meal even comes. The streak frites entree had an astounding portion size for a place of this caliber. So many fries - and they were exquisite. The steak medium well was a nice choice the staff talked me into because I'm a well done girl through and through. The PASTRY OPTIONS were to die for and I would return for those alone. The apple lychee sorbet dish was like an inside-out apple pie with so many textures and temperatures. So delicious. Service is excellent -- valet parking, doormen at each door, and suddenly you're transported into what feels like someone's curated home -- both homely and cafe-like all at once. I'm picky about them, and I felt that they were caramelized just right, not too soggy or thick on the inside, not too burnt on the outside, and the green apple slices helped balance the salt. Fair warning that it is a heavier/greasier dish. My friend got the omelette, and it looked beautifully fluffy. I got the French toast. Again, loved the use of the green apples. I wouldn't say the toast itself was anything too special though, especially after starting with the brussel sprouts. It was a bit over-soaked with syrup (comes with syrup already on it). We visited Tiny Lou's last night for my birthday dinner and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about it! Living just down the street, I can't believe I slept on this place for so long. This was my first time visiting the Clermont, and it's clear how much time was spent curating the design during renovations! The mid-century art deco theme continues throughout the entire building, including Tiny Lou's. The restaurant is located downstairs and has a great atmosphere and dim lighting - not exactly conducive to good food pics and social media posts, but definitely adds to the overall vibe. Though the food was absolutely to die for (I'll get to that momentarily), the star of the show for me was the incredible service, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The maître d' wished me a happy birthday and our waiter met us up front and walked us to our table. After welcoming us, he handed me a birthday card signed by several members of staff, which was a thoughtful touch. I wish I had've caught our waiter's name because he was absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable about the menu and all of the wine pairings, charismatic, funny, attentive, and helpful. But every single member of staff we came into contact with was great. For drinks, I had the Grounds For Divorce ($12) and my parents both ordered the Big Trouble in Little Cynar ($13). We all loved them both, but agreed that the Grounds For Divorce was the winner! If you like ginger, you'll love this. We also had a bottle of Malbec ($75) per our waiter's recommendation that paired with our food and were blown away. The food was all amazing. We ordered the Maine Diver Scallops ($16), Black Cocoa Foie Gras Torchon ($18), and Roasted Octopus Niçoise ($16) from the hors d'oeuvres menu. This came with their house brioche, which was hands down the best bread I've ever had. For our entrees, two of us ordered the Whole Roasted Loup de Mer ($29) and the Pork Wellington ($29). I would recommend all of these choices! For dessert, we had the Crêpe Cake ($12) and the Ode to Blondie ($9). Both should definitely be on your must-try list, but if I had to choose one, it would be the blondie! The PBR caramel and cream cheese ice cream served with it was unbelievable. Obviously, Tiny Lou's is a little more boujee than your average date spot (at least if you're me, a millennial always in search of a good deal). But for a special occasion of any kind, this is the place to go! Wonderful service, amazing drinks, and incredibly crafted food all make the experience worth the price. Made a reservation for dinner well in advance for my husband's birthday while we were visiting the area. It was recommended to me by a friend that lives here, and I am so glad that we took her advice! Tiny Lou's has a very intimate atmosphere. The staff members are all helpful and kind, willing to help in any way that they can to ensure the customer has a good experience. We started with two cocktails which were both very good and different. My husband had the one that was like an old fashioned and I had the medicine for melancholy with Tito's vodka in it. We started with the bread service and WOW, it was the softest bread I have ever had...I'd highly recommend spending the $5 for the bread service. We started with beef tartare as it came highly recommended and again the bread that came with it was so good, the beef tartare itself had wonderful flavor and was very easy to eat. I got the trout as my entree and my husband got the rabbit casserole/stew - only compliant was that the rabbit was somewhat dry, but after letting it soak in the sauce a little more that was fixed. For dessert we got the Royale and French kiss and both were spectacular! The Royale is very rich chocolate but it's so easy to eat. After dinner we went up to the rooftop bar which is beautiful, it was right around sunset time and the view was indescribable. However it was so busy we decided not to wait in line for a drink. I came here for my birthday on a Monday night. It was delicious. Parking: Valet or street parking. Location: Clermont Lounge-walk in straight, turn right, and down the stairs. Lighting: I recall the lighting being dim, but not super dark that you can't see your food. And you don't need flash to take pictures. (You shouldn't use flash to take pictures in a restaurant ever, to be honest.) Service: is amazing. At least during this one visit, it was amazing. They know what they're talking about. Tell them what you like and you could probably trust their recommendations. I'm not a picky eater so whatever, I think..., Michael? Suggested, I LOVED. I think when the staff love the food and drinks they serve, you know it's a good place to be, at least for myself, it makes the experience more memorable and I enjoy everything that much more. Tiny Lou's is truly a fantastic dining experience in itself. From the moment you drive up to the front doors of The Clermont, valet is prompt and quick to greet you. The hotel has a very distinct, memorable design. I think I have read somewhere that the style of The Clermont has been dubbed " rock n' roll meets grandma's living room" lol! A quick right turn will have you left with three decisions. To the left there is the bar area, to the right you have a lounge area, and down the stairs you will be able to walk straight up to a host stand where seating at a table will be available for you. We decided to dine at Tiny Lou's for Sunday brunch. From a recommendation we reserved a table a couple days prior. Hostesses were prompt and warm. Our server Forrest was very attentive and gave us wonderful, very well detailed suggestions for our brunch. As far as our meal, we opted to do "family-style" amongst the three of us. For drinks we opted for your typical carafe of mimosa and as an appetizer we ordered the cinnamon roll which was very good but nothing spectacular or memorable. Our brunch entrees consisted of the breakfast crepe, steak & eggs, French toast and the chicken biscuits & gravy. The crepe was phenomenal-simple and tasty, steak in the steak & eggs were cooked to perfection, French toast was drenched in a decedent syrup- topped with a generous amount of colorful, sweet strawberries. The chicken in the biscuit was coated with a lovely crispy breading-my only suggestion is that the dish could have used way more of the yummy gravy. I cannot wait for my next visit to Tiny Lou's. Brunch was incredible. I cannot wait to see what is in store for dinner and dessert! Also, check out the roof top patio! Went for my birthday We started with a quick tour of rooftop and then went down in basement to Restaurant. I got a nice card hand signed from various staff. The waitress was amazing as she strode in and made great suggestions about the food We started off with cocktails and wine. We had the scallops and hamachi tartare both good. We had the tender chicken with the amazing pomme Ali got and trout ( okay) .Both entrees are quite large and shareable. The sides of the compte crepe and lentils are a great light enter. for dessert we had a birthday apple pie ( ok) but the ruby was delish . White Shrimp and Lump Crab Brochette seemed to be missing the butternut squash. The lump crab tasted good, but it was presented as a visually unappealing brown tube squirted on the shrimp. Sadly, even the desserts were a disappointment despite claims of the best pastry chef in the city. The crepe cake had a strong artificial strawberry flavor. Fries were delicious. The burger was really good but heavy. It was double patties and meaty! But very good. The bread service which is really just a loaf of bread is a must. We came here pretty late on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was nearly empty, so we were able to enjoy a mostly quiet romantic dinner. Our waitress was very pleasant and told us a bit about the history of the restaurant, hotel, and bar. Delicious burger and nearly a whole plate of French fries that were also very good. The food marks are very low considering the price level. We had many different apps including macaroons, tuna, etc. however all missed the mark. Had brunch at Tiny Lou's this morning after our stay at the Clermont. We wanted to have dinner the night before, but the resturant was booked! That's ok, we will be back. Thankfully, we were able to order some food from the menu at the upstairs bar and take it to the room. I'll save those details for the hotel review. Tiny Lou's brunch menu has a selection of American classics with a French twist. A dish called Fromage Brulee with toasted Sourdough was a light and tasty start. Instead of chicken n waffles, they had a Duck Confit over Waffles with strawberries and basil, which was delish! The pastry basket had fresh baked madelines, which were light and airy, along with, crossaints and a jam. An important start for us was the coffee, which was a delicious french press. Yum, yum. We loved the classic decor, and contemporary elegance. I would highly recommend reservations, even for brunch. We had a tiny hiccup and I had to send a dish back. However, what was impressive was how the server, runner, and manager all worked together to resolve the issue. In this regard, and in other ways, the service was excellent. They really went above and beyond to ensure the food and experience was well done. We sincerely enjoyed our brunch experience, and are already planning our next visit to Tiny Lou's. Man, I've been waiting to review Tiny Lou's until after testing out their tantalizing brunch too, but since this pesky pandemic isn't skedaddling anytime soon, here goes! I highly recommend "swinging French-American brasserie" Tiny Lou's for a special occasion. They gave me a signed card in a golden envelope which was a kind touch. I'm big on cards so this gesture garnered a million points in my book right off the bat. You can make a reservation on OpenTable. Even if you're not celebrating, Tiny Lou's is appropriate for all situations; I spotted an elderly guy eating solo, two friends catching up, couples on date night, and a large group. It was tough selecting dishes, but here's what I tried during dinner: - Appetizer: Duck Consommé ($14). The broth was great but it was all about the little foie gras dumplings for me. Yum.  - Appetizer: Roasted Octopus Niçoise ($16). No complaints. If you are a cephalopod lover, try this dish out.  - Side: Crispy Fried Brussels Sprouts ($7): Apples are listed though I didn't taste much of 'em. But no biggie since the delightful glaze/sauce is all you'll be recalling later. DELICIOUS. - Main: Clermont Burger ($16). This burger can hold its own with all the big names in Atlanta. The charred balsamic onions and house bacon jam did it for me. And Gruyère as the cheese. Yes please! Plus the fries were crispy and salted appropriately. I actually assumed the burger didn't come with fries which is why I ordered the Brussels sprouts. No matter, I'm glad I got to try the sprouts and the fries! Another all-caps DELICIOUS. - Dessert: The Royale ($9). Save room, rather, carve out room for dessert. I read about Tiny Lou's pastry chef Claudia Martinez in Eater, and she certainly knows what she's doing. Though the Ode to Blondie is the signature sweet, I had chocolate on the brain and ordered The Royale which is a chocolate lover's fantasy. It's essentially a gigantic clear sparkly capsule of chocolate mousse topped with a big ol' gold flake. With cardamom ganache. Striking in both looks and taste! DELICIOUS yet again. Our server was an older woman who was on the stodgy side. She was okay but we were envious of the tables who were tended to by this comedian-like younger dude who seemed really lively and happy. The famous Hotel Clermont which is home to Tiny Lou's offers valet, but free street parking on Bonaventure Avenue is also possible. Once in the hotel lobby, turn right and walk down the stairs to access Tiny Lou's. I was digging the atmosphere in the restaurant which I'd describe as funky retro hip. The bathrooms are a tad tricky to find, but they're in the back of the restaurant, down a long corridor. I'll be back for brunch. Someday! read more

I can't comment on the atmosphere in the restaurant, but the bar and lounge area was like a scene from the Great Gatsby. Very chic and comfortable. We tried two drinks, the Twigg & Carries and Not My Hula Hoop! Both were tasty and unique. Next, we ordered the Duck Consommé as an appetizer. It was extremely small, with only 3 tiny dumplings, but man, oh man was it good!! I could've eaten 30 of them. My husband ordered the Clermont Burger and I got the Carolina Poulet Rouge. I had dinner last night with guests at Tiny Lou's; it was my first visit to the restaurant. While parking is a bit dicey, the attendant at the front of the hotel said we could park in the lot behind the building at no charge. When I was seated with my guests, Meg (hostess) was already at our table giving us the background on the restaurant the hotel. She did an awesome job! Our server (Ashlynne) came to the table afterwards; she too was knowledgeable and had a great attitude. Our food and drink selections were spot on and we had a great time. Afterwards we went up to the rooftop bar and although we didn't stay (chilly out this particular evening) the view of Midtown and downtown Atlanta is stunning. We had scallops as our appetizer and they were delightful. I ordered the lamb chops with polenta and my husband ordered the steak frites. We finished off the night with the crepe layered cake. There's also a large selections of wine and we went with a French white wine of course. My husband and I had a pre-Valentine dinner here on February 13, 2024. Where to start? Finding the restaurant was a headache due to lack of signage. It is located in the basement of a "historic hotel"...well, a Motor Inn actually. Once inside, the staff were welcoming and friendly despite our waitress being covered in tattoos. The food was the worst french food I have ever eaten. I had the salmon rillettes for a starter. It was almost inedible and was way oversized. They served it with chips when it should have been accompanied by baguette slices. An expensive french restaurant with deviled eggs as a starter? Really? The steak frites was tough and slightly overcooked. They did the Truffle fries well though. It was so bad we did not even stay for dessert, which is not typical for us. This restaurant is awful. I used to live in France and if you're looking for a nice French restaurant in Atlanta there are many better classier establishments from which to choose. We will never go back. read more

Tiny Lou's had a great ambiance. Low Light. Romantic yet lively (we went on a Saturday night before going to hear the symphony). Ok to dress up (I wore a suit and turtle neck) or down. Waitress (Sydney) and service were outstanding. Very knowledgeable and responsive. The Matcha-colada was very different. We really liked it. Bread service was +$10...we passed. Top half of main menu were small plate items. 2 didn't have protein and it was an additional $15 to add chicken....$20 for Salmon. The bottom half of the menu has the only 4 or 5 full plate options. A bit limited. Chicken, Duck, Burger, etc. Not super impressive. Did the Burger and Gnocchi (small plate item so we added chicken)..both were good. And we added a side of the Brussel sprouts. Burger was very good. The Gnocchi and chicken did not have much flavor. And the Tart/Carrot Cake dessert was small and ok. $130 total. Not impressed but solid and has potential as they fine tune some menu items. Gave it a 3 for service and ambiance primarily. read more
